EC rejects common symbol to YSR Cong
The Election Commission of India has rejected the request of newly-formed YSR Congress floated by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for allotment of a common symbol to its candidates contesting the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula assembly bypolls. The EC made it clear to the fledgling party that a common symbol will be allotted to only those parties which field a minimum of 10% candidates in assembly elections. The order issued on March 25 by the EC rendered the YSR Cong ineligible for a common symbol as bypolls are being held only in two constituencies. Jagan’s party should contest at least 29 seats in order to be eligible for a common symbol. The YSR Congress is likely to field Jagan from Kadapa Lok Sabha seat and his mother Vijayalakshmi from Pulivendula. It is very important to show how YSR vision help state to emerge from 7th to 3rd in economic growth. It is very important to make to reach as many as possible in this situation.
I used to have a great respect for JP, but seems recently he keeps on proving that he is no different to other leaders. As I am an admirer of YSR and I doubt myself my own judgment.
Here I quote some instances for this:
1. In Margadarsi episode, he came out openly to support Ramoji Rao saying that if public did not complain why govt need to take action etc.
2. Gave a LS ticket to Vignan director Mr. Rathaiah who do not have primary membership in the party by the time.
3. Supporting TDP in many cases like:
i. Supported only CBN hunger strike on farmers issues and said do not risk life, but why not others?
ii. Voted TDP candidate for MLA quota MLC elections
iii. Long speech in the recent concluded assembly on land allotments in YSR regime, saying he has proofs for every case
* Actually our state do not have guidelines for land allotments for govt to follow. He always talks of system failure in any other case, but here he seems targeted the individuals in his speech mentioning only the cases in 2004-09 period.
* Why he do not file a petition to any court or investigative agencies, as he claimed he has proofs with him?
Your views on both of these topics will help a lot to many netizens, so called intellectuals and many. Thanks in advance.

The problem is with rest of india CBN is considered as pro reformist and economist…but nobody knows that he is a dumb guy…

Rajat Gupta was a co-founder of ISB too. Infact there was a big game plan by many of the corporate honchos to loot AP. CBN was acting as their agent. Rajat Gupta and co authored Vision 2020 and Eenadu took due care to publicise it and project CBN as messiah of AP. Billy Rao was another guy who got so much land for scot free. Bill Gates is a business man. It is not hard to lobby for guys like Rajat Gupta, Billy Rao etc to have Bill Gates come to AP and praise CBN to get so much land for free and 10 year-tax rebates. What will Bill Gates lose? Nothing. ‘Satyam’ Raju is another guy. Thanks to YSR, our state is saved from these scumbags.
True. Rajat Gupta used to promote babu a lot. In every interview and article, he used to mention no CM is as good as babu and he had never seen a visionary like babu . @Sesh, You nailed it. Vision 2020 is a gobal agenda promoted by World Bank, and the Big-4 (may be one of the Big-5 then) consulting company was just pushing forward its agenda. Our CBN was a catalyst for accelerating the agenda. Vision 2020 was capitalistic in nature, and does not accommodate views of all segments of people, and all major economist’s views of those days. Hence it was never a Vision for common man, whom CBN and his followers think as irrelevant, as long as they can see a % growth in some XYZ economic parameter. The flaws in this Vision were obvious, from day 1. CBN had a hidden agenda, to make money for himself and his followers. This is the stark difference with that of YSR, where we had inclusive growth in all sectors (including those highlighted by CBN like IT, Other Services and Manufacturing), where the benifits touched the grass-roots. Thats why Common Man voted YSR in 2009.

(b) YSR’s Vs CBN Vs MMS views on Development.
There is a stark difference between YSR’s viwes on Development with respect to World Bank Views copied by Manmohan Singh and CBN.
How about Sakshi doing an Interview with Dr Swaminathan to highlight what YSR’s Vision stands for and Dr Subramanian Swamy (Janata Party) to promote Jagan, and his defiance, and what it means to be a leader with integrity.
How about a clear program on “CBN Vision 2020 Vs YSR Inclusive Growth Vision” – clearly hitting them under the belt where it hurts. For this, Sakshi should use other prominent figures to promote YSJ agenda. They should not promote themselves. Otherwise it will be a self-goal. Its always better airing programs as ‘They Said’…than ‘I, Ram from Sakshi Says so…’. This is audience psychology 101.
This is the type of quality programs I expect Sakshi to make with confidence. They need to put the facts straight and promote it like hell 100 times, no mincing words, just plain hitting
very good idea..but Swaminathan will talk abt crony capitalism and beneficiaries of YSR policies too:) Infact, what kept AP growth story intact during YSR’s regime was inclusiveness of many sections of people which were previously ignored. However an unbiased view of any economist will favour that of YSR’s than CBN’s. CBN’s policies distanced certain sections to favour few. In any case CBN’s Vision 2020 was blurred and required a doctor like YSR to cure it!
A program can be made with interviews of Economic Professors of say A AP University, B Delhi University and C US / Europe Universit. All it requires is to identify those people who share YSR’s views and make them speak in front of Camers… and a scrolling comes below highlighting ‘Dean of … Univ’..’ or a back ground voice comes highlighting that professor’s experiences and how prominent he/she is.
Time to show the power of YSR to the match fixers, Avivekas, unfaithfuls, illegitimate intellectuals, and Italians. Let’s go and win and show the state and country what YSR means to us all.

According to sources, a survey said to have been commissioned by the ruling clique concluded that Jagan and Vijayalakshmi will trounce their opponents from both the Lok Sabha and assembly constituencies, and that the Congress will come third behind the TDP in Kadapa. Thus it is a strong Jagan who awaits a shaky Congress in the bypolls that would be Kiran Kumar’s first major challenge after taking over as CM.

In Andhra Pradesh, as the post-result mudslinging following the MLC elections continues to playout in interviews and other media, we get to see the many ugly sides that rear themselves in the ongoing tussle to best YSJ. Stripped of all options Congress is now resorting to other cards in its playbook, which we are learning is equipped with quite a few creative gimmicks to needle, impede and stall competition. Apparently the prospect of suppressing Jagan’s rise is more enticing than a united or successful Congress.
Scrambling at straws, Congress has resorted to unleashing a series of Income Tax raids on Jagan’s various businesses and enterprises. A subject of great absorption for Jagan’s detractors is his ‘ill-gotten’ wealth. The picture people would like to paint of Jagan is that he was born into poverty and so was his father and they suddenly amassed vast sums of money that becomes available to one merely because one’s father was a Chief Minister. Obviously that isn’t true. Given how utterly public Jagan’s life is, there is no secret to the fact that his grandfather made his wealth through his savvy investments in mining. As long as three decades ago, Raja Reddy, YSR’s father was a highly successful entrepreneur dabbling in mining activities, shipping, agriculture and real estate.
During the same time, India’s own impressive growth has transformed the poor into the middle class, the middle class into the upper middle class and therefore wealthy category and catapulted the wealthy into the mega wealthy club. Jagan’s admittance into that club was a natural progression led by an intelligent grandfather, a successful father who in his capacity as Chief Minister would most certainly have guided his son toward successful investments. What would people have rather preferred happened? That YSR forsook his family while he took care of the affairs of state? If Jagan’s wealth is to be questioned, so should that of all of the middle classes who find themselves with more cash in their pockets now than their parents and grandparents ever did. Let people make COLA (cost of living adjustments) to their assertions or else their fabrications could be termed as libel.
Against the backdrop of the MLC wins notched up by YSR Congress Party albeit the argument that the wins hold a slim majority, one has to only view the victory against the backdrop of the massive opposition mounted on him to deliver a blow to his aspirations by the combined forces of ‘historic’ political entities like Congress and the TDP. Hard fought as the battle was, YSR Congress Party’s success was that much sweeter because of the tactics employed by both the Congress and TDP. Jagan and his followers need to be doubly aware of the ploys that can be employed against him and anything can happen as desperate times call for desperate measures.

@Sesh, You nailed it. Vision 2020 is a gobal agenda promoted by World Bank, and the Big-4 (may be one of the Big-5 then) consulting company was just pushing forward its agenda. Our CBN was a catalyst for accelerating the agenda. Vision 2020 was capitalistic in nature, and does not accommodate views of all segments of people, and all major economist’s views of those days. Hence it was never a Vision for common man, whom CBN and his followers think as irrelevant, as long as they can see a % growth in some XYZ economic parameter. The flaws in this Vision were obvious, from day 1. CBN had a hidden agenda, to make money for himself and his followers. This is the stark difference with that of YSR, where we had inclusive growth in all sectors (including those highlighted by CBN like IT, Other Services and Manufacturing), where the benifits touched the grass-roots. Thats why Common Man voted YSR in 2009.

How about Sakshi doing an Interview with Dr Swaminathan to highlight what YSR’s Vision stands for and Dr Subramanian Swamy (Janata Party) to promote Jagan, and his defiance, and what it means to be a leader with integrity.
How about a clear program on “CBN Vision 2020 Vs YSR Inclusive Growth Vision” – clearly hitting them under the belt where it hurts. For this, Sakshi should use other prominent figures to promote YSJ agenda. They should not promote themselves. Otherwise it will be a self-goal. Its always better airing programs as ‘They Said’…than ‘I, Ram from Sakshi Says so…’. This is audience psychology 101.
This is the type of quality programs I expect Sakshi to make with confidence. They need to put the facts straight and promote it like hell 100 times, no mincing words, just plain hitting
very good idea..but Swaminathan will talk abt crony capitalism and beneficiaries of YSR policies too:) Infact, what kept AP growth story intact during YSR’s regime was inclusiveness of many sections of people which were previously ignored. However an unbiased view of any economist will favour that of YSR’s than CBN’s. CBN’s policies distanced certain sections to favour few. In any case CBN’s Vision 2020 was blurred and required a doctor like YSR to cure it!
A program can be made with interviews of Economic Professors of say A AP University, B Delhi University and C US / Europe Universit. All it requires is to identify those people who share YSR’s views and make them speak in front of Camers… and a scrolling comes below highlighting ‘Dean of … Univ’..’ or a back ground voice comes highlighting that professor’s experiences and how prominent he/she is.

In Andhra Pradesh, as the post-result mudslinging following the MLC elections continues to playout in interviews and other media, we get to see the many ugly sides that rear themselves in the ongoing tussle to best YSJ. Stripped of all options Congress is now resorting to other cards in its playbook, which we are learning is equipped with quite a few creative gimmicks to needle, impede and stall competition. Apparently the prospect of suppressing Jagan’s rise is more enticing than a united or successful Congress.
Scrambling at straws, Congress has resorted to unleashing a series of Income Tax raids on Jagan’s various businesses and enterprises. A subject of great absorption for Jagan’s detractors is his ‘ill-gotten’ wealth. The picture people would like to paint of Jagan is that he was born into poverty and so was his father and they suddenly amassed vast sums of money that becomes available to one merely because one’s father was a Chief Minister. Obviously that isn’t true. Given how utterly public Jagan’s life is, there is no secret to the fact that his grandfather made his wealth through his savvy investments in mining. As long as three decades ago, Raja Reddy, YSR’s father was a highly successful entrepreneur dabbling in mining activities, shipping, agriculture and real estate.
During the same time, India’s own impressive growth has transformed the poor into the middle class, the middle class into the upper middle class and therefore wealthy category and catapulted the wealthy into the mega wealthy club. Jagan’s admittance into that club was a natural progression led by an intelligent grandfather, a successful father who in his capacity as Chief Minister would most certainly have guided his son toward successful investments. What would people have rather preferred happened? That YSR forsook his family while he took care of the affairs of state? If Jagan’s wealth is to be questioned, so should that of all of the middle classes who find themselves with more cash in their pockets now than their parents and grandparents ever did. Let people make COLA (cost of living adjustments) to their assertions or else their fabrications could be termed as libel.
Against the backdrop of the MLC wins notched up by YSR Congress Party albeit the argument that the wins hold a slim majority, one has to only view the victory against the backdrop of the massive opposition mounted on him to deliver a blow to his aspirations by the combined forces of ‘historic’ political entities like Congress and the TDP. Hard fought as the battle was, YSR Congress Party’s success was that much sweeter because of the tactics employed by both the Congress and TDP. Jagan and his followers need to be doubly aware of the ploys that can be employed against him and anything can happen as desperate times call for desperate measures.
