Clarification on the Election Expenses
The recent Ceiling limits prescribed in February 2011 are Rs 40 lakhs for parliamentary constituency and Rs 16 lakhs for assembly constituency for Andhra Pradesh. This cieling is applicable only for candidate and his agent. For others like friends / relatives these are not clubbed in the expenditure limit of the candidate in view of Explanation 1 to Section 77(1) of the Representation of Peoples Act 1951.
Hence there is no worry on that front as long as the person who is spending money is clear on his source. Therefore anyone can spend money on behalf of Jagan and YSR Congress Party. In fact this loophole is the reason why all candidates escape with the ceiling limitation.
So no need to worry. Go ahead and spend if you have legally accounted money.

Send pamplets with Symbols to the poling Booth level committee memebers, we should ask them to campaign at each door, then symbol will be reached will reach within a day and symbol will be pasted on each door

trying to make the symbol is not the only thing we have to do.
we have to first pepare the list of symbols that are going to appear on ballot paper, then identifying the potential symbols that seems similar/makes confusion with our symbol and then we have to educate old persons,women and illiterate about the possible mistakes.
it may be difficlt to practice but not impossible if there is commitment and will

And also Tie up with Local Cable operators and display symbol in one corner. Might not cost much also.
To make symbol more popular:
We have TVs everywhere and symbol can be recognized immediately
by educated.
We need to target uneducated people.
We need to put very huge party symbol in every village center and in SC/ST Colonies so that every villager will see the symbol every day.
We need to send volunteers to explain about new symbol to Colonies where illiterate people live.
We also need to put Huge Party symbol on the ways to every polling booth
Minister Sankar Rao told media in VZM that he had filed case in High Court as per the direction of Sonia.
I really can’t digest how this Italian lady stooped down to such low level

We can do pamphlets, with some good writeup on one side and the symbol on the other side. We can print about 2 millions of them with not to much money on behalf of NRIs and distribute them. I will find out if it comes under election expense from legal experts. But, we have a danger here as the government/EC/judiciary is theirs. They can do whatever they want. Let’s all think through this.
Even if it comes under election expense, is there a limit for election expenditure? Also it should not cost much, <50 lakh which is fine.
I am thinking it as less than 5 lakhs.

The expense is indeed counted under the candidate’s account no matter who actually spent. Otherwise every candidate could say some wellwisher did this job without his notice.
My BIGGEST WORRY hinges upon the unlikely case of getting alloted different symbol for MLA and MP seats.
Just verified with a printing press..it costs 19 paisa per each regular phamplet and 28 paisa for A4 size..u r right. shud not be more than 5 lakh
