My men there spoke to lot of people and all are supporting Jagan
except Yellow traditional supporters.
There is no impact of CBI inquiry and smear campaign by yellow media.

Stop talking abt jagan’s interview. It looks like pre planned interview and not just happened like that. This looks to be a strategy to be safe at the moment and to save his followers from the cases imposed by congress as part of witch hunting and also to run the party smoothly till 2014 elections. Looks to be a its mutual understanding between jagan n congress. Congress has realised with the latest intelligence surveys that they r going to loose in andhra and jagan will form the government n get more number of MP seats. So congress doesnt want jagan to support BJP since our MP seats will be crucial to form the government at the center. So Congress might have proposed that they will stop witch hunting and u support us in the center. So congress has decided that they will loose state but they want to be at the center. So they need jagan’s support for that. So it may be clear cut strategy n understanding between both the parties. Think once, we want jagan to be CM in 2014 and not someone else. If u see the way congress playing dirty politics and the way they r managing CBI n justice, they may goto any level. They can also goto the extent that jagan may not be in public by 2014. If that happens what is the use in winning the elections and who will become CM and who will run the show and who will run the party to 2014 elections. We need to see the future also.

It is true that Jagan has become a mass hero becoz he bravely fought against Sonia and Cong. Did he stop fighting Cong or Sonia? Why dont you understand that we are only a regional party and have to fight only in the state? We cannot model our party as DMK/AIDMK. Those parties never had a problem with Sonia. We are more like NCP. Sharad Pawar had differences with Sonia and came out of Cong. But he is still supporting UPA. I dont think people found fault with that..

Jagan clearly mentioned that if God blesses us with good numbers then keeping the state interests in mind, …..we will support Sharad Pawar, Mamata Benarjee or even congress. Perhas the mistake he did is he should not be so explicit in giving his stand post-2014 elections. A person like Chandrababu never tells his stand in advance. A true politician should avoid certain questions.Jagan should learn this.
Brother, all I am saying is that, YSRCP situation regarding Sonia Gandhi/Congress is like classic Catch-22 situation. We have to fight with Sonia Gandhi at state level for MLA seats and MP seats.At the same time, we might even have to support Sonia Gandhi after winning the MP seats, thats the paradox here.
Winning MLA seats will be easy compared to MP seats, because the agenda for MLA seats is clear: make Jagan as CM to implement YSR schemes and teach Sonia Gandhi a lesson. But the agenda for MP seats gets tough, people will ask YSRCP MP candidates, are you going to support Sonia Gandhi at center?? If YSRCP reveals its strategy for national politics or not, either way, YSRCP will be in trouble. If we say, we support UPA (indirectly it means supporting Sonia/Rahul), people (common public) will think Jagan has compromised with Sonia/Rahul. If we say, we dont support UPA, people will think he might support BJP led NDA (no one will buy third front/fourth front stuff). All I am saying is its like Telangana situation, why Jagan has to reveal his cards, whatever he says, either way, he will be in trouble.
Best solution for YSRCP, talk less about pre-poll and post-poll scenarios of 2014. Stick to the line that we will support any secular govt. to protect the interests of our state. When posed with tough questions, answer like “its premature to comment about 2014 and politics are always dynamic”. There is no point for Jagan to talk about BJP anymore, he has already said enough regarding BJP , that is enough till 2014 elections. But Jagan should be never seen like compromising with Sonia Gandhi in the eyes of public, that will be suicidal. For us BJP factor is a non-issue as far as state politics is concerned but Sonia Gandhi/Italian congress factor is the key issue for our YSRCP politics.

Overconfidence of BJP cadre due to “India shining” campaign that BJP will win by default, made BJP bite the dust in 2004 elections. Having Love for Jagan is appreciated, but overconfidence in cadre that masses will vote Jagan by default will be disastrous.

Already at ground level, all the Congress MLAs are doing propaganda that Jagan and YSRCP will be merging with Congress before 2014 elections itself. Whose statements gave rise to these kind of speculations, its Jagan’s statements only, nothing else. I don’t have videos with me but before this CNN-IBN interview, Jagan while talking to english media reporters like Uma Sudhir, indicated that he doesn’t mind supporting Sonia Gandhi.
On the other hand, Jagan should have done the opposite in the national media
**Talk neutral in english media about BJP, and talk clearly in telugu media about BJP. Because BJP has no presence in state but at national level, BJP still is the main opposition party.

If Jagan talks about UPA after 2014 results, thats a different thing, no problem with that. CNN-IBN interview by Jagan was clearly meant to send signals to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Jagan should attack and attack, Congress/Sonia Gandhi till 2014 elections. After 2014 elections, anything can happen depending on that day dynamic political situation. But that doesn’t mean, Jagan needs to attend National media interviews to crystal clearly clarify his pre-poll and post-poll alliances of 2014.
Masses might not mind what Jagan talks in english media but definitely the cadre who brings voter to the polling booths will be confused with these statements in english media. Cadre are not dumb, they know whats happenning in media.
When Jagan sends signals to voters before 2014 elections that if you voter for our MPs then we will protect the interests of the state by demanding our pound of flesh based on tamilnadu style of politics then only he will get maximum MP seats. If he sends signals that I will not align with NDA at center openly, what if there is an anti-UPA and pro-BJP wave before 2014 elections, the telugu voters will be confused to vote whether to YSRCP MP seats or not, because YSRCP will anyways not align with BJP.
The future of YSRCP depends on following tamilnadu model of DMK/AIDMK supporting any govt. at center for their state interests. If YSRCP deviates from this model, then YSRCP will get less MP seats because voters will be confused for not knowing what role YSRCP MPs will play at national level. In 2014 elections, UPA will be kicked out of power and definitely BJP-led coalition will be the only viable alternative for Indian voters, may be Nitish Kumar as the NDA candidate for PM.
What the big fuss abt Jagan supporting UPA? Are there hundreds of options in the Centre? He has 3 choices. UPA, NDA or Third Front. Jagan has to make a choice. In the state, BJP as a party remotely exists. If Jagan supports BJP, then he has to revive the party in the state. And moreover, minority support is a key aspect which Jagan is banking upon and there will be a dent in that. Jagan will look like a BJP agent and his resignation to Cong will look like a handiwork of BJP. All this fight for self-pride will go to gutter. You may ask the same question if Jagan supports UPA. The very reason Jagan came out of Cong is becoz of the ill-treatment of Sonia, so why support Sonia now? Heck, who is supporting Sonia? We are fighting against Cong to death in the state as we are only a regional party limited to the state. But since we do not have a choice in the Centre and we have to protect our state interests, we are supporting UPA not by will but for lack of choice. As for third front, there is no such thing as people have lost faith in it.
Indeed. If Jagan were entrusted with numbers, then UPA or whoever comes calling (or rather begging). It’s not otherway round that Jagan would be begging minister posts (unlike the other film hero) for the support.
But I agree, what Jagan did in the interview does not bode well in the public. He should only have stated that he is single member as of now and could hardly make any difference and that hopes on the public come next election. He has got to be cryptic instead of plain YES/NO.

I think we are all jumping into conclusions too soon. There are other ppl who can rule this country. If all of us agree or not jagan started this party to teach YS detractors a lesson irrespective of their affiliation. YSR loved congress party till his last breath. It is congress’s misfortune that it lost a great leader.

Nawaz, I really appreciate your inclination towards BJP. I too have no objections in supporting BJP. But the ground reality is, majaority of the minority community, who has lot of faith on YSR famiy, still oppose BJP. Jagan can’t go against their wish at any cost.
Nawaz garu: Jagan affiliation with BJP is not on votes issue or minority appeasing agenda. BJP strategically approved Telangana state, BJP has close ties with Reliance and business community where our state lost major share of natural resources and in turn entire country going through a mass campaign that BJP is untouchable even though it is not. I was disappointed to see Nawaz, a hardcore loyalist say that he won’t vote for Jagan in 2014 if this continues. Now, I saw this video of Konda Surekha trying to clarify. Really I could see her in defense and she seemed to find it hard to defend.

We can bargain more for our state interest with National Parties rather than third or fourth front with bunch of regional parties. In the 3rd or 4th fronts every one has equal bargaining rights. It is going to be like united front govt with one PM for every 1 year.

@Nawaz – If NDA will give 4% reservatons to muslims then we can say why dont Jagan support to BJP also. Might be NDA is better compared to UPA for communical issues also. But YSR Congress ideology is to improve poor familities(either minorities or others) with reservations and re-imbursement schemes etc., Let BJP clear their stand on minorities in proper way. If BJP said, they dont want muslim reservation then how poor muslims has to develop. If they’re against reservations then they have to remore BCs, SCs and ST reservation also.

My men there spoke to lot of people and all are supporting Jagan
except Yellow traditional supporters.

Stop talking abt jagan’s interview. It looks like pre planned interview and not just happened like that. This looks to be a strategy to be safe at the moment and to save his followers from the cases imposed by congress as part of witch hunting and also to run the party smoothly till 2014 elections. Looks to be a its mutual understanding between jagan n congress. Congress has realised with the latest intelligence surveys that they r going to loose in andhra and jagan will form the government n get more number of MP seats. So congress doesnt want jagan to support BJP since our MP seats will be crucial to form the government at the center. So Congress might have proposed that they will stop witch hunting and u support us in the center. So congress has decided that they will loose state but they want to be at the center. So they need jagan’s support for that. So it may be clear cut strategy n understanding between both the parties. Think once, we want jagan to be CM in 2014 and not someone else. If u see the way congress playing dirty politics and the way they r managing CBI n justice, they may goto any level. They can also goto the extent that jagan may not be in public by 2014. If that happens what is the use in winning the elections and who will become CM and who will run the show and who will run the party to 2014 elections. We need to see the future also.

It is true that Jagan has become a mass hero becoz he bravely fought against Sonia and Cong. Did he stop fighting Cong or Sonia? Why dont you understand that we are only a regional party and have to fight only in the state? We cannot model our party as DMK/AIDMK. Those parties never had a problem with Sonia. We are more like NCP. Sharad Pawar had differences with Sonia and came out of Cong. But he is still supporting UPA. I dont think people found fault with that..

Jagan clearly mentioned that if God blesses us with good numbers then keeping the state interests in mind, …..we will support Sharad Pawar, Mamata Benarjee or even congress. Perhas the mistake he did is he should not be so explicit in giving his stand post-2014 elections. A person like Chandrababu never tells his stand in advance. A true politician should avoid certain questions.Jagan should learn this.

Brother, all I am saying is that, YSRCP situation regarding Sonia Gandhi/Congress is like classic Catch-22 situation. We have to fight with Sonia Gandhi at state level for MLA seats and MP seats.At the same time, we might even have to support Sonia Gandhi after winning the MP seats, thats the paradox here.
Winning MLA seats will be easy compared to MP seats, because the agenda for MLA seats is clear: make Jagan as CM to implement YSR schemes and teach Sonia Gandhi a lesson. But the agenda for MP seats gets tough, people will ask YSRCP MP candidates, are you going to support Sonia Gandhi at center?? If YSRCP reveals its strategy for national politics or not, either way, YSRCP will be in trouble. If we say, we support UPA (indirectly it means supporting Sonia/Rahul), people (common public) will think Jagan has compromised with Sonia/Rahul. If we say, we dont support UPA, people will think he might support BJP led NDA (no one will buy third front/fourth front stuff). All I am saying is its like Telangana situation, why Jagan has to reveal his cards, whatever he says, either way, he will be in trouble.
Best solution for YSRCP, talk less about pre-poll and post-poll scenarios of 2014. Stick to the line that we will support any secular govt. to protect the interests of our state. When posed with tough questions, answer like “its premature to comment about 2014 and politics are always dynamic”. There is no point for Jagan to talk about BJP anymore, he has already said enough regarding BJP , that is enough till 2014 elections. But Jagan should be never seen like compromising with Sonia Gandhi in the eyes of public, that will be suicidal. For us BJP factor is a non-issue as far as state politics is concerned but Sonia Gandhi/Italian congress factor is the key issue for our YSRCP politics.
If Jagan is seen as compromising with Sonia Gandhi in the eyes of public, its like killing YSRCP before 2014 itself. If Jagan is seen as opposed to BJP in the eyes of minorities, YSRCP will easily win seats in muslim-dominated areas. But from now, YSRCP should stop projecting pre-poll or post-poll scenarios for 2014. I don’t know why many of my fellow bloggers are not getting this basic point that this is not the time for pre-poll or post-poll speculations.
I wanna ask everyone, what did YSRCP gain out of this CNN-IBN interview by Jagan?? I see absolutely no benefits, in fact there is no need for this interview, its not even election time. Media runs this interview for few days, and they will stop covering. And this is not the time or the way to project ourselves in national media. Our english media advertisements should start actively one year before 2014 elections.

Overconfidence of BJP cadre due to “India shining” campaign that BJP will win by default, made BJP bite the dust in 2004 elections. Having Love for Jagan is appreciated, but overconfidence in cadre that masses will vote Jagan by default will be disastrous.
If many of us think that Jagan has very few options at National level other than supporting UPA, then whats the point of triggering a battle with Sonia Gandhi in the first place.

Already at ground level, all the Congress MLAs are doing propaganda that Jagan and YSRCP will be merging with Congress before 2014 elections itself. Whose statements gave rise to these kind of speculations, its Jagan’s statements only, nothing else. I don’t have videos with me but before this CNN-IBN interview, Jagan while talking to english media reporters like Uma Sudhir, indicated that he doesn’t mind supporting Sonia Gandhi.
On the other hand, Jagan should have done the opposite in the national media
**Talk neutral in english media about BJP, and talk clearly in telugu media about BJP. Because BJP has no presence in state but at national level, BJP still is the main opposition party.
**Talk about secular parties in english media rather than mentioning Congress/UPA/Sonia Gandhi. Talk like, we will engage with all secular parties. If Jagan talks about UPA after 2014 results, thats a different thing, no problem with that. CNN-IBN interview by Jagan was clearly meant to send signals to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Jagan should attack and attack, Congress/Sonia Gandhi till 2014 elections. After 2014 elections, anything can happen depending on that day dynamic political situation. But that doesn’t mean, Jagan needs to attend National media interviews to crystal clearly clarify his pre-poll and post-poll alliances of 2014.
Masses might not mind what Jagan talks in english media but definitely the cadre who brings voter to the polling booths will be confused with these statements in english media. Cadre are not dumb, they know whats happenning in media.
When Jagan sends signals to voters before 2014 elections that if you voter for our MPs then we will protect the interests of the state by demanding our pound of flesh based on tamilnadu style of politics then only he will get maximum MP seats. If he sends signals that I will not align with NDA at center openly, what if there is an anti-UPA and pro-BJP wave before 2014 elections, the telugu voters will be confused to vote whether to YSRCP MP seats or not, because YSRCP will anyways not align with BJP.
The future of YSRCP depends on following tamilnadu model of DMK/AIDMK supporting any govt. at center for their state interests. If YSRCP deviates from this model, then YSRCP will get less MP seats because voters will be confused for not knowing what role YSRCP MPs will play at national level. In 2014 elections, UPA will be kicked out of power and definitely BJP-led coalition will be the only viable alternative for Indian voters, may be Nitish Kumar as the NDA candidate for PM.
What the big fuss abt Jagan supporting UPA? Are there hundreds of options in the Centre? He has 3 choices. UPA, NDA or Third Front. Jagan has to make a choice. In the state, BJP as a party remotely exists. If Jagan supports BJP, then he has to revive the party in the state. And moreover, minority support is a key aspect which Jagan is banking upon and there will be a dent in that. Jagan will look like a BJP agent and his resignation to Cong will look like a handiwork of BJP. All this fight for self-pride will go to gutter. You may ask the same question if Jagan supports UPA. The very reason Jagan came out of Cong is becoz of the ill-treatment of Sonia, so why support Sonia now? Heck, who is supporting Sonia? We are fighting against Cong to death in the state as we are only a regional party limited to the state. But since we do not have a choice in the Centre and we have to protect our state interests, we are supporting UPA not by will but for lack of choice. As for third front, there is no such thing as people have lost faith in it.

But I agree, what Jagan did in the interview does not bode well in the public. He should only have stated that he is single member as of now and could hardly make any difference and that hopes on the public come next election. He has got to be cryptic instead of plain YES/NO.

I think we are all jumping into conclusions too soon. There are other ppl who can rule this country. If all of us agree or not jagan started this party to teach YS detractors a lesson irrespective of their affiliation. YSR loved congress party till his last breath. Nawaz, I really appreciate your inclination towards BJP. I too have no objections in supporting BJP. But the ground reality is, majaority of the minority community, who has lot of faith on YSR famiy, still oppose BJP. Jagan can’t go against their wish at any cost.

BJP strategically approved Telangana state, BJP has close ties with Reliance and business community where our state lost major share of natural resources and in turn entire country going through a mass campaign that BJP is untouchable even though it is not. It looks Jagan’s statements about joining with Sonia or UPA for the benefit of the state are causing problems. I was disappointed to see Nawaz, a hardcore loyalist say that he won’t vote for Jagan in 2014 if this continues. Now, I saw this video of Konda Surekha trying to clarify. Really I could see her in defense and she seemed to find it hard to defend.

We can’t take personal revenge at the cost of country welfare. In my opinion, Jagan’s statement is 100% correct in the current political scenarion. I’m also against Congress cheap politics and the way they are treating our YSR family now.

Yes Madhu. What you said is exactly correct. Yellow Media is trying to ask the questions and try to get the answers what they’re expecting. But YS Jagan is very clear for his stand even last by-elections also same. Yellow media is doing worst propaganda.
@Nawaz – If NDA will give 4% reservatons to muslims then we can say why dont Jagan support to BJP also. Might be NDA is better compared to UPA for communical issues also. But YSR Congress ideology is to improve poor familities(either minorities or others) with reservations and re-imbursement schemes etc., Let BJP clear their stand on minorities in proper way. If BJP said, they dont want muslim reservation then how poor muslims has to develop. If they’re against reservations then they have to remore BCs, SCs and ST reservation also.

answer: congress is our main opposition at state politics.

Jagan should be careful in answering the national media questions, he need not be too specific in details in his answers. If Jagan sends the signals directly to the masses that he is willing to support sonia gandhi led UPA in 2014 then YSRCP will have a poor show in 2014.
Never use these slogans “we support congress”, “we support congress-led UPA’, “we support Sonia Gandhi”, these slogans are a big NO–NO for YSRCP.
I am also a YSR/YSJ follower but that doesn’t mean I should overlook the blunders done by YSRCP.
Varun Gandhi asked “Why both Government and BJP” are silent on the KG basin issue. Ofcourse Government is silent because CAG has mentioned the central minister Murali Deo played a part in the irregularities. BJP because Reliance is sending the gas to Gujarat where the Gujarat stategovernment will be benefited. They have their own interests. No boday will make noise now.
