By-elections: Congress leaders in dilemma
Congress leaders in the State appear divided in their opinion on whether the party should face the by-elections to all the Assembly seats that would be notified in due course or just to the seven vacancies that already exist.
There is considerable debate going on in the party circle on the possible outcome of the by-polls. There are six vacancies in Telangana and one in Nellore district but the number will go up to 24 if the Speaker disqualifies the 16 rebel Congress MLAs and lone PR MLA for defying party whip during the no confidence motion .
Some ruling party leaders are projecting a bleak picture of the Congress’ performance in the six seats in Telangana owing to strong statehood sentiment and do not want a similar outcome in the Seemandhra region. I’m also waiting for the final verdict. The bench of judges has shown so much urgency to grant abeyance but pronounce final verdict. I don’t even understand why any newspaper has detailed the likely date.

Actually, Sakshi should not have increased price without any prior notice. It could have set the date, say 01-01-2012, for the new prices to kick in. Nonetheless, Rs3.00 brings it to the same as rest of all the newspapers.
and also one needs to take into account the inflated $ price. with that printing material ie color dyes, paper and other things go up. we need to account those as well.
