    హైదరాబాద్, న్యూస్‌లైన్: ‘సాక్షి’ మీడియాపై వరుసగా చోటుచేసుకుంటున్న చర్యలు ముమ్మాటికీ పత్రికా స్వేచ్ఛపై జరుగుతున్న దాడేనని ఇండియన్ జర్నలిస్టు యూనియన్ నేతలు కె.శ్రీనివాస్‌రెడ్డి, దేవులపల్లి అమర్ పునరుద్ఘాటించారు. జర్నలిస్టు సంఘం నేతలుగా సాక్షికి తమ వంతు మద్దతునిస్తే… తమపై ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి అధినేత రాధాకృష్ణ బురదచల్లడం మంచి పద్ధతి కాదని హితవు పలికారు.

    శనివారం వారు బషీర్‌బాగ్ ప్రెస్‌క్లబ్‌లో విలేకరులతో మాట్లాడారు. బాధ్యత గల మీడియా సంస్థను నడుపుతున్న రాధాకృష్ణ కూడా రాజకీయ పార్టీ నేతల మాదిరిగా జర్నలిస్టు సంఘాలపై వ్యక్తిగత దూషణలు చేయడం అర్థరహితమన్నారు. సాక్షికి మద్దతునిస్తే యూనియన్ నేతలు అమ్ముడుపోయారని చెప్పడం సరికాదని హితవు పలికారు. ‘‘ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి మూతపడ్డాక పునఃప్రారంభమైతే కొంత మందికి ఉపాధి కలుగుతుందనే ఉద్దేశంతో అప్పట్లో ఆ సంస్థపై ఉన్న కేసును మేం ఉపసంహరించుకున్నాం. అర్ధరాత్రి నువ్వొచ్చి మా సంతకం పెట్టించుకొని వెళ్లిన సంగతిని మరిచావా? ఒక మంచి పని కోసం మేం చేసిన ప్రయత్నాన్ని అప్పట్లో కొందరు తప్పుపట్టారు. రాధాకృష్ణ, ఐ.వెంకట్రావులకు అమ్ముడుపోయారని మాపై ఆరోపణలు చేశారు.

    కరపత్రాలు కూడా పంచారు. కానీ అందులో వాస్తవం లేదని రాధాకృష్ణా.. నీ అంతరాత్మకు తెలుసు. ప్రస్తుతం అలాంటి ఆరోపణలనే, పేక మేడలాంటి విమర్శలను ఇప్పుడు మీరూ చేస్తున్నారు’’ అని శ్రీనివాస్‌రెడ్డి అన్నారు. మీడియాపై దాడికి నిరసనగా జరిగిన ర్యాలీలో వైఎస్ ఫోటో, సోనియా, కిరణ్, చంద్రబాబు, సీబీఐ జేడీలతో కూడిన ఫ్లెక్సీ ప్రదర్శనతో తమకు సంబంధం లేదని చెప్పారు. వారిని నిందించడం మా భావం, ఆలోచన కాదని స్పష్టం చేశారు. ప్రజాస్వామిక సమాజంలో ఇలాంటి ఘటనలు జరుగుతుంటాయన్నారు. సాక్షికి మద్దతు ఇవ్వడం ద్వారా యూనియన్‌లో చీలికలు వచ్చాయని పూర్తి అవాస్తవాలు ప్రచురించారని చె ప్పారు. ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తున్న కుట్రలకు నిరసనగా అన్ని జిల్లాల్లో నిరసనలు, ధర్నాలు జరిగిన మాట వాస్తవం కాదా? అని నిలదీశారు. ద్వేషంతో మాపై వ్యక్తిగత ఆరోపణల దాకా వెళ్లడం మంచి పద్ధతి కాదన్నారు.

    మార్గదర్శి అవకతవకలు మీడియా స్వేచ్ఛ
    ఎలా అవుతుంది?

    మార్గదర్శిలో జరిగిన అవకతవకలను ‘ఈనాడు’కు ఆపాదించి అది పత్రికా స్వేచ్ఛ అంటే ఎలా నమ్మదగినదని అమర్, శ్రీనివాస్‌రెడ్డిలు ప్రశ్నించారు. ఈ విషయాన్ని సుప్రీంకోర్టు కూడా ఏకీభవించలేదన్నారు. సుప్రీంకోర్టు చేసిన వ్యాఖ్యలను ఈ సందర్భంగా వారు చదివారు. ‘‘రామోజీ వేసిన పిటిషన్‌లో జర్నలిస్టు నేతలు ఎన్.రాము, కులదీప్ నయ్యర్ ఇంప్లీడ్ అయ్యారు. అప్పుడు కోర్టు రామోజీతోపాటు ఇంప్లీడ్ అయిన వారి న్యాయవాదులకు స్పష్టంగా ఒక విషయాన్ని చెప్పింది. మీ క్లయింట్‌కు రెండు బిజినెస్‌లు ఉన్నాయి.

    ఒకటి వ్యాపారవేత ్తకాగా, మరొకటి ఓ పత్రికాధిపతి. ఈ కేసు వ్యాపారానికి సంబంధించినది కాబట్టి పత్రికా స్వేచ్ఛకు భంగంగా ఎందుకు చూడాలని ప్రశ్నించింది’’ అని తెలిపారు. ఇంత స్పష్టంగా ఉన్నప్పటికీ రాధాకృష్ణ పదే పదే ఈనాడుకు ఒక నీతి, సాక్షికి మరో నీతా అని ప్రశ్నించడం సబబు కాదని చెప్పారు. మార్గదర్శిని సాకుగా చూపి ఈనాడు పత్రికకు ప్రకటనలు ఆపలేదు కదా అని అన్నారు. ప్రస్తుత సీఎం కిరణ్‌కుమార్‌రెడ్డి మాదిరిగా వైఎస్ అర్ధరాత్రి చీకటి జీవోలు విడుదల చేయలేదని ఘాటుగా వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. సాక్షికి ప్రకటనలు నిలిపివేయడాన్ని అయినా రాధాకృష్ణ పత్రికాస్వేచ్ఛను హరించడంగా భావిస్తే మంచిదని హితవు పలికారు.

    రాజకీయ ప్రయోజనాలు లేని మీడియా ఏది?

    రాష్ట్రంలో ఉన్న మీడియా సంస్థలన్నీ ఎంతో కొంత రాజకీయ ప్రయోజనం ఆశించే నడుస్తున్నాయని అమర్, శ్రీనివాస్‌రెడ్డి పేర్కొన్నారు. అంతెందుకు ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి రాజకీయ ప్రయోజనాలు ఆశించడం లేదా? అని సూటిగా ప్రశ్నించారు. ‘‘రాధాకృష్ణ.. మీరు ఏ సిద్ధాంతం కోసం పనిచేస్తున్నారు? మీరు రాసే రాతలు కొన్ని రాజకీయ పార్టీలకు ప్రయోజనం చేకూరడం లేదా?’’ అని నిలదీశారు. మీ మాదిరిగా మేం ఎత్తిపొడుపు మాటలు, వ్యక్తిగత దూషణలకు వెళ్లదలచుకోలేదన్నారు. అలాగే పాఠకులను నిందించడం తగదని రాధాకృష్ణకు సూచించారు. ‘‘బంగారం దొంగిలించిన వారే కాదు, దాన్ని కొన్న వారు నేరస్తులే అని చెప్పడమంటే… సాక్షి పాఠకులు కూడా నేరస్తుల కింద ముద్రిస్తారా? ఇంతకన్నా దౌర్భాగ్యం మరొకటి ఉండదు. కోర్టు తీర్పు రాకముందే మీకు మీరుగా తీర్పునివ్వడం.. పాఠకులను కూడా నిందించడం మంచి పద్ధతి కాదు’’ అని అన్నారు.

    చంద్రబాబు, రాఘవులు, కిషన్‌లనూ కలిశాం

    జర్నలిస్టు నేతలు వైఎస్ జగన్‌మోహన్‌రెడ్డిని ఒక్కరినే కలిశారని రాధాకృష్ణ తప్పుడు ఆరోపణలు చే స్తున్నారని అమర్, శ్రీనివాస్‌రెడ్డి చెప్పారు. ‘‘జర్నలిస్టులుగా, యూనియన్ నాయకులుగా మేము జగన్నే కాదు అన్ని రాజకీయ పార్టీలకు చెందిన నేతలను కలుస్తుంటాం. అంతెందుకు రైతుల కోసం న్యూ ఎమ్మెల్యే క్వార్టర్స్‌లో చంద్రబాబు చేపట్టిన దీక్షకు వెళ్లి ఆయన్ని కలిశాం. తెలంగాణ కోసం టి.కాంగ్రెస్ ఎంపీలు చేపట్టిన దీక్షకు వెళ్లాం. రాఘవులు, కిషన్‌రెడ్డి చేపట్టిన నిరాహార దీక్షలకు హాజరయ్యాం. కేసీఆర్‌ను నిమ్స్‌కు వెళ్లి పరామర్శించాం. మందకృష్ణ వారి డిమాండ్ల కోసం సికింద్రాబాద్‌లోని కార్యాలయం వద్ద పెట్రోల్ డబ్బా పట్టుకొని ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకుంటానంటే పువ్వాడ నాగేశ్వరరావుతో కలిసి వెళ్లాం’’ అని పేర్కొన్నారు.

        Investigating Agencies are acting under pressure from Delhi Bosses.
        We can expect what will happen if they are following legal procedure.
        But they are acting differently.

        Both Cong and TDP decided to decimate Jagan either by hook or crook.
        In this backdrop we cannot anticipate what will happen.
        But See our leader and get inspiration from him”Never give up and fight till the last breathe”

        I really admire Jagan for his fighting against the big people under extreme adverse conditions.
        He is cornered and surrounded by all evil forces and still this dynamic young man is not showing his back.

        I think he is getting enormous energy from the people in his tours and that is only solace for us now.

        Jagan is doing big war against Cong,TDP and Yellow Media.
        Jagan is a warrior and none can stop him in his endeavors.
        May be he may have to face some hurdles here and there and ultimately Jagan will have the last laugh.

    Vijayawada: It appears that the Congress is banking on its Rajya Sabha member, K Chiranjeevi, to bring the Kapu votes in the by-elections in the 17 Assembly and one Lok Sabha seats in the Seemandhra region. Though not all the Kapu leaders have gone with the film star when he launched his new political outfit – Praja Rajyam Party – in August 2008, the Congress believes that the star would now bring whatever vote bank has been left with him for the Congress. It was a fact that the Kapu community, the third strongest political group, after Kamma and Reddy communities in the State, owned up the Praja Rajyam Party in the 2009 elections. Several of the leaders from the community have walked into the new outfit after its launch. However, their dream was short-lived as Chiranjeevi merged the party with the Congress. While a few like Mudragada Padmanabham, Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah, walked out of it, others like Kothapalli Subba Rayudu and Buragadda Vedavyas, followed Chiranjeevi into the Congress.
    Now, with toughest byelections taking place in the State, the Congress believes that Chiranjeevi would be able to bring his vote bank 2009 when contested on the PRP ticket. Even his mentor, Harirama Jogaiah, could not help him win the battle. This time the Congress believes that the megastar would help him win the seat with the Kapu vote bank.
    It is to be noted that the Kapus are disappointed with the failure of Chiranjeevi to give them a party on par with the Reddys and Kammas.
    Interestingly, the Kapus in Krishna and Godavari districts are locked in a tough battle against Kammas of Telugu Desam, and the Kapu activists down the line feel insulted with their shortlived political party. Though
    they were with the Congress before the emergence of the
    PRP, they appear to be unwilling to return to the Congress.
    The feeling at the grassroots among the Kapus is that they were comfortable with the Congress until the PRP came into existence
    and have walked out of the Congress owning up the PRP as” their party”.
    Now, coming back to the Congress puts them in uncomfortable position, besides a failure to demonstrate their community’s strength in the political graph. In this backdrop it is to be seen how far Chiranjeevi
    would be able to handle this disturbed and disappointed Kapu community

    IAS officials, ministers must be named

    Jagan Mohan Reddy was not a public servant until his election to Parliament. During the period of the alleged offences, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy was not a public servant, therefore, accusations leveled against Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy under Section 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act does not hold good. The public interest litigation or writ petition filed by Shankar Rao seeks investigation on Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy and the companies which benefitted from sanctions, like allotment or licences from the state government during the tenure of the then chief minister, late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.

    The High Court directed the Central Bureau of Investigation to investigate the alleged illegalities set out by the writ petitioner in his petition. Pursuant to the directions of the High Court, the CBI, after investigations, filed chargesheets in the criminal court against Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy and some others. The main charge against him is that of criminal conspiracy under the Indian Penal Code for procuring orders in favour of certain companies or corporate houses.

    It is to be noted here that all GOs are issued on behalf of the government by the concerned secre-taries, mostly IAS officers, and Cabinet ministers of the state government. All IAS officers and Cabinet ministers are responsible for issuing the GOs under the business rules framed under the Constitution. Issuing of such orders or sanctions are within the exclusive powers of the functionaries of the state government, that is, the IAS officers, Cabinet ministers and most importantly, it is the responsibility of the Chief Minister, in this case Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.

    Till date, the government has not made any attempt to cancel the said GOs and sanctions of the alleged favours made to the companies and industrial houses. No inquiry has been conducted. Further, the names of the concerned officers or ministers are not included in the chargesheet along with Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy.

    When two or more persons agree to do an illegal act, it is called a criminal conspiracy. The chargesheet filed by CBI is silent about the alleged criminal conspiracy or association of the persons who were involved in issuing of GOs or sanctions. Therefore, fixing the responsibility of criminal conspiracy on Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy alone for favo-uring the companies, industrial houses or some individuals is not justified.

    In reply to the description of criminal conspiracy, the civil servants or Cabinet ministers are not likely to confess before the court that it was at the instance of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy that they approved allotment of SEZs or other benefits in favour of the companies in question, so that they in turn would invest in Jagan’s group of companies to bring him financial benefit.

    Without the involvement of the concerned officials, allotting SEZs or licences would not have been possible. Therefore, without naming them as accused in the chargesheet, it is not possible to accuse Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy of criminal conspiracy.

    జగతి పబ్లికేషన్స్ , జనని ఇన్ ఫ్రా సంస్థల బ్యాంకు ఖాతాలను స్తంబింప చేస్తూ సిబిఐ తీసుకున్న నిర్ణయాన్ని వ్యతిరేకిస్తూ, వెంటనే ఖాతాలను పునరుద్దరించాలన్న సాక్షి డిమాండ్ ను సిబిఐ కోర్టు తిరస్కరించింది.దీంతో సాక్షి మీడియా ఇప్పుడు హైకోర్టును ఆశ్రయించాల్సిన పరిస్తితి ఏర్పడింది.సాధారణంగా సిబిఐ కోర్టులో సిబిఐ వాదనకు వ్యతిరేకంగా కోర్టు తొలి దశలో ఆదేశాలు ఇచ్చే పరిస్థితి కనబడదు.ఉదాహరణకు విజయసాయి రెడ్డి కేసులో అనేకమార్లు బెయిల్ పిటిషన్ తిరస్కరించిన తర్వాతకాని బెయిల్ ఇవ్వలేదు. అలాగే గాలి జనార్దనరెడ్డి ఏడు సార్లు బెయిల్ పిటిషన్ పెట్టుకున్న తర్వాతకాని బెయిల్ లభించలేదు.కేసు విచారణ దశలో ఉన్నందున సాక్షి మీడియాకు రిలీఫ్ ఇవ్వలేమని కోర్టు అబిప్రాయపడింది.అయితే సాక్షి వేరే ఖాతాను నిర్వహించుకుంటే అభ్యంతరం లేదని సిబిఐ వాదించడంతో కూడా సిబిఐ కోర్టు సాక్షి మీడియా పిటిషన్ ను తిరస్కరించింది.

      one more suggestion after by election stop showing jagan in first page for 2-3 months i think now he has
      got enough image and highliggting problems in first page.

      If we survive in this hour i am sure we can make strong argument in court.

    YSRC ups ante after Joginder Singh’s revelation on CBI
    Hyderabad, May 13 : In wake of former CBI director, Joginder Singh revealing in an interview that CBI functions at the behest of the Union Home Ministry and its approach varies from case to case, YSRC has upped its ante against the selective victimisation of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by the concerted efforts of Congress, TDP, and a section of media.
    “It is very clear and is in the open that CBI functions as per the directives of the Central Government and there is no pattern to its approach as it differs from case to case, the conspiracy of TDP joining hands with Congress and using CBI as a tool to settle political scores is obvious,” YSRC Party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on Sunday.
    TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu secretly meeting with union home minister P Chidambaram and his party having a former CBI director in its ranks has opened up the entire gamut of conspiracy and the reason for the witch hunt, putting YSR family members through all the hardships, she said.
    On one hand a former Director of CBI openly tells that the agency functions as per the dictates of the Centre and on the other TDP has with it another former CBI director who has been helping in scripting the conspiracy against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, she said.
    The way in which P Shankar Rao filed a letter which was taken into cognizance and TDP impleaded in the case, the style of CBI functioning troubling YS Jagan Mohan Reddy without even questioning the persons involved in the issuance of 26 GOs clearly shows that TDP and Congress are hand in hand and using CBI as a tool to harm YS Jagan Mohan Reddy politically and economically. The freezing of bank accounts and stalling of advertisements to Sakshi media group are part of the script, she said.
    The main intention of the ruling and opposition parties coming together is with the singular motive that there should only be two parties and a third force or an alternative should not grow in the State.
    A section of media which is against our party has also joined the conspiracy bandwagon and has become the mouthpiece of the main conspirators. There have been selective leaks and leads in that media which published what has happened during an in-camera investigation and the CBI never questioned the source nor issued a rejoinder.
    This clearly shows that a section of media too has been roped in as a cog in to the larger conspiracy to launch an all out attack on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, his family and political party, she said.
    YSR Congress challenges TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, who is in all praise for CBI, to volunteer for an inquiry and come clean of the charges of his illegal assets, she said.
    “Chandrababu Naidu has been praising CBI for it impartial and efficient style of investigation and if he has so profound a faith in the investigation agency, we demand that he volunteer for an inquiry on the various charges he is facing for his ill-gotten wealth,” she said.

    VIJAYAWADA: In what could amount to a tactical U-turn, Tollywood star Junior NTR has made an attempt to buy peace with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and cadres, driven by perhaps an anxiety over erosion in his fan base.

    Having kept mum for a few weeks after staunch aide and producer Vallabhaneni Vamsi met Jaganmohan Reddy to create a flutter within TDP circles, Junior NTR extended an olive branch to Chandrababu Naidu saying that it was his ‘bounden duty’ to support the party founded by his grandfather NT Rama Rao.

    According to sources, Junior NTR has been unnerved at how his fans, particularly in the Kamma-majority districts of Krishna and Guntur, have disowned him, going to the extent of removing flexis and banners from theatres screening his latest release ‘Dammu’.

    Although, the film appeared to have opened strongly, on April 27, Vamsi’s public hug with Jagan in the evening on the very same day changed equations among TDP cadre, putting the fans in a quandary. They waited for their hero to condemn Vamsi for hobnobbing with the rival camp, but there was not a word from Junior NTR.

    Soon, Junior NTR’s uncle and hero Nandamuri Balakrishna entered the picture and told fans to forget that Junior NTR was a member of the Nandamuri family since he was consorting with the likes of Vamsi and those working against TDP. Sources said Balaiah threatened Junior NTR against staking any claim to the NTR legacy if he wanted to sail with opponents of TDP.

    With Balaiah’s message coming loud and clear, fans started removing flexis, cut-outs and banners from theatres screening ‘Dammu’. A film that was being tipped to be a big hit in its first three days, suddenly started getting branded as a flop following an aggressive SMS campaign undertaken by TDP activists (read Kamma youth).

    Gudivada legislator Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani), another Junior NTR supporter, was the distributor for the film in the coastal districts.

    Sources said that collections further dipped after the release of the Pawan Kalyan-starrer ‘Gabbar Singh’. Realising that any weakening of his fan base among the Kammas could be foolish for his career, Junior NTR went for a tactical retreat. And, in an attempt to appease his fans, Junior NTR has even gone to the extent of saying that Vamsi, the producer of his ‘Adurs’, did not mean much to him. However, it remains to be seen whether Junior NTR’s about-turn is received well by the Kamma youth and the actor’s fans.

    ‘ఏది పత్రిక…ఏది స్వేచ్ఛ?’ అన్న శీర్షికన వేమూరి రాధాకృష్ణ గారు నిన్న ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి పత్రికలో ఒక సంతకంతో కూడిన ఎడిటోరియల్ రాసారు. అందులో కొన్ని పాయింట్లు నాకు బాగా నచ్చాయి. స్వకులానికి చెందిన పార్టీ, నాయకుడు అర్జెంటుగా అధికారం లోకి రావాలని మరో కమ్మ ఎడిటర్ ఇన్ చీఫ్ తో పాటు కలలుకంటున్నవాడిగా రా.కృ.కు ముద్ర వున్నది కాబట్టి ఆయన చిత్తశుద్ధిని శంకించే అవకాశం ఉంది కానీ…సో కాల్డ్ జర్నలిస్టు నేతలు శ్రీనివాస రెడ్డి, దేవులపల్లి అమర్ ల మీద నిర్భయంగా రాసే దమ్మున్న వ్యక్తి రా.కృ. వారిద్దరిని కొట్టిన కొట్టుడుకు ప్రెస్ క్లబ్బుల్లో మందు బాటిళ్ళు చాలా ఎగిరిపోయి ఉంటాయి.

    బ్రాహ్మణ జర్నలిస్టు: నీతి గురించి మాట్ల్డాలంటే కొంత అర్హత ఉండాలి. నీతి గురించి ఏ అర్హతతో రాధాకృష్ణ మాట్లాడుతున్నాడు? వాడి బొంద.
    సెక్యులర్ జర్నలిస్టు: ఇదొక కుల పోరాటం. వై.ఎస్.ఆర్. హయాం లో పడిన ఇబ్బందుల తాలూకు కసిని రా.కృ.ఇలా తీర్చుకుంటున్నాడు. కాకపోతే….ఈ ఇద్దరు యూనియన్ నేతలను ఎదకట్టడం అభినందించాల్సిన విషయం. మీడియాను భ్రష్టు పట్టిస్తున్న కమ్మ కుల నేతల గురించి కూడా ఆయన రాస్తారేమో చూద్దాం.

    ఉపాయం ఉంటే చాలు ఎంతటి అపాయాన్నయినా ఇట్టే దాటెయ్యవచ్చు.
    ఈ కిటుకు చంద్రబాబుకి తెలుసు. ఆయన పగవాడికి తెలియదు.
    అదే బాబుగారి అసలు అదృష్టం.
    అనగా అనగా నారాబాబు, జగన్‌బాబు అని ఇద్దరు శత్రువులు. ఒకడు తెలివిగలవాడు. రెండోవాడు అది కొంచెం తక్కువైనవాడు. ఇద్దరూ ఒకరిమీద ఒకరు ఒకే రకమైన అస్త్రాన్ని గురిచూసి వదిలారు. ఒకరి ఫ్లాష్‌బ్యాకుని ఒకరు కెలికి, అర్జంటుగా సిబిఐ ఎంక్వయిరీ వేయించాల్సిందేనంటూ ఒకే హైకోర్టుకు వెళ్లారు. కోర్టువారు ఇద్దరికీ సమాన న్యాయంచేసి, ఎవరు కోరిన ఎంక్వయిరీని వారికి మంజూరు చేశారు.
    దాంతో – బద్ధ విరోధులిద్దరికీ ఒకే రకమైన ఆపద వచ్చింది.
    ఋషిమూలం, నదిమూలంలాగే నాయకుడి మూలాన్ని కూడా తొంగి చూడకపోవటమే మంచిది. తవ్వటం మొదలుపెడితే ఎముకలు, అస్థిపంజరాలు ఎన్ని బయట పడతాయో, ఎన్ని తిప్పలు తెచ్చిపెడతాయో ఎవరికి ఎరుక? చట్టం చూపును గతంవైపు పోనివ్వకపోవటమే నేతాశ్రీలకు క్షేమం.
    సో! ఎలాగైనా సిబిఐ చెడు దృష్టి తమమీద పడకుండా చూసుకోవాలి. అది ఎలా? హైకోర్టు ఆర్డరును ఆపించాలంటే దాని పైకోర్టుకే పోవాలి అని ఎవరైనా చెబుతారు. తెలివి లేనివాడు… అందరిలాగే ఆలోచించి, అందరూ చేసే పనే చేశాడు. ఎగస్పార్టీవాళ్లు కుట్ర చేసి మమ్మల్ని సతాయించటానికే అన్యాయంగా ఎంక్వయిరీ వేయించారు, దాన్ని ఉన్నపళాన ఆపించాలి అంటూ సుప్రీంకోర్టుకు మొత్తుకున్నాడు.
    తెలివిగలవాడూ అదే పనిచేశాడు. కాని నేరుగా కాదు. ఇండైరక్టుగా! తాను వెనక ఉండి, అన్నీ జాగ్రత్తగా సెట్ చేశాక, తన శంఖుచక్రాలనూ, అవరోధ వ్రాతాలనూ పంపి సుప్రీంకోర్టులో కేసు వేయించాడు. సరిగ్గా తన పగవాడి ఆర్గ్యుమెంటునే అటూ ఇటూ మార్చి వన్స్‌మోర్‌గా వినిపించాడు.
    పై కోర్టువారు కూడా ఇరు పక్షాలకూ సమాన న్యాయం (లేక ‘అన్యాయం’) చేశారు! ఇక్కడికెందుకొచ్చారు, చెప్పాల్సిందేమన్నా ఉంటే కింది కోర్టుకే వెళ్లి చెప్పుకోమన్నారు. దాంతో సీను మళ్లీ హైకోర్టుకు మారింది.
    తెలివి తక్కువవాడు గోడకు కొట్టిన బంతిలా హైకోర్టుకు తిరిగొచ్చి, వెనకటి బెంచ్ దగ్గరికే మళ్లీ వెళ్లి, వెనకటి రికార్డునే మళ్లీ వినిపించాడు. ప్రాథమిక విచారణని ఆపించమని అతడు వేడుకుంటే, కోర్టు వారేమో ఏకంగా పూర్తిస్థాయి విచారణకే ఆర్డరు వేసి అతగాడికి మరిన్ని చికాకులు తెచ్చిపెట్టారు. చిక్కులు చుట్టుముట్టేకొద్దీ ఆ కుర్రవాడు రెచ్చిపోయి ఎల్లో మీడియానూ, గురివింద సిండికేట్లనూ పడతిట్టిపోస్తూ, కోర్టులనూ, కుమ్మక్కులనూ ఒళ్లుమండేలా అధిక్షేపిస్తూ, అనకూడని వారి గురించి, అనకూడని సమయంలో, అనకూడనిది అంటూ, బంటుల చేత అనిపిస్తూ ఉక్రోషంతో ఆక్రోశిస్తున్నాడు.
    మరి తెలివిమీరిన వాడో? అలాంటి పిచ్చి పనులు ఏమీ చెయ్యలేదు. అతడిదంతా గెరిల్లా పద్ధతి. ఒడుపుచూసి అడుగు వేస్తాడు. కీలెరిగి వాత పెడతాడు.
    చంద్రబాబు మంచి పనిమంతుడు. గొప్ప రాజకీయ క్రీడాకారుడు కూడా! పొలిటికల్ కారమ్ బోర్డు మీద స్ట్రైకరును ఎటుతిప్పికొడితే ఎటో ఉన్న రెడ్డో, దాని వెనుక బడ్డో ఎలా పాకెట్లో పడతాయో ఆయనకు భలేగా తెలుసు. పైగా బాబు పంచతంత్రంలోని దీర్ఘదర్శికి చదువు చెప్పగలిగినవాడు. ఇప్పటి తన పగవాడి డాడీలాగే నాయుడు కూడా చాలా ఏళ్లు రాజ్యమేలాడు. అనే్నళ్లూ ‘ఆ రెండు పత్రికలు’, ‘ఈ మూడు ముఠాలు’ అంటూ డైలాగులు కొడుతూ కూచోలేదు. దీపం ఉండగానే ఇల్లు చక్కబెట్టుకోవాలన్న పాలిసీతో ఏ క్షేత్రానికా క్షేత్రంలో పనికొచ్చే విత్తనాలను చల్లాడు. అవే ఇప్పుడు విరగపండి ఏ రంగానికారంగంలో అవసరానికి ఆదుకుంటున్నాయి.
    సుప్రీంకోర్టు స్టే ఇస్తుందో లేదో సందిగ్ధం కనుక ఎందుకైనా మంచిదని తెర వెనకే ఉండి కథ నడిపించిన బాబు, హైకోర్టుకు పోవచ్చని అక్కడ సెలవయ్యేసరికి ఈలవేస్తూ ముందుకొచ్చాడు. వాటమెరిగి పావులు కదిపాడు. న్యాయరంగంలో ఆయన ముందు జాగ్రత్తతో వెలిగించిన జ్యోతులూ సమయానికి అక్కరకొచ్చి కాగలకార్యాన్ని తిరుగులేని వ్యూహం ప్రకారం తీర్చాయి.
    పవిత్రమైన కేసు పడగూడని వాళ్ల చేతుల్లో పడితే కొంపలంటుకుంటాయి. పాముల నోట పడకుండా తప్పించుకుంటూ కోరిక తీర్చే పెద్దనిచ్చెనను చేరుకుంటేగానీ జాక్‌పాట్ తగలదు. దానికి అదృష్టాన్ని నమ్ముకుని లాభం లేదు. ప్రణాళిక వెయ్యాలి. పాచిక విసరాలి. తెలుగుదేశం కన్న తండ్రి మీదే కోర్టుకెక్కి పార్టీ, జండా, గుర్తు, ఆస్తులు అన్నీ తనవేనని ‘జయప్రదంగా’ అనిపించుకోగలిగిన కౌటిల్యుడికి ఆఫ్టరాల్ ఒక ఎంక్వయిరీ ఉత్తర్వును ఎత్తివేయించటం ఒక లెక్కా?
    భారతంలో కృష్ణుడు భీష్ముడి దగ్గరికే ధర్మరాజును పంపించి, తమరిచేత అస్తస్రన్యాసం చేయించటం ఎలా అని కూపీలాగించాడు. బాబు అండ్ కో అంతకంటే ఘనులు. ఏ ‘నాట్ బిఫోర్’ శిఖండిని అడ్డంపెడితే ఏ బెంచి చేతులెత్తేస్తుందో ముందే గ్రహించి, ఆయా శిఖండులను ఆయా సమయాలకు రెడీచేసి, అనుమానపు బెంచిలను పక్కకు తప్పించి, ప్రాప్తమున్న తీరానికి కేసు పడవను ఝామ్మంటూ లాక్కుపోయారు. మొత్తానికి కార్యం సాధించారు.
    మీరు ఫలానా కేసులో ఎగస్పార్టీకి మేలు చేశారు. కాబట్టి ఈ కేసులోనూ మాకు కీడే చేస్తారు. మాకు నమ్మకం లేదు కాబట్టి మీరు కేసు తీసుకోకండి – అంటూ ఆ బాలుడు అడ్డదిడ్డంగా వాదిస్తూ తీరికూర్చుని జడ్జిలకు ఒళ్లు మండిస్తూంటే – ఈ గోపాలుడు న్యాయవ్యవస్థలోని ఉత్తమ సంప్రదాయాన్ని అడ్డంగా వాడుకుని, కులదైవాల అండతో, బంటు మీడియా వెంట్రిలాక్విజంతో కోరిన వరాన్ని సైలంటుగా కొట్టేశాడు. విరోధిమీద సిబిఐ ఎంక్వయిరీ పడితే, ‘స్టే’కెందుకు రంధి, విచారణకు నిలబడి నిజాయతీ నిరూపించుకోరాదా’ అని సవాలు విసిరిన బాబు అలాంటి ఎంక్వయిరీయే తన మీద పడేసరికి మిన్ను, మన్ను ఏకం చేసి, పద్మవ్యూహం పన్ని, ఎలాగైతేనేం అబేయన్సు అభయం పొందాడు.
    దటీజ్ బాబు! అందుకే జగనబ్బాయ్! నీ ఆటలు ‘నాట్ బిఫోర్’ బాబు!

    On most indicators, Chandrababu Naidu ran the worst performing state in the south of India for nearly 10 years. Yet the more damage he did, the more his media standing grew, says Ramon Magsaysay award winner P. Sainath, P Sainath

    July 2004: WELL, IT might be easier now to persuade the media that Andhra Pradesh is slightly bigger than Hyderabad. Two months after the polls, the media barely mention Chandrababu Naidu. The most written about Indian politician has vanished from their vision. Post-poll analyses have debated whether the national mandate was against Hindutva or for the reforms. They’ve been mostly silent on Mr. Naidu. This is more out of embarrassment than introspection. After all, he was the poster boy of the neo-liberal economic reforms.

    Still, a look at the myth of Mr. Naidu is key to grasping a lot of things. Including the gigantic crisis crippling Andhra Pradesh today. On most indicators, he ran the worst performing state in the south of India for nearly 10 years. Yet the more damage he did, the more his media standing grew. The gap between his image and his record is stunning.

    No other figure in Indian politics got the kind of press that Mr. Naidu did. The `miracle man.’ The `GeneratioNext CM,’ and, of course, `The CEO of Andhra Pradesh.’ A larger than life image held up by huge spending on self-publicity helped this along. Ad-gurus from Mumbai flew in to foster it. Our media lapped it up. And starry-eyed journalists from The New York Times, The Financial Times and heaps of other places, weighed in with their bit.

    Take 2002 for instance. Top international journals were scripting the Naidu-namah. Hyderabad was full of their hacks. One of them all but asked the Third World to pray for leaders like Mr. Naidu. That his regime had just chalked up growth of – 17. 06 per cent in agriculture seemed hardly to matter. The image was the thing. When the media dealt with Mr. Naidu, facts were irrelevant. As the founder of Private Eye once said: “Never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.” That was the editor of a satirical journal speaking half in jest. Our own editors applied that dictum with real zest and no trace of humour.

    Had another Chief Minister taken on an Alyque Padamsee to give him an image makeover, we would never have heard the end of it. The media saw nothing wrong in Mr. Naidu doing this. Wasn’t he, after all, the ultimate brand?

    It’s telling that what passed for critical press scrutiny first appeared after the exit polls suggested he was headed for defeat. Even then, there were those asserting the coast would stand by him in the second round of voting. How could it be otherwise? Hadn’t he done such great work?

    Mr. Naidu began with much goodwill. (Earned by the public’s acceptance of him as N.T. Rama Rao’s true successor.) His energy, his attitude towards technology (if not his grasp of it) seemed refreshing at the time. All of this went down well. As did his impatience with bureaucracy. But in the next few years, it became clear that the policies driven by that enthusiasm were disastrous for millions of poor people in his state. However, the more he disconnected from the poor, the more the corporate world loved him. He was now the champion of `the reforms.’ The darling of international donors.

    Endorsements from the World Bank, Bill Gates, Bill Clinton and assorted other billionaires further puffed his image – that of a selfless CEO slaving through sleepless nights to lead his dumb masses to enlightenment. All the evidence to the contrary seemed not to shake this. A few thousand farmers taking their own lives did fray the image for some. But mostly, as is now painfully clear, the media failed the challenge of that issue. Again, a couple of such stories did make the front pages outside the state – after the exit polls.

    Even the stories that did appear were shallow. Most reduced the suicides to solely an outcome of drought. A lazy way of dodging the many factors behind them. On the whole, a sloppy sycophancy affected media across the board.

    Keith Bradsher, for instance, is an award-winning investigative journalist. You’d think he would show some scepticism. But no. There was no place for that in the Naidu-namah. You came to this shrine to worship. Take this howler from Mr. Bradsher on Mr. Naidu in The New York Times (Dec. 27, 2002): “The party’s hold on power seems secure in Andhra Pradesh, partly because Mr. Naidu and his allies speak Telugu, a language spoken only in this state and by a few people in two adjacent states.”

    Really? What language do Mr. Naidu’s rivals speak? Esperanto? (Never mind that the party’s hold on power being secure seems, 18 months later, like famous last words.) The year that report ran was one that saw a rush of farmers’ suicides in the state. Mr. Bradsher’s piece approves of Mr. Naidu’s having “come close to balancing the state budget.” It does not say a word about his gigantic borrowings. From the World Bank and other sources, and the effect that it is likely to have on many budgets to come. Mr. Bradsher also wrote that Andhra Pradesh was on its way to being “an international model for certain public policies.”

    A hard-headed publication like The Financial Times fell in line. (May 2, 2003.) It had no qualms about suggesting: “In a country where lower caste women are locked out of decision-making, the government of Andhra Pradesh is sponsoring a social revolution.” This was happening in “thousands of villages” in the state. This, of Andhra Pradesh, where the panchayats were shut out and destroyed by Mr. Naidu’s schemes. The FT correspondent even found a village where women “who had for generations stayed indoors without voice or influence, now dominate the village square.”

    The Wall Street Journal saw him as “a model for fellow state leaders.” Time magazine declared him `South Asian of The Year’ as early as 1999. Newsweek responded by crediting Mr. Naidu with a Ph.D. he does not have.

    In the Indian media, the breathless awe and wonder was over the top. Yelling “IT’ and “software” often enough became a substitute for actual performance in those vital fields. Andhra Pradesh did not lead the nation. But media audiences thought it did. The state was not even in the top three. And was slipping in the ranks.

    This is also a state whose literacy levels are the worst in the south and lag behind the national average. A glance at the (Tata) Statistical Outline of India would show this: Even Cyberabad’s literacy is behind that of Patna, Ranchi, Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Jaipur. And that’s the rating of Mr. Naidu’s showpiece.

    It’s a state where millions of children are outside school. A state that has the largest number of child labourers in the country. And one where close to 90 per cent of rural workers are either illiterate or educated only up to the primary level.

    Employment growth saw a drastic decline in the Naidu era. In rural Andhra Pradesh, it was 2.40 per cent per annum in the decade before him. It fell to 0.29 per cent during 1994-2000. This was a worse decline than that seen in the rest of India. The rate of growth of real wages in rural areas fell sharply in the 1990s.

    What the media fondly called “one of the fastest-growing states” was really stumbling. The growth of GDP was just around 5 per cent for 1994-2001. Lowest among the southern states. Lower than the national average. Lower than what the same state had posted during 1981-91. Economists C. Mahendra Dev and C. Ravi show that “in the 1980s, A.P. was one of the top performing states in terms of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth. Only three states, Rajasthan, Haryana and Maharashtra, showed higher growth than A.P. in the 1980s.” However, this rank sank from number four to eight in the next decade. “Seven states showed higher growth than A.P. in the 1990s.” The state was overtaken by Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and West Bengal.

    This was the one state in the south that showed no improvement in its Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) between the first and second National Family Health Surveys. (Those came out in the early and late 1990s.) Indeed, its IMR of 65 is slightly worse than Bihar (62) on this count.

    Small farmers did badly everywhere in the country in the 1990s. But it was in Andhra Pradesh that they committed suicide in thousands. The years of hostile policy still take a toll. (The suicides continue in the weeks after Mr. Naidu’s exit. And there is a Kafkaesque touch to his standing up in the state Assembly demanding a decent deal for the farmers.)

    Through it all, Naidu-worship in the media only grew. With not an iota of scepticism. The media bios of Naidu called him the son of a “poor agriculturist.” Or of a “small farmer.” Or of a “modest farmer.” How the modest farmer and his spouse came to be worth Rs. 21 crores after nine years in power is a mystery no one wants to solve. That’s the figure you’ll find in his poll-time declaration of assets. But no questions. The king could do no wrong. (Courtesy: The Hindu) ⊕

    Vijayawada: The accidental death of Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy on September 2, 2009 had generated sympathy for his family and it provided a strong cover for the late leader’s young heir, YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Though this cover was tactically raised by the maverick K V P Ramachandra Rao, at the spur of the moment when sympathy wave was at its peak, YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy was able to continue it for his political upsurge in the State.

    Jagan started his political journey from Nallakaluva in Nallamala forest, where his father died in a helicopter crash, and the journey continues despite against several odds. Though the debate over the number of suicides and heart attacks that are stated to have occurred in the State following the death of YSR continues, Jaganmohan Reddy was able to cash in on the sympathy. His odarpu yatra to meet the family members of these dead had consolidated his base in the coastal districts.

    His daring decision to defy the mighty powers, his continued interface with the people for days together, since then had consolidated the sympathy among the people, more preciously among the Dalits, Christians and other Backward Classes.

    While the criminal cases, continued investigations and strong criticism from the Congress and Telugu Desam are seen as political strategy by those in power to beat the young leader, the same factors are helping him further consolidate his base among the poorer sections. Those who look at Jaganmohan Reddy with sympathy call the legal and political battles against him as witch-hunt and this consolidates the sympathy circle around the young leader.

    15 per cent dalits and five per cent Christians among them, the six to seven per cent of the neglected castes of the Backward Classes, like Salivahana (Kummari), Padmasali, Rajaka (Washermen), Nayee Brahmin (Barbers), Thogati, Kuruma, and a few more and the converted Christians from the upper castes like Reddys, Kammas and OBCs are currently rallying behind Jaganmohan Reddy on sympathy and gratitude towards YSR’s programmes.

    Besides them, a few hundreds of families from the upper castes, including the TD’s strong base of Kamma community, who were benefited by the Rajiv Arogya Sri scheme, and they are ready to pay their gratitude to the late leader for the help and this would give Jaganmohan Reddy a one-time benefit in this by-election.

    Interestingly, most of these castes and communities are concentrated in the Coastal and Rayalaseema districts, where by-elections are held and it is on this factor, the YSR Congress leaders are banking more for their victory.

    న్యూఢిల్లీ, న్యూస్‌లైన్ : దేశంలోని అత్యున్నత దర్యాప్తు సంస్థ అయిన సీబీఐ (సెంట్రల్ బ్యూరో ఆఫ్ ఇన్వెస్టిగేషన్) ఎంత మాత్రం స్వతంత్రంగా వ్యవహరించజాలదనీ, కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ కనుసన్నల్లోనే అది పని చే స్తుందని ఆ సంస్థ మాజీ డెరైక్టర్ జోగిందర్ సింగ్ తేల్చి చెప్పారు. ‘‘కేంద్రం ప్రతి దశలోనూ సీబీఐకి తాను చెప్పదలచుకున్న దాన్ని హోం శాఖ న్యాయ సలహాదారుల ద్వారా చెబుతుంది. సీబీఐ పూర్తిగా వారి సూచనలు, నిర్దేశాల మేరకే పని చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. వారేం చెబితే అది చేయాల్సిందే. దాన్ని తోసిపుచ్చేందుకు సంస్థకు ఎలాంటి అవకాశమూ లేదు’’ అని స్పష్టం చేశారు. ‘‘సీబీఐ పనితీరుపై చాలా ఆరోపణలున్నాయి. పైగా ఒక్కో కేసులోనూ అది ఒక్కో విధంగా పని చేస్తుంది. ఇది పూర్తిగా వాస్తవం’’ అని ఆయన శనివారం ఢిల్లీలో ‘సాక్షి’కి ఇచ్చిన ప్రత్యేక ఇంటర్య్యూలో వివరించారు. కేంద్ర ఎన్నికల సంఘం, సుప్రీంకోర్టు మాదిరిగా సీబీఐకి రాజ్యాంగపరమైన స్వయం ప్రతిపత్తిని కల్పించడమే ఈ సమస్యకు ఏకైక పరిష్కారమని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. దేశంలో అన్ని సంస్థలు, వ్యక్తులు కూడా ఇందుకోసం డిమాండ్ చేయాలని సూచించారు. ఏ ప్రభుత్వమైనా మీడియాను నియంత్రించేందుకే ప్రయత్నిస్తోందన్నారు. దేన్నయినా మేనేజ్ చేయగలమని, ఏ వ్యక్తినయినా ఇబ్బంది పెట్టగలమని అధికారంలో ఉన్నవారు అనుకుంటారని, అదే సమస్యని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఇదో దుష్ట సంప్రదాయమని ఆవేదన వెలిబుచ్చారు.

    మీడియాపై ఎలాంటి ఆంక్షలను, పరిమితులను విధించడానికైనా తాను బద్ధ వ్యతిరేకినని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు. మీడియా స్వేచ్ఛను నాశనం చేసేందుకు, వేలాది మంది ఉద్యోగుల జీవనోపాధిపై దెబ్బ కొట్టడానికి జరుగుతున్న ఒక స్వల్పకాలిక విధానం వంటి ప్రయత్నం జరుగుతోందని సాక్షిపై ప్రభుత్వ వేధింపులను ఉద్దేశించి అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. సాక్షి తన ఖాతాల విషయంలో సీబీఐ తీసుకున్న చర్యలపై ధైర్యంగా న్యాయపోరాటం చేయాలని సలహా ఇచ్చారు. దేశం కోసం పనిచేసే వారికి లక్షలాది కష్టాలు, అడ్డంకులు తప్పవన్న భగత్ సింగ్ వ్యాఖ్యలను ఉటంకించారు. ‘సీబీఐ ఎవరినీ బ్లాక్‌మెయిల్ చేయదు. కాకపోతే అది పూర్తిగా కేంద్ర హోం శాఖ లీగల్ అధికారుల సలహాల మేరకే నడుచుకుంటుంది. ప్రభుత్వం వారి ద్వారా సంస్థకు ముందుగా ఒక సలహా ఇస్తుంది. తర్వాత దాన్ని మార్చుకుంటుంది. ఆ మేరకు సీబీఐ దర్యాప్తు తీరూ మారుతుంది. అలా ఆ సంస్థ నిందలపాలవుతుంది’’ అని వివరించారు. తెరవెనక ఉండి కథ నడిపించే వారు మాత్రం ఎప్పటికీ బయటికి రారన్నారు.

    సీబీఐకి సొంతంగా ఒక న్యాయవాదిని నియమించుకునే అధికారం కూడా లేదని జోగిందర్‌సింగ్ అన్నారు. సీబీఐకి కేంద్ర హోం శాఖ లీగల్ అధికారుల నుంచి లిఖితపూర్వకంగానే సలహాలు వస్తాయని వివరించారు. ‘ఇది చేయండి, ఇది చేయకూడదు అని ప్రభుత్వం నేరుగా చెప్పక పోయినా లీగల్ అధికారులు మాత్రం అన్నీ చెబుతారు. వారు ఇచ్చే సలహాలు కూడా అన్ని సార్లూ ఒకే విధంగా ఉండవు, నిలకడగా ఉండవు, ఒక్కొక్కసారి ఒక్కో విధంగా ఉంటాయి. బోఫోర్స్ ఉదంతమే అందుకు చక్కని ఉదాహరణ. ఈ కేసుకు సంబంధించి ఒకప్పుడు న్యాయశాఖ మంత్రిగా ఉండి, ఇపుడు ఒక రాష్ట్రానికి గవర్నర్‌గా ఉన్న వ్యక్తి అప్పట్లో అదనపు సొలిసిటర్ జనరల్‌ను పంపి మరీ, కత్రోచి ఖాతాలోని రూ.21 కోట్ల నిధులను విడుదల చేయాల్సిందిగా చెప్పించారు. తర్వాతేమో నెపాన్ని సీబీఐ మీదికే తోసేశారు’’ అంటూ వివరించారు. సాక్షి ఖాతాల స్తంభన, దర్యాప్తు మంచీ చెడుల జోలికి తాను వెళ్లబోననీ, అయితే అందరి విషయంలో ఒకే విధంగా వ్యవహరించాలని ఆయనన్నారు. ‘ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకునే చర్యలు ఒక ప్రాంతానికి మరొక ప్రాంతానికి వేర్వేరుగా ఉంటున్నాయి మధ్య ప్రదేశ్‌లో ఒక కోటీశ్వరుని విషయంలో ఆయన ఆస్తిని ఏ మాత్రం స్తంభింపజేయలేదు.

    ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్‌లో ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శిగా చేసిన వ్యక్తి విషయంలోనూ, ఒక ఐఏఎస్ దంపతుల కేసు విషయంలోనూ ఆస్తులను స్వాధీనం చేసుకోలేదు. నా ల్యాప్‌ట్యాప్ నిండా ఇలాంటి ఎందరో అధికారుల పేర్లున్నాయి. కానీ వారెవరి విషయంలో ఇలా వ్యవహరించలేదుమరికొందరు రాజకీయ నాయకులపై జరుగుతున్న దర్యాప్తులోనూ ఇలా వ్యవహరించలేదు’ అని సాక్షి ఖాతాల స్తంభనను ఉద్దేశించి అన్నారు. ఆస్తులు స్వాధీనం చేసుకోవాలనుకుంటే ప్రభుత్వం ఒక చట్టం చేయాలని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. కేవలం ఎంపిక చేసుకున్న కొందరి విషయంలోనే ఇలా వ్యవహరించడం సరికాదు. అందరి విషయంలోనూ ఒకే లాగా వ్యవహరించాలన్నారు. ‘‘మనదేశంలో అధికారంలో ఉన్నవారు కొందరిని ఒక దృష్టితో మరికొందరిని ప్రత్యేక దృష్టితో చూస్తారు. నాయకులు నైతికతకు, విలువలకు కట్టుబడి ఉండాలి’’ అని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. సాక్షి ఖాతాల విషయంలో సోమవారం న్యాయస్థానం వెలువరించే తీర్పు సంస్థకు సానుకూలంగా ఉంటుందని ఆశాభావం వ్యక్తం చేస్తూ దేశంలో న్యాయమూర్తులు స్వతంత్రంగా పని చేస్తున్నారని అన్నారు.

      అభిమానం ముందు సూరీడు చిన్నబోయాడు. ఉదయం నుంచి ఉక్కపోత. పొద్దెక్కే కొద్దీ భగభగ మండే ఎండ. కాలు బయట పెట్టాలన్నా మనసొప్పని వేడి తీవ్రత. అలాంటి సమయంలో రాజన్న తనయుడు వైఎస్ జగన్‌మోహన్‌రెడ్డి రాక. ఒక్కసారిగా జనంతో రోడ్లు, మిద్దెలు కిక్కిరిసాయి. ఆయన మాట.. ఆప్యాయ పలకరింపుతో అక్కడి వాతావరణం ఒక్కసారిగా చల్లబడింది. సూరీడు మేఘాల చాటుకు వెళ్లిపోగా.. అభిమానం జల్లులై కురిసింది.

      కర్నూలు, న్యూస్‌లైన్: పిల్లలు.. పెద్దలే కాదు.. సరిగ్గా నడవలేని అవ్వాతాతలు సైతం వైఎస్ జగన్‌మోహన్‌రెడ్డి కోసం మండుటెండలో బారులుతీరారు. వారి ప్రేమ, ఆప్యాయతలకు ఆయనా ఉప్పొంగిపోయారు. జననేత ఏ గ్రామానికి వెళ్లినా ఇలాంటి దృశ్యాలే. కనిపించిన వారందరి యోగక్షేమాలు తెలుసుకుంటూ ముందుకు కదిలారు. ప్రజల యోగక్షేమాలే తనకు ముఖ్యమంటూ వారి మనసు గెలుచుకున్నారు. ప్రజలు సైతం ఈలలు, కేరింతలు, చప్పట్లతో ఆయనను ఉత్సాహపరిచారు. ఉప ఎన్నికల ప్రచారంలో భాగంగా వైఎస్ జగన్‌మోహన్ రెడ్డి శనివారం ఎమ్మిగనూరు నియోజకవర్గంలో పార్టీ అభ్యర్థి ఎర్రకోట చెన్నకేశవరెడ్డితో కలిసి ఎన్నికల ప్రచారాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు.

      పజలు అడుగడుగునా నిరాజనం పలికారు. ఎమ్మిగనూరు మండలం ఎర్రకోట గ్రామంలో ఎన్నికల ప్రచారాన్ని ప్రారంభించి గువ్వలదొడ్డి, పెద్దమర్రివీడు, చిన్నమర్రివీడు, అలువాల, ఏనుగుబాల, దైవందిన్నె, పొనకలదిన్నె, టి.సోమలగూడూరు, మిట్టసోమాపురం, నాగలదిన్నె గ్రామాల్లో ఆయన రోడ్‌షోలు నిర్వహించి ప్రజలనుద్దేశించి ప్రసంగించారు. రాష్ట్రంలో పేదలు, రైతులు తీవ్ర కష్టాల్లో ఉంటే వారి కోసం ప్రభుత్వంపై అవిశ్వాస తీర్మానికి మద్దతిచ్చి ఎమ్మెల్యే పదవిని త్యాగం చేసిన ఎర్రకోట చెన్నకేశవ రెడ్డిని గెలిపించాని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. నేతల్లో రెండు రకాలుంటారని.. ప్రజలు ఏమైనా తమకేం అనుకునే వాళ్లు మొదటి రకం వారైతే.. కష్టాల్లో ఉన్న ప్రజల కోసం తమ పదవులను సైతం త్యాగం చేసే నేతలు రెండో రకమన్నారు. తమ పదవులు పోతాయని తెలిసీ అవిశ్వాస తీర్మానానికి మద్దతిచ్చిన 17 మంది ఎమ్మెల్యేలే అసలైన నాయకులని కొనియాడారు.

      పస్తుతం రాష్ట్రంలో ఫీజు రీయింబర్స్‌మెంట్, ఆరోగ్యశ్రీ, 108 అంబులెన్స్ లాంటి సంక్షేమ పథకాల పనితీరు ఎలా అధ్వాన్నంగా తయారైందో ప్రజలకు వివరించి ప్రభుత్వ వైఫల్యాలను ఎండగట్టడంలో సఫలమయ్యారు. ముఖ్యంగా మూగ, చెవిటి చిన్నారులకు మాట, వినికిడి రప్పించడానికి ఆరోగ్యశ్రీ పథకం కింద ఉచితంగా కాక్లియర్ ఇంప్లాంటేషన్ చికిత్సను దివంగత వైఎస్ అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకొచ్చారన్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం రాష్ట్రాన్ని ఏలుతున్న వారు డబ్బు మిగుల్చుకునేందుకు ఆంక్షలు విధించి 2 ఏళ్లలోపు వయస్సున్న బాలలకు మాత్రమే చికిత్స చేస్తుండడంపై జగన్ తీవ్ర ఆవేదనతో చేసిన ప్రసంగాలు ప్రజలను కదిలించాయి.

      ఆ చిన్నారులు ఇక జీవితాంతం చీకటిలోనే ఉండిపోవాలా? ఆ పిల్లల తల్లిదండ్రుల ఆవేదన తీరదా? అని సంధించిన ప్రశ్నలు ప్రజలను ఆలోచింపజేశాయి. అధికార కాంగ్రెస్, ప్రధాన ప్రతిపక్షం టీడీపీలు కుమ్మక్కై రాష్ట్రంలో మూడో ప్రత్యామ్నాయ పార్టీ లేకుండా కుట్రపన్నుతున్న తీరును జగన్ ఉదహరించగా ప్రజలు ఆ రెండు పార్టీలకు వ్యతిరేకంగా గట్టిగా నినాదానాలు చేశారు. చనిపోయిన మహానేత వైఎస్ రాజశేఖర రెడ్డి, తన ప్రతిష్టను దెబ్బతీయడానికి ఈ రెండు పార్టీలు కలిసికట్టుగా సాగిస్తున్న దురాగతాలను ప్రజలకు వివరించారు. సాక్షి పత్రికను మూసివేయించడానికి ప్రస్తుతం జరుగుతున్న ప్రయత్నాలూ ఇందులో భాగమేనని పేర్కొన్నా రు.

      పతి పేదవాడి కోసం.. రైతు కోసం.. విశ్వసనీయత కోసం.. నిజాయతీతో కూడిన రాజకీయాల కోసం ప్రజలు తమ ఓటును వినియోగించి రాష్ట్రంలో రైతులు పడుతున్న ఆగచాట్లను ఢిల్లీ నుంచి రిమోట్ కంట్రోల్‌తో పాలిస్తున్న కాంగ్రెస్ పెద్దలకు తెలియజేయాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. పార్టీ కేంద్ర పాలక మండలి సభ్యులు భూమా నాగిరెడ్డి, జిల్లా కన్వీనర్ గౌరు వెంకట రెడ్డి, ఎమ్మెల్సీ ఎస్వీ మోహన్ రెడ్డి, కేడీసీసీ బ్యాంకు ఉపాధ్యక్షులు జగన్‌మోహన్ రెడ్డిలు జగన్‌తో పాటు రోడ్‌షోల్లో పాల్గొన్నారు. మం త్రాలయం ఎమ్మెల్యే బాలనాగిరెడ్డి, నందికొట్కూరు మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే గౌరు చరిత రెడ్డి, మైదుకూరు మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే రఘురామిరెడ్డి తదితరులు జగన్‌ను ఎర్రకోటలోని సెయింట్ జాన్స్ కళాశాల అతిథిగృహంలో కలిసి మాట్లాడారు.

      If they do that, it will lead to the loss of credibility for which Jagan has undergone so many hardships. Jagan said very clearly that he will never join hands with BJP. For the welfare of the state he is willing to join hands with UPA members like Mamata, Pawar or even UPA Chairperson Sonia, but never BJP.

    As per Latest Cong survey, Cong will not get deposits in 8 assembly segments and TDP in 5 segments.
    Konda Surekha is marginally ahead of TRS in Parkal.
