Why was Prasada Rao posted as ACB chief?
…………..Though nobody can question the government to appoint a DGP rank officer as the ACB chief, one wonders why it has chosen only Prasada Rao.
The answer to this question is simple: Prasada Rao had been the Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) till the other day. And he was directly answerable to Transport Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana.
And the ACB had been particularly targeting Botsa’s liquor syndicates in Vizianagaram district and Boobathi Babu was almost getting ready to arrest Botsa in the liquor scam. So, Botsa had no other option to see that an officer loyal to him is posted in the ACB in order to save his skin. And there is no better person than Prasada Rao, who was working in his department, to head the ACB. That is how Prasada Rao could make it to the top post in the ACB. All is well that ends well for Botsa!

The move by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to accuse the Congress-Telugu Desam of conspiring to arrest him and then foment trouble in Andhra Pradesh and use that as a pretext to postpone the byelections scheduled for June 12, is clever political strategy. What he has done is to create a win-win situation for himself because if he is indeed arrested, he can say, I told you so and if he is not, he gains any way. He is succeeding in creating public opinion that he is number one and that his two political rivals are ganging up against him.
There is already a lot of talk in Andhra Pradesh about whether he will be arrested before or on May 28, the day he is scheduled to appear before the CBI court. The Congress government, in my opinion, messed up by freezing the accounts of Jagan’s media group. It was a futile exercise, one that only gave him oxygen of publicity. And when he linked it to the jobs of 20000 employees (directly and indirectly employed by the group), even neutral people and journalists ended up supporting him. It was in any case, a legally untenable act.
What impact will the process of investigation have on the bypolls due on June 12 to one Lok Sabha and 18 assembly constituencies? Little. That’s because these allegations that have been levelled by the CBI are not new and people are aware of them. A political vacuum exists in Andhra Pradesh today with the ruling Congress facing anti-incumbency and the TDP unable to improve its image and credibility. Independent of what the CBI and the courts say, support for Jagan is based on the emotional attachment that arises out of a sympathy for YSR and the welfare agenda he pursued as chief minister.
One may ask why is it that the allegations of corruption against Jagan do not make him a political outcast. At the end of the day, people are also selfish. They will tell you that when the rich man is not bothered about corruption, why should the poor man bother. The cynicism that everyone is corrupt has crept in, coupled with the realisation that the alternate political culture presented by other political parties is not radically different in any way.

New Delhi: The Comptroller and Auditor Generals final report on allocation of coal blocks between 2004 and 2009 without auction is expected to peg the value of undue benefits that the government extended to private entities alone at more than Rs 1.8 lakh crore,sources have indicated.
The last draft of the report,first reported by TOI on March 22,had said the government extended undue benefits of Rs 10.67 lakh crore by giving away 155 mines to 100 commercial entities,including public sector bodies,without bidding since 2004.
The government auditor has brought down the value of undue benefits by taking out public sector and state government entities from the final report and focusing only on private ventures.
This was done at the coal ministrys behest,which argued during the exit conference that public sector entities are audited separately.But even at the reduced level,the value of undue benefit to coal block allottees is higher than the outer limit of the Rs 1.76 lakh crore-loss estimated by CAG in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
Besides,removal of public sector and state entities from the final report would mean the entire undue benefit of over Rs 1.8 lakh crore has accrued to private entities alone.The content of the final report can still cause further discomfort to a government already reeling under allegations of corruption,sleaze and crony capitalism.
Sources said the report has been lying with the government since May 11 and may be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday,the last day of the Budget session of the House.

హైదరాబాద్, మే 21: అవిశ్వాస తీర్మానంతో సాధించింది ఏమీ లేకపోయినా ఉప ఎన్నికల రూపంలో సమస్యలు ఎదుర్కోవలసి వస్తోందని టిడిపి నాయకులు మధనపడుతున్నారు. అధికారానికి దూర మై ఎనిమిదేళ్లు అవుతుంది. తరుచుగా వచ్చే ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో ఓటమి వల్ల పార్టీ శ్రేణుల్లో నిరుత్సాహం కలుగుతోందని సీనియర్లు ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. ఒకేసారి సాధారణ ఎన్నికలకు వెళ్లినప్పుడు ఫలితాలు ఎలా ఉన్నా అర్ధం చేసుకోవచ్చు కానీ ఉప ఎన్నికల పుణ్యమా? అని రోజూ చస్తూ బతకాల్సి వస్తోందని వాపోతున్నారు. 18 నియోజక వర్గాల్లో జరిగే ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో గెలుపుపై టిడిపి నాయకులు ఏ మాత్రం ఆశలు పెట్టుకోవడం లేదు. ఐదారు స్థానాల్లో గట్టిపోటీ ఇస్తామని, రెండు మూడు స్థానాల్లో గెలుస్తామని టిడిపి నాయకులు మొదటి నుంచి చెబుతూ వచ్చారు, కానీ జగన్ సంస్థలపై వరుస దాడులతో పరిస్థితి మారిందని చెబుతున్నారు. ఒక వ్యక్తిని లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకుని దాడులు జరుపుతున్నారనే అభిప్రాయం బలంగా వినిపిస్తోందని, ఇది టిడిపికి నష్టం కలిగించే అంశం అని సీనియర్ నాయకుడొకరు తెలిపారు.
అవిశ్వాస తీర్మానం పెట్టమని జగన్ పదే పదే డిమాండ్ చేసినప్పుడు అవిశ్వాస తీర్మానం పెట్టడం ద్వారా జగన్‌ను దెబ్బతీశామని అనుకున్నాం కానీ ఇప్పుడు ఉప ఎన్నికల ద్వారా ఆయన కన్నా ఎక్కువ మేమే నష్టపోతున్నామని సీనియర్లు అంటున్నారు.
ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో 8 స్థానాల్లో మూడవ స్థానం లభిస్తుందని సీనియర్లు చెబుతున్నారు.
అయితే జగన్ అరెస్టు జరిగితే వచ్చే సాధారణ ఎన్నికల నాటికి అది మా పార్టీకి ఉపయోగపడవచ్చునని భావిస్తున్నట్టు పార్టీ సీనియర్లు తెలిపారు. జగన్ అరెస్టు జరిగితే వైఎస్ఆర్ కాంగ్రెస్ శ్రేణుల్లో ఉత్సాహం తగ్గిపోతుందని, ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితుల్లో కాంగ్రెస్ ఎలాగూ కోలుకునే పరిస్థితి లేదు కాబట్టి మిగిలింది మేమే అని టిడిపి సీనియర్లు అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు. అరెస్టు తరువాత పరిణామాలను బట్టి టిడిపి పరిస్థితి అంచనా వేయాల్సి ఉంటుందని టిడిపి నాయకులు తెలిపారు.

అక్రమ పెట్టుబడులతో జగన్ సాక్షి దినపత్రికను పెట్టాడని చంద్రబాబు ఆయన అనుంగు మిత్రులు రామోజీ రావు , రాధాకృష్ణ లు ఒకటే గొంతు చించు కొంటున్నారు. ఇంతకీ వారేమన్న నీతిమంతులా అంటే అదికాదు. ఒక్క విషయం మాట్లాడదాం, సాక్షి పెట్టేంతవరకు తెలుగు జర్నలిస్టులు ఈనాడు పత్రికలో గాదిదచాకిరీ చేసే పనివారు . ఒకరకంగా రామోజిరావుకు కొన్ని వనేలమంది కొన్నేళ్ళపాటు వెట్టి చేసారు. సాక్షి వచినతరువాత వారికి కొంత గౌరవం దక్కింది. వారూ ఉద్యోగస్తులే అన్న భావన ప్రజల్లో కలిగింది. చాలామంది సాక్షి పత్రిక వచ్చినందుకు సంతోషించారు. కేవలం ఒక్క చంద్రబాబు, రామోజీరావు, రాధాకృష్ణ లు తప్ప. ఇదేదో నేను వారిమీద కక్ష కట్టి కావాలని రాయడం లేదు. ఈనాడు పేపర్లో పెళ్ళాం పిల్లలను గూడ పట్టించుకోకుండా గాదిదచ్చాకిరీ చేసిన ఒకడిగా రాస్తున్నాను. సాక్షి వచ్చిన తరువాత పెద్ద పెద్ద జీతాలు ఇవ్వాల్సి వచిందే నాన్న మంటతో రామోజీరావు ఉన్నాడు. దానికి ఏదో విధంగా మద్దతు ఇస్తేనే చంద్రబాబు మనుగడ. లేకుంటే ఇంతే సంగతులు. మార్గదర్శిని అడ్డంపెట్టుకొని అడ్డగోలుగా ప్రజలనుంచి వెలది కోట్లు దండుకొంటే దానిపై ప్రభుత్వం కాసు పెడితే అది పత్రికా స్వేచ మీద దాడిగా చంద్రబాబు గొంతు సిన్చుకొన్నాడు.
ఆయన వేలాది ఎకరాలు పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలకు ఇచ్చి పరిశ్రమలను ప్రోచాహిస్తే అది డెవెలప్మెంట్. వేరేవాళ్ళు ఇస్తే అది అవినీతి. కేవలం ఒక సాక్షి పత్రికను పెట్టినందుకు చంద్రబాబు, రామోజీరావు, రాధాకృష్ణ అడ్డగోలు రాతలు రాసి రాస్త్రాసాన్ని ఎంత బ్రస్టు పట్టిసున్నారు? దీనిని చూస్తూ పనికిమాలిన కాంగ్రెస్స్ నేతలు ఎంతగా అభినందిస్తున్నారూ. నిజంగా తెలుగు వారికి దొరికిన ఈ పనికిమాలిన నేతల గురించి ఎంత బాధ పడాలో గదా?
ఈ నెల ఇరవై ఎనిమిదోతేదీన వై.ఎస్.ఆర్.కాంగ్రెస్ అద్యక్షుడు జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి సిబిఐ కోర్టుకు స్వయంగా హాజరు కావాలని కోర్టు స్పష్టం చేసింది. జగన్ తరపు న్యాయవాది ఈ విషయమై సిబిఐ కోర్టును వివరణ అడిగారు. జగన్ స్వయంగా హాజరు కావాలా? లేక ఆయన తరపు న్యాయవాది హాజరు అయినా సరిపోతుందా? అని లాయర్ అడిగారు. దానికి సిబిఐ కోర్టు స్పష్టంగా జగన్ హాజరు కావాలని చెప్పింది.

త్వరలో జరుగనున్న శాసనసభ ఉప ఎన్నికల కోసం వైఎస్ఆర్ కాంగ్రెస్ తరపున ‘కేంద్ర దర్యాప్తు విభాగం-సిబిఐ-వారు భారీ ఎత్తున ప్రచారం నిర్వహిస్తుండడం సమకాలీన రాజకీయ వైచిత్రి. ఆ పార్టీ అధినాయకుడు, జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డిపై దాఖలైన అభియోగాలు ప్రాతిపదికగా సిబిఐ వారు అత్యంత ఆర్భాటంగా కొనసాగిస్తున్న ‘న్యాయ’ ప్రక్రియ ఇందుకు నిదర్శనం. ‘సిబిఐ’కి స్వతంత్రంగా నిలబడగల కాళ్ళున్నాయనిగాని, నిష్పక్షపాతంగా వీక్షించగల కళ్ళున్నాయనిగాని ఎవరూ భావించడం లేదు. ఆ సంస్థ పనితీరుకు సంబంధించిన చారిత్రక నేపథ్యం గురించి తెలిసిన వారికి దాని ‘స్వతంత్ర ప్రతిపత్తి’పై ఆవగింజంత అనుమానం కూడ లేదు! కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ రాజకీయ నిర్వాహకులు సిబిఐ మాధ్యమంగా ఈ జగన్ వ్యతిరేక తతంగాన్ని నడిపిస్తున్నారన్నది పసిపిల్లలకు సైతం అవగతమైపోతున్న అతి రహస్యం! సిబిఐ వారి ‘దర్యాప్తు’నకు ‘చర్యల’కు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఇతోధిక సహకారం అందిస్తుందనడం న్యాయ ప్రక్రియను వెక్కిరిస్తున్న మరో వికృత వాస్తవం. జగన్మోహన రెడ్డి అక్రమాలకు అవినీతికి పాల్పడలేదని కాని, పాపపు సొమ్మును మూటలు కట్టలేదని కాని విశ్వసించడం, విశ్వసించలేకపోవడం వేరే సంగతి. కానీ రాజశేఖర రెడ్డి మరణం తరువాత జగన్ రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ అధికార పక్షంలోనే కొనసాగి ఉంటే, రాజకీయ పరమైన అత్యాశలను ఆవిష్కరిచకపోయి ఉండినట్టయితే ‘సిబిఐ’ వారి చేత కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ నిర్వాహకులు ఈ ‘కాండ’ను జరిపించి ఉండేవారా? అన్నది అందరికీ సమాధానం తెలిసిన ప్రశ్న! అవినీతిపరులపై అభియోగాలను దాఖలు చేసిన తరువాత న్యాయస్థానాల అనుమతితో దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలు నిందితుల వ్యక్తిగతమైన ఆస్తులను జప్తు చేయవచ్చు. కానీ నిందితులు నిర్వహిస్తున్న సంస్థలు పనిచేయకుండా స్తంభింప చేయడానికి, వాటిని మూసివేయించడానికి దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలు ప్రయత్నించినట్టు సమకాలంలో దాఖలాలు లేవు. కాని ‘సాక్షి’, ‘ఇందిరా’ ప్రచార మాధ్యమాలు మూత పడానికి వలసిన చర్యలను ‘సిబిఐ’ ప్రారంభించడం ‘చట్టం’ పేరుతో జరుగుతున్న అధికార దుర్వినియోగానికి ప్రత్యక్ష సాక్ష్యం. వందలకోట్ల రూపాయల కుంభకోణం నిర్వహించిన ‘ఎమ్మార్’ విదేశీయ స్వదేశీయ సంస్థల ఆస్తులను ‘సిబిఐ’ వారు జప్తు చేశారా? రామలింగరాజును అరెస్ట్ చేసిన తరువాత కూడ ‘సత్యం’ సంస్థ ఆస్తులను జప్తు చేయలేదు. సంస్థ యాజమాన్యం చేతులు మారడానికి కాని, కొనసాగడానికి కాని ఎలాంటి అవరోధాలు ఏర్పడలేదు. అలాగే ‘సాక్షి’ సంస్థల యాజమాన్యాలు, నిర్వాహకులు, అవినీతికి పాల్పడినప్పుడు వారిని విచారించాలి. న్యాయస్థానాలు నిజానిజాలను నిగ్గు తేల్చి తీర్పు చెప్పాలి! కానీ ఆ ప్రక్రియ కొనసాగుతున్న దశలోనే సిబిఐ వారు, వారిని నడిపిస్తున్న వారు తీర్పు చెప్పేస్తున్నారు! ఆదాయపు వనరులకు మించిన రీతిలో జగన్ కూడబెట్టిన అక్రమ సంపదను పసికట్టి దాడి చేసి ‘సిబిఐ’ వారు స్వాధీనం చేసుకోవచ్చు. కానీ ‘సాక్షి’ ప్రచురణ దృశ్యమాధ్యమాలు చట్టబద్ధంగా నమోదయి నడుస్తున్న సంస్థలు. ఈ సంస్థల పనితీరులో ‘అవినీతి’ సంభవించినపుడు తదనుగుణంగా అభియోగాలు దాఖలయినప్పుడు వాటి ‘బ్యాంకు అకౌంట్లను’ స్తంభింపజేయవచ్చు. ఆస్తులను జప్తు చేసి యాజమాన్యంతో నిమిత్తం లేకుండా న్యాయస్థానాలు నిర్దేశించిన రీతిలో ఆ సంస్థలను నడిపించవచ్చు. అదేమీ జరగలేదు. జగన్‌పై దాఖలైన అభియోగాల ప్రాతిపదికగా, సజావుగా పనిచేస్తున్న సంస్థలను మూసివేస్తారట! ఈలోగా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ‘సాక్షి’ పత్రికను తమ వాణిజ్య ప్రకటనలు రద్దు చేయడం రాజ్యాంగ వ్యవస్థను అపహాస్యం పాలు చేసిన మరో దారుణం. గుండ్రాతినీ మోకాలు చిప్పకు ముడిపెట్టడానికి ఇంతకంటె వికృతమైన ఉదాహరణ మరొకటి ఉండదు.
రాజశేఖర రెడ్డి ప్రభుత్వం హయాంలో జగన్‌కు అక్రమ సంపద కూడినప్పుడు, అందుకు దోహదం చేసిన అవినీతికరమైన నిర్ణయాలకు మంత్రివర్గం బాధ్యత వహించవలసి ఉంది. అలాకాక ఐదుగురు లేదా మరికొందరు మంత్రులు మాత్రమే జగన్‌కు సహకరించి ఉండినప్పటికీ వారు కూడా నేరస్థులే! అలాంటి మంత్రులు ఇప్పటి మంత్రివర్గంలో కూడ సభ్యులుగా ఉన్నారు. సమాధానం చెప్పవలసిందిగా వారికి సుప్రీంకోర్టు నోటీసును కూడ జారీ చేసింది. మరి అలాంటి వారు తమ పదవులకు రాజీనామాలు చేసి ఈ పాటికే నిందితులుగా న్యాయస్థానాలలో నిలబడి ఉండాలి! కానీ సిబిఐ వారు ఈ మంత్రులపై ఇంతవరకు అభియోగాలు మోపలేదు. కొంతమంది విచారించినప్పటికీ వారిని ‘అవినీతి’తో సంబంధం ఉందని కాని, లేదని కాని ‘సిబిఐ’ తేల్చి చెప్పలేదు. జగన్ విషయంలో కూడ నెమ్మది నెమ్మదిగా ఇబ్బందులను కలిగిస్తూ ఉన్న సిబిఐ, ప్రత్యేక న్యాయస్థానంలో అభియోగపత్రం-చార్జ్‌షీట్- దాఖలు చేసిన తరువాత యాబయి రోజులు గడచినప్పటికీ అతగాడిని అరెస్ట్ మాత్రం చేయలేదు. ఇప్పుడు, ఆస్తులను జప్తు చేసే వ్యవహారంలో కూడ ‘సిబిఐ’ నేరుగా న్యాయస్థానాన్ని అభ్యర్థించలేదు. అనుమతి కోసం రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి దరఖాస్తులు పెట్టుకొంది. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ‘సిబిఐ’ వారి అభ్యర్థనను మన్నించినట్టుగా పేర్కొంటూ ఉత్తర్వులను-జిఒలను-జారీ చేసిందట. నిజానికి ఈ ప్రహసనం అవసరం లేదు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వంతో నిమిత్తం లేకుండా ‘సిబిఐ’ ‘జప్తు అనుమతి కోసం’ న్యాయస్థానంలోనే ‘పిటిషన్’ దాఖలు చేసి ఉండవచ్చు.
గత మార్చిలో అభియోగపత్రం దాఖలు అయిన వెంటనే జగన్‌ను సిబిఐ అరెస్ట్ చేయలేదు. అలా చేసినట్టయితే జగన్ పట్ల సానుభూతి పెల్లుబుకి వోటర్లు తమకు వ్యతిరేకంగా మారుతారన్న భయం అధికార రాజకీయవేత్తలను ఆవహించింది. అందువల్ల సుదీర్ఘకాలంపాటు జగన్‌కు వ్యతిరేకంగా వివిధ ఆరోపణలను వెలికి తీయడం వాటి ప్రాతిపదికగా అతగాడి పట్ల ప్రజల్లో ‘అసహ్యం’ కలిగించడం ప్రభుత్వ నిర్వాహకుల వ్యూహంగా మారింది. ఎనబయి గదుల ఇల్లు జగన్ నిర్మించుకొన్నాడట! ఒకేసారి ఐదారు పడక గదులలో అతగాడు నిదురబోతాడా? ఒకేసారి ఏడెనిమిది స్నానాల గదులను ఉపయోగించుకుంటాడా? ఇలాంటి చవకబారు ప్రశ్నలను ముఖ్యమంత్రి వంటి ఉన్నత పదవిని నిర్వహిస్తున్నవారు, నిర్వహించిన వారు సంధించడం ఈ ‘వ్యూహం’లో భాగం! అయితే ఈ వ్యూహం న్యాయ ప్రక్రియ పరంగాను, ఇతరత్రాను బెడిసి కొట్టడం ఆరంభమైంది. ‘సాక్షి’ పత్రికను ‘్ఛనల్’కు వాణిజ్య ప్రకటనలను జారీ చేయడం నిలిపి వేయాలన్న ప్రభుత్వపు ఉత్తరువు హైకోర్టు తాత్కాలికంగా రద్దు చేయడం ఈ బెడిసి కొడుతుందనడానికి సంకేతం! అలాగే సిబిఐ, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలకు వ్యతిరేకంగా కలం వీరులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున గళమెత్తడం కూడ ప్రభుత్వ నిర్వాహకులు ఊహించని పరిణామం. వాస్తవానికి జగన్‌ను అరెస్టు చేసినట్టయితే ఉప ఎన్నికల ఫలితాలు తమకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఉంటాయన్నది అధికార పక్షం వారికి మాత్రమే కాదు, ప్రతిపక్షాలలోని జగన్ ప్రత్యర్ధులను కూడ పీడిస్తోంది! అందువల్ల అతగాడిని సాధ్యమైనంత ఎక్కువకాలం బయటనే ఉంచి ‘త్రిశంకు’ భావనకు గురి చేయాలన్నది ‘అధికార పథకం’! కానీ ఈ త్రిశంకు రాజకీయం జగన్ ప్రత్యర్థుల భవిష్యత్తును మాత్రమే ‘త్రిశంకు’ స్థితికి గురిచేస్తుండడం వర్తమాన వైపరీత్యం!
In 1978, when Chandrababu Naidu became MLA for the first time, he was owning just two-acre land in Naravaripalle village in his native Chittoor district. He did not own even a car and, infact, his first car, an Ambassdor was gifted by his father-in-law late chief minister NT Rama Rao. From here, till 2004 before he was ousted by the Congress in the hustings, Chandrababu earned thousands of crores through dubious means.
When Chandrababu entered politics his father, owner of two acre land, was ekingout his livelihood by farming. His mother used to support the family by selling milk and curd in the surrounding villages of Naravaripalle. His brother, Rammurthy Naidu, a former MLA, used to repair electric motors.
After his father-in-law NT Rama Rao became chief minister, Chandrababu had set up Bhuvaneswari Carbides in 1984-85, but that turned out to be a mis-adventure.
In 1988, Chandrababu’s annual income was Rs 36,000 and in a decade it went up to Rs 19.29 crore. Chandrababu, in a document submitted to Company Law Authorities claimed that he had no businesses. Then, how did he earn crores of rupees is a big question. In the affivadit submitted to Election Commission in 2009, Chandrababu declared that his wife and he together have assets worth Rs 51 crore.
There is nothing new in the “friendship” between politicians and corporate world. But, why did Chandrababu drag late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his son YS Jaganmohan Reddy into the corporate war between two mining companies? Why is he spitting venom against the late chief minister’s son?
In 2004, people taught Chandrababu a lesson by showing him his place when he tried to describe Rajasekhara Reddy a factionist? In 2009, he talked about so-called corruption, but people did not believe him. With the untimely and unfortunate death of Rajasekhara Reddy, Chandrababu believed that the field is wide open to him. But, the unstinted support of masses to Jaganmohan Reddy is driving the TDP president crazy. Unable to digest this, Chandrababu and his media syndicate is now desperately trying to malign the image of Jaganmohan Reddy.
His nine-year rule as chief minister (1995 to 2004) was a saga of corruption. He never ordered CBI inquiry into any of the scams that surfaced during his regime as he was a direct beneficiary. His present friend and foe in 2004 elections, CPM in a conservative assessment estimated that the scams during TDP regime would worth Rs 12,367 crore. There could be another Rs 10,000 crore worth scams, which could not be exposed. He always relied on Gobellsian propaganda in promoting his image and to cover up his follies.
Here just a tip of his corruption ice berg.
LIQUOR SCAM: One of the major scams of Chandrababu Naidu was the liquor scam in which Rs 600 crore tax payers money was paid to three liquor manufacturing companies in excess between 1997 and 2000. State Vigilance and Enforcement Department gave a detailed report on how Babu regime bent the rules to favour the three companies and how others were denied sale in AP. (In fact The Hindu then wrote a front page piece on the scam too). An important file pertaining to the scam was literally consigned to flames by Chandrababu, who later went on to obtain a stay from the High Court on technical grounds so that he would not be examined.
YELERU SCAM: Unprecedented corruption took place in land acquisition and compensation to the displaced in Yeleru canal works. Role of a judge and several TDP leaders was alleged in the scam worth Rs 100 crore. Court even faulted four senior IAS officers, but Babu regime did not take any action against them. Justice Somasekhara Commission could not complete the inquiry as Babu and his men created several legal hurdles for it making it impossible for the commission to function.
MANGANESE MINES LEASE: Chandrababu government leased out 223.84 acre manganese mines in Vizianagaram district to SK Swaragi & Co in February 2001. Interestingly, the same mines were leased to AP Mineral Development Corporation in 1999 for a period of 10 years. To help Swaragi, the state government cancelled the lease agreement with APMDC. Obviously money changed hands in the deal.
LAND ALLOCATION TO IMG BHARATHA: This is the biggest of all scams. Though being a care-taker chief minister, Chandrababu allocated 400 acres land in the prime Gachibowli locality in Hyderabad at Rs 50,000 per acre as against the market value of over Rs 2 crore per acre. This land belonged to the University of Hyderabad. Chandrababu played a key role in chosing Billi Rao and Prabhakar Rao, in the scam and used them as a front to siphon away money.
L&T: L&T had been Chandrababu’s pet company. Within four days of swearing-in as chief minister on Sept 1, 1995, Chandrababu allotted 148 acre land in the upmarket Madhapur area to L&T. Within one year, he allocated another 18 acres and subsequently another 78 acres had been allocated to the company. The then joint collector submitted a report to the state government stating that about 100 acres land had been encroached upon by L&T. But, the report was swept under the carpet.
RAHEJA IT PARK: 100 acres land was allotted to Raheja IT Park for peanuts in the costly Madhapur area. About Rs 50 crore changed hands in the deal.
EMMAR PROPERTIES: Chandrababu allotted 700 acre land to EMMAR Properties at throw away price. Congress party leveled serious allegations of corruption in the deal and demanded a CBI probe. But, true to his style, he never agreed for a probe into the deal. Violating all conditions, EMMAR Properties divided the land into plots and sold them. Surprisingly, Chandrababu’s daughter-in-law also owns a plot in EMMAR Properties.
KAKINADA PORT: Chandrababu entered into a deal with the then Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohammed. His son Farzan Ahmed floated Kokanada Sea Ports and here too L&T joined the consortium. Besides, some TDP leaders also joined the projects and it is no secret that they were Chandrababu benamis. The TDP regime allocated 168 acres at throw away price. In return, Mahathir Mohammed facilitated Chandrababu’s investments in hospitality industry in Malaysia.
HERITAGE FOODS: This is family concern set up near Chandragiri in his native Chittoor district. It would have been an ordinary business not drawing anyone’s attention, but for the fact that Chandrababu made amendments to the dairy policy in the state. The amendments were such that they suited Heritage Foods while badly hitting the cooperative dairy sector. The classic case is the prestigious Chittoor Dairy which was floored by Chandrababu to the benefit of his company.
While other dairies in the state increased milk procurement price due to shortfall in milk production, Chittoor dairy was forced to reduce the milk procurement price. As a result, farmers in Chittoor district sold milk to Heritage Foods for better price. In 1994-95, Chittoor dairy milk procurement has come come down to 76,000 litres per day from two lakh litres. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams too stopped buying ghee from Chittoor dairy resulting in a loss of revenue of Rs 1.3 crore per month. Milk supply to Chennai and Bangalore was also stopped and Chittoor dairy was bleeding to death.
Though National Dairy Development Board came forward to revive Chittoor dairy, Chandrababu government refused to chip in with 50 per cent contribution. That was the final nail in the coffin. Chittoor dairy was closed while Heritage was earning fat profits. The Dairy was revived only after Congress returned to power in 2004.
The other dimension to the Heritage Scam is floating of several benami companies by Chandrababu &Co. Obviously, these are unlisted companies and shares worth Rs 1.32 crore in the name of his wife Bhuvaneswari are in these companies. There is no way one can examine where-all these unlisted companies invested and their worth. At the same time, there is a need to expose the volume of unclaimed deposits in Margadarsi. There are allegations that Chandrababu has a major stake in the unclaimed deposits.
DUPING THE INVESTORS: Heritage Foods, a listed company had 3 acre land in Madhapur, which is worth Rs 100 crore. To grab the land, Chandrababu floated Heritage Infra, a subsidiary company. In this company, Chandrababu’s wife has 28 per cent stake while his benami Nagaraju Naidu has 21 per cent. Susequently, the Rs 100 crore worth land of Heritage Foods was transferred to Heritage Infra for a mere Rs 2.73 crore and thus duped the investors of their share. Once the operation was completed, Heritage Foods withdrew its 51 per cent stake from Heritage Infra and the same was bought over by Sri Chakra Merchandising Limited for Rs 35.69 crore. This is a benami company of Chandrababu’s frontman Sujana Chowdhry. That is how, Chandrababu transferred investors money into his pocket.
GMR AIRPORT: Chandrababu allocated 5,500 acre to GMR for the construction of airport at Shamshabad. Using his clout in the NDA government, Chandrababu extended various concessions to GMR. Besides, Chandrababu and his gang purchased huge tracts of land in the vicinity of airport and made profits. Initially, he conspired to have the airport near Ramoji Film City so that his “media guru” would be benefited, but central government turned down the proposal. He also unsuccessfuly tried to convince GMR to make L&T a stake holder in the airport.
KAKINADA SEZ: Kakinada SEZ is another major scam of Chandrababu. Much hype was created by TDP regime that ONGC would be part of the SEZ. After money changed hands, the location of Kakinada SEZ was changed to benefit the real estate lobby and also to the SEZ promoters. Role of TDP leaders was strongly suspected in the deals and obviously Chandrababu has benami holdings in the project.
ASSOCIATION WITH SATYAM: Scam tainted Satyam Computers had been Chandrababu’s blue-eyed company. The TDP president turned his back on Satyam soon after the scam surfaced. He even deleted from the NTR Trust website the details about Rs 1 crore donation given by Satyam benami companies. It is a fact that Chandrababu held a secret meeting with Ramalingaraju a few days before the tainted CEO of Satyam surrendered. Till date, Chandrababu is yet to come clean on the allegations that Satyam funded Rs 23 crore for his son’s education in Carngie Milan University.
GANGAVARAM PORT: Chandrababu allocated 1800 acre to New Wave Securities and Industrial Credits Limited consoritum for developing Gangavaram Port. There are allegations that scam tainted Satyam invested in New Wave. There is no secret about the friendship between Chandrababu and Ramalingaraju. The former chief minister himself should reveal how many crores changed hands in the deals.
INDIA CEMENTS: This is another company on whic Chandrababu showered his blessings. By extending tax concessions, Chandrababu is alleged to have benefited the company to the tune of Rs 150 crore. Can Chandrababu come clean in this episode?
POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT SCAM: It is not only a major scam but imposed constant burden on the state exchequer. Without even knowing whether the state would be able to supply gas to private power producers, Chandrababu government entered into power purchase agreements with Gouthami, GVK, Konaseema and Vemagiri. The Independent Power Producers were assured of fixed tariff on the pretext that Reliance gas would be available by the time they go for power production.
Chandrababu Naidu government even agreed to pay Rs 1020 crore annually if the assured gas is not available. He even made the four IPPs to enter into an MoU with Reliance. “Alternate fuel” clause was also included in the PPA, which would obviously burden distribution companies. With the non-availability of gas, the IPPs demanded that the State government pay fixed charges as per the PPAs. Despite repeated allegations of largescale corruption in the PPAs, Chandrababu never dared to come clean on the issue.
It was only after Rajasekhara Reddy became chief minister, negotiations were held with IPPs and the “alternate fuel” clause was removed. A high-level committee was also constituted for review of the PPAs. The claim of IPPs for Rs 900 crore fixed tariff compensation is pending before the High Court.
RELIANCE GAS: Despite knowing about the invauluable gas deposits in Krishna-Godavari basin, Chandrababu observed a “strategic silence”. While Reliance and Gujarat state government participated in the bidding for gas reserves, Chandrababu looked the other way. Why did Chandrababu remained indifferent? Is it not true that Chandrababu did so to benefit Reliance? Is it not a fact that it was only during the regime of late Rajasekhara Reddy that the state government initiated efforts for claiming rights over the gas reserves?
KRISHNAPATNAM PORT: Krishnapatnam Port was given to Natco by Chandrababu regime. What is the benefit that Babu got from the deal?
I feel saddened that in over five years of YSR rule, while he had full support from the central government throughout his term as a CM, nothing was done to bring this scamster to justice.
It is a sin to misuse power and arrest and seize the properties of completely unrelated persons like Sunil Reddy but to bring to justice scamsters like this Babu and recover the losses to the treasury is the duty of the elected governments/leaders.

The euphoria is evident on the streets of Ongole town with YSRCP president Jagan launching a
whirlwind tour of the town, seeking votes for his party candidate and former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.
Jagan revived his poll campaign on the second day here right on dot. The government’s bid nail him on
various counts seems to be adding to his advantage. The mood of the people is evident. They wanted the son
of the messiah of welfare State, Rajasekhara Reddy back as the king.
Whether one likes it or not, each family in villages was benefitted by one scheme or the other of the welfare schemes launched
under the tenure of YSR. People thronged on to the streets in hordes and started accompanying him in his vote seeking mission.He has
covered Balram colony, Papa colony, Nehru colony, Bharat colony by afternoon. He is empathizing with the people in his inimitable
style by various gestures like hugging them affectionately, patting them, taking tiny tots into his arms and sometimes planting an affectionate kiss.
He is asking the people to teach the Congress party a fitting lesson for victimizing him in various forms for being steadfastly adhering to
certain values. And people seem to believe his words. The tag of corruption is also not sticking to him.
“Who is not,” seems to be the bottomline statement from the people, who have become wiser in the long history of Indian democracy.

హైదరాబాద్, మే 20: కడప లోక్సభ సభ్యుడు, వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ అధినేత జగన్మోహన్రెడ్డి అక్రమ ఆస్తుల కేసులో అరెస్టుల పర్వం ఎక్కడ ముగుస్తుందో తెలియని అయోమయ గందరగోళ పరిస్థితిలో మంత్రుల్లో అంతర్మథనం మొదలైంది. అక్రమ ఆస్తుల కేసులో జగన్‌ను అరెస్టు చేసినట్లయితే కొందరు మంత్రులు కూడా అరెస్టుకాక తప్పదన్న విషయం దాదాపు తేలడంతో ఆందోళన ఆరంభమైంది. ఒక్క వ్యక్తిని దెబ్బ తీసేందుకు ఇంతమందిని బలి చేయాలా? అని వారు ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు. జగన్ అక్రమ ఆస్తుల కేసులో ఇప్పటికే కొందరు అరెస్టుకాగా, త్వరలోనే మరికొందరు అరెస్టు అయ్యే అవకాశాలు ఉన్నాయి. రానున్న రోజుల్లో అరెస్టు కానున్న వారి జాబితాలో జగన్‌తోపాటు కొందరు మంత్రులు, ఐఏఎస్ అధికారులు కూడా ఉన్నట్టు సిబిఐ వర్గాలు చెబుతున్నాయి.
అక్రమ ఆస్తుల కేసు జగన్, మహా అయితే ఒకరిద్దరు ఐఏఎస్ అధికారులకే పరిమితం కావచ్చునని మొదట అనుకున్నారు. కేసులో తమ జోలికి రాక పోవచ్చునని మంత్రులు కొందరు అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. తమ విషయాన్ని హైకమాండే చూసుకుంటుందని అనుకున్నారు. అయితే ఇపుడు తమవరకు వస్తుండటంతో వారిలో ఆందోళన ఆరంభమైంది. సుప్రీంకోర్టు నోటీసులు జారీ చేసిన మంత్రులేకాకుండా, వీటితో సంబంధం లేని మంత్రులు సైతం జగన్ వ్యహారాన్ని ‘కోతి పుండు బ్రహ్మ రాక్షసి’ చందాన అధిష్ఠాన వర్గం చేస్తోందని విమర్శిస్తున్నారు.
అక్రమ ఆస్తుల కేసులో వైఎస్ హయాంలో ప్రభుత్వంతో ఏమాత్రం సంబంధం లేని జగన్‌ను అరెస్టు చేసినట్లయితే, అప్పటి ప్రభుత్వంలో మంత్రులుగా పని చేసి కీలక నిర్ణయాల్లో భాగస్వాములైన వారినీ అరెస్టు చేయక తప్పదన్న వాదన ఆరంభమైంది. ఈ కేసులో మంత్రులపై కూడా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలన్న డిమాండ్ ప్రతిపక్షాల నుంచే కాకుండా స్వపక్షం నుంచీ రావడం కాంగ్రెస్ నాయకత్వాన్ని ఇరకాటంలో పెట్టింది. మొత్తం వ్యవహారం ఎటుతిరిగినా కాంగ్రెస్ మెడకే తగులుతుందని, దీనివల్ల కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రతిష్టే దెబ్బతింటుందని కొందరు మంత్రులు అభిప్రాయపడుతున్నారు. జగన్ వ్యవహారాన్ని అసలు ఇంతవరకు తీసుకురావడమే తప్పని వారంటున్నారు. కాంగ్రెస్ పరిస్థితి ముల్లు అరిటాకు చందాన ఉందని మాజీ మంత్రి, పార్టీ సీనియర్ ఒకరు వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. జగన్‌ను అరెస్టు చేసినట్లయితే ప్రజల్లో ఆయన పట్ల సానుభూతి మరింత పెరుగుతుంది. అదే మంత్రుల్ని అరెస్టు చేసినట్లయితే కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రతిష్ట దెబ్బ తింటుంది. కాంగ్రెస్ వారు అవినీతిపరులని ప్రచారం చేసేందుకు ప్రతిపక్షాలకు అస్త్రాన్ని ఇచ్చినట్లవుతుంది. మంత్రుల అరెస్టుల్ని నిలుపుదల చేయాలంటే జగన్ అరెస్టును నివారించాలి. దీనివల్ల జగన్‌పై కాంగ్రెస్ వేధింపు చర్యలకు పాల్పడుతోందని ప్రచారం చేస్తే అది జగన్‌కు అనుకూలం, కాంగ్రెస్‌కు ప్రతికూలంగా మారుతుంది’ అని కాంగ్రెస్ వర్గాలు విశే్లషిస్తున్నాయి.
జగన్‌ను రాజకీయంగా దెబ్బ తీయాలంటే పారిశ్రామికవేత్తల్ని, ఐఏఎస్ అధికారుల్ని, మంత్రుల్ని కూడా ఇంతమందిని అరెస్టు చేయాల్సి రావడం అన్ని రకాలుగా కాంగ్రెస్‌కు దెబ్బేనని ఆ పార్టీ వర్గాలు అంటున్నాయి. వైఎస్ ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకున్న నిర్ణయాలు తప్పని భావిస్తే వాటిని రద్దు చేసి ఆయా సంస్థలకు కేటాయించిన భూముల్ని వెనక్కి తీసుకుంటే సరిపోయేదని వారు అభిప్రాయపడుతున్నారు. జగన్ అవినీతిపరుడైతే ఆయన తండ్రి దివంగత ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్, ఆయన మంత్రివర్గంలో పని చేసిన వారు కూడా అవినీతి పరుల కిందే వస్తారని, అంటే కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం అవినీతి మయం అని అంగీకరించినట్టే కదా అని వారంటున్నారు. ఒక్క జగన్‌ను అవినీతిపరుడని నిరూపించేందుకు ప్రముఖ పారిశ్రామిక వేత్తల్ని, ఐఏఎస్ అధికారుల్ని, చివరకు సొంత మంత్రుల్ని కూడా అవినీతిపరులుగా చిత్రీకరించాల్సిన పరిస్థితిని హైకమాండ్ సృష్టించిందని కాంగ్రెస్ వర్గాలు వ్యాఖ్యానిస్తున్నాయి. పోనీ ఇంత చేసినా కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీకి రాజకీయంగా ప్రయోజనం కలుగుతుందా? అంటే అటువంటిదేమీ లేదని, జగన్ విషయంలో తీసుకునే ప్రతి నిర్ణయం అయనకే ఉపయోగపడేలా అవుతోందని అంటున్నారు. జగన్ విషయంలో అతిగా వ్యవహరిస్తున్నామన్న అభిప్రాయాన్ని చివరకు అధిష్ఠానం పెద్దలు కూడా కొందరు వ్యక్తం చేస్తుండటం విశేషం.
రామోజీపై 420 కేసులెన్ని ఉన్నాయో, ఆయన ఏ కేసుల్లో ఏ కోర్టు గుమ్మం ఎక్కుతున్నారో ‘ఈనాడు’ ఎప్పుడూ ప్రచురించనే లేదు. ఈనాడు లీజు స్థలం రోడ్డు వెడల్పులో పోతే స్థలం అసలు యజమానికి తెలియకుండా స్థలాన్ని, పరిహారాన్ని కూడా కొట్టేసిన రామోజీ.. తనపై 420 కేసు నమోదైన వార్తను ‘ఈనాడు’లో ప్రముఖంగా వేసుకుని ఉండాల్సింది. మార్గదర్శిలో కోట్ల కొద్దీ మిగిలిపోయిన అన్‌క్లెయిమ్‌డ్ డిపాజిట్లు చంద్రబాబువో లేక ఆయన బినామీలవో ఇప్పటికీ బైటపెట్టడమే లేదు. ఇలాంటివి కోకొల్లలు.
బాబుపై మాత్రం భలే ప్రేమ
యూరో లాటరీ తగిలిందంటూ జనాన్ని బురిడీ కొట్టించి, టీడీపీకి రూ.కోటి ఫండ్ సమకూర్చి, బాబు పంచన చేరిన కోలా కృష్ణమోహన్ ఉదంతం అప్పట్లో రాష్ట్రమంతటా సంచలనం సృష్టించింది. అయితేనేం…? ఆ తతంగాన్నంతా తెర వెనక నుంచి నడిపిన సూత్రధారి, పాత్రధారి నాటి హైటెక్ మాంత్రికుడైన చంద్రబాబే కావచ్చని ‘ఈనాడు’ పొరపాటుగానైనా అనుమానిస్తే ఒట్టు! స్టాంపుల కుంభకోణంలో కరీం తెల్గీకి, టీడీపీ ఉన్న అనుబంధాల గుట్టు బట్టబయలై కృష్ణయాదవ్ సహా నలుగురు మంత్రులు, ఏడుగురు ఎమ్మెల్యేల పేర్లు సదరు కుంభకోణంలో కథలు కథలుగా వచ్చినా, తెల్గీ-బాబు బంధానికి సాక్ష్యాధారాలెన్నో కళ్లెదుటే కనిపిస్తున్నా ఇదే ‘ఈనాడు’ ఒక్కటంటే ఒక్క వార్త కూడా రాయలేదేం? ఆపద్ధర్మ సీఎంగా మూడు రోజుల కంపెనీకి హైదరాబాద్ నడిబొడ్డున అత్యంత విలువైన 850 ఎకరాలను హడావిడిగా కేటాయించిన చంద్రబాబు చేతివాటంపై ‘ఈనాడు’లో ఏనాడూ చిన్న వార్తయినా వచ్చిందే లేదు. దొంగనోట్ల రామకృష్ణగౌడ్ చంద్రబాబుకు అత్యంత సన్నిహితుడని ఫొటోలతో సహా ఆధారాలు లభించినా, ‘అగ్ర నేతే’ అసలు దొంగ అయ్యుంటాడని జనానికి అనుమానం రాకుండా ‘ఈనాడు’ ఎందుకు మేనేజ్ చేయాల్సి వచ్చిందో? చంద్రబాబు సింగపూర్ హోటల్ బాగోతాలు, స్విస్ బ్యాంకులో ఆయన ఖాతాలపై అభియోగాలతో ఎర్ర పార్టీలు పుస్తకాలకు పుస్తకాలే ప్రచురించినా.. బాబు సింగపూర్ పర్యటనల్నీ, ఐరోపా యాత్రల్నీ, దుబాయ్ హాల్టుల్ని ఆ కోణంలో చూడాలని ‘ఈనాడు’కు అనిపించనేలేదు ఎందుకని? చంద్రబాబు పక్కన జేబు దొంగల నుంచి ఇంటర్నేషనల్ క్రిమినల్స్ వరకూ వందల మంది నిలబడ్డా, వాటి మతలబుల ధ్యాస పచ్చపత్రికకు ఎన్నడూ లేనే లేదెందుకని? అంతెందుకు…? లెక్కాపత్రం లేని రూ.7 కోట్ల సొమ్ముతో చంద్రబాబుకు అత్యంత సన్నిహితుడు, ఎన్నో విధాల ఆప్తుడు అయిన పేరం హరిబాబు అడ్డంగా దొరికిపోయినా.. ఆ సొమ్ము బాబుదేనని, వాహనమూ నారా వారిదేనని హరిబాబు తండ్రి రామకృష్ణ నాయుడే చెప్పినా.. అది తన పాఠకుడికి ప్రముఖంగా తెలియాల్సిన వార్తగా ‘ఈనాడు’కు కన్పించనే లేదెందుకని? ప్రజల్లోంచి పుట్టకుండా చంద్రబాబు పనులు చేసిపెట్టే పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలకు పార్టీ పదవులను, రాజ్యసభ సీట్లను కట్టబెట్టడం.. వారి మధ్య ఎలాంటి సంబంధముందని నిరూపిస్తోంది? ఎక్కడో తానా సభలో సీఎం రమేశ్, సుజనా చౌదరి, నామా నాగేశ్వరరావు అనే వ్యక్తులతో కలసి పాల్గొన్న చంద్రబాబు.. వారందరినీ ఎటూ పోనీయకుండా తన కోటరీలోనే కూర్చోబెట్టుకుంటున్నారంటే వారంతా ఆయన బినామీలే అయ్యుంటారని ‘ఈనాడు’కు ఎప్పుడూ అనుమానం రాలేదెందుకని? వాణిజ్య పన్నుల ఎగవేత సహా పలు కేసుల్లో ఉన్న సుజనా చౌదరిని పెద్దల సభకు పంపించడం ‘ఈనాడు’కు ఎన్నడూ ఎబ్బెట్టుగా కనిపించలేదెందుకని? మద్యనిషేధం అమల్లో ఉన్న రోజుల్లో చంద్రబాబు సోదరుడే మద్యం సీసాలు సరఫరా చేసేవాడని, వాటిని బాబు బాటిల్స్‌గా పిలిచేవారని ఆరోపణలొచ్చినా ‘ఈనాడు’ పట్టించుకున్న పాపాన పోలేదెందుకు? ఇవన్నీ చూసేందుకు ప్రశ్నల్లా కనిపిస్తున్నా, నిజానికి సమాధానాలు కూడా వాటిలోనే దాగున్నాయి!

న్యూఢిల్లీ: ఎనిమిదేళ్లపాటు అధికారంలో కొనసాగిన కాంగ్రెస్ నేతృత్వంలోని యూపీఏకి అవకాశాలు నానాటికీ క్షీణిస్తున్నాయా? ప్రధాన ప్రతిపక్షం బీజేపీ పుంజుకుంటోందా? ఆదివారం వెల్లడైన ఏబీపీ న్యూస్- నీల్సేన్ సర్వే ఫలితాలు అవుననే సమాధానమిస్తున్నాయి. యూపీఏ-2 ప్రభుత్వం మూడేళ్లు పూర్తి చేసుకుంటున్న నేపథ్యంలో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 28 నగరాల్లో ఏప్రిల్, మే నెలల్లో సర్వే నిర్వహించారు. ఇప్పుడు గనుక లోక్‌సభకు ఎన్నికలు జరిగితే భారతీయ జనతా పార్టీకి 28% ఓట్లు లభిస్తాయని తేలింది. కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ కేవలం 20% ఓట్లతో సరిపెట్టుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుంది. అయితే ప్రధాని మన్మోహన్‌సింగ్‌కు మంచి రేటింగే లభించింది. ఆయన పనితీరు బాగుంది/ చాలా బాగుంది అంటూ 37% మంది చెప్పారు. యూపీఏ ప్రభుత్వ పనితీరుకు సంబంధించిన రేటింగ్ మాత్రం 2.95 సగటు స్కోరుతో కాస్త క్షీణించింది. గత ఏడాది సగటు స్కోరు 3.22గా ఉంది.
అవినీతికి మారు పేరు
ఇదిలావుండగా స్వాతంత్య్రానంతరం ఇదే పెద్ద అవినీతి ప్రభుత్వంగా 57% మంది అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. అవినీతి నిరోధానికి ప్రభుత్వం తక్షణమే చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని 25% మంది కోరారు. పెరుగుతున్న ఆహారం, పెట్రోల్ ధరలను పర్యవేక్షించేందుకు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని 24% మంది విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. దేశంలోకెల్లా ఉత్తమ నేత విషయంలో గుజరాత్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి నరేంద్రమోడీ (17%) .. ప్రధాని మన్మోహన్‌సింగ్ (16%) కంటే ఒక శాతం ఎక్కువ ఓట్లతో పోటాపోటీగా నిలవడం విశేషం. ఈ విషయంలో గత ఏడాది 19% ఓట్లు పొందిన రాహుల్‌గాంధీ ఈసారి 13% ఓట్లతో వెనుకబడ్డారు. యూపీఏ చైర్‌పర్సన్ సోనియాగాంధీ స్కోరు 14% నుంచి 9 శాతానికి దిగజారింది.

ఒంగోలు, మే 19: మండుటెండను సైతం లెక్కచేయకుండా వైఎస్ఆర్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ అధినేత వైఎస్ జగన్మోహన్రెడ్డి ఒంగోలు నియోజకవర్గంలో నిర్వహించిన రోడ్ షోకు జనం నీరాజనాలు పలికారు. ప్రధానంగా ఒంగోలు నగరంలోని ప్రధాన రహదారులన్నీ ప్రజలతో కిక్కిరిసిపోయాయి. మోటారుసైకిళ్ళ ర్యాలీలతో యువత కేరింతలు కొట్టారు. కాబోయే ముఖ్యమంత్రి జగన్ అంటూ కార్యకర్తలు నినాదాల హోరెత్తించారు. దీంతో వైఎస్ఆర్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ శ్రేణుల్లో ఉత్సాహం ఉరకలేసింది. ముందుగా ఒంగోలులోని సాయిబాబా గుడిలో జగన్ ప్రత్యేక పూజలు నిర్వహించిన తరువాత రోడ్ షో ప్రారంభించారు. ఒంగోలు నియోజకవర్గ కాంగ్రెస్ అభ్యర్ధి బాలినేని శ్రీనివాసరెడ్డి విజయాన్ని కాంక్షిస్తూ ఒంగోలు నియోజకవర్గంలో జగన్మోహన్రెడ్డి రోడ్ షో నిర్వహించారు. ఉదయం పది గంటలకు ప్రారంభం కావల్సిన రోడ్ షో 11.15 గంటలకు ప్రారంభమైంది. ఎర్రటి ఎండను సైతం లెక్కచేయకుండా జగన్ తన ప్రసంగాన్ని ఈతముక్కల, మడనూరు, చెర్వుకొమ్ముపాలెం, యరజర్ల గ్రామాల్లో కొనసాగించారు. జగన్ ప్రసంగాల్లో కొత్త ఒరవడి కనిపించింది. కళ్ళజోడు పెట్టుకున్న అవ్వ, పచ్చచీర కట్టుకున్న అవ్వ, బ్లూచీర కట్టుకున్న అవ్వ, పంచె కట్టుకున్న తాతా అంటూ జగన్ తన తొలి ప్రసంగంలో కొనసాగించి ముసలివారిని ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. కొత్తపట్నం మండలం మడనూరులో ఒక అవ్వను, చిన్నారిని ముద్దాడారు. ఒంగోలులోని చర్చి సెంటర్ వద్ద సాయంత్రం ఐదు గంటలకు రోడ్ షో ప్రారంభం కావల్సి ఉండగా రాత్రి 7.45 గంటలకు ప్రారంభమైనప్పటికీ ప్రజలు మాత్రం వేలాది సంఖ్యలో తరలివచ్చారు. జగన్ ప్రసంగాన్ని వినేందుకు ప్రతిఒక్కరూ ఆసక్తి కనబరిచారు. చర్చి సెంటర్ నుండి తిరిగి రోడ్ షో నగరంలోని పాతమార్కెట్ సెంటరు, సెయింట్ జేవియర్స్ దగ్గరలోని పెట్రోలు బంకు వద్ద ఏర్పాటుచేసిన వైఎస్ఆర్ విగ్రహం, మంగమూరు డొంకలోని వైఎస్ఆర్ విగ్రహం వరకు సాగింది. ముందుగా కొత్తపట్నం మండలం సంకువానిగుంట వద్ద ఉన్న వైఎస్ఆర్ విగ్రహానికి జగన్ పూలమాల వేసి ఘనంగా నివాళులర్పించారు. తన తండ్రి వైఎస్ఆర్ పేరును జగన్ ఉచ్ఛరించిన సమయంలో ప్రజల నుండి విశేష స్పందన లభించింది. ప్రధానంగా తన తండ్రి హయాంలో చేపట్టిన సంక్షేమ పథకాలను ప్రజలకు వివరిస్తూనే మరొకపక్క తెలుగుదేశం, కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలపై నిప్పులు చెరిగారు. రెండు ఎకరాల ఆసామి చంద్రబాబు ప్రస్తుతం వేలకోట్ల రూపాయలకు ఏవిధంగా అధిపతి అయ్యారని ప్రశ్నించారు. తన తండ్రి హయాంలో చేపట్టిన 108, 104, రాజీవ్ ఆరోగ్యశ్రీ, ఫీజు రీయింబర్స్‌మెంటు పథకాలు మూలనపడ్డాయని ధ్వజమెత్తారు. 108 అంబులెన్స్‌లు సగానికి సగం మరమ్మతుల్లో ఉన్నాయని ఆరోపించారు. తన తండ్రి మృతి చెందిన తరువాత పేదవాడికి ఒక్క ఇంటిని కూడా నిర్మించలేని దుస్థితిలో కిరణ్ సర్కారు ఉందని ధ్వజమెత్తారు. తనపై జరుగుతున్న సిబిఐ కుట్రను ప్రజలకు తెలియచెప్పే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. ఢిల్లీ పెద్దలకు లొంగలేదు కాబట్టి తనపై సిబిఐ విచారణ జరుగుతోందని, అదే టిడిపి అధినేత చంద్రబాబు మాత్రం కేంద్ర మంత్రి చిదంబరాన్ని కలిసినందువల్లే సిబిఐ విచారణ లేదని దుయ్యబట్టారు. ఎన్నాళ్ళు బతికామన్నది కాదు ఎలా బతికామన్నదే ముఖ్యమని ప్రజలకు వివరించారు. అదేవిధంగా రైతాంగాన్ని ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. రాష్టవ్య్రాప్తంగా లక్ష ఎకరాల్లో క్రాప్ హాలిడే ప్రకటించారన్నారు. రైతులకు గిట్టుబాటు ధర కల్పించలేని దుస్థితిలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఉందని ఆరోపించారు. ఇదిలాఉండగా మార్టూరు, చీరాల మాజీ శాసనసభ్యులు గొట్టిపాటి రవికుమార్, పాలేటి రామారావులు జగన్ సమక్షంలో పార్టీ తీర్ధం పుచ్చుకున్నారు. అదేవిధంగా ప్రజారాజ్యం పార్టీ మహిళా విభాగం మాజీ అధ్యక్షురాలు సజ్జా హేమలత కూడా వారితో తీర్ధం పుచ్చుకున్నారు.
మొత్తంమీద జగన్ పర్యటన పూర్తిస్థాయిలో విజయవంతం కావటంతో ఆ పార్టీ శ్రేణుల్లో నూతనోత్తేజం నెలకొంది.

…………..Though nobody can question the government to appoint a DGP rank officer as the ACB chief, one wonders why it has chosen only Prasada Rao.
The answer to this question is simple: Prasada Rao had been the Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) till the other day. And he was directly answerable to Transport Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana.
And the ACB had been particularly targeting Botsa’s liquor syndicates in Vizianagaram district and Boobathi Babu was almost getting ready to arrest Botsa in the liquor scam. So, Botsa had no other option to see that an officer loyal to him is posted in the ACB in order to save his skin. And there is no better person than Prasada Rao, who was working in his department, to head the ACB. That is how Prasada Rao could make it to the top post in the ACB. All is well that ends well for Botsa!

YSRCP should get ready to make alternate arrangements for campaigning; like make (NEW) videos of Jagan’s attacking and emotional speeches and use them in every village and mandal level campaign meetings, in case if he is arrested..!!
The move by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to accuse the Congress-Telugu Desam of conspiring to arrest him and then foment trouble in Andhra Pradesh and use that as a pretext to postpone the byelections scheduled for June 12, is clever political strategy. What he has done is to create a win-win situation for himself because if he is indeed arrested, he can say, I told you so and if he is not, he gains any way. He is succeeding in creating public opinion that he is number one and that his two political rivals are ganging up against him.
There is already a lot of talk in Andhra Pradesh about whether he will be arrested before or on May 28, the day he is scheduled to appear before the CBI court. The Congress government, in my opinion, messed up by freezing the accounts of Jagan’s media group. It was a futile exercise, one that only gave him oxygen of publicity. New Delhi: The Comptroller and Auditor Generals final report on allocation of coal blocks between 2004 and 2009 without auction is expected to peg the value of undue benefits that the government extended to private entities alone at more than Rs 1.8 lakh crore,sources have indicated.
The last draft of the report,first reported by TOI on March 22,had said the government extended undue benefits of Rs 10.67 lakh crore by giving away 155 mines to 100 commercial entities,including public sector bodies,without bidding since 2004.
The government auditor has brought down the value of undue benefits by taking out public sector and state government entities from the final report and focusing only on private ventures.
This was done at the coal ministrys behest,which argued during the exit conference that public sector entities are audited separately.But even at the reduced level,the value of undue benefit to coal block allottees is higher than the outer limit of the Rs 1.76 lakh crore-loss estimated by CAG in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
Besides,removal of public sector and state entities from the final report would mean the entire undue benefit of over Rs 1.8 lakh crore has accrued to private entities alone.The content of the final report can still cause further discomfort to a government already reeling under allegations of corruption,sleaze and crony capitalism.
Sources said the report has been lying with the government since May 11 and may be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday,the last day of the Budget session of the House.

అక్రమ పెట్టుబడులతో జగన్ సాక్షి దినపత్రికను పెట్టాడని చంద్రబాబు ఆయన అనుంగు మిత్రులు రామోజీ రావు , రాధాకృష్ణ లు ఒకటే గొంతు చించు కొంటున్నారు. ఇంతకీ వారేమన్న నీతిమంతులా అంటే అదికాదు. ఒక్క విషయం మాట్లాడదాం, సాక్షి పెట్టేంతవరకు తెలుగు జర్నలిస్టులు ఈనాడు పత్రికలో గాదిదచాకిరీ చేసే పనివారు . ఒకరకంగా రామోజిరావుకు కొన్ని వనేలమంది కొన్నేళ్ళపాటు వెట్టి చేసారు. సాక్షి వచినతరువాత వారికి కొంత గౌరవం దక్కింది. వారూ ఉద్యోగస్తులే అన్న భావన ప్రజల్లో కలిగింది. చాలామంది సాక్షి పత్రిక వచ్చినందుకు సంతోషించారు. కేవలం ఒక్క చంద్రబాబు, రామోజీరావు, రాధాకృష్ణ లు తప్ప. ఇదేదో నేను వారిమీద కక్ష కట్టి కావాలని రాయడం లేదు. ఈనాడు పేపర్లో పెళ్ళాం పిల్లలను గూడ పట్టించుకోకుండా గాదిదచ్చాకిరీ చేసిన ఒకడిగా రాస్తున్నాను. సాక్షి వచ్చిన తరువాత పెద్ద పెద్ద జీతాలు ఇవ్వాల్సి వచిందే నాన్న మంటతో రామోజీరావు ఉన్నాడు. దానికి ఏదో విధంగా మద్దతు ఇస్తేనే చంద్రబాబు మనుగడ. లేకుంటే ఇంతే సంగతులు. మార్గదర్శిని అడ్డంపెట్టుకొని అడ్డగోలుగా ప్రజలనుంచి వెలది కోట్లు దండుకొంటే దానిపై ప్రభుత్వం కాసు పెడితే అది పత్రికా స్వేచ మీద దాడిగా చంద్రబాబు గొంతు సిన్చుకొన్నాడు.
ఆయన వేలాది ఎకరాలు పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలకు ఇచ్చి పరిశ్రమలను ప్రోచాహిస్తే అది డెవెలప్మెంట్. వేరేవాళ్ళు ఇస్తే అది అవినీతి. కేవలం ఒక సాక్షి పత్రికను పెట్టినందుకు చంద్రబాబు, రామోజీరావు, రాధాకృష్ణ అడ్డగోలు రాతలు రాసి రాస్త్రాసాన్ని ఎంత బ్రస్టు పట్టిసున్నారు? దీనిని చూస్తూ పనికిమాలిన కాంగ్రెస్స్ నేతలు ఎంతగా అభినందిస్తున్నారూ. నిజంగా తెలుగు వారికి దొరికిన ఈ పనికిమాలిన నేతల గురించి ఎంత బాధ పడాలో గదా?
ఈ నెల ఇరవై ఎనిమిదోతేదీన వై.ఎస్.ఆర్.కాంగ్రెస్ అద్యక్షుడు జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డి సిబిఐ కోర్టుకు స్వయంగా హాజరు కావాలని కోర్టు స్పష్టం చేసింది. జగన్ తరపు న్యాయవాది ఈ విషయమై సిబిఐ కోర్టును వివరణ అడిగారు. జగన్ స్వయంగా హాజరు కావాలా? లేక ఆయన తరపు న్యాయవాది హాజరు అయినా సరిపోతుందా? అని లాయర్ అడిగారు. దానికి సిబిఐ కోర్టు స్పష్టంగా జగన్ హాజరు కావాలని చెప్పింది.

త్వరలో జరుగనున్న శాసనసభ ఉప ఎన్నికల కోసం వైఎస్ఆర్ కాంగ్రెస్ తరపున ‘కేంద్ర దర్యాప్తు విభాగం-సిబిఐ-వారు భారీ ఎత్తున ప్రచారం నిర్వహిస్తుండడం సమకాలీన రాజకీయ వైచిత్రి. ఆ పార్టీ అధినాయకుడు, జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డిపై దాఖలైన అభియోగాలు ప్రాతిపదికగా సిబిఐ వారు అత్యంత ఆర్భాటంగా కొనసాగిస్తున్న ‘న్యాయ’ ప్రక్రియ ఇందుకు నిదర్శనం. ‘సిబిఐ’కి స్వతంత్రంగా నిలబడగల కాళ్ళున్నాయనిగాని, నిష్పక్షపాతంగా వీక్షించగల కళ్ళున్నాయనిగాని ఎవరూ భావించడం లేదు. ఆ సంస్థ పనితీరుకు సంబంధించిన చారిత్రక నేపథ్యం గురించి తెలిసిన వారికి దాని ‘స్వతంత్ర ప్రతిపత్తి’పై ఆవగింజంత అనుమానం కూడ లేదు! కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ రాజకీయ నిర్వాహకులు సిబిఐ మాధ్యమంగా ఈ జగన్ వ్యతిరేక తతంగాన్ని నడిపిస్తున్నారన్నది పసిపిల్లలకు సైతం అవగతమైపోతున్న అతి రహస్యం! సిబిఐ వారి ‘దర్యాప్తు’నకు ‘చర్యల’కు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఇతోధిక సహకారం అందిస్తుందనడం న్యాయ ప్రక్రియను వెక్కిరిస్తున్న మరో వికృత వాస్తవం. జగన్మోహన రెడ్డి అక్రమాలకు అవినీతికి పాల్పడలేదని కాని, పాపపు సొమ్మును మూటలు కట్టలేదని కాని విశ్వసించడం, విశ్వసించలేకపోవడం వేరే సంగతి. కానీ రాజశేఖర రెడ్డి మరణం తరువాత జగన్ రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ అధికార పక్షంలోనే కొనసాగి ఉంటే, రాజకీయ పరమైన అత్యాశలను ఆవిష్కరిచకపోయి ఉండినట్టయితే ‘సిబిఐ’ వారి చేత కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ నిర్వాహకులు ఈ ‘కాండ’ను జరిపించి ఉండేవారా? అన్నది అందరికీ సమాధానం తెలిసిన ప్రశ్న! అవినీతిపరులపై అభియోగాలను దాఖలు చేసిన తరువాత న్యాయస్థానాల అనుమతితో దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలు నిందితుల వ్యక్తిగతమైన ఆస్తులను జప్తు చేయవచ్చు. కానీ నిందితులు నిర్వహిస్తున్న సంస్థలు పనిచేయకుండా స్తంభింప చేయడానికి, వాటిని మూసివేయించడానికి దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలు ప్రయత్నించినట్టు సమకాలంలో దాఖలాలు లేవు. కాని ‘సాక్షి’, ‘ఇందిరా’ ప్రచార మాధ్యమాలు మూత పడానికి వలసిన చర్యలను ‘సిబిఐ’ ప్రారంభించడం ‘చట్టం’ పేరుతో జరుగుతున్న అధికార దుర్వినియోగానికి ప్రత్యక్ష సాక్ష్యం. వందలకోట్ల రూపాయల కుంభకోణం నిర్వహించిన ‘ఎమ్మార్’ విదేశీయ స్వదేశీయ సంస్థల ఆస్తులను ‘సిబిఐ’ వారు జప్తు చేశారా? రామలింగరాజును అరెస్ట్ చేసిన తరువాత కూడ ‘సత్యం’ సంస్థ ఆస్తులను జప్తు చేయలేదు. సంస్థ యాజమాన్యం చేతులు మారడానికి కాని, కొనసాగడానికి కాని ఎలాంటి అవరోధాలు ఏర్పడలేదు. అలాగే ‘సాక్షి’ సంస్థల యాజమాన్యాలు, నిర్వాహకులు, అవినీతికి పాల్పడినప్పుడు వారిని విచారించాలి. న్యాయస్థానాలు నిజానిజాలను నిగ్గు తేల్చి తీర్పు చెప్పాలి! కానీ ఆ ప్రక్రియ కొనసాగుతున్న దశలోనే సిబిఐ వారు, వారిని నడిపిస్తున్న వారు తీర్పు చెప్పేస్తున్నారు! ఆదాయపు వనరులకు మించిన రీతిలో జగన్ కూడబెట్టిన అక్రమ సంపదను పసికట్టి దాడి చేసి ‘సిబిఐ’ వారు స్వాధీనం చేసుకోవచ్చు. కానీ ‘సాక్షి’ ప్రచురణ దృశ్యమాధ్యమాలు చట్టబద్ధంగా నమోదయి నడుస్తున్న సంస్థలు. ఈ సంస్థల పనితీరులో ‘అవినీతి’ సంభవించినపుడు తదనుగుణంగా అభియోగాలు దాఖలయినప్పుడు వాటి ‘బ్యాంకు అకౌంట్లను’ స్తంభింపజేయవచ్చు. ఆస్తులను జప్తు చేసి యాజమాన్యంతో నిమిత్తం లేకుండా న్యాయస్థానాలు నిర్దేశించిన రీతిలో ఆ సంస్థలను నడిపించవచ్చు. అదేమీ జరగలేదు. జగన్‌పై దాఖలైన అభియోగాల ప్రాతిపదికగా, సజావుగా పనిచేస్తున్న సంస్థలను మూసివేస్తారట! ఈలోగా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ‘సాక్షి’ పత్రికను తమ వాణిజ్య ప్రకటనలు రద్దు చేయడం రాజ్యాంగ వ్యవస్థను అపహాస్యం పాలు చేసిన మరో దారుణం. గుండ్రాతినీ మోకాలు చిప్పకు ముడిపెట్టడానికి ఇంతకంటె వికృతమైన ఉదాహరణ మరొకటి ఉండదు.
రాజశేఖర రెడ్డి ప్రభుత్వం హయాంలో జగన్‌కు అక్రమ సంపద కూడినప్పుడు, అందుకు దోహదం చేసిన అవినీతికరమైన నిర్ణయాలకు మంత్రివర్గం బాధ్యత వహించవలసి ఉంది. అలాకాక ఐదుగురు లేదా మరికొందరు మంత్రులు మాత్రమే జగన్‌కు సహకరించి ఉండినప్పటికీ వారు కూడా నేరస్థులే! అలాంటి మంత్రులు ఇప్పటి మంత్రివర్గంలో కూడ సభ్యులుగా ఉన్నారు. సమాధానం చెప్పవలసిందిగా వారికి సుప్రీంకోర్టు నోటీసును కూడ జారీ చేసింది. మరి అలాంటి వారు తమ పదవులకు రాజీనామాలు చేసి ఈ పాటికే నిందితులుగా న్యాయస్థానాలలో నిలబడి ఉండాలి! కానీ సిబిఐ వారు ఈ మంత్రులపై ఇంతవరకు అభియోగాలు మోపలేదు. కొంతమంది విచారించినప్పటికీ వారిని ‘అవినీతి’తో సంబంధం ఉందని కాని, లేదని కాని ‘సిబిఐ’ తేల్చి చెప్పలేదు. జగన్ విషయంలో కూడ నెమ్మది నెమ్మదిగా ఇబ్బందులను కలిగిస్తూ ఉన్న సిబిఐ, ప్రత్యేక న్యాయస్థానంలో అభియోగపత్రం-చార్జ్‌షీట్- దాఖలు చేసిన తరువాత యాబయి రోజులు గడచినప్పటికీ అతగాడిని అరెస్ట్ మాత్రం చేయలేదు. ఇప్పుడు, ఆస్తులను జప్తు చేసే వ్యవహారంలో కూడ ‘సిబిఐ’ నేరుగా న్యాయస్థానాన్ని అభ్యర్థించలేదు. అనుమతి కోసం రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి దరఖాస్తులు పెట్టుకొంది. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ‘సిబిఐ’ వారి అభ్యర్థనను మన్నించినట్టుగా పేర్కొంటూ ఉత్తర్వులను-జిఒలను-జారీ చేసిందట. నిజానికి ఈ ప్రహసనం అవసరం లేదు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వంతో నిమిత్తం లేకుండా ‘సిబిఐ’ ‘జప్తు అనుమతి కోసం’ న్యాయస్థానంలోనే ‘పిటిషన్’ దాఖలు చేసి ఉండవచ్చు.
గత మార్చిలో అభియోగపత్రం దాఖలు అయిన వెంటనే జగన్‌ను సిబిఐ అరెస్ట్ చేయలేదు. అలా చేసినట్టయితే జగన్ పట్ల సానుభూతి పెల్లుబుకి వోటర్లు తమకు వ్యతిరేకంగా మారుతారన్న భయం అధికార రాజకీయవేత్తలను ఆవహించింది. అందువల్ల సుదీర్ఘకాలంపాటు జగన్‌కు వ్యతిరేకంగా వివిధ ఆరోపణలను వెలికి తీయడం వాటి ప్రాతిపదికగా అతగాడి పట్ల ప్రజల్లో ‘అసహ్యం’ కలిగించడం ప్రభుత్వ నిర్వాహకుల వ్యూహంగా మారింది. ఎనబయి గదుల ఇల్లు జగన్ నిర్మించుకొన్నాడట! ఒకేసారి ఐదారు పడక గదులలో అతగాడు నిదురబోతాడా? ఒకేసారి ఏడెనిమిది స్నానాల గదులను ఉపయోగించుకుంటాడా? ఇలాంటి చవకబారు ప్రశ్నలను ముఖ్యమంత్రి వంటి ఉన్నత పదవిని నిర్వహిస్తున్నవారు, నిర్వహించిన వారు సంధించడం ఈ ‘వ్యూహం’లో భాగం! అయితే ఈ వ్యూహం న్యాయ ప్రక్రియ పరంగాను, ఇతరత్రాను బెడిసి కొట్టడం ఆరంభమైంది. ‘సాక్షి’ పత్రికను ‘్ఛనల్’కు వాణిజ్య ప్రకటనలను జారీ చేయడం నిలిపి వేయాలన్న ప్రభుత్వపు ఉత్తరువు హైకోర్టు తాత్కాలికంగా రద్దు చేయడం ఈ బెడిసి కొడుతుందనడానికి సంకేతం! అలాగే సిబిఐ, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలకు వ్యతిరేకంగా కలం వీరులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున గళమెత్తడం కూడ ప్రభుత్వ నిర్వాహకులు ఊహించని పరిణామం. వాస్తవానికి జగన్‌ను అరెస్టు చేసినట్టయితే ఉప ఎన్నికల ఫలితాలు తమకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఉంటాయన్నది అధికార పక్షం వారికి మాత్రమే కాదు, ప్రతిపక్షాలలోని జగన్ ప్రత్యర్ధులను కూడ పీడిస్తోంది! అందువల్ల అతగాడిని సాధ్యమైనంత ఎక్కువకాలం బయటనే ఉంచి ‘త్రిశంకు’ భావనకు గురి చేయాలన్నది ‘అధికార పథకం’! కానీ ఈ త్రిశంకు రాజకీయం జగన్ ప్రత్యర్థుల భవిష్యత్తును మాత్రమే ‘త్రిశంకు’ స్థితికి గురిచేస్తుండడం వర్తమాన వైపరీత్యం!

CHANDRABABU BAIDU: A REAL STORY

In 1978, when Chandrababu Naidu became MLA for the first time, he was owning just two-acre land in Naravaripalle village in his native Chittoor district. He did not own even a car and, infact, his first car, an Ambassdor was gifted by his father-in-law late chief minister NT Rama Rao. From here, till 2004 before he was ousted by the Congress in the hustings, Chandrababu earned thousands of crores through dubious means.
When Chandrababu entered politics his father, owner of two acre land, was ekingout his livelihood by farming. His mother used to support the family by selling milk and curd in the surrounding villages of Naravaripalle. His brother, Rammurthy Naidu, a former MLA, used to repair electric motors.
After his father-in-law NT Rama Rao became chief minister, Chandrababu had set up Bhuvaneswari Carbides in 1984-85, but that turned out to be a mis-adventure.
In 1988, Chandrababu’s annual income was Rs 36,000 and in a decade it went up to Rs 19.29 crore. Chandrababu, in a document submitted to Company Law Authorities claimed that he had no businesses. Then, how did he earn crores of rupees is a big question. In the affivadit submitted to Election Commission in 2009, Chandrababu declared that his wife and he together have assets worth Rs 51 crore.
There is nothing new in the “friendship” between politicians and corporate world. But, why did Chandrababu drag late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his son YS Jaganmohan Reddy into the corporate war between two mining companies? Why is he spitting venom against the late chief minister’s son?
In 2004, people taught Chandrababu a lesson by showing him his place when he tried to describe Rajasekhara Reddy a factionist? In 2009, he talked about so-called corruption, but people did not believe him. With the untimely and unfortunate death of Rajasekhara Reddy, Chandrababu believed that the field is wide open to him. But, the unstinted support of masses to Jaganmohan Reddy is driving the TDP president crazy. Unable to digest this, Chandrababu and his media syndicate is now desperately trying to malign the image of Jaganmohan Reddy.
His nine-year rule as chief minister (1995 to 2004) was a saga of corruption. He never ordered CBI inquiry into any of the scams that surfaced during his regime as he was a direct beneficiary. His present friend and foe in 2004 elections, CPM in a conservative assessment estimated that the scams during TDP regime would worth Rs 12,367 crore. There could be another Rs 10,000 crore worth scams, which could not be exposed. He always relied on Gobellsian propaganda in promoting his image and to cover up his follies.
Here just a tip of his corruption ice berg.
LIQUOR SCAM: One of the major scams of Chandrababu Naidu was the liquor scam in which Rs 600 crore tax payers money was paid to three liquor manufacturing companies in excess between 1997 and 2000. State Vigilance and Enforcement Department gave a detailed report on how Babu regime bent the rules to favour the three companies and how others were denied sale in AP. (In fact The Hindu then wrote a front page piece on the scam too). An important file pertaining to the scam was literally consigned to flames by Chandrababu, who later went on to obtain a stay from the High Court on technical grounds so that he would not be examined.
YELERU SCAM: Unprecedented corruption took place in land acquisition and compensation to the displaced in Yeleru canal works. Role of a judge and several TDP leaders was alleged in the scam worth Rs 100 crore. Court even faulted four senior IAS officers, but Babu regime did not take any action against them. Justice Somasekhara Commission could not complete the inquiry as Babu and his men created several legal hurdles for it making it impossible for the commission to function.
MANGANESE MINES LEASE: Chandrababu government leased out 223.84 acre manganese mines in Vizianagaram district to SK Swaragi & Co in February 2001. Interestingly, the same mines were leased to AP Mineral Development Corporation in 1999 for a period of 10 years. To help Swaragi, the state government cancelled the lease agreement with APMDC. Obviously money changed hands in the deal.
LAND ALLOCATION TO IMG BHARATHA: This is the biggest of all scams. Though being a care-taker chief minister, Chandrababu allocated 400 acres land in the prime Gachibowli locality in Hyderabad at Rs 50,000 per acre as against the market value of over Rs 2 crore per acre. This land belonged to the University of Hyderabad. Chandrababu played a key role in chosing Billi Rao and Prabhakar Rao, in the scam and used them as a front to siphon away money.
L&T: L&T had been Chandrababu’s pet company. Within four days of swearing-in as chief minister on Sept 1, 1995, Chandrababu allotted 148 acre land in the upmarket Madhapur area to L&T. Within one year, he allocated another 18 acres and subsequently another 78 acres had been allocated to the company. The then joint collector submitted a report to the state government stating that about 100 acres land had been encroached upon by L&T. But, the report was swept under the carpet.
RAHEJA IT PARK: 100 acres land was allotted to Raheja IT Park for peanuts in the costly Madhapur area. About Rs 50 crore changed hands in the deal.
EMMAR PROPERTIES: Chandrababu allotted 700 acre land to EMMAR Properties at throw away price. Congress party leveled serious allegations of corruption in the deal and demanded a CBI probe. But, true to his style, he never agreed for a probe into the deal. Violating all conditions, EMMAR Properties divided the land into plots and sold them. Surprisingly, Chandrababu’s daughter-in-law also owns a plot in EMMAR Properties.
KAKINADA PORT: Chandrababu entered into a deal with the then Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohammed. His son Farzan Ahmed floated Kokanada Sea Ports and here too L&T joined the consortium. Besides, some TDP leaders also joined the projects and it is no secret that they were Chandrababu benamis. The TDP regime allocated 168 acres at throw away price. In return, Mahathir Mohammed facilitated Chandrababu’s investments in hospitality industry in Malaysia.
HERITAGE FOODS: This is family concern set up near Chandragiri in his native Chittoor district. It would have been an ordinary business not drawing anyone’s attention, but for the fact that Chandrababu made amendments to the dairy policy in the state. The amendments were such that they suited Heritage Foods while badly hitting the cooperative dairy sector. The classic case is the prestigious Chittoor Dairy which was floored by Chandrababu to the benefit of his company.
While other dairies in the state increased milk procurement price due to shortfall in milk production, Chittoor dairy was forced to reduce the milk procurement price. As a result, farmers in Chittoor district sold milk to Heritage Foods for better price. In 1994-95, Chittoor dairy milk procurement has come come down to 76,000 litres per day from two lakh litres. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams too stopped buying ghee from Chittoor dairy resulting in a loss of revenue of Rs 1.3 crore per month. Milk supply to Chennai and Bangalore was also stopped and Chittoor dairy was bleeding to death.
Though National Dairy Development Board came forward to revive Chittoor dairy, Chandrababu government refused to chip in with 50 per cent contribution. That was the final nail in the coffin. Chittoor dairy was closed while Heritage was earning fat profits. The Dairy was revived only after Congress returned to power in 2004.
The other dimension to the Heritage Scam is floating of several benami companies by Chandrababu &Co. Obviously, these are unlisted companies and shares worth Rs 1.32 crore in the name of his wife Bhuvaneswari are in these companies. There is no way one can examine where-all these unlisted companies invested and their worth. At the same time, there is a need to expose the volume of unclaimed deposits in Margadarsi. There are allegations that Chandrababu has a major stake in the unclaimed deposits.
DUPING THE INVESTORS: Heritage Foods, a listed company had 3 acre land in Madhapur, which is worth Rs 100 crore. To grab the land, Chandrababu floated Heritage Infra, a subsidiary company. In this company, Chandrababu’s wife has 28 per cent stake while his benami Nagaraju Naidu has 21 per cent. Susequently, the Rs 100 crore worth land of Heritage Foods was transferred to Heritage Infra for a mere Rs 2.73 crore and thus duped the investors of their share. Once the operation was completed, Heritage Foods withdrew its 51 per cent stake from Heritage Infra and the same was bought over by Sri Chakra Merchandising Limited for Rs 35.69 crore. This is a benami company of Chandrababu’s frontman Sujana Chowdhry. That is how, Chandrababu transferred investors money into his pocket.
GMR AIRPORT: Chandrababu allocated 5,500 acre to GMR for the construction of airport at Shamshabad. Using his clout in the NDA government, Chandrababu extended various concessions to GMR. Besides, Chandrababu and his gang purchased huge tracts of land in the vicinity of airport and made profits. Initially, he conspired to have the airport near Ramoji Film City so that his “media guru” would be benefited, but central government turned down the proposal. He also unsuccessfuly tried to convince GMR to make L&T a stake holder in the airport.
KAKINADA SEZ: Kakinada SEZ is another major scam of Chandrababu. Much hype was created by TDP regime that ONGC would be part of the SEZ. After money changed hands, the location of Kakinada SEZ was changed to benefit the real estate lobby and also to the SEZ promoters. Role of TDP leaders was strongly suspected in the deals and obviously Chandrababu has benami holdings in the project.
ASSOCIATION WITH SATYAM: Scam tainted Satyam Computers had been Chandrababu’s blue-eyed company. The TDP president turned his back on Satyam soon after the scam surfaced. He even deleted from the NTR Trust website the details about Rs 1 crore donation given by Satyam benami companies. It is a fact that Chandrababu held a secret meeting with Ramalingaraju a few days before the tainted CEO of Satyam surrendered. Till date, Chandrababu is yet to come clean on the allegations that Satyam funded Rs 23 crore for his son’s education in Carngie Milan University.
GANGAVARAM PORT: Chandrababu allocated 1800 acre to New Wave Securities and Industrial Credits Limited consoritum for developing Gangavaram Port. There are allegations that scam tainted Satyam invested in New Wave. There is no secret about the friendship between Chandrababu and Ramalingaraju. The former chief minister himself should reveal how many crores changed hands in the deals.
INDIA CEMENTS: This is another company on whic Chandrababu showered his blessings. By extending tax concessions, Chandrababu is alleged to have benefited the company to the tune of Rs 150 crore. Can Chandrababu come clean in this episode?
POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT SCAM: It is not only a major scam but imposed constant burden on the state exchequer. Without even knowing whether the state would be able to supply gas to private power producers, Chandrababu government entered into power purchase agreements with Gouthami, GVK, Konaseema and Vemagiri. The Independent Power Producers were assured of fixed tariff on the pretext that Reliance gas would be available by the time they go for power production.
Chandrababu Naidu government even agreed to pay Rs 1020 crore annually if the assured gas is not available. He even made the four IPPs to enter into an MoU with Reliance. “Alternate fuel” clause was also included in the PPA, which would obviously burden distribution companies. With the non-availability of gas, the IPPs demanded that the State government pay fixed charges as per the PPAs. Despite repeated allegations of largescale corruption in the PPAs, Chandrababu never dared to come clean on the issue.
It was only after Rajasekhara Reddy became chief minister, negotiations were held with IPPs and the “alternate fuel” clause was removed. A high-level committee was also constituted for review of the PPAs. The claim of IPPs for Rs 900 crore fixed tariff compensation is pending before the High Court.
RELIANCE GAS: Despite knowing about the invauluable gas deposits in Krishna-Godavari basin, Chandrababu observed a “strategic silence”. While Reliance and Gujarat state government participated in the bidding for gas reserves, Chandrababu looked the other way. Why did Chandrababu remained indifferent? Is it not true that Chandrababu did so to benefit Reliance? Is it not a fact that it was only during the regime of late Rajasekhara Reddy that the state government initiated efforts for claiming rights over the gas reserves?
KRISHNAPATNAM PORT: Krishnapatnam Port was given to Natco by Chandrababu regime. What is the benefit that Babu got from the deal?
I feel saddened that in over five years of YSR rule, while he had full support from the central government throughout his term as a CM, nothing was done to bring this scamster to justice.
It is a sin to misuse power and arrest and seize the properties of completely unrelated persons like Sunil Reddy but to bring to justice scamsters like this Babu and recover the losses to the treasury is the duty of the elected governments/leaders.

Ongole: Jagan’s juggernaut seems to be rolling on unhindered.
The euphoria is evident on the streets of Ongole town with YSRCP president Jagan launching a
whirlwind tour of the town, seeking votes for his party candidate and former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.
Jagan revived his poll campaign on the second day here right on dot. The government’s bid nail him on
various counts seems to be adding to his advantage. The mood of the people is evident. They wanted the son
of the messiah of welfare State, Rajasekhara Reddy back as the king.
Whether one likes it or not, each family in villages was benefitted by one scheme or the other of the welfare schemes launched
under the tenure of YSR. People thronged on to the streets in hordes and started accompanying him in his vote seeking mission.He has
covered Balram colony, Papa colony, Nehru colony, Bharat colony by afternoon. He is empathizing with the people in his inimitable
style by various gestures like hugging them affectionately, patting them, taking tiny tots into his arms and sometimes planting an affectionate kiss.
He is asking the people to teach the Congress party a fitting lesson for victimizing him in various forms for being steadfastly adhering to
certain values. And people seem to believe his words. The tag of corruption is also not sticking to him.
“Who is not,” seems to be the bottomline statement from the people, who have become wiser in the long history of Indian democracy.

అక్రమ ఆస్తుల కేసు జగన్, మహా అయితే ఒకరిద్దరు ఐఏఎస్ అధికారులకే పరిమితం కావచ్చునని మొదట అనుకున్నారు. కేసులో తమ జోలికి రాక పోవచ్చునని మంత్రులు కొందరు అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. తమ విషయాన్ని హైకమాండే చూసుకుంటుందని అనుకున్నారు. అయితే ఇపుడు తమవరకు వస్తుండటంతో వారిలో ఆందోళన ఆరంభమైంది. సుప్రీంకోర్టు నోటీసులు జారీ చేసిన మంత్రులేకాకుండా, వీటితో సంబంధం లేని మంత్రులు సైతం జగన్ వ్యహారాన్ని ‘కోతి పుండు బ్రహ్మ రాక్షసి’ చందాన అధిష్ఠాన వర్గం చేస్తోందని విమర్శిస్తున్నారు.
అక్రమ ఆస్తుల కేసులో వైఎస్ హయాంలో ప్రభుత్వంతో ఏమాత్రం సంబంధం లేని జగన్‌ను అరెస్టు చేసినట్లయితే, అప్పటి ప్రభుత్వంలో మంత్రులుగా పని చేసి కీలక నిర్ణయాల్లో భాగస్వాములైన వారినీ అరెస్టు చేయక తప్పదన్న వాదన ఆరంభమైంది. ఈ కేసులో మంత్రులపై కూడా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలన్న డిమాండ్ ప్రతిపక్షాల నుంచే కాకుండా స్వపక్షం నుంచీ రావడం కాంగ్రెస్ నాయకత్వాన్ని ఇరకాటంలో పెట్టింది. మొత్తం వ్యవహారం ఎటుతిరిగినా కాంగ్రెస్ మెడకే తగులుతుందని, దీనివల్ల కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రతిష్టే దెబ్బతింటుందని కొందరు మంత్రులు అభిప్రాయపడుతున్నారు. జగన్ వ్యవహారాన్ని అసలు ఇంతవరకు తీసుకురావడమే తప్పని వారంటున్నారు. కాంగ్రెస్ పరిస్థితి ముల్లు అరిటాకు చందాన ఉందని మాజీ మంత్రి, పార్టీ సీనియర్ ఒకరు వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. జగన్‌ను అరెస్టు చేసినట్లయితే ప్రజల్లో ఆయన పట్ల సానుభూతి మరింత పెరుగుతుంది. అదే మంత్రుల్ని అరెస్టు చేసినట్లయితే కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రతిష్ట దెబ్బ తింటుంది. కాంగ్రెస్ వారు అవినీతిపరులని ప్రచారం చేసేందుకు ప్రతిపక్షాలకు అస్త్రాన్ని ఇచ్చినట్లవుతుంది. మంత్రుల అరెస్టుల్ని నిలుపుదల చేయాలంటే జగన్ అరెస్టును నివారించాలి. దీనివల్ల జగన్‌పై కాంగ్రెస్ వేధింపు చర్యలకు పాల్పడుతోందని ప్రచారం చేస్తే అది జగన్‌కు అనుకూలం, కాంగ్రెస్‌కు ప్రతికూలంగా మారుతుంది’ అని కాంగ్రెస్ వర్గాలు విశే్లషిస్తున్నాయి.

ఒంగోలు, మే 19: మండుటెండను సైతం లెక్కచేయకుండా వైఎస్ఆర్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ అధినేత వైఎస్ జగన్మోహన్రెడ్డి ఒంగోలు నియోజకవర్గంలో నిర్వహించిన రోడ్ షోకు జనం నీరాజనాలు పలికారు. ప్రధానంగా ఒంగోలు నగరంలోని ప్రధాన రహదారులన్నీ ప్రజలతో కిక్కిరిసిపోయాయి. మోటారుసైకిళ్ళ ర్యాలీలతో యువత కేరింతలు కొట్టారు. కాబోయే ముఖ్యమంత్రి జగన్ అంటూ కార్యకర్తలు నినాదాల హోరెత్తించారు. దీంతో వైఎస్ఆర్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ శ్రేణుల్లో ఉత్సాహం ఉరకలేసింది. ముందుగా ఒంగోలులోని సాయిబాబా గుడిలో జగన్ ప్రత్యేక పూజలు నిర్వహించిన తరువాత రోడ్ షో ప్రారంభించారు. ఒంగోలు నియోజకవర్గ కాంగ్రెస్ అభ్యర్ధి బాలినేని శ్రీనివాసరెడ్డి విజయాన్ని కాంక్షిస్తూ ఒంగోలు నియోజకవర్గంలో జగన్మోహన్రెడ్డి రోడ్ షో నిర్వహించారు. ఉదయం పది గంటలకు ప్రారంభం కావల్సిన రోడ్ షో 11.15 గంటలకు ప్రారంభమైంది. ఎర్రటి ఎండను సైతం లెక్కచేయకుండా జగన్ తన ప్రసంగాన్ని ఈతముక్కల, మడనూరు, చెర్వుకొమ్ముపాలెం, యరజర్ల గ్రామాల్లో కొనసాగించారు. జగన్ ప్రసంగాల్లో కొత్త ఒరవడి కనిపించింది. కళ్ళజోడు పెట్టుకున్న అవ్వ, పచ్చచీర కట్టుకున్న అవ్వ, బ్లూచీర కట్టుకున్న అవ్వ, పంచె కట్టుకున్న తాతా అంటూ జగన్ తన తొలి ప్రసంగంలో కొనసాగించి ముసలివారిని ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. కొత్తపట్నం మండలం మడనూరులో ఒక అవ్వను, చిన్నారిని ముద్దాడారు. ఒంగోలులోని చర్చి సెంటర్ వద్ద సాయంత్రం ఐదు గంటలకు రోడ్ షో ప్రారంభం కావల్సి ఉండగా రాత్రి 7.45 గంటలకు ప్రారంభమైనప్పటికీ ప్రజలు మాత్రం వేలాది సంఖ్యలో తరలివచ్చారు. జగన్ ప్రసంగాన్ని వినేందుకు ప్రతిఒక్కరూ ఆసక్తి కనబరిచారు. చర్చి సెంటర్ నుండి తిరిగి రోడ్ షో నగరంలోని పాతమార్కెట్ సెంటరు, సెయింట్ జేవియర్స్ దగ్గరలోని పెట్రోలు బంకు వద్ద ఏర్పాటుచేసిన వైఎస్ఆర్ విగ్రహం, మంగమూరు డొంకలోని వైఎస్ఆర్ విగ్రహం వరకు సాగింది. ముందుగా కొత్తపట్నం మండలం సంకువానిగుంట వద్ద ఉన్న వైఎస్ఆర్ విగ్రహానికి జగన్ పూలమాల వేసి ఘనంగా నివాళులర్పించారు. తన తండ్రి వైఎస్ఆర్ పేరును జగన్ ఉచ్ఛరించిన సమయంలో ప్రజల నుండి విశేష స్పందన లభించింది. ప్రధానంగా తన తండ్రి హయాంలో చేపట్టిన సంక్షేమ పథకాలను ప్రజలకు వివరిస్తూనే మరొకపక్క తెలుగుదేశం, కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలపై నిప్పులు చెరిగారు. రెండు ఎకరాల ఆసామి చంద్రబాబు ప్రస్తుతం వేలకోట్ల రూపాయలకు ఏవిధంగా అధిపతి అయ్యారని ప్రశ్నించారు. తన తండ్రి హయాంలో చేపట్టిన 108, 104, రాజీవ్ ఆరోగ్యశ్రీ, ఫీజు రీయింబర్స్‌మెంటు పథకాలు మూలనపడ్డాయని ధ్వజమెత్తారు. 108 అంబులెన్స్‌లు సగానికి సగం మరమ్మతుల్లో ఉన్నాయని ఆరోపించారు. తన తండ్రి మృతి చెందిన తరువాత పేదవాడికి ఒక్క ఇంటిని కూడా నిర్మించలేని దుస్థితిలో కిరణ్ సర్కారు ఉందని ధ్వజమెత్తారు. తనపై జరుగుతున్న సిబిఐ కుట్రను ప్రజలకు తెలియచెప్పే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. ఢిల్లీ పెద్దలకు లొంగలేదు కాబట్టి తనపై సిబిఐ విచారణ జరుగుతోందని, అదే టిడిపి అధినేత చంద్రబాబు మాత్రం కేంద్ర మంత్రి చిదంబరాన్ని కలిసినందువల్లే సిబిఐ విచారణ లేదని దుయ్యబట్టారు. ఎన్నాళ్ళు బతికామన్నది కాదు ఎలా బతికామన్నదే ముఖ్యమని ప్రజలకు వివరించారు. అదేవిధంగా రైతాంగాన్ని ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. రాష్టవ్య్రాప్తంగా లక్ష ఎకరాల్లో క్రాప్ హాలిడే ప్రకటించారన్నారు. రైతులకు గిట్టుబాటు ధర కల్పించలేని దుస్థితిలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఉందని ఆరోపించారు. ఇదిలాఉండగా మార్టూరు, చీరాల మాజీ శాసనసభ్యులు గొట్టిపాటి రవికుమార్, పాలేటి రామారావులు జగన్ సమక్షంలో పార్టీ తీర్ధం పుచ్చుకున్నారు. అదేవిధంగా ప్రజారాజ్యం పార్టీ మహిళా విభాగం మాజీ అధ్యక్షురాలు సజ్జా హేమలత కూడా వారితో తీర్ధం పుచ్చుకున్నారు.
మొత్తంమీద జగన్ పర్యటన పూర్తిస్థాయిలో విజయవంతం కావటంతో ఆ పార్టీ శ్రేణుల్లో నూతనోత్తేజం నెలకొంది.

పత్రికా స్వేచ్ఛపై జరిగిన అనేక దాడుల్లో ఇది చాలా తీవ్రమైనది. నిర్ధారణ కావాల్సిన దశలో పూడ్చుకోని విధంగా దెబ్బతీయాలని యోచిస్తున్నారు. తొండ ముదిరి ఊసరవెల్లి అయినట్లు.. పాత్రికేయునిగా పనిచేసి పత్రికాధిపతిగా మారిన వ్యక్తి, ‘సాక్షి’ ఎప్పుడు మూతపడుతుందా అని ఎదురు చూస్తున్న వ్యక్తి అలా కోరుకుంటున్నారు. ఇలాంటి వ్యక్తులు ఎవరో, ఏమిటో అందరికి తెలుసు.
పాత్రికేయునిగా పనిచేసిన సమయంలో పైరవీల కోసం తన ఇంటికి వచ్చే కారణంగా అవుతున్న ట్రాఫిక్ జామ్‌ను నియంత్రించేందుకు సర్కిల్ ఇన్‌స్పెక్టర్ స్థాయి అధికారి ఉండాల్సిన పరిస్థితి. అలాంటి వ్యక్తి యంగిస్థాన్, నీతి గురించి మాట్లాడితే వికారంగా, అసహ్యంగా ఉంటుంది. బుద్ధి, జ్ఞానం ఉంటే అలాంటివి చేయకండి. ఆర్‌బీఐ చట్టాలను ఉల్లంఘించి.. ప్రజల వద్ద నుంచి రూ. 40 వేల కోట్లను డిపాజిట్లను సేకరించి విస్తృత వ్యాపార సామ్రాజ్యాన్ని నిర్మించుకున్న వ్యక్తి.. మార్గదర్శిపై క్రిమినల్ కేసు పెడితే పత్రికా స్వేచ్ఛపై దాడి అంటూ సుప్రీంకోర్టుకు వెళితే ఉంగరం వేలితో మొట్టికాయలు వేసి పంపించారు. వ్యక్తులు డిపాజిట్లు స్వీకరించకూడదు కదా అని కోర్టు ప్రశ్నిస్తే.. నేను వ్యక్తిని కాదు, సంస్థను అని చెప్పుకున్నాడు. సంస్థలు కూడా స్వీకరించవద్దంటే.. నేను వ్యక్తిని అంటాడు. అసలు నీవు ఎవరో చెప్పమంటే.. నేను అతీతమైన వ్యక్తినంటాడు. ‘సాక్షి’ అకౌంట్లు మూసేసి, ప్రకటనల్ని నిలిపివేస్తే.. ఆ సంస్థ మరణిస్తే మళ్లీ ప్రజ్వలింపచేయగలరా? సృష్టించలేని వాటిని నాశనం చేసే హక్కు ఎవరికి లేదు.
