నా నియోజకవర్గ ప్రజలను, తెలంగాణ ప్రజలను ఒక విషయం సూటిగా అడగుతున్నా “పదకొండు సంవత్సరాల కింద కేసీఆర్ పార్టీ పెట్టిండు. ఎందుకు పెట్టిండు? తెలంగాణ తేవడానికి! కానీ, వచ్చిందా? లేదు. ఆ పార్టీ వల్ల తెలంగాణ రాదన్న విషయం కేసీఆర్ కు స్పష్టంగా తెలుసు. మరెందుకు పెట్టాడో తెలుసా… వసూళ్ల కోసం. పచ్చి దగాకోరు మాటలతో ప్రజలను మాయ చేసి, మభ్య పెట్టి పదకొండేళ్లుగా వారి రక్తం పీలుస్తున్నాడు. సీమాంధ్ర పార్టీలు తెలంగాణకు చేస్తున్న మోసం కంటే కేసీఆర్ చేస్తున్నమోసమే పెద్దది. అలాంటి వ్యక్తికి ఓటు వేయవచ్చా?” అని ఆమె ప్రశ్నించారు. పరకాల ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో భాగంగా విజయమ్మ, షర్మిల, కొండా మురళి, కొండా సురేఖ శుక్రవారం నియోజకవర్గంలో ప్రచారం నిర్వహించారు. జనం పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో వారి రోడ్ షోలకు తరలివచ్చారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా కొండా సురేఖ ఘాటు వ్యాఖలు చేశారు.
తెలంగాణలో కేసీఆర్, కేటీఆర్, కవిత, హరీష్ రావు, ఈటెల రాజేందర్, కోదండరామిరెడ్డి – అలీబాబు అరడజను దొంగలన్నారు. వారు తెలంగాణను దోచుకోవడానికే పుట్టారన్నారు. ఈ పదకొండేళ్లలో ఆయన ఏం చేశాడంటే ఎనిమిది వందల మంది ప్రాణాలు బలితీసుకున్నాడు. వేల కోట్లు సంపాదించాడు అని సురేఖ మండిపడ్డారు. ఉద్యమం పెట్టిన రోజు కేసీఆర్ కొడుకు, కూతురు అమెరికాలో ఉద్యోగం చేసుకుంటూ ఉండేవాళ్లు. ” నా పిల్లలు అమెరికాలో ఉన్నారు, నాకున్నది ఒకటే పని, తెలంగాణ కోసం పోరాడటం” అని చెప్పిన కేసీఆర్ ముందు కొడుకును ఇక్కడికి తెచ్చాడు. ఎందుకో తెలుసా అక్కడ వస్తున్న జీతం కంటే ఇక్కడ వచ్చే వసూళ్లు ఎక్కువున్నాయి కాబట్టి. తెలంగాణ పెద్దది కదా… వాళ్లిద్దరే దోచుకోవడం కష్టమని, కూతుర్ని కూడా తీసుకువచ్చారు. అల్లుడితో పాటు కుటుంబ సభ్యులందరినీ పదవుల్లో కూర్చోబెట్టాడు. అసలు ఉద్యమకారులకు పదవులు అవసరమా అని ఆమె ప్రశ్నించారు?. రేపు కేసీఆర్ పరకాలకు వస్తున్నాడు. “బిక్షపతిని గెలిపించండి. బిక్షపతిని ఓటు వేసి గెలిపిస్తే మూడు నెలల్లో తెలంగాణ తెస్తానని ఊకదంపుడు ఉపన్యాసాలు ఇస్తారు. తేలేకపోతే మెడ కోసుకుంటాను’ అంటారు. మీరు కనుక ఆ విషయాన్ని నమ్మి ఆయనకు ఓటేస్తే జూన్ పదిహేను నుంచి బిక్షపతి వసూళ్ల రాజ్యం మొదలుపెడతాడు అని ఆమె తీవ్రంగా దుయ్యబట్టారు. చాలా రోజులుగా చూస్తున్నా, మాట్లాడితే మెడకోసుకుంటా అంటాడు… అప్పట్నుంచి చూస్తున్నా, మెడ కాదు కదా వేలు కూడా కోసుకోలేదు. మరో పదకొండేళ్లయినా ఇలాగే కబుర్లు చెబుతుంటాడు. అయితే, వినడానికి మాత్రం ప్రజలు సిద్ధంగా ఉండరు. కేసీఆర్ మాయలు తెలిసిపోయాయి కాబట్టే పాలమూరులో తరిమికొట్టారని ఆమె అన్నారు.
కార్పొరేట్ కాలేజీలను -హరీష్ రావు, సినిమాలను-కవిత, పరిశ్రమలను-కేటీఆర్, వ్యాపారాలను-ఈటెల రాజేందర్ గుత్తకు పంచుకుని వసూళ్లు చేస్తున్నారని ఆమె తీవ్రంగా ఆరోపించారు. అదుర్స్ సినిమాను తెలంగాణలో నిలిపివేస్తే ఐదు కోట్లు తీసుకుని కవిత డీల్ సెటిల్ చేసిందని, ఆ డబ్బుతో బంజారాహిల్స్ లో భవంతి కొనుక్కుందని ఆమె ఆరోపించారు. అలీబాబా అరడజను దొంగలు కలిసి దోచుకుతింటున్నారని విమర్శించారు.
కొంతమంది స్నేహితులు నన్ను అడుగుతుంటారు నువ్వెందుకు జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డిని సపోర్ట్ చేస్తున్నావ్, ఆయన అవినీతి పరుడు కదా అని. జగన్ అవినీతి చేసాడా లేదా అన్న విషయం పక్కనపెట్టి అసలు అవినీతి మరక అంటని నాయకుడు మన రాష్ట్రంలో ఎవరైనా ఉన్నారా అని ఆలోచిస్తే నాకైతే ఎవరూ కనపడరు. ఎప్పుడూ నీతులు చెప్పే అలవాటున్న ఒక కొత్త పార్టీ నాయకుడు గురించి కొంతమంది చెప్తారు. కాకపోతే ఆయనమీద కూడా కొన్ని పుకార్లు షికారు చేస్తున్నాయి. ఒక మహానాయకుడు చనిపోయిన తరుణంలో సూట్కేసుల్లో డబ్బులు తరలించాడనే అపవాదు ఆ నాయకుడి మీద ఉంది. అది నిజమో కాదో ఖచ్చితంగా తెలియనంతవరకు ఆయన మాత్రం నీతిమంతుడు అని ఎందుకు నమ్మాలి. అసలు అవునో కాదో తెలియాలంటే నిఖార్సైన దర్యాప్తు జరగాలి కదా. కాని జరిగే దర్యాప్తుల్లో కూడా పూర్తి పక్షపాత ధోరణే కనిపిస్తుంది. అధికారంలో ఉన్న నాయకులు ప్రత్యర్థుల మీద కక్ష తీర్చుకోవడాని దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలను జేబు సంస్థలుగా మార్చుకుంటున్నారు. చివరకు న్యాయస్థానాలను కూడా వీలైతే దుర్వినియోగం చేస్తున్నారు లేదంటే తప్పుదారి పట్టిస్తున్నారు.
అసలు జగన్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలోనే కొనసాగుంటే దర్యాప్తు జరిగేదా అని ఆలోచిస్తే ఖచ్చితంగా జరిగేది కాదు అని మాత్రం అందరికి తెలుసు. ఒక్క్కడిని చేసి ఇంతమంది రాబందుల్లా పీడిస్తున్నారనే కోపంతోనే జగన్ మీద చాలా మందికి సానుభూతి ఏర్పడింది. జగన్ కు ఓటు వేసేవాళ్ళందరూ చదువు, సంధ్య లేని పేద ప్రజలు అని కొంతమంది అంటారు. దేశ విదేశాల్లో జగన్ సానుభూతిపరులు లక్షల్లో ఉన్నారనే విషయం గమనించాలి. చదువుకున్నోళ్ళు వెళ్లి ఓటు వేస్తారా అంటే వేయరు. ఎందుకంటే స్వార్థం. వాళ్ళ సొంత పనులే వాళ్ళకు ముఖ్యం. కాకపోతే అవినీతి గురించి లెక్చర్లు దంచడానికి మాత్రం సిద్ధంగా ఉంటారు. ఓటు హక్కు వినియోగించుకునే పేదప్రజలకు రాజకీయ చైతన్యం లేదు అనుకుంటే అది పొరపాటే అవుతుంది.వాళ్ళు జరుగుతున్న పరిణామాలను చాలా జాగ్రత్తగా గమనిస్తున్నారు. మన రాజకీయాల్లో సత్య హరిశ్చంద్రులు ఎవరూ లేరని వాళ్ళకు బాగా తెలుసు. ఇక్కడ కేవలం స్వార్థపూరిత రాజకీయాలు మాత్రమే నడుస్తున్నాయనే నగ్న సత్యాన్ని వాళ్ళు ఎప్పుడో పసిగట్టేసారు.
జగన్ మీద చూపిస్తున్న కక్ష స్వాతంత్ర్య భారత దేశ చరిత్రలో ఎప్పుడైనా చూసామా? వేరే రాష్ట్రాల్లో కొంతవరకు జరగడం చూసామే కాని మన రాష్ట్రంలో మాత్రం ఎప్పుడూ జరగలేదు. కేవలం ప్రత్యర్థులను డిఫెన్సు లో పడేయడానికి అవినీతి ప్రస్తావన తెచ్చేవాళ్ళు. అంతే గాని తెగే వరకు తీగ లాగే వాళ్ళు కాదు. ఇంత కక్షపూరిత దర్యాప్తు ఇన్నిరోజులుగా జరుగుతుంటే వీళ్ళు తెల్చిన్దేంటి? అనవసరంగా నిమ్మగడ్డ ప్రసాద్ లాంటి పెద్దమనుషులను తీసుకెళ్ళి జైల్లో పెట్టి పరువు తీసారు. కొంతమంది మరీ బరి తెగించి జగన్ లక్షకోట్లు దోచుకున్నాడంటారు.ఏదో ఒక కుళ్ళుతో చెబుతున్న మాటలు తప్పితే అసలు కొంచమైనా ఇంగితముందా అనిపిస్తుంది. వీళ్ళు అభిమానించే నాయకులు ఎంత పెద్ద అవినీతి పరులైనా పట్టించుకోరు. వీళ్ళ ధోరణి వీళ్ళదే.
అన్నా హజారే అవినీతికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ఉద్యమం చేస్తే, ఆ రోజుకు అందరూ సపోర్ట్ చేస్తారు. అన్నా హజారే ఆపేస్తే వెంటనే ఆపేస్తారు. వాళ్ళు ఏదో ఒక స్టైల్ కోసం చేస్తున్నారేమో అనిపిస్తుంది. హజారే ఉద్యమాన్ని జాగ్రత్తగా గమనిస్తే అది కేవలం పట్టణాల వరకు మాత్రమే విస్తరించిందనిపిస్తుంది. వ్యవసాయం మీద, కుల వృత్తుల మీద ఎక్కువగా ఆధారపడిన పల్లెల్లో ఎందుకు విస్తరించలేదంటే దానికి ప్రధాన కారణం అక్కడ ప్రజలకు కావాల్సింది వాళ్ళ కనీస అవసరాలు తీర్చుకోవడం. వాళ్ళ అవసరాలు తీరక అతికష్టం మీద బ్రతుకు బండి ఈడ్చుతుంటే హజారే ఉద్యమంలో పాల్గొనే తీరిక, చైతన్యం వాళ్ళకెందుకు ఉంటుంది? ఒక పని చేయాలంటే మనకు ముందు మన శరీరంలో శక్తీ ఉండాలి కదా! వాళ్ళ కడుపుమండితే పుట్టేది తీవ్రవాదమే గాని, సాదాసీదా ఉద్యమాలు కాదు. వైఎస్ఆర్ ఆరోగ్యశ్రీ పెట్టకముందు ఎంతమందికి పెద్దజబ్బు చేస్తే ఖచ్చితంగా బ్రతుకుతామనే భరోసా ఉండేది? ఫీజు రిఇమ్బర్స్మెంట్ పెట్టకముందు ఎంత మంది పైచదువులు చదివే వాళ్ళు? ప్రకాశం జిల్లాకు సంబందించిన ఒక పేద మహిళ వైఎస్ఆర్ గారి గురించి అన్న మాటలు ‘పేదవాడు కలలో కూడా ఉహించని ఒక కొత్త ప్రపంచాన్ని సృష్టించి వెళ్ళిపోయాడు మా రాజన్న’అని. ఈ మాటలు చాలవా వాళ్ల జీవితాలను ఈ పథకాలు ఎలా మార్చాయో తెలియచెప్పడానికి.
మనకు రాజకీయనాయకులని ఎప్పుడూ రాజకీయ కోణంలోనే చూడటం అలవాటు. తండ్రి మహానేతైనా లేదా రోజు వారి కూలి అయినా ఆ బిడ్డకు మాత్రం తండ్రే. ఆ తండ్రి ఆస్తితో పాటు ఆయన ఆశయాలను ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్ళాల్సిన భాద్యత కూడా అందరికన్నా ఆ బిడ్డకే ఎక్కువగా ఉంటుంది. ఇక్కడ జగన్ కూడా అందరిలాగే ఆలోచించాడు. అంతే కాని ఒక రాజకీయనాయకుడిలా మాత్రం ఆలోచించలేదని నా లాంటి వాళ్ల విశ్వాసం. తండ్రికిచ్చిన మాటకోసం ఎందాకైనా సరే అనే పట్టుదలతో పోరాడుతున్నాడే తప్ప అదేదో పదవికాంక్షతోనో, లేక డబ్బు మదంతోనో కాదు. డబ్బుకు విలువ ఇచ్చేవాడైతే ఎప్పుడో వెళ్లి ఇటాలియన్ గాంధీ కాళ్ళదగ్గర ఉండేవాడు. మనము ఎంతో మంది మహా నాయకులను చూసాం. వాళ్ళు చనిపోయిన తరువాత వాళ్ళ పుత్రరత్నాలు ఎంతమంది వాళ్ల ఆశయాలను ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్ళడానికి ప్రయత్నించారు. మన రాష్ట్రానికి సంబందించిన పెద్దనాయకుల గురించి ఒక్కసారి ఆలోచిస్తేనే ఈ విషయం కళ్ళకు కట్టినట్లు అవగతం అవుతుంది.
కష్టపడకుండా అందలం ఎక్కాలంటే అది కొంతమంది స్వార్థపరులకే సాధ్యం. కాని వాళ్ళు పేదవాడి హృదయాలో స్థానం దక్కించుకున్న దాఖలాలు చరిత్రలో లేదు. సహనంతో కూడిన సాహసంతో, గుండెధైర్యమే ఊపిరిగా, మెండైన ఆత్మవిశ్వాసంతో ముందుకెళ్ళే నాయకుడిని ప్రజలు ఎప్పుడూ ఆదరిస్తారు అనేది సత్యం.

According to internal assessments by political parties, TRS seems to have established a clear lead in Parkal followed by Ms. Surekha, the BJP, Congress and the TD. Of the 17 other by-polls being held in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, the lone by-poll in the Telangana region is dominated by the Telangana issue. While key leaders of the Congress, TD and YSRC have toured all the segments more than twice, in Parkal, the campaign has by and large been confined to Telangana leaders, with several Congress leaders even keeping off the campaign following the party’s non-committal stand on the Telangana issue.
Opinion is divided on how the TRS or YSRC or BJP will be helped by other political parties like Congress and TD who have come to the conclusion that they are out of the running in Parkal. Interestingly, the TD does not want TRS to win in Parkal as they fear an exodus from the party to TRS after the by-polls. In such a scenario, it remains to be seen who the TD cadres will extend cooperation to, the BJP or the YSRC.
Some Congress party cadres want TRS to win in Parkal as they hope that the Congress high command will announce ‘some favourable’ decision on Telangana. If the TRS loses, they feel that Telangana will not become a state. Some Congress leaders have decided to quit if the high command does not concede statehood for Telangana. At the same time they do not want to join the TRS and hope Ms. Surekha wins so that YSRC will register its identity in Telangana which is then likely to bring about political changes.

ఎందుకంటే.. జగన్ వెయ్యి కోట్ల రూపాయల అవినీతికి పాల్పడినట్టుగా చంద్రబాబు కాలికిబలపం కట్టుకుని మరీ ప్రచారం చేస్తూ జగన్ చేసిన అవినీతిపై ప్రచారం చేస్తున్నారు. అదేసమయంలో దేశంలోనే రిచెస్ట్ అభ్యర్థికి మద్దతుగా ప్రచారం చేయడం ఆయన ద్వంద్వనీతికి నిదర్శనమని వైఎస్ఆర్ సీపీ నేతలు ఆరోపిస్తున్నారు. ఇంతకీ ఆ అభ్యర్థి ఎవరు.. ఎక్కడ నుంచి పోటీ చేస్తున్నారన్న అంశాలను పరిశీలిస్తే…!!

అదేసమయంలో 39 యేళ్ళ దీపక్ రెడ్డికి బ్యాంక్ బ్యాలెన్స్ మాత్రం కేవలం లక్షన్నర రూపాయలుగా పేర్కొన్నారు. అంతేకాకుండా, తాను అఫిడవిట్‌లో పేర్కొన్న ఆస్తుల్లో 90 శాతం పైగా న్యాయపరమైన వివాదాల్లో ఉన్నట్టు ఆయన పేర్కొని ఎన్నికల సంఘం అధికారులు నివ్వెర పోయేలా కొత్త ట్విస్ట్ ఇవడం గమనార్హం. ఎంతైనా.. బిజినెస్ మేనేజ్‌మెంట్ గ్రాడ్యూయేట్ తెలివితేటలు కదా.

బెయిల్ కోసం మూడు కోట్ల రూపాయలు చెల్లించినట్టు తొలుత వార్తలు వచ్చాయి, తరువాత అది పది కోట్లకు, అంటు నుంచి 15 కోట్లకు, చివరకు కొందరు 60 కోట్లకు చేర్చారు. ఏదో జరిగింది కానీ ఏం జరిగింది, ఎవరి పాత్ర ఏమిటీ? అనేది సిబిఐ చెప్పడం లేదు. ఈ వ్యవహారంలో ఏం జరిగిందో సిబిఐ అధికారికంగా వెల్లడించలేదు. జగన్‌కు బెయిల్ రాకుండా ఆపడానికి ఇదో ఎత్తుగడ అనే వాదన ఒకటుంది. ఏం జరిగిందో, ఎవరు ముట్టచెప్పారో, ఎంత ముట్టచెప్పారో అధికారికంగా వెల్లడించాల్సిన బాధ్యత సిబిఐపై ఉంది. బెయిల్ కోసం ముడుపుల వ్యవహారం బయటపడగానే కొందరు రాజకీయ నాయకులు దిగ్భ్రాంతి వ్యక్తం చేయడం ఆశ్చర్యకరమైన వ్యవహారం. అందులోనూ అనుభజ్ఞులే ఎక్కువ దిగ్భ్రాంతి చెందారు. న్యాయవ్యవస్థకు ఒక మంచి ఉద్దేశంతో రక్షణ కవచం ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. మిగిలిన వ్యవస్థలపై ఆరోపణలు చేసినంత సులభంగా న్యాయవ్యవస్థపై ఆరోపణలు చేయడానికి అవకాశం లేదు. అది కోర్టు ధిక్కారం కిందకు వస్తుంది. ఈ రక్షణ సమాజానికి మంచి చేయడానికి ఉపయోగపడాలి కానీ పట్టాభి రామారావులను రక్షించడానికి ఉపయోగపడితే ఏం ప్రయోజనం. న్యాయస్థానాల్లో ఇలాంటి వ్యవహారాలకు పట్టాభి రామారావు మొదటి వ్యక్తి కాదు చివరి వ్యక్తి కాదు. 1949లోనే జస్టిస్ సిన్హాను పార్లమెంటు అభిశంసించింది. అన్నాహజారే నాయకత్వంలో అవినీతికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ఉద్యమం సాగుతున్న సమయంలో ఆయన బృందంలోని సభ్యులు, ప్రముఖ న్యాయవాది శాంతి భూషణ్ సంచలన ప్రకటన చేశారు. సుప్రీంకోర్టు న్యాయమూర్తుల్లో సగం మంది అవినీతిపరులు. దీన్ని నేను నిరూపిస్తాను. నేనీ మాటలు అన్నందుకు నాపై కేసు పెట్టండి, నా మాటల్లో నిజం ఉందని నిరూపిస్తా అని సవాల్ చేశారు. అవినీతిపరులు అంటూ ఆయన కొందరు న్యాయమూర్తుల పేర్లు కూడా ప్రకటించారు. ప్రతిపక్ష నాయకుడు న్యాయస్థానాలను ప్రభావితం చేస్తున్నారని, తమ కేసును రాష్ట్రం నుంచి బదిలీ చేయాలని దివంగత ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్ సతీమణి విజయమ్మ సుప్రీంకోర్టును ఆశ్రయించారు. ‘చంద్రబాబు నాట్ బిఫోర్’ వ్యవహారం విమర్శల పాలైంది. తమిళనాడు ప్రస్తుత ముఖ్యమంత్రి జయలలిత కేసు కర్నాటకలో విచారణ జరుగుతోంది. గుజరాత్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోడిపై కేసు ఆ రాష్ట్రంలో కాకుండా మరో రాష్ట్రంలో విచారణ చేపట్టాలనే డిమాండ్ వచ్చింది. ఇక అలహాబాద్ హైకోర్టు అవినీతిమయం అయిందని స్వయంగా సుప్రీంకోర్టు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేసింది. సుప్రీం కోర్టు చీఫ్‌జస్టిస్‌గా బాధ్యతలు నిర్వహించిన జస్టిస్ బాలకృష్ణపై అవినీతి ఆరోపణలు వచ్చాయి. బలమైన రక్షణ కవచం ఉన్నప్పటికీ న్యాయవ్యవస్థపై ఇంత తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో ఆరోపణలు వస్తున్నాయి, అవి ఉట్టి ఆరోపణలు మాత్రమే కాదు, వాస్తవాలు అని విచారణలో తేలింది.
నిరూపణ అయిన కొన్ని కేసుల్లోనే ఇలా ఉంటే న్యాయవ్యవస్థకు సంబంధించి వాస్తవ పరిస్థితి ఇంకెంత భయంకరంగా ఉంటుందో? ఏ వ్యవస్థ అవినీతికి దూరంగా లేదు అని పదే పదే నిరూపణ అవుతోంది. నైతికంగా వేగంగా పతనం అవుతున్న సమాజంలో ఏదో ఒక వ్యవస్థ పవిత్రంగా ఉందని, మిగిలిన వ్యవస్థలు చెడిపోయాయని చెప్పడం హిపోక్రసీ అవుతుంది. అన్ని వ్యవస్థల్లో మాదిరిగానే న్యాయవ్యవస్థకు సైతం సంస్కరణల చికిత్స అవసరం.
Mega star skips Mogalturu, fearing negative impact
Narsapur: Fearing that the visit of Congress MP and Mogalturu born Chiranjeevi may prove to be counterproductive, the Congress leaders,
reportedly, have asked the actor turned politician to keep himself away from Mogalturu.
Chiranjeevi though earned name and fame; had a little concern towards his own native place.
When local people approached him to lend a helping hand in the construction of a marriage hall and to
set-up a junior and Degree Colleges, their attempts proved futile.
Then Chiranjeevi fans mobilized funds and constructed a library building and named after him as a
token of their respect towards their ‘Hero’.
Ande Bhujanga Rao of Mogalturu speaking to The Hans India said that Chiranjeevi had no moral right to visit his native place.
He had not visited when people suffered during tsunami catastrophe.
He failed to donate even a single pie even to a right cause, he pointed out.
Despite repeated appeals from the locals he failed to lend a helping hand he pointed out.
He was just an actor and failed to measure up to the expectations of the locals, he said

Andhra Jyothy managing director Vemuri Radhakrishna, who has grown to the stature of the managing director of the same daily in which he had worked as an ordinary reporter, seems to have stepped out of the daily.
For strange reasons, Radhakrishna’s name disappeared from the imprint line of the daily since Wednesday and it was replaced by Koganti Venkata Seshagiri Rao as printer and publisher. Rao is said to be Radhakrishna’s brother-in-law. Interestingly, Radhakrishna’s name was also removed as the managing director in the imprint line.
Though it is believed that the change had been effected in view of certain bank obligations of the publishing house, there are reports that the daily was not doing well financially and Radhakrishna is planning for restructuring of the management. May be he is planning to sell a major portion of the equity in the daily to a big player and confine himself to the ABN Andhra Jyothy channel.

The post-NTR TDP saw the reign of Chandrababu Naidu, the most loved Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh ever — in the media. Riding on his father-in-law’s political bank balance — and on a symbolic bicycle at poll time only — he became what the New York Times termed the “darling of Western governments and corporations.” This era also marked the consolidation of the contractor raj that has ruled the State ever since.
Under Naidu, A.P. was the worst-performing State in the south, on many indicators, for nearly a decade. Rural employment collapsed. Many thousands of farmers took their lives in despair. Thousands of (non-state) “gruel centres” sprang up in 2003 to feed large numbers of hungry people.
But the corporate world and media loved him even though he failed any test by the indicators they valued.
GDP growth was the lowest in the southern States for 1999-2004 and lower than the national average.
The voters are yet to forgive him. Even with the Congress going downhill, the TDP is unable to emerge a dominant force in any part of the State.

The bypolls in Andhra Pradesh are less about results, more about consequences. They will produce changes — not alternatives
It might be an idea for the CBI to contest the 2014 elections in Andhra Pradesh. It is certainly the most active political force in the State and has been for a while now. Given the poverty of choice before the Andhra electorate, who knows, they might even get some votes. It could be a self-financing drive, sort of. The CBI could use the crores they’ve seized from the other parties for their poll campaign. And exploit that unique resource of theirs — keeping tabs on the poll spending of their rivals. Maybe they’d even have fresh new faces on offer.
A stand-up comic contesting a seat in Australia in the early 1990s made his campaign a take-off on the emerging neo-liberal order that sought to privatise just about everything. He called for the dismantling and privatisation of the sewage and public sanitation system. “Every individual,” he thundered, “has got to be responsible for his own waste.” (Um, “waste” was not the word he used, but you get the point). Despite proclaiming himself a non-serious candidate towards the end and withdrawing in favour of Labor, he still got some votes. So there’s hope for the CBI yet, if it avoids being labelled as non-serious.
GUESSING GAMES
There’s a new flavour to the ongoing bypolls to 18 Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha constituency in A.P. There is little or no discussion about the likely results. Those have never been in doubt. The guessing games are about who will come third in more seats: the Congress or the TDP (the Congress is the current hot favourite). Or speculation on how many ruling party MLAs will defect to Jagan Reddy’s YSR Congress before voting day on June 12. And how many will do so after the results. About the impact on the State government — will it drag on till 2014? And about margins. But all sides assume a bottom line of 14 Assembly wins for Jagan’s YSR Congress. All that is conceded about the remaining four seats is that they will see real contests.
Otherwise, the ruling party is seen as taking a huge hit regardless of Jagan Reddy’s arrest. There’s not much discussion around who is corrupt. The question you run into: “Who isn’t?” The debate is not so much about the results, but about the consequences. It’s about anger against the ruling Congress, and the way it has functioned. It’s about standing with YSR’s son against the government. And about a persisting YSR factor and its almost comical impact on the Congress. The party has removed all his cut-outs from its offices while attacking his corruption. Till a year ago, it had been claiming his legacy while fighting Jagan in the Kadapa bypoll (which he won by over half a million votes).
The tragedy, of course, is that Andhra Pradesh has never been so bereft of worthwhile alternatives in any election in the past. The roster: Congress, YSRC, TDP, TRS, BJP… Many parties, very few alternatives. (The Left being too small to fit into even this picture.) But such is the anger towards the centrally-imposed crony-subedari system, that the obvious and troubling problems with Jagan’s character and politics will cut no ice for now.
1983 AND NOW
The voters of Andhra Pradesh have forged serious alternatives in the past — even if those were derided by the rulers and their captive media. In January 1983, N.T. Rama Rao swept to power on anti-Congress sentiment and with a promise of rice at Rs.2 a kilo, which he actually kept. A year-and-a-half later, the Congress at the Centre boldly sat on its own self-destruct button. It toppled NTR and split his party while he was away in the U.S. for a heart surgery. It set up a stooge government whose chief minister served 31 days (lowest ever for an A.P. CM). This provoked a public fury that would last over a decade, though NTR was back in a month. The Congress is now again on the tragedy and farce treadmill.
To thwart Jagan Reddy after his father’s death in 2009, the Congress imposed K. Rosaiah as Chief Minister. Rosaiah, a highly respected Congressman, with acknowledged skills as finance minister, had no mass base — and a hostile public mood to contend with. As the ship of state floundered, he quit “on health grounds.” His health, however, did not stop him from becoming a Governor. The Congress government is now led by Kiran Kumar Reddy — of low profile within his constituency and no profile beyond it. His government panicked when the flow of defections to the YSRC began to pick up. The TDP too, is bleeding. Consider that one of its doughtiest fighters, M.V. Mysoora Reddy who battled Jagan in Kadapa 12 months ago, is now with the YSR Congress.

Indeed, Naidu’s rule, more than any other factor, helped the Congress bounce back. With Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the party had its first popular leader in years. “YSR” capitalised on Naidu’s failures (the very things the media saw as achievements). He touched a chord in the agrarian community with his highlighting of farm distress and swept to power on that in 2004. He also became the first chief minister to set up a commission to look into agrarian distress, headed by Prof. Jayati Ghosh. For a while, he even heeded its recommendations, leading to some improvements, even while the macro-economic policies of both State and Centre ran counter to the thrust of the Commission’s report. He ran a decent NREGs that saw distress migrations fall in some regions. He even appropriated NTR’s legacy on the issue of cheap rice. All this earned him massive public support. Which now translates big time into sympathy for his son Jagan Reddy.
On all other fronts, though, his era showed great continuity with the Naidu period. Corruption, contractor raj, scams, land grab and quid pro quo deals with the corporate world, all continued. And intensified. A 103 SEZs and gargantuan irrigation projects were approved in YSR’s time. Setting up the displacement of up to one-and-a-half million human beings, with all the misery that it entailed. However, the results of these were to surface much later, allowing him to sweep the 2009 polls with an electorate that still had no trust in Chandrababu Naidu.
ANTI-CORRUPTION
As this newspaper said in its obituary of the Congress CM after his tragic death: “YSR’s legacy will also carry the burden of some very damaging irrigation projects and a bizarre number of SEZs… (However) The outcome of the more negative policies will be felt later, perhaps around 2012…” (TheHindu, September 4, 2009). And now we have Jagan Reddy riding high on the positive side of his father’s legacy — with much of the negative also unfolding. Jagan entered the Assembly last year via the Kadapa by-election where his poll affidavit placed his worth, along with that of his wife, at around Rs.430 crore. Now that worth had been, at the time of the 2009 Lok Sabha election, just under Rs.72 crore. This means he added Rs.357 crore to his assets in some 24 months. Or, on average, around Rs.50 lakh a day. No small feat.
However, the sight of the Congress, of all forces, mounting an anti-corruption crusade draws ridicule from the public. And the fact that these charges were known since the time of YSR but raised only after Jagan left the party robs them of respect. And it is hard, at this point, to see any other major force emerge before 2014. And so a State faced again with mounting farm suicides, with massive forced displacement, with the Telangana issue hanging fire, with the insane looting of public and natural resources, seems trapped on the same road. Elections with changes, but without alternatives. Heck, maybe the CBI ought to give some thought to contesting in 2014.

While the entire YSR family was in distress and had gone on a fast following Jagan’s arrest and subsequent imprisonment, family friend K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao and wife Suneetha did not show up to express their solidarity. Two days after the arrest, and after Vijayamma and Sharmila set out on their election campaign, Suneetha went to Lotus Pond to console lone member Bharati Reddy. Apparently, some of the relatives present pulled up Suneetha for not being present when Vijayamma was fasting. Having sent his wife to complete the formalities, KVP chose to remain silent and stay away.

సురేఖ గారు, తెలంగాణా ప్రజల భావాలకు అనుగుణంగా రాజీనామా చేసారు, కాని అది ఆమోదించలేదు. తర్వాత రైతుల కోసం అవిశ్వాస తీర్మానానికి మద్దతు పలికారు. ఆ విధంగా తెలంగాణ ప్రజల పక్షాన, రైతుల పక్షాన నిలిచారు.
కాంగ్రెస్ మరియు తెలుగు దేశం నాయకులు, అధినేతలు, తెలంగాణా గురించి వారి అభిప్రాయం చెప్పారు గాని ఈరోజు నన్ను చెప్పమంటున్నారు. నేను తెలంగాణా వస్తే, లేదా రాకపోతే ఉండే సాధక బాధకాల గురించి ఆలోచించలేదు. ఎందుకంటే నేను ఇలా ప్రచారానికి రావలసి వస్తుందని ఊహించలేదు. అనుకోని పరిస్తుతుల్లో రావలసి వచ్చింది. కాని ఆనాడు పార్టీ ప్లీనరీ లో చెప్పిన దానికి కట్టుబడి ఉంటాము.

తెలంగాణా నిర్ణయం కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ పరిదిలోనిది, వాళ్ళు కావాలనే జాప్యం చేస్తూ కల్లోలం సృష్టిస్తున్నారు. వాళ్ళ చేతిలో ఉన్న విషయం గురించి వాళ్ళు మాట్లాడకుండా నన్ను అడిగితే నేను ఏమి చెప్పగలను. రకరకాల కుట్రలు చేస్తూ వై ఎస్ ఆర్ గవరవాన్ని జగన్ బాబు ప్రతిష్టను బ్రష్టు పట్టిచాలని ప్రయత్నితున్నారు. ఆ కుట్రలను కుతంత్రాలను అడ్డుకున్దాము.
ఆ తర్వాత మిగతా ప్రసంగాన్ని యధాతధంగా కంటిన్యూ చేస్తే బాగుంటుంది…..
We should respect the sentiments of both the regions. We should arrive at a solution which would satisfy both. If it is separate state, as long as the interests and sentiments of both the parties are taken care, fine. What is important is the development . education, health etc etc
Murthy garu, I totally agree with you. But, for this election I think that may not go well. For general election, the party should definitely do a thorough analysis by including a committee with leader from both the regions and come up with a mutual consensus to include in the manifesto, and make sure the entire party is responsible for the decision., instead of blaming leaders on either side. It should be more of a scientific decision with in the party, and must different from all other regular political parties.
None of these will cut any ice. Only thing that will work is an unanmbigous stand in favor of Telangana formation. Otherwise Jagan can forget Telangana.
Jagan’s displaying anti-Telangana placards is stil fresh in the people’s minds. Erasing this will not be easy.

Last 2days left for campaign. Do and Die for the 2 main parties. Congress TDP can stoop to any extent now with the media and power in their hand. They may create some morphed pictures just to sensationalize the matters. As Lagadapati’s 2nd marriage pictures are released he might stoop to any extent. If they release just 2 days before the elections the other party will not have much time to respond also. So our party should be vigilant to counter any situation.
All this shows how scared a 100 yr old party and a 30 yr old party is scared of a less than 40 yr old Dynamic son of a Legend even after putting him in prison for no reason.

They work on a simple Concept of Problem-Reaction-Solution. The same think-tank that created the problem offers the solution.

2.Reaction: Make people panic through crap shows like this, showing a boogey International reason.
3.Solution: Offer solutions that change the system towards their end goals of control.
They are desperately trying various means to get the likes of Walmart into India. This is a new trick.

To an extent, Karan is right.. commodity prices cannot be de-linked from global activity. See for example, prices of oil, gold etc move as per NYMEX or bullion futures market. If we allow foreign funds into more sectors then we will more linked to global economy than we are now. If the global economy is facing inflation then we cannot escape. But it seems to me that we have more inflationary pressures than other developed economies and it wont stop in a hurry. But what we need to see is if the funds flow is transparent and do not benefit politicians.

I remember when he was doing the deeksha for United-AP in Vijayawada, this woman was trying to get closer to the dias, and she was either pushed out or sent away. The TV cameras deliberately did not show that incident.
Once again the issue of Lagadapati Rajagopal’s second wife issue is back in the news.
This issue, incidentally was brought back into the news by a lawyer by name Velluri Srinivas Reddy.
Velluri Srinivas Reddy allegedly suffered an acid attack two years back and at that time he blamed the Lagadapati’s first wife for that incident. However, no one took him seriously back then.
Then all of a sudden, he has once again brought this issue into the frontpages.
He once again blamed Lagadapati Rajagopal’s first wife, Padma and her father and ex-minister, Parvathaneni Upendra, for the attack.
He claimed that since he introduced a Brahmin lady by name Janaki Iyer to Lagadapati, Padma developed a grudge towards him!
Who is Janaki Iyer? Is she the ‘second wife’ of Lagadapati Rajagopal? Well, Lagadapti never revealed the identity of his second wife and there are many rumors regarding the true identity of Lagadapati’s second wife and some TDP leaders even claimed long time back that she is the sister of a famous Muslim Congress leader from Vijayawada.
Incidentally Lagadapati Rajagopal declared that he has a third son by name ‘Harman’. While Padma and Lagadapati has two sons, the third son of Lagadapati is from his second wife, say sources.

న్యూఢిల్లీ, సాక్షి ప్రతినిధి: ‘‘ఇది విడ్డూరం. నమ్మలేకపోతున్నాం. జగన్ను వెంటనే తీహార్ జైలుకు తరలించేందుకు మేం ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నామని, ఆయన్ను ఫలానా ప్రాంతంలో విచారించటానికి ఇప్పటికే ప్రణాళిక సిద్ధం చేసుకున్నామని చెప్పటం.. బుద్ధి లేని రాతలు. మీకు (పత్రికలకు) రాజకీయాలు ఉన్నాయేమో. కొందరు రాజకీయనాయకులను సంతృప్తి పరచటానికి మీరు ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారేమో. కానీ మాకు రాజకీయాలు లేవు.. మేం అలా చేయం’’ – ‘ఈనాడు’ దినపత్రిక ‘పిలుస్తోంది ఈడీ’ అన్న శీర్షికతో బుధవారం ప్రచురించిన కథనంపై ‘సాక్షి’ ప్రత్యేక ప్రతినిధి అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు.. ఎన్‌ఫోర్స్‌మెంట్ డెరైక్టరేట్ (ఈడీ), కేంద్ర ఆర్థిక మంత్రిత్వ శాఖల్లోని ఉన్నతస్థాయి వర్గాల స్పందన ఇది. ‘ఈనాడు’ కథనం చూసి ఆ వర్గాలు నవ్వేశాయి. ‘‘ఇంతకుముందు ఎవరో బయటి వ్యక్తులు చెప్పారంటూ ఒక కథనం రాసి.. అది మా అధికారులకు ఆపాదించిన పత్రికే కదా ఇది?’’ అంటూ ఎగతాళి చేశాయి కూడా. మారిషస్ నుంచి ప్రైవేట్ షెల్ కంపెనీ ద్వారా జగన్‌కు చాలా డబ్బు చేరినట్టు ఈడీ గుర్తించేసిందంటూ ‘6 దేశాల్లో ఆరా’ అనే పతాక శీర్షికన ‘ఈనాడు’ మే 31వ తేదీన ఒక కట్టుకథ ప్రచురించింది. ఈ ‘రహస్యాన్ని’ స్వయంగా ఈడీ అధిపతి ఎస్.ఎస్.దావ్రా, ప్రత్యేక డెరైక్టర్ ఎస్.ఎస్.వాజ్‌పేయిల సన్నిహిత వర్గాలే తన చెవిన వేశాయంటూ నమ్మబలికింది. కానీ నిజానికి అలాంటి పేరుతో డెరైక్టర్, ప్రత్యేక డెరైక్టర్లు కాదు కదా.. కనీసం మామూలు అధికారులు కూడా ప్రస్తుతం ఈడీలో ఎవరూ లేరు! ఈ విషయాన్ని ఈడీ అధికారులే స్వయంగా నిర్ధారించారు. ‘‘అలాంటి పేరున్న అధికారులెవరూ ప్రస్తుతం మా విభాగంలో లేరు. ఈడీ డెరైక్టర్ పేరు రాజన్ కటోచ్. ఇక ప్రత్యేక డెరైక్టర్లు ఎస్.కె.సాహ్నీ, బలేశ్‌కుమార్’’ అని వారు ఆనాడే స్పష్టం చేశారు. తాజాగా అలాంటి కట్టుకథనే ‘ఈనాడు’ మళ్లీ ఈడీ పేరుతో వండి వార్చింది. దీని గురించి ఈడీ, కేంద్ర ఆర్థికశాఖల్లోని ఉన్నతస్థాయి వర్గాలను ‘సాక్షి’ సంప్రదిస్తే.. వారు అదంతా వట్టి అబద్ధమని కొట్టిపారేశారు.
ఇంకా పత్రాలను పరిశీలిస్తున్నాం…
జగన్ కేసులో ఈడీ దర్యాప్తు ఇప్పుడు ఏ దశలో ఉందని అడగగా.. ‘‘ఆరోపణలను పరిశీలించేందుకు మేం సీబీఐ సహకారాన్ని కోరుతున్నాం. సంబంధించిన పత్రాల్లో కొన్ని పత్రాలను సేకరించాం. ప్రస్తుతం వాటిని పరిశీలిస్తున్నాం. ఆ వివరాలను మేం గుర్తించిన వాటితో సరిచూసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. ఇక్కడ మనం మాట్లాడుకుంటున్న మనీ లాండరింగ్ తదితర అంశాలు చాలా క్లిష్టమైనవి.. దానికి సమయం పడుతుంది’’ అని ఆ వర్గాలు వివరించాయి. జగన్ను ‘ఈడీ కస్టడీలోకి తీసుకోవటం’ అనివార్యంగా జరుగుతుందా? అని ప్రశ్నించగా.. ‘‘ఎవరైనా ఒక వ్యక్తి మా విచారణకు అందుబాటులో లేకపోతే.. సదరు వ్యక్తి కస్టడీ కోసం కోరుతాం. అలాంటి సందర్భాల్లో కూడా మేం ముందు సమన్లు జారీ చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. మేం స్పందన కోసం వేచి చూస్తాం. బహుశా ఓ రెండు సార్లు సమన్లు జారీ చేసిన తర్వాత.. ఆ సమన్లకు ఎలాంటి స్పందనా లేకపోతే.. సదరు వ్యక్తిని కస్టడీకి అందించాలని ఏ కోర్టు ద్వారానైనా కోరుతాం. ఇక్కడ ఆయన (జగన్) ఇప్పటికే జ్యుడీషియల్ కస్టడీలో ఉన్నారు. సీబీఐ కస్టడీలో ఉన్నారు. ఆయన్ని తాజాగా కస్టడీలోకి తీసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఎక్కడుంది? ఇక విచారణ అంటారా..? అవును. జరగొచ్చు. ఆయన్ను ఢిల్లీకి తరలిస్తారన్న మాట కూడా ఈ దశలో అసందర్భం, అవాంఛనీయం. అలా ఏమైనా చేయాలంటే మేం కోర్టు అనుమతి తీసుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుంది’’ అని స్పష్టం చేశాయి.
విదేశాలకూ ఏ బృందాన్నీ పంపలేదు…
‘ఈనాడు’ పేర్కొన్న విధంగా.. ఏవైనా దర్యాప్తు బృందాలను విదేశాలకు పంపించారా? అని ప్రశ్నించగా.. ఈడీ వర్గాలు నవ్వేస్తూ.. ‘‘మేం ఏం చేయాలని మీరనుకుంటున్నారు? మేం ఏదైనా చేసే ముందు ఆ (ఈనాడు) విలేకరిని సంప్రదించాలా? ప్రతి రోజూ ఆయనకు వివరించాలా? ఆ విలేకరి మా గురించి ఏదైనా కథనం రాసే ముందు మా పనితీరు గురించి కొన్ని ప్రాధమిక విషయాలు తెలుసుకోవాలి. ఆ విషయానికి వస్తే.. ఏ కథనం రాసే ముందైనా దానికి సంబంధించిన ప్రాధమిక విషయాలు తెలుసుకోవాలి. ఏదేమైనా.. మేం ఇప్పుడు ఆ పత్రాలను పరిశీలించటం మొదలుపెట్టాం. మేం ఏం చేయాలో అది చేస్తాం. అక్రమంగా సంపాదించిన సొమ్మును అటాచ్ చేయటం మాకు చాలా ముఖ్యం.. అందులో కూడా మేం చట్టపరమైన ప్రక్రియను పాటిస్తాం. మా పరిధిలోకి వచ్చే నేరాలు ఏవైనా జరిగాయా అన్న విషయాన్ని మేం పరిశీలిస్తున్నాం. మాకు తెలిసయితే ఇప్పటివరకూ ఏ బృందాన్నీ విదేశాలకు పంపలేదు’’ అని ఆ వర్గాలు పేర్కొన్నాయి. ‘‘మామూలుగా మనీలాండరింగ్ ప్రక్రియలో మూడు దశలు ఉంటాయి. ప్లేస్‌మెంట్ (మనీ లాండరర్ అక్రమ సొమ్మును దాచటం.. ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థలోకి తీసుకురావటం), లేయరింగ్ (నిధుల ప్రవాహ పరంపరలు, మార్పిడులు జరగటం), ఇంటిగ్రేషన్ (పై రెండు దశల్లో విజయం సాధించి.. ఆ సొమ్మును దర్జాగా ఉపయోగించుకోవటం). ప్రతి అంశాన్నీ మేం క్షుణ్నంగా పరిశోధిస్తాం. మేం చేసే ప్రతి ఆరోపణనూ కేసు నడిచే ప్రతి కోర్టులోనూ తిప్పికొట్టవచ్చు, సవాల్ చేయవచ్చు’’ అని ఆ వర్గాలు వివరించాయి.

ఆస్తుల అటాచ్‌మెంట్ అంశం గురించి ఈడీ వర్గాలు పేర్కొంటూ.. ‘‘ఎవరైనా ఒక వ్యక్తి.. నేరపూరితంగా సంపాదించిన ఆస్తులను కలిగివున్నట్లు మేం విశ్వసించటానికి కారణం ఉన్నట్లయితే.. సదరు వ్యక్తి షెడ్యూల్డు నేరానికి పాల్పడినట్లు అభియోగం నమోదైతే.. సదరు ఆస్తుల అటాచ్‌మెంట్‌ను మేం కోరుతాం. ఈ షెడ్యూల్డు నేరంలో మూడు విభాగాలున్నాయి. మొదటి విభాగం.. దేశంపై తిరుగుబాటు చేయటం, నకిలీ నోట్లు చెలామణీ చేయటం, మాదకద్రవ్యాల చట్టం కింద నేరాలకు సంబంధించినది. రెండు, మూడు విభాగాల కిందకు.. రూ. 30 లక్షలకు పైగా విలువగల అంశాలకు సంబంధించిన నేరాలు, సీమాంతర నేరాలు వస్తాయి. ఏదేమైనా.. అటాచ్‌మెంట్ అంటే సదరు ఆస్తులను సంబంధీకులు విక్రయించటం కానీ, కదిలించటం కానీ చేయరాదని మాత్రమే అర్థం. దానికి సంబంధించిన రోజు వారీ లావాదేవీలు, సాధారణ కార్యక్రమాలను నిలిపివేయటం కాదు. అయినప్పటికీ.. ఈ దర్యాప్తు అంశాలు, ప్రక్రియలన్నింటినీ ఉన్నత న్యాయస్థానాల్లో సవాలు చేయవచ్చు’’ అని ఆ వర్గాలు వివరించాయి.

The betting syndicate in the state is working overtime ahead of the bypolls in the state with bookies putting YSR Congress firmly in the driver’s seat with 17 wins. In the 18th constituency, Parkal, it’s neck and neck between the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and the BJP.
Sources in the multi-crore betting industry told this newspaper that the odds were stacked heavily for the YSR Congress to win wherein for a Rs 100 bet on the party, one would get back Rs 200 whereas for a Rs 100 bet on the Congress, the returns are Rs 1,000.
In the Nellore Lok Sabha constituency too, people are betting heavily on the outcome between Congress nominee T. Subbarami Reddy and YSR Congress candidate Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy. Punters are also willing to put 10 times more money on the YSR Congress expecting a big win in the byelections whereas the Congress is second favourite.
It is very difficult to predict about Parakala seat . Even TRS is not sure about the result. It is in the hands of the people and we have to hope for the best. We will sweep the rest.

The morning began with two toilets occupying national mindspace. A Right to Information application revealed that the Planning Commission has spent 35 lakhs on renovating two toilets at its offices in Delhi. Five lakhs had been invested on installing a system that would limit entry to the toilets to electronic card holders.

The surveys show that large support base of the Congress party is fast eroding. As the widow of the late chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, there is a new found loyalty for her among the sections that matter much for any election.

You invite me for an open debate with a pre-condition, that I need to a fan of a particular artist. No thanks, for I have pretty good working ceiling-fans at my home. I have better, holistic and broader view on various social, political and economical issues. To me, politics and stage dramas are different. నా నియోజకవర్గ ప్రజలను, తెలంగాణ ప్రజలను ఒక విషయం సూటిగా అడగుతున్నా “పదకొండు సంవత్సరాల కింద కేసీఆర్ పార్టీ పెట్టిండు. ఎందుకు పెట్టిండు? తెలంగాణ తేవడానికి! కానీ, వచ్చిందా? లేదు. ఆ పార్టీ వల్ల తెలంగాణ రాదన్న విషయం కేసీఆర్ కు స్పష్టంగా తెలుసు. మరెందుకు పెట్టాడో తెలుసా… వసూళ్ల కోసం. పచ్చి దగాకోరు మాటలతో ప్రజలను మాయ చేసి, మభ్య పెట్టి పదకొండేళ్లుగా వారి రక్తం పీలుస్తున్నాడు. సీమాంధ్ర పార్టీలు తెలంగాణకు చేస్తున్న మోసం కంటే కేసీఆర్ చేస్తున్నమోసమే పెద్దది. అలాంటి వ్యక్తికి ఓటు వేయవచ్చా?” అని ఆమె ప్రశ్నించారు. పరకాల ఉప ఎన్నికల్లో భాగంగా విజయమ్మ, షర్మిల, కొండా మురళి, కొండా సురేఖ శుక్రవారం నియోజకవర్గంలో ప్రచారం నిర్వహించారు. జనం పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో వారి రోడ్ షోలకు తరలివచ్చారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా కొండా సురేఖ ఘాటు వ్యాఖలు చేశారు.
తెలంగాణలో కేసీఆర్, కేటీఆర్, కవిత, హరీష్ రావు, ఈటెల రాజేందర్, కోదండరామిరెడ్డి – అలీబాబు అరడజను దొంగలన్నారు. వారు తెలంగాణను దోచుకోవడానికే పుట్టారన్నారు. ఈ పదకొండేళ్లలో ఆయన ఏం చేశాడంటే ఎనిమిది వందల మంది ప్రాణాలు బలితీసుకున్నాడు. వేల కోట్లు సంపాదించాడు అని సురేఖ మండిపడ్డారు. ఉద్యమం పెట్టిన రోజు కేసీఆర్ కొడుకు, కూతురు అమెరికాలో ఉద్యోగం చేసుకుంటూ ఉండేవాళ్లు. ” నా పిల్లలు అమెరికాలో ఉన్నారు, నాకున్నది ఒకటే పని, తెలంగాణ కోసం పోరాడటం” అని చెప్పిన కేసీఆర్ ముందు కొడుకును ఇక్కడికి తెచ్చాడు. ఎందుకో తెలుసా అక్కడ వస్తున్న జీతం కంటే ఇక్కడ వచ్చే వసూళ్లు ఎక్కువున్నాయి కాబట్టి. తెలంగాణ పెద్దది కదా… వాళ్లిద్దరే దోచుకోవడం కష్టమని, కూతుర్ని కూడా తీసుకువచ్చారు. అల్లుడితో పాటు కుటుంబ సభ్యులందరినీ పదవుల్లో కూర్చోబెట్టాడు. అసలు ఉద్యమకారులకు పదవులు అవసరమా అని ఆమె ప్రశ్నించారు?. రేపు కేసీఆర్ పరకాలకు వస్తున్నాడు. “బిక్షపతిని గెలిపించండి. బిక్షపతిని ఓటు వేసి గెలిపిస్తే మూడు నెలల్లో తెలంగాణ తెస్తానని ఊకదంపుడు ఉపన్యాసాలు ఇస్తారు. తేలేకపోతే మెడ కోసుకుంటాను’ అంటారు. మీరు కనుక ఆ విషయాన్ని నమ్మి ఆయనకు ఓటేస్తే జూన్ పదిహేను నుంచి బిక్షపతి వసూళ్ల రాజ్యం మొదలుపెడతాడు అని ఆమె తీవ్రంగా దుయ్యబట్టారు. చాలా రోజులుగా చూస్తున్నా, మాట్లాడితే మెడకోసుకుంటా అంటాడు… అప్పట్నుంచి చూస్తున్నా, మెడ కాదు కదా వేలు కూడా కోసుకోలేదు. మరో పదకొండేళ్లయినా ఇలాగే కబుర్లు చెబుతుంటాడు. అయితే, వినడానికి మాత్రం ప్రజలు సిద్ధంగా ఉండరు. కేసీఆర్ మాయలు తెలిసిపోయాయి కాబట్టే పాలమూరులో తరిమికొట్టారని ఆమె అన్నారు.
కార్పొరేట్ కాలేజీలను -హరీష్ రావు, సినిమాలను-కవిత, పరిశ్రమలను-కేటీఆర్, వ్యాపారాలను-ఈటెల రాజేందర్ గుత్తకు పంచుకుని వసూళ్లు చేస్తున్నారని ఆమె తీవ్రంగా ఆరోపించారు. అదుర్స్ సినిమాను తెలంగాణలో నిలిపివేస్తే ఐదు కోట్లు తీసుకుని కవిత డీల్ సెటిల్ చేసిందని, ఆ డబ్బుతో బంజారాహిల్స్ లో భవంతి కొనుక్కుందని ఆమె ఆరోపించారు. అలీబాబా అరడజను దొంగలు కలిసి దోచుకుతింటున్నారని విమర్శించారు.

కొంతమంది స్నేహితులు నన్ను అడుగుతుంటారు నువ్వెందుకు జగన్మోహన్ రెడ్డిని సపోర్ట్ చేస్తున్నావ్, ఆయన అవినీతి పరుడు కదా అని. జగన్ అవినీతి చేసాడా లేదా అన్న విషయం పక్కనపెట్టి అసలు అవినీతి మరక అంటని నాయకుడు మన రాష్ట్రంలో ఎవరైనా ఉన్నారా అని ఆలోచిస్తే నాకైతే ఎవరూ కనపడరు. ఎప్పుడూ నీతులు చెప్పే అలవాటున్న ఒక కొత్త పార్టీ నాయకుడు గురించి కొంతమంది చెప్తారు. కాకపోతే ఆయనమీద కూడా కొన్ని పుకార్లు షికారు చేస్తున్నాయి. ఒక మహానాయకుడు చనిపోయిన తరుణంలో సూట్కేసుల్లో డబ్బులు తరలించాడనే అపవాదు ఆ నాయకుడి మీద ఉంది. అది నిజమో కాదో ఖచ్చితంగా తెలియనంతవరకు ఆయన మాత్రం నీతిమంతుడు అని ఎందుకు నమ్మాలి. అసలు అవునో కాదో తెలియాలంటే నిఖార్సైన దర్యాప్తు జరగాలి కదా. కాని జరిగే దర్యాప్తుల్లో కూడా పూర్తి పక్షపాత ధోరణే కనిపిస్తుంది. అధికారంలో ఉన్న నాయకులు ప్రత్యర్థుల మీద కక్ష తీర్చుకోవడాని దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలను జేబు సంస్థలుగా మార్చుకుంటున్నారు. చివరకు న్యాయస్థానాలను కూడా వీలైతే దుర్వినియోగం చేస్తున్నారు లేదంటే తప్పుదారి పట్టిస్తున్నారు.
అసలు జగన్ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలోనే కొనసాగుంటే దర్యాప్తు జరిగేదా అని ఆలోచిస్తే ఖచ్చితంగా జరిగేది కాదు అని మాత్రం అందరికి తెలుసు. ఒక్క్కడిని చేసి ఇంతమంది రాబందుల్లా పీడిస్తున్నారనే కోపంతోనే జగన్ మీద చాలా మందికి సానుభూతి ఏర్పడింది. జగన్ కు ఓటు వేసేవాళ్ళందరూ చదువు, సంధ్య లేని పేద ప్రజలు అని కొంతమంది అంటారు. దేశ విదేశాల్లో జగన్ సానుభూతిపరులు లక్షల్లో ఉన్నారనే విషయం గమనించాలి. చదువుకున్నోళ్ళు వెళ్లి ఓటు వేస్తారా అంటే వేయరు. ఎందుకంటే స్వార్థం. వాళ్ళ సొంత పనులే వాళ్ళకు ముఖ్యం. కాకపోతే అవినీతి గురించి లెక్చర్లు దంచడానికి మాత్రం సిద్ధంగా ఉంటారు. ఓటు హక్కు వినియోగించుకునే పేదప్రజలకు రాజకీయ చైతన్యం లేదు అనుకుంటే అది పొరపాటే అవుతుంది.వాళ్ళు జరుగుతున్న పరిణామాలను చాలా జాగ్రత్తగా గమనిస్తున్నారు. మన రాజకీయాల్లో సత్య హరిశ్చంద్రులు ఎవరూ లేరని వాళ్ళకు బాగా తెలుసు. ఇక్కడ కేవలం స్వార్థపూరిత రాజకీయాలు మాత్రమే నడుస్తున్నాయనే నగ్న సత్యాన్ని వాళ్ళు ఎప్పుడో పసిగట్టేసారు.
జగన్ మీద చూపిస్తున్న కక్ష స్వాతంత్ర్య భారత దేశ చరిత్రలో ఎప్పుడైనా చూసామా? వేరే రాష్ట్రాల్లో కొంతవరకు జరగడం చూసామే కాని మన రాష్ట్రంలో మాత్రం ఎప్పుడూ జరగలేదు. కేవలం ప్రత్యర్థులను డిఫెన్సు లో పడేయడానికి అవినీతి ప్రస్తావన తెచ్చేవాళ్ళు. అంతే గాని తెగే వరకు తీగ లాగే వాళ్ళు కాదు. ఇంత కక్షపూరిత దర్యాప్తు ఇన్నిరోజులుగా జరుగుతుంటే వీళ్ళు తెల్చిన్దేంటి? అనవసరంగా నిమ్మగడ్డ ప్రసాద్ లాంటి పెద్దమనుషులను తీసుకెళ్ళి జైల్లో పెట్టి పరువు తీసారు. కొంతమంది మరీ బరి తెగించి జగన్ లక్షకోట్లు దోచుకున్నాడంటారు.ఏదో ఒక కుళ్ళుతో చెబుతున్న మాటలు తప్పితే అసలు కొంచమైనా ఇంగితముందా అనిపిస్తుంది. వీళ్ళు అభిమానించే నాయకులు ఎంత పెద్ద అవినీతి పరులైనా పట్టించుకోరు. వీళ్ళ ధోరణి వీళ్ళదే.
అన్నా హజారే అవినీతికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ఉద్యమం చేస్తే, ఆ రోజుకు అందరూ సపోర్ట్ చేస్తారు. అన్నా హజారే ఆపేస్తే వెంటనే ఆపేస్తారు. వాళ్ళు ఏదో ఒక స్టైల్ కోసం చేస్తున్నారేమో అనిపిస్తుంది. హజారే ఉద్యమాన్ని జాగ్రత్తగా గమనిస్తే అది కేవలం పట్టణాల వరకు మాత్రమే విస్తరించిందనిపిస్తుంది. వ్యవసాయం మీద, కుల వృత్తుల మీద ఎక్కువగా ఆధారపడిన పల్లెల్లో ఎందుకు విస్తరించలేదంటే దానికి ప్రధాన కారణం అక్కడ ప్రజలకు కావాల్సింది వాళ్ళ కనీస అవసరాలు తీర్చుకోవడం. వాళ్ళ అవసరాలు తీరక అతికష్టం మీద బ్రతుకు బండి ఈడ్చుతుంటే హజారే ఉద్యమంలో పాల్గొనే తీరిక, చైతన్యం వాళ్ళకెందుకు ఉంటుంది? ఒక పని చేయాలంటే మనకు ముందు మన శరీరంలో శక్తీ ఉండాలి కదా! వాళ్ళ కడుపుమండితే పుట్టేది తీవ్రవాదమే గాని, సాదాసీదా ఉద్యమాలు కాదు. వైఎస్ఆర్ ఆరోగ్యశ్రీ పెట్టకముందు ఎంతమందికి పెద్దజబ్బు చేస్తే ఖచ్చితంగా బ్రతుకుతామనే భరోసా ఉండేది? ఫీజు రిఇమ్బర్స్మెంట్ పెట్టకముందు ఎంత మంది పైచదువులు చదివే వాళ్ళు? ప్రకాశం జిల్లాకు సంబందించిన ఒక పేద మహిళ వైఎస్ఆర్ గారి గురించి అన్న మాటలు ‘పేదవాడు కలలో కూడా ఉహించని ఒక కొత్త ప్రపంచాన్ని సృష్టించి వెళ్ళిపోయాడు మా రాజన్న’అని. ఈ మాటలు చాలవా వాళ్ల జీవితాలను ఈ పథకాలు ఎలా మార్చాయో తెలియచెప్పడానికి.
మనకు రాజకీయనాయకులని ఎప్పుడూ రాజకీయ కోణంలోనే చూడటం అలవాటు. తండ్రి మహానేతైనా లేదా రోజు వారి కూలి అయినా ఆ బిడ్డకు మాత్రం తండ్రే. ఆ తండ్రి ఆస్తితో పాటు ఆయన ఆశయాలను ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్ళాల్సిన భాద్యత కూడా అందరికన్నా ఆ బిడ్డకే ఎక్కువగా ఉంటుంది. ఇక్కడ జగన్ కూడా అందరిలాగే ఆలోచించాడు. అంతే కాని ఒక రాజకీయనాయకుడిలా మాత్రం ఆలోచించలేదని నా లాంటి వాళ్ల విశ్వాసం. తండ్రికిచ్చిన మాటకోసం ఎందాకైనా సరే అనే పట్టుదలతో పోరాడుతున్నాడే తప్ప అదేదో పదవికాంక్షతోనో, లేక డబ్బు మదంతోనో కాదు. డబ్బుకు విలువ ఇచ్చేవాడైతే ఎప్పుడో వెళ్లి ఇటాలియన్ గాంధీ కాళ్ళదగ్గర ఉండేవాడు. మనము ఎంతో మంది మహా నాయకులను చూసాం. వాళ్ళు చనిపోయిన తరువాత వాళ్ళ పుత్రరత్నాలు ఎంతమంది వాళ్ల ఆశయాలను ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్ళడానికి ప్రయత్నించారు. మన రాష్ట్రానికి సంబందించిన పెద్దనాయకుల గురించి ఒక్కసారి ఆలోచిస్తేనే ఈ విషయం కళ్ళకు కట్టినట్లు అవగతం అవుతుంది.
కష్టపడకుండా అందలం ఎక్కాలంటే అది కొంతమంది స్వార్థపరులకే సాధ్యం. కాని వాళ్ళు పేదవాడి హృదయాలో స్థానం దక్కించుకున్న దాఖలాలు చరిత్రలో లేదు. సహనంతో కూడిన సాహసంతో, గుండెధైర్యమే ఊపిరిగా, మెండైన ఆత్మవిశ్వాసంతో ముందుకెళ్ళే నాయకుడిని ప్రజలు ఎప్పుడూ ఆదరిస్తారు అనేది సత్యం.

According to internal assessments by political parties, TRS seems to have established a clear lead in Parkal followed by Ms. Surekha, the BJP, Congress and the TD. Of the 17 other by-polls being held in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, the lone by-poll in the Telangana region is dominated by the Telangana issue. While key leaders of the Congress, TD and YSRC have toured all the segments more than twice, in Parkal, the campaign has by and large been confined to Telangana leaders, with several Congress leaders even keeping off the campaign following the party’s non-committal stand on the Telangana issue.
Opinion is divided on how the TRS or YSRC or BJP will be helped by other political parties like Congress and TD who have come to the conclusion that they are out of the running in Parkal. Interestingly, the TD does not want TRS to win in Parkal as they fear an exodus from the party to TRS after the by-polls. In such a scenario, it remains to be seen who the TD cadres will extend cooperation to, the BJP or the YSRC.
Some Congress party cadres want TRS to win in Parkal as they hope that the Congress high command will announce ‘some favourable’ decision on Telangana. If the TRS loses, they feel that Telangana will not become a state. Some Congress leaders have decided to quit if the high command does not concede statehood for Telangana. At the same time they do not want to join the TRS and hope Ms. Surekha wins so that YSRC will register its identity in Telangana which is then likely to bring about political changes.

విజయమ్మ గారి పరకాల స్పీచ్ సరిగా లేదు. మనము మాట్లాడే ప్రతి మాట ప్రజల హృదయాలని తాకాలి. జగన్ అన్న ,YSR ని చూసి నేర్చోకోవాలి ఎవరయినా సరే. అన్న ,తమ్ముడు, అక్క ,అవ్వ అని సంబోదిస్తూ నమస్కారం చేస్తారు. ఈ రోజుల్లో అమ్మ, అయ్యా అని దండాలు పెడితే నే వోట్లు సామాన్య జనం నుండి వచ్చేది. ఎ మాత్రం తర్జన చూపించినా సరే మన పరిస్థతి శ్రీ మాన్ బొల్లి బాబు లాగా తయారవుతుంది.

బెయిల్ కోసం మూడు కోట్ల రూపాయలు చెల్లించినట్టు తొలుత వార్తలు వచ్చాయి, తరువాత అది పది కోట్లకు, అంటు నుంచి 15 కోట్లకు, చివరకు కొందరు 60 కోట్లకు చేర్చారు. ఏదో జరిగింది కానీ ఏం జరిగింది, ఎవరి పాత్ర ఏమిటీ? అనేది సిబిఐ చెప్పడం లేదు. ఈ వ్యవహారంలో ఏం జరిగిందో సిబిఐ అధికారికంగా వెల్లడించలేదు. జగన్‌కు బెయిల్ రాకుండా ఆపడానికి ఇదో ఎత్తుగడ అనే వాదన ఒకటుంది. ఏం జరిగిందో, ఎవరు ముట్టచెప్పారో, ఎంత ముట్టచెప్పారో అధికారికంగా వెల్లడించాల్సిన బాధ్యత సిబిఐపై ఉంది. బెయిల్ కోసం ముడుపుల వ్యవహారం బయటపడగానే కొందరు రాజకీయ నాయకులు దిగ్భ్రాంతి వ్యక్తం చేయడం ఆశ్చర్యకరమైన వ్యవహారం. అందులోనూ అనుభజ్ఞులే ఎక్కువ దిగ్భ్రాంతి చెందారు. న్యాయవ్యవస్థకు ఒక మంచి ఉద్దేశంతో రక్షణ కవచం ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. మిగిలిన వ్యవస్థలపై ఆరోపణలు చేసినంత సులభంగా న్యాయవ్యవస్థపై ఆరోపణలు చేయడానికి అవకాశం లేదు. అది కోర్టు ధిక్కారం కిందకు వస్తుంది. ఈ రక్షణ సమాజానికి మంచి చేయడానికి ఉపయోగపడాలి కానీ పట్టాభి రామారావులను రక్షించడానికి ఉపయోగపడితే ఏం ప్రయోజనం. న్యాయస్థానాల్లో ఇలాంటి వ్యవహారాలకు పట్టాభి రామారావు మొదటి వ్యక్తి కాదు చివరి వ్యక్తి కాదు. 1949లోనే జస్టిస్ సిన్హాను పార్లమెంటు అభిశంసించింది. అన్నాహజారే నాయకత్వంలో అవినీతికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ఉద్యమం సాగుతున్న సమయంలో ఆయన బృందంలోని సభ్యులు, ప్రముఖ న్యాయవాది శాంతి భూషణ్ సంచలన ప్రకటన చేశారు. సుప్రీంకోర్టు న్యాయమూర్తుల్లో సగం మంది అవినీతిపరులు. దీన్ని నేను నిరూపిస్తాను. నేనీ మాటలు అన్నందుకు నాపై కేసు పెట్టండి, నా మాటల్లో నిజం ఉందని నిరూపిస్తా అని సవాల్ చేశారు. అవినీతిపరులు అంటూ ఆయన కొందరు న్యాయమూర్తుల పేర్లు కూడా ప్రకటించారు. ప్రతిపక్ష నాయకుడు న్యాయస్థానాలను ప్రభావితం చేస్తున్నారని, తమ కేసును రాష్ట్రం నుంచి బదిలీ చేయాలని దివంగత ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్ సతీమణి విజయమ్మ సుప్రీంకోర్టును ఆశ్రయించారు. ‘చంద్రబాబు నాట్ బిఫోర్’ వ్యవహారం విమర్శల పాలైంది. తమిళనాడు ప్రస్తుత ముఖ్యమంత్రి జయలలిత కేసు కర్నాటకలో విచారణ జరుగుతోంది. గుజరాత్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోడిపై కేసు ఆ రాష్ట్రంలో కాకుండా మరో రాష్ట్రంలో విచారణ చేపట్టాలనే డిమాండ్ వచ్చింది. ఇక అలహాబాద్ హైకోర్టు అవినీతిమయం అయిందని స్వయంగా సుప్రీంకోర్టు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేసింది. సుప్రీం కోర్టు చీఫ్‌జస్టిస్‌గా బాధ్యతలు నిర్వహించిన జస్టిస్ బాలకృష్ణపై అవినీతి ఆరోపణలు వచ్చాయి. బలమైన రక్షణ కవచం ఉన్నప్పటికీ న్యాయవ్యవస్థపై ఇంత తీవ్ర స్థాయిలో ఆరోపణలు వస్తున్నాయి, అవి ఉట్టి ఆరోపణలు మాత్రమే కాదు, వాస్తవాలు అని విచారణలో తేలింది.
నిరూపణ అయిన కొన్ని కేసుల్లోనే ఇలా ఉంటే న్యాయవ్యవస్థకు సంబంధించి వాస్తవ పరిస్థితి ఇంకెంత భయంకరంగా ఉంటుందో? ఏ వ్యవస్థ అవినీతికి దూరంగా లేదు అని పదే పదే నిరూపణ అవుతోంది. నైతికంగా వేగంగా పతనం అవుతున్న సమాజంలో ఏదో ఒక వ్యవస్థ పవిత్రంగా ఉందని, మిగిలిన వ్యవస్థలు చెడిపోయాయని చెప్పడం హిపోక్రసీ అవుతుంది. అన్ని వ్యవస్థల్లో మాదిరిగానే న్యాయవ్యవస్థకు సైతం సంస్కరణల చికిత్స అవసరం.

Andhra Jyothy managing director Vemuri Radhakrishna, who has grown to the stature of the managing director of the same daily in which he had worked as an ordinary reporter, seems to have stepped out of the daily.
For strange reasons, Radhakrishna’s name disappeared from the imprint line of the daily since Wednesday and it was replaced by Koganti Venkata Seshagiri Rao as printer and publisher. Rao is said to be Radhakrishna’s brother-in-law. Interestingly, Radhakrishna’s name was also removed as the managing director in the imprint line.
Though it is believed that the change had been effected in view of certain bank obligations of the publishing house, there are reports that the daily was not doing well financially and Radhakrishna is planning for restructuring of the management. The post-NTR TDP saw the reign of Chandrababu Naidu, the most loved Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh ever — in the media. It might be an idea for the CBI to contest the 2014 elections in Andhra Pradesh. It is certainly the most active political force in the State and has been for a while now. Given the poverty of choice before the Andhra electorate, who knows, they might even get some votes. It could be a self-financing drive, sort of. The CBI could use the crores they’ve seized from the other parties for their poll campaign. And exploit that unique resource of theirs — keeping tabs on the poll spending of their rivals. Maybe they’d even have fresh new faces on offer.
A stand-up comic contesting a seat in Australia in the early 1990s made his campaign a take-off on the emerging neo-liberal order that sought to privatise just about everything. He called for the dismantling and privatisation of the sewage and public sanitation system. “Every individual,” he thundered, “has got to be responsible for his own waste.” (Um, “waste” was not the word he used, but you get the point). Despite proclaiming himself a non-serious candidate towards the end and withdrawing in favour of Labor, he still got some votes. So there’s hope for the CBI yet, if it avoids being labelled as non-serious.
GUESSING GAMES
There’s a new flavour to the ongoing bypolls to 18 Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha constituency in A.P. There is little or no discussion about the likely results. Those have never been in doubt. The guessing games are about who will come third in more seats: the Congress or the TDP (the Congress is the current hot favourite). Or speculation on how many ruling party MLAs will defect to Jagan Reddy’s YSR Congress before voting day on June 12. And how many will do so after the results. About the impact on the State government — will it drag on till 2014? And about margins. But all sides assume a bottom line of 14 Assembly wins for Jagan’s YSR Congress. All that is conceded about the remaining four seats is that they will see real contests.
Otherwise, the ruling party is seen as taking a huge hit regardless of Jagan Reddy’s arrest. There’s not much discussion around who is corrupt. The question you run into: “Who isn’t?” The debate is not so much about the results, but about the consequences. It’s about anger against the ruling Congress, and the way it has functioned. It’s about standing with YSR’s son against the government. And about a persisting YSR factor and its almost comical impact on the Congress. The party has removed all his cut-outs from its offices while attacking his corruption. Till a year ago, it had been claiming his legacy while fighting Jagan in the Kadapa bypoll (which he won by over half a million votes).
The tragedy, of course, is that Andhra Pradesh has never been so bereft of worthwhile alternatives in any election in the past. The roster: Congress, YSRC, TDP, TRS, BJP… Many parties, very few alternatives. (The Left being too small to fit into even this picture.) But such is the anger towards the centrally-imposed crony-subedari system, that the obvious and troubling problems with Jagan’s character and politics will cut no ice for now.
1983 AND NOW
The voters of Andhra Pradesh have forged serious alternatives in the past — even if those were derided by the rulers and their captive media. In January 1983, N.T. Rama Rao swept to power on anti-Congress sentiment and with a promise of rice at Rs.2 a kilo, which he actually kept. A year-and-a-half later, the Congress at the Centre boldly sat on its own self-destruct button. It toppled NTR and split his party while he was away in the U.S. for a heart surgery. It set up a stooge government whose chief minister served 31 days (lowest ever for an A.P. CM). This provoked a public fury that would last over a decade, though NTR was back in a month. The Congress is now again on the tragedy and farce treadmill.
To thwart Jagan Reddy after his father’s death in 2009, the Congress imposed K. Rosaiah as Chief Minister. Rosaiah, a highly respected Congressman, with acknowledged skills as finance minister, had no mass base — and a hostile public mood to contend with. As the ship of state floundered, he quit “on health grounds.” His health, however, did not stop him from becoming a Governor. The Congress government is now led by Kiran Kumar Reddy — of low profile within his constituency and no profile beyond it. His government panicked when the flow of defections to the YSRC began to pick up. The TDP too, is bleeding. Consider that one of its doughtiest fighters, M.V. Mysoora Reddy who battled Jagan in Kadapa 12 months ago, is now with the YSR Congress.
The post-NTR TDP saw the reign of Chandrababu Naidu, the most loved Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh ever — in the media. Riding on his father-in-law’s political bank balance — and on a symbolic bicycle at poll time only — he became what the New York Times termed the “darling of Western governments and corporations.” This era also marked the consolidation of the contractor raj that has ruled the State ever since. Under Naidu, A.P. was the worst-performing State in the south, on many indicators, for nearly a decade. Rural employment collapsed. Many thousands of farmers took their lives in despair. Thousands of (non-state) “gruel centres” sprang up in 2003 to feed large numbers of hungry people.
But the corporate world and media loved him even though he failed any test by the indicators they valued. GDP growth was the lowest in the southern States for 1999-2004 and lower than the national average. The voters are yet to forgive him. Even with the Congress going downhill, the TDP is unable to emerge a dominant force in any part of the State.
Indeed, Naidu’s rule, more than any other factor, helped the Congress bounce back. With Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the party had its first popular leader in years. “YSR” capitalised on Naidu’s failures (the very things the media saw as achievements). He touched a chord in the agrarian community with his highlighting of farm distress and swept to power on that in 2004. He also became the first chief minister to set up a commission to look into agrarian distress, headed by Prof. Jayati Ghosh. For a while, he even heeded its recommendations, leading to some improvements, even while the macro-economic policies of both State and Centre ran counter to the thrust of the Commission’s report. He ran a decent NREGs that saw distress migrations fall in some regions. He even appropriated NTR’s legacy on the issue of cheap rice. All this earned him massive public support. Which now translates big time into sympathy for his son Jagan Reddy.
On all other fronts, though, his era showed great continuity with the Naidu period. Corruption, contractor raj, scams, land grab and quid pro quo deals with the corporate world, all continued. And intensified. A 103 SEZs and gargantuan irrigation projects were approved in YSR’s time. Setting up the displacement of up to one-and-a-half million human beings, with all the misery that it entailed. However, the results of these were to surface much later, allowing him to sweep the 2009 polls with an electorate that still had no trust in Chandrababu Naidu.
ANTI-CORRUPTION
As this newspaper said in its obituary of the Congress CM after his tragic death: “YSR’s legacy will also carry the burden of some very damaging irrigation projects and a bizarre number of SEZs… (However) The outcome of the more negative policies will be felt later, perhaps around 2012…” (TheHindu, September 4, 2009). And now we have Jagan Reddy riding high on the positive side of his father’s legacy — with much of the negative also unfolding. Jagan entered the Assembly last year via the Kadapa by-election where his poll affidavit placed his worth, along with that of his wife, at around Rs.430 crore. Now that worth had been, at the time of the 2009 Lok Sabha election, just under Rs.72 crore. This means he added Rs.357 crore to his assets in some 24 months. Or, on average, around Rs.50 lakh a day. No small feat.
However, the sight of the Congress, of all forces, mounting an anti-corruption crusade draws ridicule from the public. And the fact that these charges were known since the time of YSR but raised only after Jagan left the party robs them of respect. And it is hard, at this point, to see any other major force emerge before 2014. And so a State faced again with mounting farm suicides, with massive forced displacement, with the Telangana issue hanging fire, with the insane looting of public and natural resources, seems trapped on the same road. Elections with changes, but without alternatives. Heck, maybe the CBI ought to give some thought to contesting in 2014.

While the entire YSR family was in distress and had gone on a fast following Jagan’s arrest and subsequent imprisonment, family friend K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao and wife Suneetha did not show up to express their solidarity. Two days after the arrest, and after Vijayamma and Sharmila set out on their election campaign, Suneetha went to Lotus Pond to console lone member Bharati Reddy. Apparently, some of the relatives present pulled up Suneetha for not being present when Vijayamma was fasting. Having sent his wife to complete the formalities, KVP chose to remain silent and stay away.

We should respect the sentiments of both the regions. We should arrive at a solution which would satisfy both. If it is separate state, as long as the interests and sentiments of both the parties are taken care, fine. What is important is the development . education, health etc etc
Murthy garu, I totally agree with you. But, for this election I think that may not go well. For general election, the party should definitely do a thorough analysis by including a committee with leader from both the regions and come up with a mutual consensus to include in the manifesto, and make sure the entire party is responsible for the decision., instead of blaming leaders on either side. It should be more of a scientific decision with in the party, and must different from all other regular political parties.
None of these will cut any ice. Only thing that will work is an unanmbigous stand in favor of Telangana formation. Otherwise Jagan can forget Telangana.
Jagan’s displaying anti-Telangana placards is stil fresh in the people’s minds. Erasing this will not be easy.

Last 2days left for campaign. Do and Die for the 2 main parties. Congress TDP can stoop to any extent now with the media and power in their hand. They may create some morphed pictures just to sensationalize the matters. As Lagadapati’s 2nd marriage pictures are released he might stoop to any extent. If they release just 2 days before the elections the other party will not have much time to respond also. So our party should be vigilant to counter any situation.
All this shows how scared a 100 yr old party and a 30 yr old party is scared of a less than 40 yr old Dynamic son of a Legend even after putting him in prison for no reason.

This is the same elite cartel that was opposing YSR’s policies from day-1, for they are serving vested interests outside the country. This is why I am against MMS’s policy. This is why I believe Dr YSR’s was not an accident.
The educated are not trained enough to understand this game. They debate on futile issues, but not the real causes of longterm concern, to the nation and its roots.
This was why I was addressing the Yellow-Bloggers, for if we miss this window of opportunity called ‘Jagan’, there will be no looking back for INC MMS and its Italian mother. CBN cannot save us, for he is too involved in petty thinking and money making.

To an extent, Karan is right.. commodity prices cannot be de-linked from global activity. See for example, prices of oil, gold etc move as per NYMEX or bullion futures market. If we allow foreign funds into more sectors then we will more linked to global economy than we are now. If the global economy is facing inflation then we cannot escape. But it seems to me that we have more inflationary pressures than other developed economies and it wont stop in a hurry. But what we need to see is if the funds flow is transparent and do not benefit politicians.

Lagadapati’s illegal affair comes to light again:
Once again the issue of Lagadapati Rajagopal’s second wife issue is back in the news.
This issue, incidentally was brought back into the news by a lawyer by name Velluri Srinivas Reddy.
Velluri Srinivas Reddy allegedly suffered an acid attack two years back and at that time he blamed the Lagadapati’s first wife for that incident. However, no one took him seriously back then.
Then all of a sudden, he has once again brought this issue into the frontpages.
He once again blamed Lagadapati Rajagopal’s first wife, Padma and her father and ex-minister, Parvathaneni Upendra, for the attack.
He claimed that since he introduced a Brahmin lady by name Janaki Iyer to Lagadapati, Padma developed a grudge towards him!
Who is Janaki Iyer? Is she the ‘second wife’ of Lagadapati Rajagopal? Well, Lagadapti never revealed the identity of his second wife and there are many rumors regarding the true identity of Lagadapati’s second wife and some TDP leaders even claimed long time back that she is the sister of a famous Muslim Congress leader from Vijayawada.
Incidentally Lagadapati Rajagopal declared that he has a third son by name ‘Harman’. While Padma and Lagadapati has two sons, the third son of Lagadapati is from his second wife, say sources.

న్యూఢిల్లీ, సాక్షి ప్రతినిధి: ‘‘ఇది విడ్డూరం. నమ్మలేకపోతున్నాం. జగన్ను వెంటనే తీహార్ జైలుకు తరలించేందుకు మేం ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నామని, ఆయన్ను ఫలానా ప్రాంతంలో విచారించటానికి ఇప్పటికే ప్రణాళిక సిద్ధం చేసుకున్నామని చెప్పటం.. బుద్ధి లేని రాతలు. మీకు (పత్రికలకు) రాజకీయాలు ఉన్నాయేమో. కొందరు రాజకీయనాయకులను సంతృప్తి పరచటానికి మీరు ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారేమో. కానీ మాకు రాజకీయాలు లేవు.. మేం అలా చేయం’’ – ‘ఈనాడు’ దినపత్రిక ‘పిలుస్తోంది ఈడీ’ అన్న శీర్షికతో బుధవారం ప్రచురించిన కథనంపై ‘సాక్షి’ ప్రత్యేక ప్రతినిధి అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు.. ఎన్‌ఫోర్స్‌మెంట్ డెరైక్టరేట్ (ఈడీ), కేంద్ర ఆర్థిక మంత్రిత్వ శాఖల్లోని ఉన్నతస్థాయి వర్గాల స్పందన ఇది. ‘ఈనాడు’ కథనం చూసి ఆ వర్గాలు నవ్వేశాయి. ‘‘ఇంతకుముందు ఎవరో బయటి వ్యక్తులు చెప్పారంటూ ఒక కథనం రాసి.. అది మా అధికారులకు ఆపాదించిన పత్రికే కదా ఇది?’’ అంటూ ఎగతాళి చేశాయి కూడా. మారిషస్ నుంచి ప్రైవేట్ షెల్ కంపెనీ ద్వారా జగన్‌కు చాలా డబ్బు చేరినట్టు ఈడీ గుర్తించేసిందంటూ ‘6 దేశాల్లో ఆరా’ అనే పతాక శీర్షికన ‘ఈనాడు’ మే 31వ తేదీన ఒక కట్టుకథ ప్రచురించింది. ఈ ‘రహస్యాన్ని’ స్వయంగా ఈడీ అధిపతి ఎస్.ఎస్.దావ్రా, ప్రత్యేక డెరైక్టర్ ఎస్.ఎస్.వాజ్‌పేయిల సన్నిహిత వర్గాలే తన చెవిన వేశాయంటూ నమ్మబలికింది. కానీ నిజానికి అలాంటి పేరుతో డెరైక్టర్, ప్రత్యేక డెరైక్టర్లు కాదు కదా.. కనీసం మామూలు అధికారులు కూడా ప్రస్తుతం ఈడీలో ఎవరూ లేరు! ఈ విషయాన్ని ఈడీ అధికారులే స్వయంగా నిర్ధారించారు. ‘‘అలాంటి పేరున్న అధికారులెవరూ ప్రస్తుతం మా విభాగంలో లేరు. ఈడీ డెరైక్టర్ పేరు రాజన్ కటోచ్. ఇక ప్రత్యేక డెరైక్టర్లు ఎస్.కె.సాహ్నీ, బలేశ్‌కుమార్’’ అని వారు ఆనాడే స్పష్టం చేశారు. తాజాగా అలాంటి కట్టుకథనే ‘ఈనాడు’ మళ్లీ ఈడీ పేరుతో వండి వార్చింది. దీని గురించి ఈడీ, కేంద్ర ఆర్థికశాఖల్లోని ఉన్నతస్థాయి వర్గాలను ‘సాక్షి’ సంప్రదిస్తే.. వారు అదంతా వట్టి అబద్ధమని కొట్టిపారేశారు.
ఇంకా పత్రాలను పరిశీలిస్తున్నాం…
జగన్ కేసులో ఈడీ దర్యాప్తు ఇప్పుడు ఏ దశలో ఉందని అడగగా.. ‘‘ఆరోపణలను పరిశీలించేందుకు మేం సీబీఐ సహకారాన్ని కోరుతున్నాం. సంబంధించిన పత్రాల్లో కొన్ని పత్రాలను సేకరించాం. ప్రస్తుతం వాటిని పరిశీలిస్తున్నాం. ఆ వివరాలను మేం గుర్తించిన వాటితో సరిచూసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. ఇక్కడ మనం మాట్లాడుకుంటున్న మనీ లాండరింగ్ తదితర అంశాలు చాలా క్లిష్టమైనవి.. దానికి సమయం పడుతుంది’’ అని ఆ వర్గాలు వివరించాయి. జగన్ను ‘ఈడీ కస్టడీలోకి తీసుకోవటం’ అనివార్యంగా జరుగుతుందా? అని ప్రశ్నించగా.. ‘‘ఎవరైనా ఒక వ్యక్తి మా విచారణకు అందుబాటులో లేకపోతే.. సదరు వ్యక్తి కస్టడీ కోసం కోరుతాం. అలాంటి సందర్భాల్లో కూడా మేం ముందు సమన్లు జారీ చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. మేం స్పందన కోసం వేచి చూస్తాం. బహుశా ఓ రెండు సార్లు సమన్లు జారీ చేసిన తర్వాత.. ఆ సమన్లకు ఎలాంటి స్పందనా లేకపోతే.. సదరు వ్యక్తిని కస్టడీకి అందించాలని ఏ కోర్టు ద్వారానైనా కోరుతాం. ఇక్కడ ఆయన (జగన్) ఇప్పటికే జ్యుడీషియల్ కస్టడీలో ఉన్నారు. సీబీఐ కస్టడీలో ఉన్నారు. ఆయన్ని తాజాగా కస్టడీలోకి తీసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఎక్కడుంది? ఇక విచారణ అంటారా..? అవును. జరగొచ్చు. ఆయన్ను ఢిల్లీకి తరలిస్తారన్న మాట కూడా ఈ దశలో అసందర్భం, అవాంఛనీయం. అలా ఏమైనా చేయాలంటే మేం కోర్టు అనుమతి తీసుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుంది’’ అని స్పష్టం చేశాయి.
విదేశాలకూ ఏ బృందాన్నీ పంపలేదు…
‘ఈనాడు’ పేర్కొన్న విధంగా.. ఏవైనా దర్యాప్తు బృందాలను విదేశాలకు పంపించారా? అని ప్రశ్నించగా.. ఈడీ వర్గాలు నవ్వేస్తూ.. ‘‘మేం ఏం చేయాలని మీరనుకుంటున్నారు? మేం ఏదైనా చేసే ముందు ఆ (ఈనాడు) విలేకరిని సంప్రదించాలా? ప్రతి రోజూ ఆయనకు వివరించాలా? ఆ విలేకరి మా గురించి ఏదైనా కథనం రాసే ముందు మా పనితీరు గురించి కొన్ని ప్రాధమిక విషయాలు తెలుసుకోవాలి. ఆ విషయానికి వస్తే.. ఏ కథనం రాసే ముందైనా దానికి సంబంధించిన ప్రాధమిక విషయాలు తెలుసుకోవాలి. ఏదేమైనా.. మేం ఇప్పుడు ఆ పత్రాలను పరిశీలించటం మొదలుపెట్టాం. మేం ఏం చేయాలో అది చేస్తాం. అక్రమంగా సంపాదించిన సొమ్మును అటాచ్ చేయటం మాకు చాలా ముఖ్యం.. అందులో కూడా మేం చట్టపరమైన ప్రక్రియను పాటిస్తాం. మా పరిధిలోకి వచ్చే నేరాలు ఏవైనా జరిగాయా అన్న విషయాన్ని మేం పరిశీలిస్తున్నాం. మాకు తెలిసయితే ఇప్పటివరకూ ఏ బృందాన్నీ విదేశాలకు పంపలేదు’’ అని ఆ వర్గాలు పేర్కొన్నాయి. ‘‘మామూలుగా మనీలాండరింగ్ ప్రక్రియలో మూడు దశలు ఉంటాయి. ప్లేస్‌మెంట్ (మనీ లాండరర్ అక్రమ సొమ్మును దాచటం.. ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థలోకి తీసుకురావటం), లేయరింగ్ (నిధుల ప్రవాహ పరంపరలు, మార్పిడులు జరగటం), ఇంటిగ్రేషన్ (పై రెండు దశల్లో విజయం సాధించి.. ఆ సొమ్మును దర్జాగా ఉపయోగించుకోవటం). ప్రతి అంశాన్నీ మేం క్షుణ్నంగా పరిశోధిస్తాం. మేం చేసే ప్రతి ఆరోపణనూ కేసు నడిచే ప్రతి కోర్టులోనూ తిప్పికొట్టవచ్చు, సవాల్ చేయవచ్చు’’ అని ఆ వర్గాలు వివరించాయి.

ఆస్తుల అటాచ్‌మెంట్ అంశం గురించి ఈడీ వర్గాలు పేర్కొంటూ.. ‘‘ఎవరైనా ఒక వ్యక్తి.. నేరపూరితంగా సంపాదించిన ఆస్తులను కలిగివున్నట్లు మేం విశ్వసించటానికి కారణం ఉన్నట్లయితే.. సదరు వ్యక్తి షెడ్యూల్డు నేరానికి పాల్పడినట్లు అభియోగం నమోదైతే.. సదరు ఆస్తుల అటాచ్‌మెంట్‌ను మేం కోరుతాం. ఈ షెడ్యూల్డు నేరంలో మూడు విభాగాలున్నాయి. మొదటి విభాగం.. దేశంపై తిరుగుబాటు చేయటం, నకిలీ నోట్లు చెలామణీ చేయటం, మాదకద్రవ్యాల చట్టం కింద నేరాలకు సంబంధించినది. రెండు, మూడు విభాగాల కిందకు.. రూ. 30 లక్షలకు పైగా విలువగల అంశాలకు సంబంధించిన నేరాలు, సీమాంతర నేరాలు వస్తాయి. ఏదేమైనా.. అటాచ్‌మెంట్ అంటే సదరు ఆస్తులను సంబంధీకులు విక్రయించటం కానీ, కదిలించటం కానీ చేయరాదని మాత్రమే అర్థం. దానికి సంబంధించిన రోజు వారీ లావాదేవీలు, సాధారణ కార్యక్రమాలను నిలిపివేయటం కాదు. అయినప్పటికీ.. ఈ దర్యాప్తు అంశాలు, ప్రక్రియలన్నింటినీ ఉన్నత న్యాయస్థానాల్లో సవాలు చేయవచ్చు’’ అని ఆ వర్గాలు వివరించాయి.

The betting syndicate in the state is working overtime ahead of the bypolls in the state with bookies putting YSR Congress firmly in the driver’s seat with 17 wins. In the 18th constituency, Parkal, it’s neck and neck between the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and the BJP.
Sources in the multi-crore betting industry told this newspaper that the odds were stacked heavily for the YSR Congress to win wherein for a Rs 100 bet on the party, one would get back Rs 200 whereas for a Rs 100 bet on the Congress, the returns are Rs 1,000.
In the Nellore Lok Sabha constituency too, people are betting heavily on the outcome between Congress nominee T. Subbarami Reddy and YSR Congress candidate Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy. Punters are also willing to put 10 times more money on the YSR Congress expecting a big win in the byelections whereas the Congress is second favourite.

Anna, we may not like their attitude. But there are some sane and good people among them. Who knows, they may change their minds on a latter date. Hyderabad: For the Congress party, it looks like a case of a case of faint hope and ebbing glory. This was made amply clear by the surveys that are galore in the election bound constituencies. Some of these surveys were sponsored by the candidates on their own and some by party supporters. The findings of a majority of the surveys are said to be more or less uniform.
The surveys show that large support base of the Congress party is fast eroding. The erosion was caused more or less by a wave of sympathy triggered by the sequence of events in the state favouring Vijayamma. As the widow of the late chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, there is a new found loyalty for her among the sections that matter much for any election.
Notwithstanding the contradictions and political odds the family has been confronting with, her simple and a down to earth approach, traditional attire and of all the voice of an underdog lent her the formidable appeal. She is one leader whom the wives of the small and marginal farmers, as well as the artisans were increasingly identifying with. The scheduled castes and backward classes could find the call of a victim in her voice.
It was found by some surveys that the people prefer politician to film actors in the campaign. Film actors pull crowds only because of the curiosity factor and not because of any sort of loyalty. Vanisri, one of the top heroines of yester years, who ruled the silver screen for long was in the thick of the campaign of the Congress in Nellore for a day. There after she did not give any public appearance.
Weavers community have been very much disillusioned with the ruling party thanks to the VAT issue. Despite the corrective measures initiated by the government to assuage its ruffled feelings, the weavers are under the impression that there were meted out a raw deal. Some 500 contacts were being made every day in the constituency to know the emerging trends. The pendulum is said to be tilting more on the expected lines. The momentum seems to be gaining only after the recent developments.

వాన్‌పిక్ కేసులో మే 24న మంత్రి మోపిదేవిని సిబిఐ అరెస్టు చేసింది. సిబిఐ అరెస్టు తర్వాత మంత్రి పదవికి మోపిదేవి రాజీనామా చేస్తూ ముఖ్యమంత్రికి లేఖ రాశారు. తాను ఎలాంటి పరిస్థితిలో సంబంధిత ఫైలు మీద సంతకం చేయాల్సి వచ్చిందీ మోపిదేవి తన రాజీనామా లేఖలో పేర్కొన్నారు. ‘ఆనాటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి డాక్టర్ వైఎస్ రాజశేఖర్‌రెడ్డి ఆదేశాల మేరకు సంబంధిత ఫైల్స్ నా కార్యాలయానికి రాకున్నా, సిఎం కార్యాలయానికి తనను పిలిపించి ఆయన కార్యదర్శి సమక్షంలో సంతకాలు పెట్టించారు’ అని మోపిదేవి పేర్కొన్నారు. అంటే అప్పటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్ ఒత్తిడి వల్లే తాను ఫైలుపై సంతకం చేశానన్నది సిఎం కిరణ్‌కు రాసిన రాజీనామా లేఖలో మోపిదేవి వాదన. అయితే బెయిల్ కోసం సిబిఐ కోర్టుకు దాఖలు చేసిన పిటిషన్‌లో మోపిదేవి ఇందుకు విరుద్ధంగా చెప్పారు. అందులో అప్పటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్ ప్రస్తావనే లేదు. ‘సహాయ కార్యదర్శి, కార్యదర్శి, ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి తదితరులు ప్రతిపాదనలు రూపొందించి పంపితే దాన్ని మంత్రివర్గం ముందు ఉంచాను. రాయితీకి సంబంధించిన ఒప్పందం మంత్రివర్గంలోని అందరికీ తెలుసు. అంతా చర్చించాకే నిర్ణయం వెలువడింది. మంత్రివర్గం ఆమోదించిన దానే్న నేను అమలు చేశాను’ అని పేర్కొన్నారు. రాజీనామా లేఖలో అప్పటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్ ఆదేశాల మేరకే సంతకం చేసినట్టు పేర్కొన్న మోపిదేవి, బెయిల్ పిటిషన్‌లో మాత్రం అధికారులు రూపొందించిన ప్రతిపాదనలు మంత్రివర్గం ముందుంచి మంత్రివర్గ ఆమోదం పొందినట్టు చెప్పారు.
అయితే మోపిదేవి బెయిల్ పిటిషన్‌పై సిబిఐ దాఖలు చేసిన కౌంటర్‌లోనూ అప్పటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్ ప్రస్తావన తీసుకురాలేదు. వాన్‌పిక్ వ్యవహారానికి మొత్తం మోపిదేవినే బాధ్యుడిని చేసింది. ‘ఇతరులతో కుట్ర పన్ని పరస్పర విరుద్ధమైన నిబంధనలతో ఉన్న కేబినెట్ మెమోరాండంను, రాయితీ ఒప్పందాన్ని మంత్రివర్గం ముందుంచారు. వాన్‌పిక్ ప్రాజెక్టులో అవకతవకలు తన దృష్టికి వచ్చినా ప్రభుత్వ ప్రయోజనాలను పరిరక్షించేందుకు మంత్రిగా మోపిదేవి చర్యలు తీసుకోలేదు. వాన్‌పిక్ వ్యవహారానికి మంత్రిదే పూర్తి బాధ్యత’ అని సిబిఐ తన కౌంటర్‌లో పేర్కొంది.

I am happy to observe atleast it impacted one sane heart, Sai, to introspect on my views. I am writing the below so that many open up their minds.
With such narrow views, I doubt if you can understand concepts of ‘Sanatana Dharmam’, the eternal law of nature that holds All together. You think talking about this is your patent? Did you ever ponder on the Higher Goal of Life it talks about? Or do you only want to ponder on futile Cinema releases, Collections and Cut-outs? How can you even comment on Jesus, Mohammad and others?
You invite me for an open debate with a pre-condition, that I need to a fan of a particular artist. No thanks, for I have pretty good working ceiling-fans at my home. I have better, holistic and broader view on various social, political and economical issues. To me, politics and stage dramas are different. Politics is what one stands for – leadership, values, beliefs, vision and service. While stage or edited e-daramas are unreal sense gratifying objects. If you want to behave Chauvunistic watching more of these melodrama objects, god save you.
Hope you think and honestly introspect why every class / community dislikes you and your deeds in the 3 regions. Why you lost in ’89, ’04, ’09, and potentially in all the near future people mandates. Why openly Telanganites are abusing you in TV and on Web. You are Reaping what your parents Sowed in 80s. Now you have a choice to sow or not sow the same seeds into your kids. I am aghast to see the way you are gloryfing a young lad who has a painful past on your blog, and gloryfing factions in your blog. Don’t you feel ashamed that instead of encouraging him to become a great human being, indirectly encouraging such deeds. You call yourselves educated and all people supporting opposite views less educated and sheeple?
You want to benchmark with Jewsand want to develop like them. Don’t you? Ever pondered why they were driven out of their lands? Ever realised why sometime ago Marwaris were driven out of their home lands in Rajasthan? Not that I am supporting these. My point here is societies have a flash-point to tolerate non-sense. I did read many of your views about my comments on https://manajagan.com/2012/06/04/meemu-okkareme-kadu-cheptunnadi/#comment-31830 in several of your sites/threads. I am happy to observe atleast it impacted one sane heart, Sai, to introspect on my views. I am writing the below so that many open up their minds.
With such narrow views, I doubt if you can understand concepts of ‘Sanatana Dharmam’, the eternal law of nature that holds All together. You think talking about this is your patent? Did you ever ponder on the Higher Goal of Life it talks about? Or do you only want to ponder on futile Cinema releases, Collections and Cut-outs? How can you even comment on Jesus, Mohammad and others?
You invite me for an open debate with a pre-condition, that I need to a fan of a particular artist. No thanks, for I have pretty good working ceiling-fans at my home. I have better, holistic and broader view on various social, political and economical issues. To me, politics and stage dramas are different. Politics is what one stands for – leadership, values, beliefs, vision and service. While stage or edited e-daramas are unreal sense gratifying objects. If you want to behave Chauvunistic watching more of these melodrama objects, god save you.
Hope you think and honestly introspect why every class / community dislikes you and your deeds in the 3 regions. Why you lost in ’89, ’04, ’09, and potentially in all the near future people mandates. Why openly Telanganites are abusing you in TV and on Web. You are Reaping what your parents Sowed in 80s. Now you have a choice to sow or not sow the same seeds into your kids. I am aghast to see the way you are gloryfing a young lad who has a painful past on your blog, and gloryfing factions in your blog. Don’t you feel ashamed that instead of encouraging him to become a great human being, indirectly encouraging such deeds. You call yourselves educated and all people supporting opposite views less educated and sheeple?
You want to benchmark with Jewsand want to develop like them. Don’t you? Ever pondered why they were driven out of their lands? Ever realised why sometime ago Marwaris were driven out of their home lands in Rajasthan? Not that I am supporting these. My point here is societies have a flash-point to tolerate non-sense. Sorry to say, people do not dislike you based on your material prosperity, but like or dislike you based on your deeds towards others.
BTW, can you comment on my views on Why I support YSR’s and not CBN’s approach towards politics, development? Can you at least debate among yourselves on this subject on your blog in a rational way?

Do you understand what global financial architecture is, and how MMS and CBN are pawns and a part of this, and how they are destroying us (read common man)?
For those of you who are crying in the name of United-AP because of real-estate investments in Hyderabad… Last point to ponder on… Jagan is the only force that can erase all divisions across caste, religion, regions among Telugus at the present moment. Don’t you think you must support this energetic lad, keeping all differences aside?
