హైదరాబాద్, న్యూస్‌లైన్: పేద, బడుగు వర్గాల విద్యార్థులకు ఉన్నత విద్య అందించాలనే ఉదాత్తమైన ఆశయంతో దివంగత ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్ రాజశేఖరరెడ్డి ప్రవేశ పెట్టిన ఫీజుల రీయింబర్స్‌మెంట్ పథకానికి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం తూట్లు పొడుస్తున్నందుకు నిరసనగా వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ గౌరవాధ్యక్షురాలు వైఎస్ విజయమ్మ పోరుబాట పట్టారు. గురువారం ఆమె ఫీజు పోరు దీక్షను ప్రారంభించనున్నారు. గురు, శుక్రవారాలు రెండు రోజులపాటు చేపడుతున్న ఈ నిరాహార దీక్ష కోసం హైదరాబాద్‌లోని ధర్నా చౌక్ (ఇందిరాపార్కు) వద్ద ఏర్పాట్లు పూర్తిచేశారు.
విజయమ్మ గురువారం ఉదయం 9.30 గంటలకు తన నివాసం నుంచి బయలుదేరి 10 గంటలకు ధర్నా చౌక్‌కు చేరుకుని దీక్షలో కూర్చుంటారు. వైఎస్ ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా ఉన్నపుడు ఎలాంటి పరిమితులు లేకుండా అర్హులైన పేదలందరికీ ఫీజు రీయింబర్స్‌మెంట్‌ను వర్తింపజేయడంతో లక్షలాది మంది విద్యార్థులు ప్రయోజనం పొందారు. అలా ఆయన హయాంలో ఈ పథకం కింద లబ్ధి పొంది ఇంజనీరింగ్‌తో సహా పలు వృత్తి విద్యా కోర్సులను పూర్తి చేసుకున్న లక్షలాది మంది విద్యార్థులు ఉన్నతోద్యోగాల్లో చేరి తమ కుటుంబాలకు అండగా నిలబడ్డారు.
ఇలాంటి బృహత్తరమైన పథకాన్ని ఎలాంటి పరిమితులు లేకుండా మునుపటి లాగే కొనసాగించాలన్న డిమాండ్ కోసం విజయమ్మ రెండు రోజుల దీక్షకు దిగనున్నారు. చదువును సామాజిక పెట్టుబడిగా భావిస్తూ వైఎస్ ప్రవేశపెట్టిన ఈ పథకం వెనుక ఉద్దేశాన్ని ఏమాత్రం గ్రహించలేకపోయిన ప్రభుత్వ పెద్దల కళ్లు తెరిపించి, ఈ పథకాన్ని ఎలాగైనా కాపాడుకోవాలన్న ఉద్దేశంతో వైఎస్సార్ కాంగ్రెస్ అధ్యక్షుడు జగన్‌మోహన్‌రెడ్డి 2011 ఫిబ్రవరి 18 నుంచి 24వ తేదీ వరకూ ఏడు రోజుల పాటు ఇదే ప్రదేశంలో నిరాహారదీక్షను చేసిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. ఆ తర్వాత ఒంగోలులో ఈ ఏడాది జనవరి 4న కూడా విద్యార్థుల ఫీజుల సమస్యపైనే ఆయన ఒక రోజు ధర్నా చేశారు.
పోరు బాటలో విజయమ్మ
ఉప ఎన్నికల అనంతరం ప్రజలు తమపై మరింత బాధ్యతను ఉంచారని ప్రకటించిన విజయమ్మ అప్పటి నుంచి ఏ సమస్య వచ్చినా ముందుండి పోరాటం చేస్తున్నారు. తాను జైల్లో ఉన్నప్పటికీ.. ప్రజలు తమపై ఉంచిన నమ్మకాన్ని వమ్ము చేయరాదని జగన్ చేసిన సూచనల మేరకు విజయమ్మ ప్రజా సమస్యలపై పోరాటాలు చేస్తూ ముందుకు సాగుతున్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలో విద్యుత్ కోతలకు నిరసనగా విజయవాడ ట్రాన్స్‌కో ఎస్‌ఈ కార్యాలయం వద్ద విజయమ్మ జూలై 17న ఒక రోజు మహాధర్నాలో పాల్గొన్నారు. నేతన్నలకు మద్దతుగా వారి సమస్యలు పరిష్కరించాలని కోరుతూ అదే నెల 23న ఆమె ధర్నా చేశారు. ఫీజులపై నెలకొన్న అనిశ్చిత పరిస్థితిని తొలగించాలని కోరుతూ ఏలూరులో ఆగస్టు 13, 14 తేదీల్లో రెండు రోజుల పాటు ఆమె దీక్ష చేశారు. అంతేకాక రైతు సమస్యల పరిష్కారంలో ప్రభుత్వ నిర్లక్ష్యాన్ని ప్రశ్నిస్తూ ఆమె పులివెందులలో జరిగిన మహాధర్నాలో కూడా పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఏర్పాట్లు పూర్తి: ఫీజు పోరు దీక్షా శిబిరం ఏర్పాట్లు పూర్తయ్యాయి. రాష్ట్ర పార్టీ కార్యక్రమాల కమిటీ కో-ఆర్డినేటర్ తలశిల రఘురామ్ దీక్షా స్థలిలో మకాం వేసి ఏర్పాట్లను సమీక్షించారు. వేల మంది విద్యార్థులు, ప్రజలు వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉన్నందున అందుకు అనుగుణంగా వేదికను ఏర్పాటు చేశామని ఆయన తెలిపారు.

PJR’s daughter shortlisted as YSRC candidate for Khairatabad seat
YSR Congress (YSRC) president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has been in jail for over 100 days, but that has not prevented him from carrying out his political agenda and shortlisting candidates for the Assembly elections in 2014.
Till recently, Jagan was liberal in meeting visitors during the ‘mulaqat’ in Chanchalguda jail but of late he is selective about whom he should meet. The Kadapa MP is said to be utilising his time in planning out his party’s strategy for the elections, either those for the panchayat raj bodies in the coming months or the Assembly and the Lok Sabha in 2014.
Interviews
Over the last few weeks, he met several probables for the party ticket and, after interviewing them, gave them the go-ahead to start working for the next elections.
Notable among them was Vijaya Reddy, daughter of former CLP leader, the late P. Janardhan Reddy. Only after their meeting did Ms. Vijaya Reddy join the party; she is now tipped to be the YSRC candidate from Khairatabad constituency.
It is believed that GHMC corporator from Habsiguda, Singireddy Harivardhan Reddy has got the green signal to contest from Medchal Assembly. He later joined the party with fanfare and invited YSRC leader Vijayamma to Jawaharnagar in Medchal constituency.
Sources said Sanjeeva Rao, who contested the Assembly elections from Vikarabad (SC) constituency, had recently met Jagan in jail and got the nod for the party ticket.
Another influential Congress leader from Ranga Reddy district is tipped to get the party ticket from Uppal.
Summoning hopefuls
It is understood that Jagan was summoning the hopefuls only after getting a thorough feedback about their prospects. A systematic survey and comprehensive background check besides the standing of the aspirants preceded the granting of green signal. Party seniors are understood to be regularly briefing him about the developments.
A senior Minister confirmed that a number of party leaders in the twin cities and neighbouring Rangareddy district were ready to jump into the bandwagon of the YSR Congress.
“Our efforts to arrest this trend is not succeeding as Jagan is meeting the hopefuls and assuring them that he would field them on behalf of the YSRC,” the Minister remarked.
Nothing disturbing . Do they have to attend every meeting ?? I am sure people will have personal/family committments sometime or the other.
Yellow party and media chapters are closed from 2014 so they will do all they can to raise anixiety. But it will only make our party stronger .
Who the hell will try to move away from YSRCP that is going to sweep the elections ?? Even people like Vuppunuthala are eagre to jump into YSRCP from Telangana !! We will win many seats in Telangana too.

Why are we unnecessarily worried about these rumors. During kadapa elections The same TV9, ETV have aired programs that YSRP will tie-up with BJP. Knowing Jagan’s attitude all TV9, ETV, RK are already shivering with fear. All these new rumors are due to the recent survey results by NTDV and india today. They want to create as much confusion as possible. But common people are much more intelligent than we educated DBers and these yellow media.

YSR’s Saapam Working On Naidu
Hurling abuses against each other and wishing only bad for the opponent is a common feature in the political circuit. But then most of the times the politicians tend to brush it off like dust from a shirt and keep going. However, it looks like one curse seems to have worked on one important politician.
He is none other than Chandrababu Naidu and the man to give the curse was the late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. Apparently, it is known news that there was bitter rivalry between Chandrababu and YSR during their political heydays and once YSR said “Chandrababu will get into history as the opposition leader for the longest time.”
True to YSR’s words, it appears that Chandrababu is going to sit in the opposition bench for a long time. The way TDP has been dwindling currently is an indicator that 2014 elections may not work for CBN. Today,it’s really shocking to watch the absence of Konda Surekha,Roja&Ambati at the fees agitation.It shows the negligence7recklessness on the part of Y.V.Subba reddy to bring all the newly-elected MLAs on one stage.My sincere request is atleast hereafter,they should be conscious about giving information of the programmes to all the party members.Atleast now,it is better if Vijayamma calls Surekha &talk to her about this matter to avoid the gap.
