On most indicators, Chandrababu Naidu ran the worst performing state in the south of India for nearly 10 years. Yet the more damage he did, the more his media standing grew, says P Sainath.
The state’s average GDP growth shot up from 5.59% per year in 1999-04 under the TDP to 9.07% per year in 2004-09, even as it reduced its fiscal deficit to 2.68% of GDP by 2008, well below the prescribed 3% ceiling for state governments under the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management norms. This was aided greatly by halving the revenue deficit as a proportion of GDP.
The share of agriculture in GDP is 30% in Andhra Pradesh , almost double the national level of 17%. So, YSR focused on rural infrastructure and irrigation. This paid rich dividends. Agricultural growth averaged a whopping 6.82% per year in 2004-09 , double the national average. This pushed up rural wages.

All those who feel ‘it is OK’ or ‘Must’ to spend large sums of money for winning elections should read bloomberg article. 1983 gave NTR an opportunity to break Money and election equation. CBN , in the absence of charismatic leader has resorted to spending huge amounts of money to project his image and to buy votes. Elections there after changed. Every party started spending money. Like Venkayya Naidu quote elections have become “Collection and election” Corruption has exploded.
After a Long gap of nearly 3 decades. YSRCP has a great opportunity .Image of YSR ,Atrocious rule of Congress and Economic recession created a massive swing for YSRCP. The need to spend is therefore is substantially reduced. YSRCP can break the equation.
If they miss this opportunity, we will have another congress and TDP . People of State would be let down one more time. Generation of people have to forego their aspirations and dreams.
It is not a victory , If YSJ is made CM, Victory is only when he delivers corruption free and effective governance by bringing about comprehensive changes in the fundamentals of our system.

This posting is about report in Sakshi. I consider Sakshi as a mouth piece of YSJ and YSRCP. Whatever appears in Sakshi, is therefore perceived as a official stand of YSJ and YSRCP.
The report is about incident at Mohan Babu’s residence. The facts of the case are, a small group of individuals were at Mohanbabu’s residence to protest against certain scenes in his film ‘Denikaina ready’. Even before they could approach his house, Boxers(paid goons) attacked these guys with lathis . It is an unruly behavior and not acceptable in civil society . The worst part of the whole thing was, it happened in the presence of public and police. The threats by Vishnu on prime time on channels is enough evidence to arrest him The police did’t consider it appropriate to register a case. The Visuals are so clear, Vishnu’s claim that they attacked his house is blatant lie.
Coming to Sakshi report, It reported the incident as if the poor Brahmins attacked the residence with arms and stones . He even went o the extent of saying that family members got scared and took shelter in the bed room, there by giving an impression that these Brahmins entered the house. and ransacked the place . Totally twisted and misleading. I am sure it was done to bail out Mohan babu.
How can we support somebody taking law in to his hands and behaving like a Goons. If we support this , I am afraid , we may end up like ‘Goondaism’ in U.P.
Sakshi would loose its credibility if the publish twisted stories. Post this report there is so much pressure on our family members to discontinue sakshi for this kind of false and fabricated report.
I am a Hindu and Brahmin . I always followed religion in personal like . I have respect ,at the same time for the other religions. We are in fact supporting Muslim children education for more than a decade .
I am frustrated with this report. I strongly feel that Sakshi , needs to make amends. I hope supporting stooges at any cost is suicidal . I hope YSRCP takes not of this.

Adding to Murthy garu’s comments, SAKSHI is the only paper that gave impression that Mohanbabu’s house is attacked which is false according to the visuals. It really hurts the feeling of the people who support our party that is not an exclusion for me.

A film to be released in public or not is the job of censor board.
If anybody has problem with its content should be file complaint with courts or appropriate ones.
There are many movies released in telugu every year, portraying or referencing one community or language or accent or region to villains, comedians, side characters, so on. Many movies attribute north coastal andhra or nellore people accent to comedians, and many movies portray seema people as villains and blood hungry, and attribute telangana accent to villains or comedians, and show bihar people as goons,…so on.
So what if everyone of these people attack the movies or movie makers of these films? A movie is just for fun, if it has a content that damage the society or against to the rules of constitution it is for censor board to delete them. Now a days it is in increasing behavior to attack the theaters or movie makers since telangana movement started. I personally saw some movies which ridicule some programs like Rs2/kg rice, free electricity ,..which I fee they are referencing at YSR. But these films did not change the broader opinion of people to vote for YSR. If they can influence the people, every film start would be a successful politician.
Anyhow, sakshi or any media representing misleading information should be condemned.

I still remember when Mohan babu criticised Chiru on the stage during some function . Chiru told Mohan babau that he lost a golden opportunity of talking something good about himself by wasting his time talking bad about others. I agree with this.Mohan babu has made many comments over the years which upset many people and I suppose that is his nature. The Yellow media always supported him bcs of caste fanatics in Tollywood. But Sakshi should have reported the facts no matter who he is. Hopefully lessons will be learnt. This posting is about report in Sakshi. I consider Sakshi as a mouth piece of YSJ and YSRCP. Whatever appears in Sakshi, is therefore perceived as a official stand of YSJ and YSRCP.
The report is about incident at Mohan Babu’s residence. The facts of the case are, a small group of individuals were at Mohanbabu’s residence to protest against certain scenes in his film ‘Denikaina ready’. Even before they could approach his house, Boxers(paid goons) attacked these guys with lathis . It is an unruly behavior and not acceptable in civil society . The worst part of the whole thing was, it happened in the presence of public and police. The threats by Vishnu on prime time on channels is enough evidence to arrest him The police did’t consider it appropriate to register a case. The Visuals are so clear, Vishnu’s claim that they attacked his house is blatant lie.
Coming to Sakshi report, It reported the incident as if the poor Brahmins attacked the residence with arms and stones . He even went o the extent of saying that family members got scared and took shelter in the bed room, there by giving an impression that these Brahmins entered the house. and ransacked the place . Totally twisted and misleading. I am sure it was done to bail out Mohan babu.
How can we support somebody taking law in to his hands and behaving like a Goons. If we support this , I am afraid , we may end up like ‘Goondaism’ in U.P.
Sakshi would loose its credibility if the publish twisted stories. Post this report there is so much pressure on our family members to discontinue sakshi for this kind of false and fabricated report.
I am a Hindu and Brahmin . I always followed religion in personal like . I have respect ,at the same time for the other religions. We are in fact supporting Muslim children education for more than a decade .
I am frustrated with this report. I strongly feel that Sakshi , needs to make amends. I hope supporting stooges at any cost is suicidal . I hope YSRCP takes not of this.

Adding to Murthy garu’s comments, SAKSHI is the only paper that gave impression that Mohanbabu’s house is attacked which is false according to the visuals. It really hurts the feeling of the people who support our party that is not an exclusion for me.
Such types of films should not be encouraged.

A film to be released in public or not is the job of censor board.
If anybody has problem with its content should be file complaint with courts or appropriate ones.
There are many movies released in telugu every year, portraying or referencing one community or language or accent or region to villains, comedians, side characters, so on. Many movies attribute north coastal andhra or nellore people accent to comedians, and many movies portray seema people as villains and blood hungry, and attribute telangana accent to villains or comedians, and show bihar people as goons,…so on.
So what if everyone of these people attack the movies or movie makers of these films? A movie is just for fun, if it has a content that damage the society or against to the rules of constitution it is for censor board to delete them. Now a days it is in increasing behavior to attack the theaters or movie makers since telangana movement started. I personally saw some movies which ridicule some programs like Rs2/kg rice, free electricity ,..which I fee they are referencing at YSR. But these films did not change the broader opinion of people to vote for YSR. If they can influence the people, every film start would be a successful politician.
Anyhow, sakshi or any media representing misleading information should be condemned.
If we write such crap twisted stories,what is the difference between yellow media and sakshi..Stick to the facts Sakshi team..don’t write your own versions..

I still remember when Mohan babu criticised Chiru on the stage during some function . Chiru told Mohan babau that he lost a golden opportunity of talking something good about himself by wasting his time talking bad about others. I agree with this.Mohan babu has made many comments over the years which upset many people and I suppose that is his nature. The Yellow media always supported him bcs of caste fanatics in Tollywood. But Sakshi should have reported the facts no matter who he is. Hopefully lessons will be learnt. చెంద్ర బాబు మాటలకి అర్ధాలే వేరులే!!! నేను మొదటనుండి ఈ వ్యక్తిని గమనిస్తున్నాను. అధికారం లో ఉన్నప్పుడు తను ఒక స్టేట్మెంట్ ఇచ్చేవాడు..దానికి వ్యతిరేఖంగా నిర్ణయం తీసుకునేవాడు. మద్య నిషేధం ఎత్తివేయము అని ఒక రోజు స్టేట్మెంట్ ఇచ్చాడు. దానిని ఈనాడు ప్రముఖంగా ప్రచురించింది. పది రోజులల్లో మద్య నిషేధం ఎత్తివేసాడు. రెండు రూపాయల కిలో బియ్యం పెంచం అన్నాడు.పది రోజుల్లో పెంచాడు. 50 రూపాయలకే హార్స్ పవర్ పెంచం అన్నాడు. మళ్ళీ పది రోజుల్లో ఎత్తివేస్సాడు.
