Any updates on Jagan anna’s petition for treating the investigation as complete and the Dalmia related chargesheet as the final one? Also, somebody here posted that Jagan anna applied for bail again. Any updates on that? Although he is working from jail also, his loss is definitely felt by the party on all fronts. Odarpu, organization building, strategy building etc. Jagan anna also used to take up protests on public issues. That is also being missed although Vijayamma garu, Sharmila akka are bridging a part of the loss.

I do not expect any reprieve from local CBI court, because it is a puppet court which never took decision in favor of anyone. Either high court or Supreme Court is the only option. I am sure this time when bail petition comes up in Supreme Court on 23rd (today), we will have to see how hard the CBI argument is going to be. Unfortunately, the panel that denied bail last time is retired and now another panel is taking up the bail petition.

While I agree with your criticism on Andhrajyothi MD in general, criticizing him in this context and mentioning KCR is neutral light is disgraceful. In this context KCR was anti-national. Andhrajyothy’s stand on this issue was right.

Steel is definitely a national asset and it is not wrong to allocate mines in Khammam to a steel plant in Vishakapatnam. For that matter, that steelplant is a national property too! It is a central government owned company. Employment as always is mostly for locals when it comes to low paying jobs because people won’t generally migrate far for low paying jobs. Top level jobs at Vishaka steel are generally taken by people from all over the country. Not just Vizag or AP.

          మరి విశాఖ ఉక్కు ఆంధ్రుల హక్కు అని పోరాడి ప్రాణాలు పోగొట్టుకున్నోల్లందరూ ఏమి తెలియని ఎర్రి ఎంగాలప్పల?

          • Gyan

While I would not like to use words such as “verri vengalappa”, I am definitely not in favor of those who used slogans such as “Visakha ukku, andhrula hakku”.

Before making the comparison, please realize that India was a “colony” to the British. It was not an independent, democratic country. It was not like we had equal rights on British resources as they had on our resources. It was not like we had a say in choosing the British Queen who ruled us.
Today, the people of Telangana or Vizag or any other part of India have equal rights on resources in other places in India as others in India have on the resources in their place.
If exceptions have happened, such as the slogans you have mentioned “Visakha ukku, Andhrula haiku”, they must be condemned and if possible, fixed. Repeating such things and making them all pervasive will ruin the country and is definitely anti-national.

        • Gyan

I have seen the telecast of Andhra Jyothy on this issue and I do agree that it is true that if such feelings are encouraged, tomorrow, each district or even a village might demand that their resources must be fully used only in their village. What is the point of being part of a country then?
Coming to your point about anti-universal, I am not sure if you were serious or just plain sarcastic but I would really be happy if a day comes when this world would become just one country and we would have no trade barrios, protectionism etc. It would only be an extension of what has been happening with some European countries that have become part of the European Union. All would benefit. I hope we progress in that direction and not the opposite direction.

Overall the response in Krishna district is amazing. At few places its better than Guntur. But Guntur is still something special . It is good that she is going to Khammam next instead of Godavaris. It’s been quite long since Jagan went to Khammam( when he was in Congress)

India’s Poorest Chief MInister: Mr Manik Sarkar

Of many honest persons I am writing today about Mr Manik Sarkar, Chief Minister, Tripura.

He has been elected consecutively for fourth terms as Chief Minister. First some facts about this great person.

    1. He is the poorest but Purest Chief Minister of India.

    2. He has been elected as chief minister consecutively for fourth term

    3. He doesn’t own a home;

    4. His bank balance is Rs. 6500/-

    5. He donates all his salary to CPI (M), and party gives him sustenance allowance of Rs 5000/- month.

    6. His wife never uses official vehicle and can very easily be seen on Rickshaw in Agartala.

    7. Even his worst opponents admit that Manik Sarkar is an impeccably honest man, certainly a rare variety among politicians today.

Now, compare these with other chief ministers or politicians, who have assets worth crores of rupees!

Apart from honesty, Mr Manik Sarkar has been impetuous for the development of the state which includes better connectivity and development of IT sector in state. He was also responsible for bringing the concept of public-private partnership and invigorated private intervention, particularly in the IT sector.

I think he demands nothing from us but some respect and a little bit recognition. So, Please like this Post & share with your friends and show that you are a real Indian.

    • CVR MURTHY

efficiency competence , effectiveness and honesty are the requirements for any person who holds any office. The first three are far more important, people are ready to compromise on the last aspect as long as it does not come in the way of the first three.

      • sharath

        • nlr2014

It is nice to know that there are still such sinceres in Indian politics. U are right, politicians in some very developed countries can also be corrupt but they do something good for their country which is not the case in India.
There were a couple of CM’s from AP who were are also very down to earth ….Neelam and Kotla who struggled to even pay their hospital bills when they died. Kotla did not even own a house in hyd nor a car.
AK Anotony is also said to be sincere. But the problem is the pseudogandhis use him to show that cong is clean !!

      • Gyan

Murthy garu, I beg to differ with you on this. If a person holding an office is not honest, he/she can not be efficient/effective. By accepting bribes, one would be forced to compromise on efficiency. For example a Municipal officer who accepts bribes from a road contractor would be forced to compromise on the quality of the road and turn a blind eye to the delays the contractor may cause. Also, in order to do favors to those offering bribes, the person holding the office would have to give up being effective in doing good for the public. There would be a conflict of interest as he/she would now be interested in the welfare of the bribe giver and not just the public.

        • Gyan

It is true that common public in our state as well as country do not seem to be bothered much about corruption. This is because of two reasons:
          1. They are unable to see an honest alternative as most major political parties have key leaders who are corrupt.
          2. They are not sufficiently wise/educated to realize the impact of corruption and gauge the difference in the degree of corruption by various parties.
The educated class are definitely concerned by corruption. We can see bloggers here who are highly educated criticize corruption every day. Even scams such as IMG committed over 10 years back are not forgiven/forgotten by the educated class such as us. Spectrum scam and coal scam are of course a big issue for us!

        • Gyan

True. I agree that in today’s system, parties that attempt to contest elections without touching black money would bite the dust without making even the slightest impact. Lok Parikran went that way. Lok Satta almost went that way and perhaps Aam Admi party would go that way too.
So it does make sense to be practical as you said and become part of the system to get power but once we get power, we must change the system. Perhaps not overnight but slowly we must weed out corruption. Even highly developed countries like Germany and the UK have some corruption but much less than ours. We must head in their direction and try to become like them. Gujarat has corruption too but I think Modi has definitely reduced it in the last decade or so. Jagan anna must do the same as soon as he comes to power.

          • CVR Murthy

You have just answered the point you have raised in the earlier posting. . Corruption is tolerated as long as it does not come in the way of effective governance.

If you visit J.D.LakshmiNarayana page in Facebook, you will see photos abusing Jagan anna,Raja, etc by comparing with prostitutes and osama bin laden etc.As a govt official he couldn’t like this as per my knowledge, Is there any way to take action legally against him. Think about that.

    • Lakshmi

my intention is ” As a govt official he could not do like this”

      • NLR

This is exactly what these yellow caste fanatics are famous for.
They have lost human values long back.
They say Johar to one man with their mouth and then say Zindabad to his murderer with the same mouth !!
But being a CBI official I think he should take responsibility for it or delete it.
Silence is not innocence. If he cant do even this then why should he be paid by tax payers ??
