దేశంలో ప్రస్తుతం మీడియాదే హవా కొనసాగుతోంది. మీడియా ద్వారా ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్ తదితరాలను ప్రజలు వీక్షిస్తున్నారు. కాస్త రాజకీయ ఆసక్తి గల, లేదా పరిశీ లనా ధోరణి గల ఏ ఇద్దరు కలిసినా మీడియా ప్రస్తావన తప్పదు. మీడియాను విమర్శిస్తూనే విసుక్కుంటూనే దానిలో వచ్చిన విషయాల చుట్టూ చర్చ సాగించకా తప్పదు.
నిజం చెప్పాలంటే ఇప్పుడు నడుస్తున్నది డెమొక్రసీ కాదు. మీడియోక్రసీ అంటుంటారు కొందరు. మీడియోక్రసీ అంటే రెండు అర్థాలు- ఒకటి మీడియా ప్రధానమైంది అని, మరొకటి మీడియోకర్ అన్న అర్థంలో ముతగ్గా వుంది అని. ఈ రెండూ నిజమే. మీడియా విస్తరణ వల్ల, 24 గంటల ఛానళ్ల వల్ల ప్రతిదీ ప్రజల్లో సంచలనంగా చిత్రించబడుతుంటుంది. ప్రతి దానిపైనా తీవ్రమైన చర్చ జరుగుతున్నది. నిద్ర లేవక ముందే పతాక శీర్షికలు తయారుగా వుంటాయి. అహోరాత్త్రు’ అప్రమత్తంగా వున్న మీడియా తాకిడి నుంచి ఏదీ తప్పించుకోవడం దాటేయడం సాధ్యం కానట్టే కనిపిస్తున్నది. మీడియాకు సమాజంతో సంబం ధం లేని స్వతంత్ర అస్తిత్వం వున్నట్టే కనిపిస్తుం టుంది. ఫోర్త్ ఎస్టేట్ అనీ సమాచార స్వేచ్ఛ అనీ పత్రికా స్వాతంత్రం అనీ రకరకాల మాటలు వినిపిస్తుంటాయి. మీడియా నిష్పాక్షి కంగా వున్నట్టు వుండాలన్నట్టు కూడా మాట్లాడు తుంటారు. ఒకప్పుడు కమ్యూనిస్టులకు మాత్రమే పత్రికలుంటాయనే వారు. కాని ఇప్పుడు ప్రతి పత్రిక ప్రతి ఛానల్ చేసే వాదన ఇచ్చే వార్తలు ఏ దిశలో వున్నాయో ఎవరు ఎవరికి అనుకూలమో ప్రతికూలమో సామాన్య పాఠకులు ప్రేక్ష కులు కూడా చెప్పగలిగిన స్థితి.
మీడియా అంటే జరిగింది చెప్పడం జరు గుతున్నది నివేదించడం జరగబోయేదాన్ని గురించి వివరించడం అన్నది మామూలుగా అనుకునే విషయం. కాని ఇప్పుడు అదంతా మారింది. జరిగేదీ జరగబోయేది మీడియానే శాసిస్తుందని చాలా మంది అనుకుంటున్నారు. రాజకీయాలే కాదు సామాజిక సాంసృతిక ఆర్థిక వాణిజ్య ఆధ్యా త్మిక తదితర రంగాలన్నిటినీ మీడియా గుప్పిట్లో పెట్టుకున్నదా అని పిస్తుంది.
మీడియాను వీక్షించేవారి సంఖ్య పెరిగిపోవడం అలాగే వినియోగదారుల సంఖ్య పెరిగిపోవడంతో సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానంలో చోటుచేసుకుంటున్న అభివృద్ధిలో భాగంగా 2011-12 నాటికే లక్షకోట్ల రూపాయలకు చేరుకుందని అసోచామ్ అధ్యయనం పేర్కొంది. దేశీయ మీడియా ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్ రంగం టర్నోవర్ రానున్న మూడు సంవత్సరాలలో రెండు రెంట్లు పెరిగా అవకాశం ఉందని తాజాగా నిర్వహించిన అధ్యయనంలో వెల్లడైంది.
సంస్థ అసోచామ్ ఇండియా డిజిటల్ రివల్యూషన్-ఇంపాక్ట్ ఆన్ ఫిల్మ్ అండ్ టెలివిజన్ పేరుతో పై అధ్యయనాన్ని నిర్వహించింది. సంస్థ అధ్యయనం ప్రకారం ప్రస్తుతం ఈ రంగానికి శాతం రాబడి కేవలం ప్రకటనల ద్వారా అలాగే శాతం సబ్ స్క్రిప్షన్ల ద్వారా సమకూరుతోందని అసోచామ్ సంస్థ పేర్కొంది.

This should be simple and easy to understand by any apolitical educated urban person.

India Posts will issue a special cover on former president Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy to mark his 100th birth anniversary on Sunday.
Union minister of state for communications and information technology Killi Kruparani said: “Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy was one of the greatest leaders from Andhra Pradesh, who held the highest office of the country.”
The special cover will be released at a function at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad on May 19.

The grit and determination shown by YSR family is perhaps no parallel in the indian contemporary politics. The fact that three women are leading the battle makes it one to ‘awestruck’
One has accept that many leaders who were supported or claimed to be close to him deserted his family and even insulted him after his death, Even today, all those who are flocking to YSRCP are doing so as there is a strong winds in favour of YSRCP. This was possible due to the image of YSRCP and spirit displayed by the family.
As far as Ms.Sharmila goes she has shown grasp of the things. Her replies are sharp and direct , her criticism is straight and pointed. While it is a great demonstration of political acumen and fighting spirit, It is a great example of sister’s love for her brother.
The opposition certainly did,t factor in Ms. Sharmila in their ‘Destory Jagan’ strategy
