Very detailed analysis on how communists were a thriving force in Andhra during 1940s and 50s. Delta districts of A.P had very strong communist leadership which is not known to many people now.
This old 1950s document may give some root cause analysis to the behavior of Yellow fans, based on what they would have learnt at home from previous generations. It is interesting to see they changed colour from Red to Yellow to sometimes Saffron, but the team that backed them is the same till date. It is also amusing to see how they supported Left Commies, an Actor of repute, and now a WB leaning reformist. It is also amusing to see they supported all ideologies left-centre-right etc., but how the common interests of the team were protected. It is also amusing to see, irrespective of any ideology, how they gel as a team, mitigate differences, and work for a common goal.
It will be interesting to see if any additional books exist after 1960s, especially 1980s till date on this topic. How the same team worked through movies, media, and a new party.
It will be interesting to see in a post 2014 scenario if team Yellow fails, what color and ideology will be chosen by this team to protect their interests. The common alignment seems to exist with global forces. At the outset, this team appears to be unpatriotic. By team, I mean the ones sharing political and economic power, not the common-man like Yellow fan, who does not see through the design of global politics, monetary system, media manufactured manipulation and its relation to India.

Let them enjoy their last days. They will not get another opportunity in the next 20/30 yrs.
This is a serious matter. Jagan must immediately go for appeal to High Court and if required, Supreme court. If the trail is done separately it will begin within a few weeks and the judgement on at least one charge sheet may be out before the election notification. If Jagan anna is sentenced to more than two years, he won’t be allowed to contest. I think, at least now, we should come to some reasonable agreement with Congress so that CBI does not strongly oppose our petition for joint trail at least in high court. It may be too late if we delay. We must be strategic.
I say what is wrong if we support UPA in the centre and take their support in AP? After all, YSR was able to rule for 5.5 years with a decent relation with Sonia/Congress.
We should focus on enemy number one, TDP.

Pls dont worry. Cong will be booted out in the centre and Tdp will be kicked out from AP in less than 10 months time. All these nonsense cases will go in the bin. Even if they keep him longer then Vijaymma garu or Sharmila will be made the CM to start with.Things have gone too far to compromise now.Jagan is only 40 and he has got atleast 40 yrs of political life in front of him.We would rather die with Pride rather than live by letting down those millions of people who have faith in YSRCP.

Even if trail begins, do you think in our country a case will conclude in an year’s time? Even a petty crimes will take decades…this is the fate of the country. So even if the trial begins, it will take many years to come to conclusion. In a way we have to go to many courts to appeal……
I agree that in our country even petty crimes take years to complete. But one must consider these factors:
1. Regular trial courts are overburdened so when they adjourn a case, the next hearing may be several months away. CBI special court (where Jagan Anna’s trial is going to conducted) is not burdened at all. So they won’t adjourn for months. They will do the hearing several times each month.
2. Often, appeals in higher courts will stay sentences and delay cases further. But generally, higher courts do not allow contesting until a sentenced person is acquitted. Sanjay Dutt was very influential when he wanted to contest in 2009 but he couldn’t.
3. The nature of the case and number of witnesses to be examined. CBI will keep at least one of the first two charge sheets short and concise with just a few witnesses and few documents. They will aim to get a speedy sentencing.
I think nothing with happen to YSRCP and followers of YSRCP would rather see Jagan anna form the government with Congress support than see him continue to languish in jail. Also, quite frankly the part may see internal bickering and cadre may lose courage if Jagan anna doesn’t come out and campaign. They have all been hopeful that he will be out soon. Everybody can’t be as tough as Bharathi garu or Sharmila akka or educated bloggers here.
Pls dont underestimate the strength of common man. They can be stronger than the well educated or rich as they have nothing to lose.
