In Andhra Pradesh, a state in which the Congress won 33 of the 42 seats in 2009, the CVoter poll projects it will win a mere 7. Jagan Reddy’s YSR Congress, a party that didn’t exist in 2009, is estimated to win 14 seats and the Telengana Rashtra Samiti 11, leaving just 7 for Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP. Of course, the AP numbers could change dramatically once the formation of Telangana is announced, as expected soon.

I was talking to a person near Kakinada, he is almost illeterate and his family has been supporting TDP for several years. In his words: “Rashtramlo intha gandaragolam jaruguthunte, Chandrababu daakkovatam emi bagoledu. Votla rajakeeyam chestunnadu. Maalanti vallake inta bhadaga unte mari, chaduvukunnallaki inka ela untundo.”. Also “ Jagani lopala petti ippude kangarugaa chestunnaru, athanu September lo bayataku vasthe addampadathadani”.
So, bottom line is – People are thinking that Chandrababu is doing all gimmicks for his selfish and Jagan is there to take care of them. I am sure, now it’s up to the party to keep the momentum and go to the people aggressively saying Jagan is the only savior.

I called ysday to my friends and there is lot of support among ppl in seemandhra…one of the main reason our local leaders are concerned about non declaration of our party candidates for MLA seats…thats what chandrababu did during his padayatra and it prompted candidates to shell money in panchayat elections and it fetched them results…Positive thing is our ysrcp leaders did not spend a single rupee and won good no. of seats…
You are absolutely correct anna.. even in kurnool, since we dont have incharge/mla candidates declared, sarpanch candidates or YSRCP supporters dont know whom to look upto. that prompted ysrcp sympathisers to contest from other party or stay silent or go slow, which costed us.

I still strongly feel we can do much better, when elections happen with party symbols. It will definetely be one sided war……but I am afraid when Cong takes decision on Telengana, then surely TDP and Cong MP/MLAs will resign to gain mileage and I can not bear their OVERACTIONs especially Jagadapati, Anam Viveka, Devineni, Payaavula etc……
The separate state issue is perhaps ‘The most important matter” for the people of AP. TDP is invisible and YSRCP is almost following the suit. I am afraid YSRCP is bowled by googly. Very Very disappointing
There is nothing we could do here. Jagan didn’t do odarpu yatra in T region due to time constraint. Given the strong T sentiment there is nothing we could do. Even a 30 year old party TDP is finding it difficult.

When State is being divided on un scientific basis ( Telengana is not an issue as long as it is a fair game for every one) if YSRCP expecting political gains and giving their view and not raising issues relating to the separation is simple evasive strategy.
