Uppunuthala Purushotham Reddy died of brain stroke, today morning. He joined YSRCP few months back.
Prior to State Division , the voters preference was largely based on performance of congress government and to some extent for and against Jagan and, now it is on separate state. All those congress TDP leaders are making use of the opportunity to project themselves as champions of seema andhra or seema and andhra to get elected .They will go back to parent party once the elections are over.
Similar to Panchayat elections, we dont have ready-made leaders in constituencies as ours is new party & havent contested single election so far. However, we should make sure that, we have face of the party in each dist/constituency to spearhead SA agitation from our party perspective.

Interesting informtion against Telangana Bill in the Parliament.
Hyderabad: AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh said on Thursday that the creation of the state of Telangana would need a Constitutional amendment, sparking a fresh debate on the eve of the Congress Core Committee’s crucial meeting on Friday to decide on the issue.
While votaries of Telangana insist that creation of Telangana does not require a Constitutional amendment — it was not needed to create the states of Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand — there does appear to be more to it than that.
If Singh’s line of argument is taken to its logical conclusion, the measure to create Telangana would have to be passed by a two-third majority by Parliament, and should be ratified by at least half the states of India.
In normal circumstances, the formation of new states is governed by Articles 2, 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
Article 2 deals with ‘Admission or establishment of new states’; Article 3 with ‘Formation of new states and alteration of areas, boundaries or names of existing states’.
Nod of 50% states needed
Article 4 of the Constitution deals with ‘Laws made under Articles 2 and 3 provide for the amendment of First and Fourth Schedules (of the Constitution) and supplemental, incidental and consequential matters.’
Article 4 (2) states: ‘No such law as aforesaid shall be deemed to be an amendment of this Constitution for the purposes of Article 368.’ And Article 368 empowers Parliament to make amendments to the Constitution.
This made it easy for the NDA government to create the three new states from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. But Telangana faces a peculiar situation.
After the two agitations, one in 1969 for Telangana state, and another in 1972 for pro-Andhra protagonists, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had brought in the 32nd Constitutional Amendment Bill, by inserting new Articles, 371 (D) and 371 (E) under the head ‘Special provisions with respect to the state of Andhra Pradesh.’
This was done to bring equitable opportunities and facilities to people belonging to different parts of the state for public employment and education and establishment of a Central University in Andhra Pradesh.
When the 32nd Amendment was adopted in Parliament, it was duly inserted in the Seventh Schedule of the Constitution which deals with Union, State and Concurrent Lists.
The creation of Telangana may impinge on the Seventh Schedule. And that has created the problem.
Article 368 also says that any measure that seeks to make any changes in the Seventh Schedule requires to be adopted by a ‘special majority’.
This means that the Bill has to be passed in each House by a majority of the total membership of that House, and by a majority of not less than two-thirds of members of that House present and voting.
Not only that. Article also says the amendment must be ratified by the legislatures of not less than one half of all the states in India by a resolution to that effect.
In this background, the UPA government, which is struggling to keep its simple majority in Parliament, will have to think twice before making a constitutional amendment as it requires a special majority, and also 50 per cent of legislatures in the country need to approve the same.
This means that unless there is a consensus on the issue at national level, it will not be possible to get both the constitutional amendment and approval of 50 per cent of legislatures for the same.
Three things – 1) Movement really has to come from all people of SA irrespective of party 2) As posted someone in this thread look for any possibility to file a case in Supreme Court 3) Possible options of putting pressure on BJP to vote against the bill.

Action Plan for “Protect Seemandhra”//”United Andhra” movement:
1)Educate Common Telugu Man:
Rapidly spread the message to the people of seemandhra (common man) through all communication channels. Ex: Mobile phone messages, Social Media (Facebook/Twitter), Sakshi paper/TV, Use spiritual gurus also if possible, involve youth/students, publish creative effective posters/pamphlets.
2)Educate National English Media:
National English media needs to be given the information that Congress/Sonia/Shinde has unilaterally declared Telangana for political gains and no due consultation process with stake–holders was followed.
3)Formation of non–political joint action committee:
All various organizations should be integrated effectively into this single joint action committee.
4)Single Target: Sonia/Congress High command.
Whatever you do, it should effect Sonia personally and politically. Then only Sonia will reconsider. Ex: Gandhi family Statues.
5)Show of Seemandhra unity in Hyderabad/State capital:
No matter, how many protests we do in our places, they are small compared to the one we do in our state capital , hyderabad. To show the seriousness of our movement, to Sonia, we should plan “”Protect Seemandhra Sabha” in Hyderabad. Sonia ki mind block ayyipovaali. If KCR attacks Seemandhra Sabha in Hyderabad, it is a self-goal for KCR, and it will prove that Seemandhra people will not be safe and will not have freedom in Telangana state. It will be a acid–test for Kondandaram/KCR.
5)Mass hunger strikes outside Sonia’s house in Delhi.
6)Block transportation network to Delhi. National Highways/Railways
7)Bring down the Central government with number of MPs from Seemandhra, and if possible take help from outside including Mulayam/Mamata.

The first reaction of the blog to the separation is how would it impact prospects of TDP not even YSRCP. That shows that enmity with TDP is the major driver rather than interests of the people.

We keep talking about action plans but have no idea of what they should be and some others are not happy with the current plans .
We are human beings and each party has its own limitations.
Even a 100 yr old congress and 40 yr old kdp is scratching their head.
For a newly born party we are doing far better than them.
Coming to the yellow comments ..we need to have immense self belief and dont have to get carried away by the comments made by some yellow caste fanatics in disguise.We have seen comments in disguise several times in this blog.This does not mean we are supicious about constructive critisism from party supporters. We rarely comment on some positive mindblowing decisions our Leader has taken over the recent past but quckly jump to conclusions for minor mistakes.
One recent decision …all YSRCP mlas resigning . They have resigned once , got reelected only recently but had the guts to take that decision.
I have not seen such daring decisions in politics before.
Sometimes we take days or even months to take simple decisions in our personal life and u can imagine how hard it will be to make those decisions as a Party fighting against all odds.
Yes even i keep posting here that Sakshi should take up the initiative of popularising our party symbol and some catchy slogans and I dont think this has happened. So i have decided to write to Sakshi editor and if it does not change then i will write to Bharathi garu. So these are my action plans. Each one of us are sodiers and we cannot expect and hope the other soldiers will have to win the battle for us.

When Sonia is behaving like TRS–KCR–agent, YSRCP can do nothing in Telangana. YSRCP should remain completely silent in Telangana, nothing else it can do in Telangana. Even after Telangana is formed, what if they say that CBN/Jagan are leaders from Rayalaseema, and Telanganites should be ruled only under a person born in Telangana. There is no guarantee for YSRCP as far as Telangana is concerned. Please remain silent on Telangana.
Coming to our YSRCP strategy on protecting interests of Seemandhra. When Kavuri Sambasiva Rao was given Cabinet minister, so many seemandhra MPs are made cabinet ministers (never like in the history of India), CM/PCC leaders are from Seemandhra, why did YSRCP political team totally failed to anticipate the moves of Sonia well before in hand. YSRCP team should have atleast launched this “Protect Seemandhra Interests” in a big way, a few months back, instead we simply wrote a letter to home minster “Shinde” and kept quiet. After giving letter to Shinde, YSRCP should have followed it with strong action plan on the ground, and should have taken the initiative to lead this movement.
Many YS fans, disappointment with YSRCP leadership is, we are missing TIMINGS while making our political moves. We are slow and not strategic.
1)YSRCP leader Vijayamma garu letter to Shinde but not followed it detailed action plan for the YSRCP cadre how to lead the movement on the ground??
2)YSRCP MLAs resignations in protest to Sonia unilateral actions on Bifurcation, but our party failed to explain the reasons to the people why they are resigning on that day. Only after damage done, Konda Surekha outburst, we released the four page letter explaining the reasons for resignations. Even after these MLAs resignations, where is the direction to the YSRCP cadre regarding taking this movement forward, how to protect interests of Seemandhra??
I am from Nellore, a stronghold of YSRCP. Where are the real protests on the ground by YSRCP, after CWC Telangana state formation decision. Atleast YSRCP should have showed the people of Nellore that Anam brothers are enacting dramas in Nellore, Anam is shedding crocodile tears, knowing fully well that Telangana is a reality. YSRCP leaders failed in Nellore to inspire masses and make it into real movement. Instead YSRCP leaders are protesting/strikes/bandhs just for name–sake.
With name–sake protests in Nellore by YSRCP, do you think they can counter Anam brothers dramas??
From Nellore example, even in YSRCP stronghold areas, there is no clear direction from the party to the cadre, what they are supposed to do on the ground, how to lead it, how to take the movement forward.
I can understand, YSRCP is in a difficult position, with our leader Jagan in Jail. But in the time of crisis only, our party strengths will be visible, we should rise to the occasion and not let down the telugu people.
Need of the hour, YSRCP should strategise how to force Congress leaders from Seemandhra to resign from Congress party and close Congress offices.

The worry is is central leadership serious about seemandhra concerns.
1. The declaration has no reference to seema concerns or a mechanism from party leadership that they have made a detailed study of the impact and has an elaborate plan to address the concerns. The never stated that they would be responsible for the development of both regions post decision.
2. They never assured people that they would conduct process of division with protection of the seemandhra interests as an integrated process.
3. They gave an impression that they are keen to complete the division as quickly as possible , there by giving an impression that SA concerns are ignored.
4. Digvijay sing sounded so haughty when he said that they SA has resources and can develop on their own rather than assuring that central leadership of the party would take up the responsibility of protecting SA interests.
5 Shinde has not even mentioned SA interests in the division process.
6 The KG basin issue and how the interests of SA were ignored for the last 4 years particularly post b-election where they lost 15 seats, does not generate confidence.
7 The way they managed people’s representatives ignoring the people is point to consider.
I am afraid , SA will not get what is due unless people fight for it.

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is back in news. This time for the wrong reasons. It’s a a known fact that although TDP did not state its stand on the Telangana issue, the leaders were silently supporting the division of state. After Centre decided to bifurcate the state, it’s not just Congress that’s in the eye of storm but also TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
Seemandhra leaders are seething with anger over Naidu’s silence on the issue. They feel that TDP remained a mute witness when the state was being divided.
Political observers feel that had Naidu supported no-confidence motion moved by TRS or YSRCP, the division of state could have been at least stalled if not avoided.
The TDP chief is in the line of fire for backing the ruling party with absolutely no concern over interests of the state or its people. Many feel Telangana issue would not be in focus if the government had collapsed and had gone to polls.
Sources say that Congress did consult Naidu on the issue before taking a final call. People feel that Naidu remained neutral till the last minute to play it safe. “He stayed mum to gain political mileage,” said a person closely following political developments in the state.
Political analysts also feel that division of state will give rise to many problems, including sharing of revenue and water resources. Although Digvijaya Singh made it clear that the resources will be shared, observers feel there is bound to be a clash on the issue. If that be the situation, one wonders who Naidu will support. Will he back Seemandhra being a seemandhra person or take the side of Telangana?
Following widespread agitations over bifurcation, everyone was of the opinion that the state will remain united despite the Congress announcement. However, Chandrababau’s statements yesterday made it clear that there will be no united AP.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi is learnt to have given a stern message to party leaders from Andhra and Rayalaseema regions to abide by the party decision to carve out a separate state of Telangana . She has also told leaders from the Telangana region to exercise restraint to ensure that the sharp divisions on the issue is not escalated into a full-blown crisis.

TDP’s Chandrababu Naidu made last-minute attempt to stall Telangana
In a last-minute failed desperate bid to stall the announcement for the creation of a separate Telangana state, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu had called at least three senior Congress leaders ahead of Tuesday’s crucial meetings.
Naidu, whose party had opposed Telangana when it was in power in Andhra Pradesh, and provided key outside support to the BJP-led NDA government, pleaded with Congress leaders, including Ghulam Nabi Azad and Digvijaya Singh, to either “abandon” the move or “delay it for the time being”.
Sources said the TDP chief also reminded the Congress leaders that his party did not “disturb” the Kiran Kumar Reddy government by bringing a no-confidence motion against it during the past two years.
In fact the party, which has 79 legislators in the 294-member house, had stayed neutral in the last no-confidence motion moved by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and the YSR Congress in the state assembly in March this year, a move that helped the Congress survive the crucial vote.
The TDP, which ruled Andhra Pradesh for nearly 17 years and once a formidable force in Telangana, has been relegated to political sidelines in the region due to its confusing stand on the issue of bifurcating the state.
After having opposed Telangana in 2000, the TDP took a U-turn in October 2008 when it passed a resolution, supporting the demand for a separate state. However, it continued with a series of flip-flops, consistently changing its stand based on political compulsions until December 2012 when the party sent a letter to the all-party meeting, finally in support of the demand.
Despite its popularity having declined over the years, the TDP’s political structure in Telangana remains intact. By conceding Telangana, the Congress has gained an upper hand in the region and is now in a position to dictate terms to the TRS.
There is hope for the TDP in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions where the Congress has lost ground due to its move to divide the state. But the YSR Congress remains the dominant political force in both these regions.

Forget about congress Leaders fighting for the rights of SA, I hope they are not actively participating in preparing bill (Various issues like water /revenue etc) so that this can be passed in 4 months . The terms of separation can not be decided by these congress men. They are required to be discussed at length with the stake holders

జిల్లా ప్రజల త్యాగాలను గుర్తించిన నాటి నేతలు శ్రీబాగ్ ఒడంబడిక, పెద్దమనుషుల ఒప్పందం ద్వారా.. రాయలసీమ హక్కుల పరిరక్షణ.. ప్రత్యేకంగా మన జిల్లా ప్రజల ప్రయోజనాలను రక్షించడానికి ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందించారు. కానీ.. ఆ ప్రణాళికలు అమలైన దాఖలాలు లేవు. ఇక ఉన్న హక్కులను కూడా హరించివేశారు. మన జిల్లాకు కూత వేటు దూరంలో ఉన్న కర్నూలు నుంచి రాజధానిని తరలించారు. సాగునీటి ప్రాజెక్టులను దారి మళ్లించారు. పారిశ్రామికాభివృద్ధిపై శీతకన్ను వేశారు. వందేళ్ల ‘అనంత’ చరిత్రను పరిశీలిస్తే.. 76 ఏళ్లు కరువుకాటకాలతో విలవిలాడారు. కానీ.. సీమ ప్రజలు.. ప్రధానంగా మన జిల్లా ప్రజలు విభజనను కోరలేదు. తెలుగు ప్రజలు బలహీనంగా ఉన్న రోజుల్లో.. అంటే 1953, 1956 నాటి పరిస్థితులను మననం చేసుకుని, విశాల దృక్పథంతో వేర్పాటువాదం బాట పట్టలేదు. ఇదీ వాస్తవం.
మెకంజీకున్న కరుణ కూడా లేకపోయెనే.:
కరువు.. అనంతపురం పర్యాయపదాలు అనడంలో అతిశయోక్తి లేదు. 1876, ధాతునామ సంవత్సరంలో ‘అనంత’లో ప్రారంభమైన కరువు 1901 వరకూ 25 ఏళ్లపాటూ కొనసాగింది. తాగేందుకు నీళ్లు దొరకక.. తినేందుకు పల్లేరాకు కూడా దొరకక విలవిల్లాడారు. చేసేదిలేక మనుషులను మనుషులే వేటాడి.. ఆ మాంసాన్ని భక్షించి, ఆకలి తీర్చుకున్నట్ల చరిత్ర చెబుతోంది. ఇది మెకంజీ వంటి కరడుగట్టిన బ్రిటీష్ సామ్రాజ్యవాదినే కరిగించివేసింది. ‘అనంత’కు తుంగభద్రమ్మను తెచ్చి.. కరువు రక్కసిని తరిమికొట్టాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో బ్రిటీష్ ఇంజనీర్ స్మార్ట్ను సర్వేకు ఆదేశించారు.
బళ్లారి, కర్నూలు సరిహద్దులోని తుమ్మలూరు వద్ద 300 టీఎంసీలతో తుంగభద్ర డ్యాంను నిర్మించి.. రాయలసీమ జిల్లాలకు 110 టీఎంసీలు తరలించి, సాగు, తాగునీళ్లు అందించేలా ప్రణాళిక రూపొందించారు. కానీ.. డ్యాం నిర్మాణ ప్రాంతాన్ని తుమ్మలూరు నుంచి బళ్లారి జిల్లా హొస్పేట్కు సమీపంలోని మల్లేశ్వరం వద్దకు మారింది. ఇందుకు కారణం ఎవరు? సీమకు.. ప్రధానంగా ‘అనంత’కు నీటి వాటాను కూడా తగ్గించేశారు. కేవలం 32.50 టీఎంసీలకు కుదించారు. మెకంజీ ప్రణాళికను పూర్తిస్థాయి అమలుచేసి ఉంటే.. ‘అనంత’ను కరువు రక్కసి కబళించేదా? ఒక్కసారి మననం చేసుకోండి. అయినా.. ఈ అన్యాయం పట్ల ‘అనంత’ ప్రజలు ఉద్యమించారా? త్యాగాలు చేశారా? అన్నది చరిత్రను పరిశీలిస్తే విశదమవుతుంది.
Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh is a complex issue, especially when Italian Sonia alias KCR–Agent, decided one-sided to give the well developed capital Hyderabad to Telangana separatists unilaterally.
Such a complex issue is being forcefully pushed into our telugu people throats in a dictatorship style and in a very hasty ill-thoughtful manner just for winning elections and before elections, will do irreversible damage to the future generations of telugu people.
I prefer, whoever wants to divide the state, they should also be made responsible till those state division terms are implemented. Italian Sonia is a gutless/unaccountable leader, she will divide Andhra state in 4-5 months time, and run away from implementing terms to the newly formed state. But if Amul–Baby–Rahul, fails in 2014 and then who will implement the terms for Andhra State division agreed after 2014. If BJP comes to power in 2014, they will not care a damn to implement the terms agreed by UPA for newly formed state.
