3. Why minorities have voted for TDP-BJP? TDP has pre poll tie up while we say we ll have post poll tie up based on the need..Is it not the TDP n YCP’s end objective same? Do you think people are fools in understanding it?

In AP the caste polarisation is very high..If in Kamma’s it is close to 100%, it is close to 75% in other castes..every caste adores or relate themselves a prominent personality in their caste and feels that guy is the representative of their caste..We have lost Raju community bcos they felt YSR n Jagan are the reasons for Satyam’s fate..No one from our side has countered it either in social media or openly when the situation comes..Like wise we have lost Vysyas support and Kapus support…The letters from unknowm caste sangham leaders do not impact their caste voters..This is evident in this elections..Though we have given seats to the majority of kapu guys, have they atleast reached to their caste voters in their constituency n made them believe they ll protect the caste interests rather than looking at their own benefit?
5. Not so effecient work of our sitting MLA’s..I have earlier mentioned it immediately after the by-elections..They should always be in the people with one reason or another reason n be in the news for good work..None of our sitting MLA’s made a difference in this aspect. They have failed to differentiate themselves from the other party MLA’s. All the time either they are spending in Hyd doing Jagan bhajana or resigning from their posts..(the resignations before bifurcations seems more like a thamasha)..The sitting MLAs lost a golden opportunity.
They need not wait for some problem to come nor they have to create a problem and project them selves as saviors..The simple thing if they conduct anna danam, vastra daanam programs atleast once a year in their constituency during some festivals..This ll create a good image in people. compared to the money we have to roll out during elections, the amount required is not much in this…
6. Jagan’s arrogance of not doling out money in local body elections n in general elections..He should understand politics is all about money..No one at the ground level ll work with out money..people at all the levels need money..Heard he has not given single paisa for local body elections..Any election is an election…if you take light about winning in any election thinking this ll not help me politically, then it is better to quit politics.
Even if we have not spent much money , we were projected in bad way.
7. Tirupathi episode..I dont know whats the problem if he signs on the declaration..He went there to seek the blessings of God.if he doesnt believe whats the point in going there..Even during Moghuls ruling our country, they never shied away from visiting temples during festival celebrations or offering clothes to the diety along with their wives..If he visits next time, make sure he ll go with his wife to seek the blessings..This is nothing but respecting the hindu religion..If wearing a cap is the method of respecting Islam, then visiting a temple with spouse, taking theertha prasadam, donating some money in hundi is the respect in Hinduism..We r not asking him to follow other religions, just a mere respect.
Regarding point 3, YSJ strength is in rayalaseema dist which have sizeable minority population which he cant risk to loose and to my knowledge except few pockets of Anantapur they have done well in whole rayalaseema. If YSJ supports modi they would split between TDP & YCP and point is if BJP goes for a pre-poll tie up with TDP then we wont Modi votes too….
For point 4, kapu’s vote is for Jagan in both Guntur & Krishna, atleast good number of them. Only in west & east they dont have clashes with kamma and opposition candidate is also kapu , then both choices are equal for them thats when policies, and other things come in to picture. Yes we have lost race in west godavari completely. I think its time we groom some strong raju leader in that region, i guess we lost it in terms of Raghurama Raju, not sure if the reason is to move prasad raju but somehow we created one more enemy.

I would have preferred Jagan getting 10k in pulivendula and rest shared across 10 other segments to get 10 more seats, rather than boosting 75k. At the end of the team has to win rather than few individuals only.

Sometimes i felt like Sakshi made us addicted to watch its channel & created a myth that people are not trusting CBN, instead they should have gone to people and find out the core reasons, core issues, why CBN might be preferred and atleast given feedback to YSJ?
To explain the psychology of Godavari dist & above, when they feel that they see that a person i being boosted a lot, they will keep silent and cut him to size when they get a chance, thats what they have done to YCP now, we lost 70 / 101 between Guntur – Srikakulam, needs a serious introspection. And they did the same to CBN in 2004 nicely, so its in their nature,….all we have to do is work silently and let our opposition grow to a size which coastal dist cant tolerate any more. This is proven in 1989/2004.
First & foremost action item for YSJ:
Build a team that is capable of countering allegations/attacks with the same magnitude against those alleging. While countering, they should sound intelligent, clever, appealing to the crowd. It requires a bit of psychology training, subject knowledge & understanding the reality.
This is the most important aspect that would drive us ahead of good long 5 years.
By doing this, YSJ will impress upon the cadre & cadre will follow the leaders closely with respect.

Even i heard about the 4th point which worked in Amalapuram it seems. And following article clearly specifies that YCP has hurt good amount of Hindu sentiments , atleast in coastal areas, we have lot to cover now.

One major learning is choose your opposition correctly, seems like even CBN was the person who has given letter for division, people still looked for him because according to them only CBN can match KCR. First let me say sorry for not doing my best to support YCP at ground level as I am in US and just came out of 6.5 long years of Ph. D (of course with this I learn that I can wait any longer for my goal). I am promising that next time on the Election Day I will be in the war zone no matter where I am.
Looking at the way how Modi manages people, I don’t think he is going to listen to every request/complaint by Babu and act as per his wish. I mean both in terms of doing favors and taking personal vendetta. I am pretty sure that he don’t close doors for his potential allies for 2019 and he definitely had that vision. Without personal revenge by PM office Indian legal system can’t convict him just based on the importance it gives to benefit of doubt in favor but not against anybody. I believe this is how Modi saved himself from riots cases inspite of congress effort to fix. Above all Sonia had no option other than extending all the help to bail him out with all the coterie she placed in the judicial system. My gut feeling is she is intact encourage jagan to strengthen himself in TG.
Let me finish with Kudos to CV Reddy Anna for fighting with so many forces in defense of Jagananna. I wish I had 10% of your commitment.

As Murthy garu suggested I think we should also look into constructive criticism here that should reach Jagan and his team.
If Babu could make it after 10 years we can make it in 5 years.
Jagan / Sharmila should also concentrate on T as there are millions of hearts there that admire their father. We have to win them back.
We should be clear to our opponents that if they trouble us for no reason then they will get it back too when we come to power. That is the strategy used in Tamilnadu.
Probable reasons for failure:
1. Inefficient PR team which couldn’t articulate party’s agenda.
2. Most of our second rung leaders are not that well known to public.
3. Lack of social activities by local leaders at ground level.
4. Heavily relied on YSR sentiment.
5. Failure to read psychological traps set by opponents – T issue was good example where we restricted ourself to SA & still we were projected as culprits in SA.
6. Confidence was needed but over confidence was not – signatures as cm.
7. Most important – We were NOT interested in clarifying things that public were interested in. like corruption charges, chappal at tirumala, you can add many things… if same would have been the case with Jayalalitha or Mamata, next minute they will come before media and make sure they give it back to their opponents.
Solution to all this is… If public needs US, they need to know US better. We should show them what & how capable we are. As a fresher, its hard to show them but small things make big difference.
1. Not interested to counter the allegations of Jagan colluded with congress
2. Not able to counter the allegations of Jagan spreading the religious conversions. Added to that Jagan himself shown reluctance to sign the declaration form when visited Tirumala. Jagan and family should maintain low religious profile.
3. Too much mentioning of Babu and his 9 yr rule in the speeches.
Also not able to counter the corruption allegations well.
Also In many tv shows TDP guys just say ” your party leader went to jail, and you are talking about corruption” . The people from our party did not counter effectively, or trying to tell why he is in jail.
One important thing is people have short memory, and they need to be told truth again and again.
Religion has played its part here, even if people might attempt to agree it here, people felt insecure when they heard that there are Islam teaching institutions coming up in Tirupati……..jagan temple episode caused issue…..when he in minority he shouldn’t show arrogance…..he should just sign it & gain more love from people who would appreciate it, tirumala footwear issue might be an oversite, only thing is media exploited it, but jagan should be quick in clarifying it & apologizing if he has hurt any sentiments……
All this maturity will come with few defeats like this, YSJ should read why YSR maintained a low profile of religion, good number of people in AP dont know that he is a christian till his death.
Vijayamma going with bible in hand has clearly shown its impact it seems (no offense to it, she gains courage doing so, but), in coastal region, where in they are already facing conversion issues and seeing the impact of it. (got to know it through few friends in coastal region)
Jagan’s house having “+” symbol makes some people uncomfortable….these kind of things will come only with experience, its is for these known reasons YSR maintained his religion identity as low profile.
Personal Front which will have impact on his political life like Corruption cases will be an issue, if he is convicted, he may be disqualified before 2014. He needs Plan B i.e Sharmila.
They need complete image makeover with the help of professionals.
They have to learn to work with team. They need to democratise party . they should hold the elected members together. Sycophants should be avoided. It requires tons of money to create and maintain party .
If they do not change it will be reduced JD9S) of AP.
People of AP will not have any choice in 2019. We will not have any election till 2019 as local elections are all done.

1. Reluctance to criticise Sonia and congress after coming out
2. Never unveiled himself before media
3. Failed address lower and upper middle class
4. “Babu is 65 and may not be there for next elections” is rude
5. He should spend time in improving his knowledge
6. He should not make unnecessary commitments like “no alliances ”
7. He may be asked to some his choice on capital, he should not commit himself unless he studies the issue like bifurcation (if only he had mentioned all the problems in his letter )
8.KG basin gas issue should be taken up
9 He should have leader in each district like mIthun reddy in chittoor, who takes up local issues
10 Get rid of people like Dwarampudi
11 Interact with people from all walks of life nit just poor.
In hindsight 4th point is true, even though it looked like he played to gallery during those meetings, respect your opponent is the message.
6th point is true, alliance is the magic of the game, i still standby my statement that alliance with CPI(M) would have brought no less than total 5 seats in “Anantapur/Guntur/Krishna”.
Dwarampudi has costed us both MLA & MP seat, kakinada MP we lost only by 5k votes.
I’m still wondering how come we lost close to 10 sitting MLA, which has done major damage here.
A sense a bit of arrogance, impatience towards points that are being thrown at him as allegations, everyone understands that those are wild allegations, but they should be answered fittingly, thats an art need to learn hardway.
He has skill to get near to lower & middle class, he has skill to explain his brain, he ignored to do it, major area to focus on.
Dist leaders in Anantapur/west & east godavari’s are the key. He should bring 2nd ring leaders like “Kodali/ambati/roja/chevireddy” strong vorators, give them platform to speak out. I would have loved to see ambati in assembly, Kodali & ambati would have ripped ruling party, bad luck for ambati.
Chittor is for peddireddy, kurnool is bhooma, Nellore need to evalute for mekapati he just won by 13k votes, prakasham we lost both jupudi & balineni
I sense that there is some infighting between gurnath & venkatram in Anantapur which lead to both of them loosing.
Vizag city leadership needs to be developed from scratch, the kind of majority all the 6 TDP MLA got is humongous, no body less than 20k.
Overall this has hit YSJ hard, he will slowly learn lessons from this defeat, only if he thinks that there is something beyond modi wave & Farmer loan waive off that caused this loss. He should read the sitting MLA loss carefully to ensure existing 67 wont loose in 2019, otherwise key message is lost.
I sense that YSJ had some insecurity feeling with 2nd ring leadership, which he should get rid of. Ambati should have been used to counter pavan, missed that chance. CBN does that kind of stuff nicely.
I’m fine that this loss came at the right time, without correcting these its not good to become CM of a new state.
Next 5yrs is to catch that oneliner magic scheme which will cut across entire state. CBN has promised sky in his manifesto, which might struggle a bit to deliver, this has to be taken up accordingly.
Religion issue has caused the biggest damage than any other reason. Heavily banking on minority will backfire as majority hindus though have caste differences feel not comfortable. I learned Brahmins, Vysyas, +..communities voted en mass to TDP/BJP though they love YSR.
1. Should remove + symbol on house, everybody has their religious beliefs. Even hindus have their houses etched with gods but christians carry the negative factor of spreading the religion. So the resistance arised.
2. Vijayamma should not carry bible though has her reasons it won’t go well with majority as they see it as religious spreading again.
3. Stop Bro Anil: He should stop doing the religious meetings otherwise carry a negative image on YSR family.
4. Sakshi coverage: Sakshi should stop giving coverage when Jagan family doing prayers in the church or any religious activity by the family.
5. Respect sentiments: Jagan whenever visited Tirumala there was some or other controversy. Once he refused to sign the declaration and other time wearing shoes. He should be so overcautious to avoid these mistakes.
We are not in a objective world and there is too much negativity against Christians because they irritate people for conversions just like ISKONs.
Finally follow YSR is the rule, low religious profile.

1. Leaders who has left congress and joined TDP. Difference of the votes came from them only. Understand if we would have made them to join us, the situation would been different. The fight has not happen between TDP and YSR Congress. It has happen between TDP+BJP+INC+JS(PK)+JSP and Jagan.
There are mistakes from our side like
1. We could not able to accommodate the people like JC, Rayapati, Etc INC leaders when they shown interest in joining us.
2. Our leader has not shown interest to align with BJP when they expressed interest.(this information came from known sources)
3. We had trusted poll surveys
4. We have categorically failed capturing complete Reddy and Kapu votes unlike TDP captured 99% chowdary votes.
Let us wait for 4 years and afterwards let us highlight the mistakes of TDP in bold letters on all social media sites and blogs. Let us work hard to bring down CBN govt and make Jagan next CM.

I strongly beilieve that a particular caste votes for a party when they really see sense in it. I remember “Mekthoti sucharitha” won last time from a K….dominated const in Guntur…they never thought that they are voting for opposite caste party.
even now if all k…. votes have gone in majority to TDP, its because they saw hope in TDP that he can rebuild andhra…he positioned himself as an experienced person…..said very simply that i will waive of your loan… a simple statement….YCP policies & schemes are a bit complex and of less benefit for people on a monthly terms. when you compare farmer loan waiver with Amma vodi , loan waiver is a one time one shot magic wand, where as amma void will give 12,000 per annum if you send both your kids to school….which has long term impact…but a person who is hopeless wants immediate relief…..thats it.
YSJ is bothered about financial implications much like CBN was worried in 2004 regarding Free power, YSR did promise to come to power…..CBN did the same this time, its just that YCP thought of being honest and want to some revamp of politics….
Cbn credibility we will know on june 2nd .Raitu Runa Mafi is 71000 crores & Dwakra Runa Mafi is 20000 crores total 91000 in new state only. Will cbn sign it in first day or not????

i believe many small advises come out of this blog are very valuable for Jagan and party, I presume it worth for Jagan to follow the blog periodically if not regular.
I think someone from the party follows it bcs I see few things happening after comments here. But we need to make sure that this reaches Jagan himself as there are some very useful advices here on a regular basis.
To an extent agreed, but we should start preparing our arsenal to hit back at a time when they start fiddling us. But if we tend to be silent, then we will be silent forever.
Reg. polavaram project beneficiaries there are whole lot of reports and most of them are our opponents, we need someone to keep them piled up & ready to use it.
YSR was very good at managing things like this, but honestly I dont see this now, may be there is a genuine reason not to do this.
Another Learning : In your campaign never ever say that opposition party wil be finished, its against the principles of democracy to not have an opposition party. YSJ during his campaign has done it every day by questioning the credibility of CBN & said that CBN will do anything to get in to power, otherwise it will be finished, these statements will make people sympathize with CBN ( as CBN himself is not in power for past 10yrs) and his silent supporters would regroup strongly, which is what happened.
There is lot of silent voting that happened, which was not caught by any exit polling agency, which took us by surprise. Those who supported YCP came out openly, those who supported TDP were silent, this is the reason for TDP being low profile on the day of voting, as they themselves were not aware of the voting trends.

I’m from Nalgonda and i see a huge opportunity to build YCP here along with alliance of MIM , CPI(M) and i’m sure by next term we would be main opposition party, as thats a deadly combination kind of alliance, MIM will bring minority votes close to 15% across telangana, as telangana minorities are more in their own sphere and dont mingle like andhra minorities (they speak telugu not so often) , YSJ is honing his hindi speaking skills, infact he spoke in hindi to minorities in khairatabad which was received well. CPI (M) will bring rural votes, and when CPI votes they vote solid, they vote blindly and they neither go with BJP nor with congress.
Congress in Telangana is in shatters now, and there is no better opportunity for YCP than now. Sharmila should jump in soon for this.

Nama, CM Ramesh, Sujana, I’ll name everyone if wanted, they were primary reason behind polavaram project not getting completed. They stopped working but they have taken huge money. YSJ dint point out this too.
I posted much longer in this blog that YSJ should have raised “Polavaram, Mannvaram, KG basin”, but to the reasons best known to him he hasn’t done it, by not speaking about corruption he indirectly went in to defensive. Going forward he should respond in the same lines of Modi “If i’m culprit, hand me, thats it, don’t put false allegation day in day out”.
We had every reason to counter allegations of pawan “seema porusham”, but we ignored saying if we respond it might go in to snowball controversy….but sometimes we have to play it to gallery….more than anyone Jagan has better rights to criticize KCR since he took United AP stand…..might be andhra people are looking for a hero who can take on KCR atleast verbally…as they have been really hurt by KCR good number of times……
If i were Jagan i would have said , well its easy to criticize KCR and bring in more discomfort to people, develop animosity, which calls for a danger of constant fights with our neighbor like Tamilnadu & Karnataka, do you want to have amicable realtionship with KCR and get your due water share & other resources (or) do you want to accept division and do business with your neighboring state, and ensure that all telugu people are one where ever they are and KCR is one of the telugu person. You can also raise doubts in settlers that my statement on KCR could have impact on settlers in telangana, for their benefit we shouldn’t get in to altercations.
I thought silent is the best answer, during the pavan campaigns, learning seems to be that its not always like that, your reply should be in such a way that it should put opposition in a fix, every allegation thrown at us should be used as a weapon. Thats what modi did when he was ridiculed that he is chaiwala….immediately he started “chai pe charcha” campaign and ensured all chai walah’s proud of him and ensured they propogate the message to others, the result is there for everyone to see, after 30+ yrs we are seeing a single largest party forming govt without any alliance partner support.

Seriously the PR team of Jagan needs to be revamped. YSJ sounded confident but not people friendly in his communication under the context of the mandate given. Lets people gave us a mandate to play a key opposition role.
Not only YSJ, this entire team that faces media should be revamped. They should be capable of rebutting opponents in any place & they should be innovative, clever & appealing (subject wise) in their point they make in public appearances.
I feel this is the top most priority in getting back on track.
I never supported caste politics but looks like andhra pradesh like to play caste politics. This is not an energetic politics and can lead to a mess or chaos. I have faith that chaos lead to order so hope that we gain some ground on good will perspective. We should now concentrate on Godavari jillas until next 5 years.
By saying YSR congress will merge with Congress, CBN diverted public’s attention onto YSJ & colluded with Congress to bifurcate the state on one & only firm basis, that was, TDP was strong in coastal on caste basis.
The day state was bifurcated, it was well known fact that TDP became stronger on the very basis of caste.
So sad and hard to digest the defeat. i am from telangana and i never been a big fan of state division but i always wanted to see Jagan win, waiting for another 5yrs is too long of a time, holding everything intact is bit of a challenge…. Even I thought in the same way many a time but then I agree with Lakshmi garu that this is a selfish world and we have to be careful before making personal sacrifices in a haste.

No need to blame a particular dist people, seems like we were let down by Anantapur dist than any other one, as we counted it as one of the strong dist, YSR did great things for this dist, in terms of diverting krishna water to that area, but still, might be with less majority……
Lets remember that it took KCR 13 yrs to achieve his dream, we took just 4 yrs to achieve the same amount of MLA seats in just one election.

One of the most important reasons that no one mentions so far. And this came from our opponent party’s leader , Chandu Sambasiva Rao. We did not do ground work well. He said they observed YCP cadre leaving early or not even existed in some booths. He said this during his post poll interviews. I had reason not to beleive him because we were on cloud nine.
Jagan also has to carefully look at his polling(survey) machine. Obviously either they did not do a good job of doing surveys/exit polls or something went wrong in their reporting.
He is only 40, many more years to go. Many more elections to go. Dont worry. We will all be behind him.

Delaying the Elections till 2014 by CBN is Master Stroke along with Mind less Congis….
Congress munuguthu manalni kuda munchesindi…..Just b’cos of having that “C” in the YSRCP name congress we have lost it….People don’t even want to looks at Congress word in SA as well as TG….
Its a strategy of congress to have its vote shift to TDP, so that they can decimate YCP , worked to an extent, but congress not getting a single MLA seat in andhra has knocked them out of any representation in assembly. Now only YCP can make people voice heard.
i think they all become one and fought ,we are always alone from the beginning,now also they will try to crush us because they have enough weapons,this all happened because of congress that is no doubt.now it may become more difficult to YSJ to come out from cases as CBN will hunt him ,party has to prepare for anything and should fight always should be in people,
The more he gets hunted, the more stronger we become, dont worry, andhra people have only one option to look for , for all the difficulties they have to resolve.
Multiple factors:
1. State bifurcation completed and people were in fear and to develop they need centre’s help. TDP was very successful to tap BJP,Modi, This is very good strategy by CBN. People do not have any other option other than supporting TDP or BJP to get their funds.
2. Jagan did not proved anything from development point of view. All we boast is about YSR. He should have optimally showed some problem solving skills through his party in his Constituency etc., Or by his party leaders.
3. His corruption cases should be expedited now and make sure atleast few cases were removed(As both BJP and TDP are in power). So that it will give a better image. We can project that all other cases are falsely implicated.
4. Other than religion and Reddy or SC caste, We are not able to project that our party is giving importance to all other “parties”. I know that we have given a big share to Kapu’s in party seats. But this kind of symbolism should have happened from long time.
5. Jagan should talk freely to media after this elections. And to project that he is approachable.
6. Our analytical department and Advisory department were completely failed and did not see what was coming through. Should have understood about People’s fear factor. This is related to my first point anyway.
I am expecting our party spokesperson should get involved in the TV discussion and give party members a feeler to work for next elections. Sakshi channel should minimize the time to half on projecting jagan from now and work hard to provide transparent telecast. Jagan now should clear all his cases before next elections so that we can easily hit the elections much much stronger. Anyway the number of MLA’s that we are getting are very very decent but need to work hard.
One thing which i haven’t liked is there are no spokesperson’s from YCP in any of the channels, this is not good, we need to be graceful of this result. This is not a drudding result, this is a result to hold head still high
Yes we need to come out of the shell.
We need to be proud that we wiped out our enemy number one Cong.
We need to be proud that we got 70 seats ,far better than the so called Megastars.
We need to be proud that we fought like warriors on our Own sticking to principles and human values.

2.Regarding Modi, even the so called impacted minorities have forgiven him( he was elected twice after the godhra incidents).,what is the wrong with us in accpeting him…every where in India are talking about him for the past 1.5 years right from autowala to a corporate executive….People infact has become more politically active bcos of the growth of news channels. So they wanted to choose their PM as well along with CM..(TamilNadu and West Bengal are exception because they have so much regional feeling that they want their leaders at the top..If you talk to a Tamilian n Benagli u come to know it..Telugu people do not have any such feeling). 3. Why minorities have voted for TDP-BJP? TDP has pre poll tie up while we say we ll have post poll tie up based on the need..Is it not the TDP n YCP’s end objective same? Do you think people are fools in understanding it?

In AP the caste polarisation is very high..If in Kamma’s it is close to 100%, it is close to 75% in other castes..every caste adores or relate themselves a prominent personality in their caste and feels that guy is the representative of their caste..We have lost Raju community bcos they felt YSR n Jagan are the reasons for Satyam’s fate..No one from our side has countered it either in social media or openly when the situation comes..Like wise we have lost Vysyas support and Kapus support…The letters from unknowm caste sangham leaders do not impact their caste voters..This is evident in this elections..Though we have given seats to the majority of kapu guys, have they atleast reached to their caste voters in their constituency n made them believe they ll protect the caste interests rather than looking at their own benefit?

Not so effecient work of our sitting MLA’s..I have earlier mentioned it immediately after the by-elections..They should always be in the people with one reason or another reason n be in the news for good work..None of our sitting MLA’s made a difference in this aspect. They have failed to differentiate themselves from the other party MLA’s. All the time either they are spending in Hyd doing Jagan bhajana or resigning from their posts..(the resignations before bifurcations seems more like a thamasha)..The sitting MLAs lost a golden opportunity.
They need not wait for some problem to come nor they have to create a problem and project them selves as saviors..The simple thing if they conduct anna danam, vastra daanam programs atleast once a year in their constituency during some festivals..This ll create a good image in people. compared to the money we have to roll out during elections, the amount required is not much in this…
6. Jagan’s arrogance of not doling out money in local body elections n in general elections..He should understand politics is all about money..No one at the ground level ll work with out money..people at all the levels need money..Heard he has not given single paisa for local body elections..Any election is an election…if you take light about winning in any election thinking this ll not help me politically, then it is better to quit politics.
Even if we have not spent much money , we were projected in bad way.
7. Tirupathi episode..I dont know whats the problem if he signs on the declaration..He went there to seek the blessings of God.if he doesnt believe whats the point in going there..Even during Moghuls ruling our country, they never shied away from visiting temples during festival celebrations or offering clothes to the diety along with their wives..If he visits next time, make sure he ll go with his wife to seek the blessings..This is nothing but respecting the hindu religion..If wearing a cap is the method of respecting Islam, then visiting a temple with spouse, taking theertha prasadam, donating some money in hundi is the respect in Hinduism..We r not asking him to follow other religions, just a mere respect.
Regarding point 3, YSJ strength is in rayalaseema dist which have sizeable minority population which he cant risk to loose and to my knowledge except few pockets of Anantapur they have done well in whole rayalaseema. If YSJ supports modi they would split between TDP & YCP and point is if BJP goes for a pre-poll tie up with TDP then we wont Modi votes too….
For point 4, kapu’s vote is for Jagan in both Guntur & Krishna, atleast good number of them. Only in west & east they dont have clashes with kamma and opposition candidate is also kapu , then both choices are equal for them thats when policies, and other things come in to picture. Yes we have lost race in west godavari completely. I think its time we groom some strong raju leader in that region, i guess we lost it in terms of Raghurama Raju, not sure if the reason is to move prasad raju but somehow we created one more enemy.

@ NLR :- Don’t feel otherwise, but we have to be constructive now onwards rather than boosting our self image a lot, doesn’t help YCP as a total party.
I would have preferred Jagan getting 10k in pulivendula and rest shared across 10 other segments to get 10 more seats, rather than boosting 75k. At the end of the team has to win rather than few individuals only.

And they did the same to CBN in 2004 nicely, so its in their nature,….all we have to do is work silently and let our opposition grow to a size which coastal dist cant tolerate any more. First & foremost action item for YSJ:
Build a team that is capable of countering allegations/attacks with the same magnitude against those alleging. While countering, they should sound intelligent, clever, appealing to the crowd. It requires a bit of psychology training, subject knowledge & understanding the reality.
This is the most important aspect that would drive us ahead of good long 5 years.

One major learning is choose your opposition correctly, seems like even CBN was the person who has given letter for division, people still looked for him because according to them only CBN can match KCR. So criticizing CBN hasn’t worked, this is due to YCP not getting ground reports properly, might becoz the org structure is not proper.

Dear friends,
First let me say sorry for not doing my best to support YCP at ground level as I am in US and just came out of 6.5 long years of Ph. D (of course with this I learn that I can wait any longer for my goal). I am promising that next time on the Election Day I will be in the war zone no matter where I am.
Looking at the way how Modi manages people, I don’t think he is going to listen to every request/complaint by Babu and act as per his wish. I mean both in terms of doing favors and taking personal vendetta. I am pretty sure that he don’t close doors for his potential allies for 2019 and he definitely had that vision. Without personal revenge by PM office Indian legal system can’t convict him just based on the importance it gives to benefit of doubt in favor but not against anybody. I believe this is how Modi saved himself from riots cases inspite of congress effort to fix. Above all Sonia had no option other than extending all the help to bail him out with all the coterie she placed in the judicial system. My gut feeling is she is intact encourage jagan to strengthen himself in TG.
Let me finish with Kudos to CV Reddy Anna for fighting with so many forces in defense of Jagananna. I wish I had 10% of your commitment.

As Murthy garu suggested I think we should also look into constructive criticism here that should reach Jagan and his team.
If Babu could make it after 10 years we can make it in 5 years.
Jagan / Sharmila should also concentrate on T as there are millions of hearts there that admire their father. We have to win them back.
We should be clear to our opponents that if they trouble us for no reason then they will get it back too when we come to power. That is the strategy used in Tamilnadu.
Probable reasons for failure:
1. Inefficient PR team which couldn’t articulate party’s agenda.
2. Most of our second rung leaders are not that well known to public.
3. Lack of social activities by local leaders at ground level.
4. Heavily relied on YSR sentiment.
5. Failure to read psychological traps set by opponents – T issue was good example where we restricted ourself to SA & still we were projected as culprits in SA.
6. Confidence was needed but over confidence was not – signatures as cm.
7. Most important – We were NOT interested in clarifying things that public were interested in. like corruption charges, chappal at tirumala, you can add many things… if same would have been the case with Jayalalitha or Mamata, next minute they will come before media and make sure they give it back to their opponents.
Solution to all this is… If public needs US, they need to know US better. We should show them what & how capable we are. As a fresher, its hard to show them but small things make big difference.

1. Not interested to counter the allegations of Jagan colluded with congress
2. Not able to counter the allegations of Jagan spreading the religious conversions. Added to that Jagan himself shown reluctance to sign the declaration form when visited Tirumala. Jagan and family should maintain low religious profile.
3. Too much mentioning of Babu and his 9 yr rule in the speeches.
Also not able to counter the corruption allegations well.
Also In many tv shows TDP guys just say ” your party leader went to jail, and you are talking about corruption” . The people from our party did not counter effectively, or trying to tell why he is in jail.
One important thing is people have short memory, and they need to be told truth again and again.
Religion has played its part here, even if people might attempt to agree it here, people felt insecure when they heard that there are Islam teaching institutions coming up in Tirupati……..jagan temple episode caused issue…..when he in minority he shouldn’t show arrogance…..he should just sign it & gain more love from people who would appreciate it, tirumala footwear issue might be an oversite, only thing is media exploited it, but jagan should be quick in clarifying it & apologizing if he has hurt any sentiments……
All this maturity will come with few defeats like this, YSJ should read why YSR maintained a low profile of religion, good number of people in AP dont know that he is a christian till his death.
Vijayamma going with bible in hand has clearly shown its impact it seems (no offense to it, she gains courage doing so, but), in coastal region, where in they are already facing conversion issues and seeing the impact of it. (got to know it through few friends in coastal region)
Jagan’s house having “+” symbol makes some people uncomfortable….these kind of things will come only with experience, its is for these known reasons YSR maintained his religion identity as low profile.
It is five long years from Now.
Personal Front which will have impact on his political life like Corruption cases will be an issue, if he is convicted, he may be disqualified before 2014. He needs Plan B i.e Sharmila.
They need complete image makeover with the help of professionals.
They have to learn to work with team. They need to democratise party . they should hold the elected members together. Sycophants should be avoided. It requires tons of money to create and maintain party .

People of AP will not have any choice in 2019. We will not have any election till 2019 as local elections are all done.

I sense that there is some infighting between gurnath & venkatram in Anantapur which lead to both of them loosing.
Vizag city leadership needs to be developed from scratch, the kind of majority all the 6 TDP MLA got is humongous, no body less than 20k.
Overall this has hit YSJ hard, he will slowly learn lessons from this defeat, only if he thinks that there is something beyond modi wave & Farmer loan waive off that caused this loss. He should read the sitting MLA loss carefully to ensure existing 67 wont loose in 2019, otherwise key message is lost.
I sense that YSJ had some insecurity feeling with 2nd ring leadership, which he should get rid of. Ambati should have been used to counter pavan, missed that chance. CBN does that kind of stuff nicely.
I’m fine that this loss came at the right time, without correcting these its not good to become CM of a new state.
Next 5yrs is to catch that oneliner magic scheme which will cut across entire state. CBN has promised sky in his manifesto, which might struggle a bit to deliver, this has to be taken up accordingly.

Religion issue has caused the biggest damage than any other reason. Heavily banking on minority will backfire as majority hindus though have caste differences feel not comfortable. I learned Brahmins, Vysyas, +..communities voted en mass to TDP/BJP though they love YSR.
1. Should remove + symbol on house, everybody has their religious beliefs. Even hindus have their houses etched with gods but christians carry the negative factor of spreading the religion. So the resistance arised.
2. Vijayamma should not carry bible though has her reasons it won’t go well with majority as they see it as religious spreading again.
3. Stop Bro Anil: He should stop doing the religious meetings otherwise carry a negative image on YSR family.
4. Sakshi coverage: Sakshi should stop giving coverage when Jagan family doing prayers in the church or any religious activity by the family.
5. Respect sentiments: Jagan whenever visited Tirumala there was some or other controversy. Once he refused to sign the declaration and other time wearing shoes. He should be so overcautious to avoid these mistakes.
We are not in a objective world and there is too much negativity against Christians because they irritate people for conversions just like ISKONs.

Another Learning : In your campaign never ever say that opposition party wil be finished, its against the principles of democracy to not have an opposition party. YSJ during his campaign has done it every day by questioning the credibility of CBN & said that CBN will do anything to get in to power, otherwise it will be finished, these statements will make people sympathize with CBN ( as CBN himself is not in power for past 10yrs) and his silent supporters would regroup strongly, which is what happened.
There is lot of silent voting that happened, which was not caught by any exit polling agency, which took us by surprise. Those who supported YCP came out openly, those who supported TDP were silent, this is the reason for TDP being low profile on the day of voting, as they themselves were not aware of the voting trends.

I’m from Nalgonda and i see a huge opportunity to build YCP here along with alliance of MIM , CPI(M) and i’m sure by next term we would be main opposition party, as thats a deadly combination kind of alliance, MIM will bring minority votes close to 15% across telangana, as telangana minorities are more in their own sphere and dont mingle like andhra minorities (they speak telugu not so often) , YSJ is honing his hindi speaking skills, infact he spoke in hindi to minorities in khairatabad which was received well. CPI (M) will bring rural votes, and when CPI votes they vote solid, they vote blindly and they neither go with BJP nor with congress.
Congress in Telangana is in shatters now, and there is no better opportunity for YCP than now. Sharmila should jump in soon for this.

What Cong, TDP & their gang did all these 4.5 years, were they not influencing CBI on YSJ?

By this we should tell to total Andhra the way that we are utilizing the resources from government and improving the standard for people.

No need to blame a particular dist people, seems like we were let down by Anantapur dist than any other one, as we counted it as one of the strong dist, YSR did great things for this dist, in terms of diverting krishna water to that area, but still, might be with less majority……
Lets remember that it took KCR 13 yrs to achieve his dream, we took just 4 yrs to achieve the same amount of MLA seats in just one election.

One of the most important reasons that no one mentions so far. And this came from our opponent party’s leader , Chandu Sambasiva Rao. We did not do ground work well. He said they observed YCP cadre leaving early or not even existed in some booths. He said this during his post poll interviews. I had reason not to beleive him because we were on cloud nine.
Jagan also has to carefully look at his polling(survey) machine. Obviously either they did not do a good job of doing surveys/exit polls or something went wrong in their reporting.
He is only 40, many more years to go. Many more elections to go. Dont worry. We will all be behind him.

Multiple factors:
1. State bifurcation completed and people were in fear and to develop they need centre’s help. TDP was very successful to tap BJP,Modi, This is very good strategy by CBN. People do not have any other option other than supporting TDP or BJP to get their funds.
2. Jagan did not proved anything from development point of view. All we boast is about YSR. He should have optimally showed some problem solving skills through his party in his Constituency etc., Or by his party leaders.
3. His corruption cases should be expedited now and make sure atleast few cases were removed(As both BJP and TDP are in power). So that it will give a better image. We can project that all other cases are falsely implicated.
4. Other than religion and Reddy or SC caste, We are not able to project that our party is giving importance to all other “parties”. I know that we have given a big share to Kapu’s in party seats. But this kind of symbolism should have happened from long time.
5. Jagan should talk freely to media after this elections. And to project that he is approachable.
6. Our analytical department and Advisory department were completely failed and did not see what was coming through. Should have understood about People’s fear factor. This is related to my first point anyway.

I am expecting our party spokesperson should get involved in the TV discussion and give party members a feeler to work for next elections. Sakshi channel should minimize the time to half on projecting jagan from now and work hard to provide transparent telecast. Jagan now should clear all his cases before next elections so that we can easily hit the elections much much stronger. Anyway the number of MLA’s that we are getting are very very decent but need to work hard.
