Andhra Pradesh finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Wednesday presented the TDP government’s first budget with an outlay of Rs1,11,884 crore, but came under fire for making no provision for the farm loan waiver scheme and allocation for the new capital city.
“Lakhs of farmers and women are anxiously waiting to hear about the loan waiver. But this budget has not thrown any light on that aspect. When the loan waiver needs Rs 1.2 lakh crore, there was nothing in the budget and people are very disappointed,” said YSRCP chief and leader of opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
The finance minister, however, clarified that they have allocated Rs 4,000 crore under plan and another Rs 1,000 crore under non-plan expenditure, to be used exclusively for the loan waiver sop.
But the clarification failed to convince the angry opposition and agriculture experts.
Mammoth AP Budget.
Without any revenue from Hyderabad,Where”ll the money come from?
The finance minister mostly depends on central grants! That shows the hollowness of the budget.
