Hudhud aftermath: Visakhapatnam remains without power, essential commodities
Times: People in this cyclone-ravaged port city in Andhra Pradesh continue to live without electricity and communication facilities for the third day on Tuesday. The lack of drinking water, shortage of milk and other essential commodities have added to their woes.
Two days after severe cyclonic storm Hudhud battered the coast, the city of 18 lakh remained under darkness. Lack of water supply has hit them hard. There is no piped water supply of drinking water. The motor pumps installed in houses and apartments are not functioning as the power supply is yet to be restored.
Citizens complained that authorities have failed to supply water through tankers. Cashing in on the situation are greedy retailers, who are selling 20 liter water bottle for Rs 300.
Women holding their children were seen running around for milk. Many of them were standing in serpentine queues. At some places half-liter packet is being sold for Rs 50, twice its actual price.

In social media(Facebook/twitter) I have seen some of the guys (claiming as YSRCP followers) are making horrible statements regarding the sad flood situation UA is facing. Not sure if these are real YSRCP followers are the Yellow Mafia guys. These are really Taliban kind of posts who does not have any sympathy towards people suffering. One post goes like “It is good that Vizag got the right treatment for their backstabbing the party in the recent elections”. Some could be genuine IDs while majority could be fake IDs. Knowing the way how TDP social media works I wont be surprised if they are fake IDs from NTR Trust Bhavan. But some seemed to be genuine ysrcp sympathizers.
If you know any of such extremists post, please ask them to get out of the party and join any Taliban group. Party does not need such kind of extremists support.
Yeah observed the same, sometimes when the people posting are not the direct sufferers , in the comfort of nice living condition they tend to draw various conclusions, which suites their mind set irrespective of the suffering being faced by other people. A better thinking comes only with age & better thoughts. In the whole scenario i think CBN did a better job and YSJ lost some opportunity to gain people confidence, scenario would have been different has YSJ been in Vizag on 11th October, not in terms of scoring marks of who came 1st, but in terms of giving confidence to people & making YSRCP followers think that this is everyone’s problem.

I am very confident that jagan will regain his lost grounds in another couple of years. The government will not get dissolve for another 5 years and until that time YSRCP has to prove its opposition status. React to the issues and fight for the people. My opinion is that we will easily get into 2019 elections but our guys need positive thining instead of thinking about the twitterish usless guys. It is very difficult for politicians to be there in the middle of a storm. That will put their lives and others lives at risk. Secondly people are more keen to save their lives and belongings after any storm than writing to speak to the poiticians. I think it is better to visit now and encourage the cadre to help out in the restoration of normality.

రుణాలు మాఫీ అవుతాయని గంపెడాశలు పెట్టుకున్న ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ రైతాంగానికి కడగండ్లే దిక్కవుతున్నాయి. రుణమాఫీపై సీఎం చంద్రబాబు రోజుకో మాట మాట్లాడుతుండటంతో అన్నదాతలు గందరగోళానికి గురవుతున్నారు. ప్రభుత్వ ఆదేశాల ప్రకారం బ్యాంకులకు రోజుకో రకంగా ఆదేశాలు వెలువడుతున్నాయి. ఇవి రైతులకు మేలు చేసేవిగా కాక మరింత భారాన్ని వేస్తున్నాయి.
ఎన్నికలకు ముందు రుణాలు చెల్లించవద్దని చెప్పిన చంద్రబాబు ఇప్పుడు పూటకో మాట మాట్లాడుతున్నారు. కొత్తగా రుణాలు తీసుకున్నవారు, 40 పైసల నామమాత్రపు వడ్డీని చెల్లించకుండా ఆగిపోయారు. ప్రస్తుత పరిస్ధితులతో అది కాస్తా రెండు రూపాయలకు చేరుకోవడంతో గుండెలు బాదుకుంటున్నారు.
ప్రభుత్వ విధానాలతో అన్నదాతలు ప్రైవేట్ వడ్డీ వ్యాపారుల వద్ద అధిక వడ్డీలకు అప్పులు చేస్తున్నారని ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.
రుణమాఫీపై ఎన్నో ఆశలు పెట్టుకున్న రైతులకు వడ్డీభారం గుదిబండగా మారింది. ఇటు కౌలు రైతులు, చిన్న, సన్నకారు రైతులకు రుణమాఫీ వర్తించక తీవ్ర ఆవేదన చెందుతున్నారు. ఇప్పటికైనా ప్రభుత్వం సమగ్రంగా చర్చించి యావత్ రైతాంగానికి మేలు జరిగే విధంగా చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని అన్నదాతలు వేడుకుంటున్నారు.
