Vijayawada: The farmers of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) village on Saturday held a protest at the local CRDA office, demanding that the officials return the consent letters that they have given earlier. The development, according to the villagers, was not because of the recent tour of the YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy or the Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. But, it was due to the failure of the government to ‘acquire’ the lands from those farmers who have refused to give their land in pooling.

The farmers of Nowluru village of Mangalagiri mandal went to the local CRDA office in the village on Saturday evening and asked the officials that their consent letters be returned. Shocked at the demand, the officials said that they have no powers to return the letters. The farmers were irked at the reply and raised slogans against the officials for not returning their letters. As the farmers held protest inside the office, the officials available there advised them to approach the senior officials including the CRDA commissioner or the Guntur district Collector
“We have given the consent letters only due to fear of the government invoking the Land Acquisition Act and depositing the compensation in the banks. We have given the letters after February 25, when the government had set the deadline. We were scared of losing both the land and the compensation too. So we have given the letters,” Vasantha Rao said. He further added that he had lost one acre of land 30 years ago when the Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri Urban Development Authority (VGTM-UDA) acquired lands for township.

Rural Economy To Take A Hit In The Long Run, Fear Farmers, Agri Experts
Several lakh tonnes of foodgrains such as paddy, maize, chillies, onions, turmeric as well as fruits and flowers will no longer to be grown in the 30,000 acres of fertile land in Guntur district that will soon give way to a concrete capital city for the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Although the loss of these crops may be a tiny part of the total foodgrain, fruit and vegetable production in the 13 districts of AP, agriculture experts say this loss of fertile land will have an adverse impact on the rural economy in the long run.
According to the statistics available with the agriculture department, the yield of various crops in these 26 villages in 2013-14 was as follows: Paddy (5,636 tonnes), maize (35,541 tonnes), chillies (4431 tonnes), turmeric (4431 tonnes), onions (1.37 crore tonnes) and cotton (13,690 tonnes). Apart from agriculture, which include black gram, Bengal gram and green gram, the three mandals of Tullur, Mangalagiri and Tadepalli are also rich in horticulture and floriculture. Nearly 33 lakh acres of land in the 26 villages grow horticulture crops. While vegetables are grown on 7,508 acres, fruits are cultivated on 4,538 acres. The vegetables include cucumber, ladies finger, beans, tomato, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, brinjal, cauliflower, soya bean, gherkin and yam.The fruits included banana, guava and acid lime. Among flowers, the villages grow rose, marigold, chrysanthemum, lily and jasmine.

The organizers had arranged Vinoba’s stay at Pochampalli, a large village with about 700 families, of whom two-thirds were landless. Pochampalli gave Vinoba a warm welcome. Vinoba went to visit the Harijan (the Untouchables) colony. By early afternoon villagers began to gather around Vinoba at Vinoba’s cottage. The Harijans asked for eighty acres of land, forty wet, forty dry for forty families that would be enough. Then Vinoba asked,”If it is not possible to get land from the government, is there not something villagers themselves could do?” To everyone’s surprise, Ram Chandra Reddy, the local landlord, got up & said in a rather excited voice: “I will give you 100 acres for these people.” At his evening prayer meeting, Ram Chandra Reddy got up & repeated his promise to offer 100 acres of land to the Harijans. This incident neither planned nor imagined was the very genesis of the Bhoodan movement & it made Vinoba think that therein lay the potentiality of solving the land problem of India. This movement later on developed into a village gift or Gramdan movement. This movement was a part of a comprehensive movement for the establishment of a Sarvodaya Society (The Rise of All socio-economic-political order), both in India & outside India.

BITS , bharathi cements , etc….

ఇదిలా ఉండగా, గత కొంతకాలంగా కనిపించకుండా, వినిపించకుండా పోయిన జన సేన పార్టీ అధ్యక్షుడు పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌ హఠాత్తుగా తెరపైకి వచ్చారు. ఎన్నికల తర్వాత సినిమాలకే పరిమితమైన ఆయన కేంద్ర బడ్జెట్‌ తర్వాత ఏపీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడిని కలిశారు. మంత్రి కామినేని శ్రీనివాస్ ఆయనను ముఖ్యమంత్రి వద్దకు తీసుకువెళ్లారు.
వారిద్దరూ ఏమి మాట్లాడుకున్నారో తెలియదు గానీ ఒక శుభోదయాన పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌ రాజధాని కోసం భూములను సమీకరిస్తున్న గ్రామాలలో ప్రత్యక్షమయ్యారు. మూడు నాలుగు గంటలపాటు సాగిన తన పర్యటనలో ఆయన రెండు మూడు రకాలుగా మాట్లాడారు. పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌ పర్యటన సందర్భంగా ఆయన అభిమానులు సృష్టించిన హంగామా చూసిన వారికి ఏపీ ప్రజలపై జాలి పడాలో, కోప్పడాలో తెలియని పరిస్థితి. ఏపీకి ప్రత్యేక హోదా రావడం లేదనీ, ఆర్థిక సహాయం సక్రమంగా అందడం లేదనీ ఆందోళన చెందుతున్న సమయంలో, తమకు అవేమీ పట్టవనీ, తన అభిమాన హీరోను కళ్లారా చూసుకుంటే చాలుననీ పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌ అభిమానులు నిరూపించారు. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సాధనలో తెలంగాణ ప్రజలు ప్రదర్శించిన నిబద్ధత చూసిన వారికి పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌ అభిమానుల తీరు చూస్తే రోత పుడుతుంది. ఈ ఎపిసోడ్‌ను చూసిన తర్వాత పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌ను ఏపీ ప్రజలు రాజకీయ నాయకుడిగా చూస్తున్నారా? సినిమా హీరోగా మాత్రమే చూస్తున్నారా? అన్న సస్పెన్స్‌ వీడిపోయింది. సందేహం లేదు. ఆయనను హీరోగానే చూస్తున్నారు.
పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌ కూడా తనను తాను రాజకీయ నాయకుడిగా నిరూపించుకోవడానికి ప్రయత్నించిన దాఖలాలు లేవు. ఒక మిత్రుడు వ్యాఖ్యానించినట్టుగా పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌ పార్ట్‌ టైమ్‌ పొలిటీషియన్‌ మాత్రమే! అంతేకాదు రాజకీయాలలో ఆయన అప్పుడప్పుడు గెస్ట్‌ అప్పియరెన్స్‌ ఇస్తారు కూడా! అంతేకాదు ఒక రాజకీయ పార్టీ అధ్యక్షుడికి ఉండాల్సిన పరిపక్వత తనకు లేదని పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌ నిరూపించుకున్నారు. రాజధాని గ్రామాల పర్యటన సందర్భంగా కాసేపు చంద్రబాబు ప్రభుత్వంపై ఆగ్రహం ప్రదర్శించారు. మరికాసేపటికి అంతా బాగుందని కితాబు ఇచ్చారు.
పర్యటన సందర్భంగా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి హెచ్చరికలు జారీచేసిన ఆయన మరుసటి రోజు హైదరాబాద్‌లో ఏర్పాటుచేసిన విలేకరుల సమావేశంలో స్వరం మార్చారు. భూములు ఇచ్చిన రైతులకు చంద్రబాబు ఇచ్చిన ప్యాకేజీ బాగుందని ప్రశంసించారు. రాష్ర్టానికి ప్రత్యేక హోదా సాధించవలసిన బాధ్యత ఎంపీలపై ఉందని ముందు రోజు ప్రకటించిన పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌, మరుసటి రోజు మాటమార్చి ఇచ్చిన మాటకు కట్టుబడి ఉండవలసిన బాధ్యత బీజేపీపై ఉందని ప్రకటించారు. మొత్తంమీద ఆయన సరైన ఎక్సర్‌సైజ్‌ చేయకుండా రంగంలోకి దిగారని తేలిపోయింది. రాజకీయాలలో కొనసాగాలంటే ఆయన నిరంతరం అందుబాటులో ఉండాలి. ఆకాశంలో తారల వలె తళుక్కున మెరిసి చిటుక్కున మాయం అయితే కుదరదు. సినిమాలలో ఆయా సన్నివేశాలలో నటించే ముందు ఆయన రిహార్సల్స్‌ చేస్తారో లేదో తెలియదు గానీ రాజకీయ నాయకుడిగా స్థిరపడాలనుకుంటే చాలా రిహార్సల్స్‌ చేయవలసి ఉంటుంది. ప్రజలు తనను నాయకుడిగా చూసే పరిస్థితి కల్పించుకోవాలి. ఇందుకోసం పవన్ కల్యాణ్‌కు ట్యూషన్‌ అవసరమేమో తెలియదు!
