ACB chargesheet aims at Revanth but fires at Chandrababu Naidu
The chargesheet filed by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the cash-for-vote case on Tuesday claims that the person referred to as ‘Babu’, ‘Boss’ and ‘Naidu’ by the main accused is actually Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.
“We mentioned the name of Chandrababu Naidu in the chargesheet after taking into consideration the details of conversations of the accused and also the statement of complainant Elvis Stephenson recorded by a magistrate under Section 164 of the CrPC,” ACB special public prosecutor V Surender Rao told TOI.
Stephenson, named as its key witness by the ACB, unequivocally mentioned in his statement that he was told by the accused that they have come with money to him only on the orders of Naidu, the special PP said.
According to the ACB, prime accused and TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy and Harry Sebastian, in course of their telephonic conversations with Stephenson, repeatedly referred to one ‘Boss’ and “Naidu.’ The investigative agency referred to the alleged conversation Naidu had with Stephenson from Sebastian’s phone and Revanth Reddy’s open claims that he was deputed by ‘Naidu’ for the job and that he would secure several favours for Stephenson if he voted for the TDP nominee.

Anantapur: The pro-Rayalaseema agitation is gaining ground in all parts of the region with the Centre and the AP government ignoring the decentralisation of the development process in AP.

అనంతపురం జిల్లాలోని రైతుల కుటుంబాలలో మరణ మృందంగం మోగుతూనే ఉంది. కరువు కాటుతో ఆర్థికంగా చితికిపోయి.. అప్పుల బాధ నుంచి తేరుకోలేక..ప్రభుత్వం చేయూత అందక పలువురు అన్నదాతలు బల వన్మరణాలకు పాల్పడుతున్నారు. వరుసగా ఐదవ యేట కూడా జిల్లాలో సాగుకు అనుకూల వాతావరణం లేదు. వర్షాభావ పరిస్థితులతో తీవ్ర నష్టాలు చవిచూస్తున్న రైతులు అప్పుల ఊబిలో కూరుకుపోతున్నారు. 2014 నాటికి అనంతపురం జిల్లాలో ఏడు వేల కోట్ల రూపాయల పంట రుణాలు ఉన్నాయి. వీటికి అనేక షరతులు పెట్టి మూడు వేల కోట్లకు కుదించింది. ఈ అప్పు అయినా పూర్తిగా మాఫీ అవుతుందా అంటే అదీ కాలేదు. వెయ్యి కోట్లు మాత్రమే విడుదల చేసి చేతులు దులుపుకున్నారు. దీంతో బ్యాంకులు అప్పును వడ్డీ సహా కట్టాలని ఒత్తిడి తెస్తున్నాయి. మరోవైపు పంటరుణం కోసం బ్యాంకుల్లో పెట్టిన బంగారాన్నీ వేలం వేస్తున్నారు. వీటికి తోడు ప్రయివేటు వడ్డీ వ్యాపారుల ఒత్తిడి అధికమైంది. వాటి నుంచి బయటపడే మార్గం కనిపించక రైతులు ఆత్మహత్యలు చేసుకుంటున్నారు. గత ఏడాది టిడిపి అధికారంలోకి వచ్చిన నాటి నుంచి ఇప్పటి వరకు జిల్లాలో 95 మంది రైతులు బలవంతంగా తనువు చాలించారు. నెలకు సగటున ఏడుగురు రైతులు రుణభారానికి బలయ్యారు.
పత్తాలేని పరిహారం
రైతులు ఇంత దారుణంగా దెబ్బతింటున్నా వారికి ఆసరా ఎక్కడా లభించడంలేదు. 2013లో నాటి ప్రభుత్వం ప్రకటించిన రూ.654 కోట్లు ఇన్‌పుట్‌ సబ్బిడీ ఇంత వరకూ అందలేదు. 2014లో కేంద్ర పెంచిన స్కేల్‌ ఆఫ్‌ ఫైనాన్స్‌ ప్రకారం జిల్లాకు రూ.856 కోట్లు రావాల్సి ఉంది. పాత నిబంధనలనే పరిగణలోకి తీసుకోవడంతో రూ.567 కోట్లు మాత్రమే రానున్నాయి. అది కూడా ఎప్పుడు వస్తుందో తెలియకుండా ఉంది. ఇక ఈ యేడాది కరువు కారణంగా పంట ఎండిపోతోంది. అన్నీ సిద్ధం చేసుకున్నా వర్షాలు లేకపోవడంతో ఇంకా విత్తనమే వేయని రైతులు చాలా మంది ఉన్నారు.
కన్నీటి గాథలెన్నో…
బుక్కపట్నం మండలం యాదాలంకపల్లి గ్రామానికి చెందిన ఓబుళనాయుడు (44)కు ఎనిమిది ఎకరాల పొలముంది. ఐదేళ్ల వరుస కరువుతో పెట్టుబడులు చేతికిరాలేదు. రూ.4 లక్షలు అప్పు అయింది. ఉపాధి లేక అనంతపురం వలస వచ్చాడు. ఇక్కడ అరకొర పనులు చేసుకున్నా ఆదాయం అంతగా రాలేదు. మరోవైపు అప్పుల వాళ్ల నుంచి ఒత్తిళ్లు అధికమయ్యాయి. దీంతో వేరే దారిలేక పురుగుల మందు తాగి సోమవారం ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకున్నాడు. చెల్లి పెళ్లికి అప్పు చేసేదారి లేక.. యువ రైతు కొదండరామిరెడ్డి ఆత్మహత్యకు ఒడిగట్టాడు. తల్లిపేరిట ఉన్న పాస్‌పుస్తకంపై రూ. 65 వేలు పంట రుణం తీసుకొని చెల్లించేశాడు. చెల్లి వివాహ ఖర్చులకు మళ్లీ రుణం తీసుకోవాలనుకున్నాడు. పాస్‌పుస్తకం ఇవ్వకుండా బ్యాంకు మేనేజర్‌ వేధించడంతో విషం తాగి బ్యాంకు ఎదటే ప్రాణాలు తీసుకొన్నాడు. ఈ విధంగా అన్నదాతల మరణ ఘోష జిల్లాలో అంతా ఇంతా కాదు.

స్టీఫెన్ సన్ తో ఉన్న వీడియోలో పలుమార్లు బాస్ చెబితేనే వచ్చాను అనే పదాన్ని పలుమార్లు అన్నాడు. ఈ బాస్ ఎవరని విచారించిన ఏసీబీకి విచారణలో ‘బాస్ అంటే ఏపీ సీఎం, తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీ అధినేత నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు” అని కుండబద్దలు కొట్టినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. మొదట విచారణలో మొరాయించినా తరవాత ఒప్పుకున్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.
ప్రస్తుతం విచారణలో వెలుగుచూసిన అంశాలతో ఛార్జ్ షీట్ దాఖలు చేసిన ఏసీబీ మరో సప్లిమెంటరీ ఎఫ్ఐఆర్ ను కోర్టుకు సమర్పించేందుకు సిద్దమవుతున్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. ఇందులో చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు పేరుతో పాటు ఈ వ్యవహారంలో రూ.50 లక్షలు సమకూర్చిన బడాసంస్థ, వాటి వెనక ఉన్న వ్యక్తుల పేర్లను చేర్చనున్నట్లు సమాచారం. మరో వారంలో ఈ సప్లిమెంటరీ ఎఫ్ఐఆర్ వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉంది.
