Hyderabad: Indirectly indicating that the Andhra Pradesh police was protecting cash-for-vote scam accused Jerusalem Mattaiah, AP Director-General of Police J.V. Ramudu said on Wednesday that it was the duty of the police to help when someone sought protection.
Without taking any names, Mr Ramudu said that based on a complaint the police was providing needed help to a “victim”. However, he denied that there was growing rivalry between the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state police and added that the entire force gave priority to the national interest.
Responding to a question from reporters regarding allegations that the AP police was protecting Mr Mattaiah and other absconding accused in the cash-for-vote scam, the police chief said, “The police is not partial. But we will have to protect the complainant since the matter is in the courts.”
Mr Mattaiah had apparently fled to Vijayawada and approached the AP police seeking protection after Telangana ACB sleuths started arresting the accused in the scam.
Earlier, the TS ACB had found that Mr Mattaiah and Mr Jimmy Babu were being protected by some “influential people”. ACB officials had also started exploring legal avenues to tackle these people. They said that if necessary, they would send a notice to the AP police in this regard.

Baby dies after rat bites in ICU of Guntur Government General Hospital
Guntur: A 10-day-old baby boy died on Wednesday at the Guntur Government General Hospital after being bitten twice by a rat over three days.
The child was first bitten on Sunday and then again on Wednesday while undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit. The infant’s mother, Chavali Lakshmi, a resident of Krishnalanka in Vijayawada, alleged that the doctors, nurses and other hospital staff did not listen to their complaints that rats had caused serious injuries to her infant.
She claimed that on Wednesday morning none of the hospital staff was available to save the infant. Also, the medical staff did not start treatment immediately after the rats bit the infant, alleged Ms Lakshmi.
She said that some of the duty doctors and nurses, who were in their chambers, did not come to the ventilator to check on the infant and that the doctors did not inform them even after death. The infant’s father also alleged that hospital staff was negligent.

6..ఇంతకుముందు శివరామకృష్ణన్ కమిటీ తప్పు కమిటీ అది తమిళ కమిటీ కుట్ర అన్నారు ఒక టీవీ చర్చలో.గతం లో కర్నాటకకు చెందిన శ్రీకృష్ణ కమిటీ కరెక్టు అన్న మీరు రాజధాని కృష్ణ గుంటూర్ లో వద్దు అనేసరికి మీకు శివరామకృష్ణన్ కమిటీ తప్పు అంటారు,

YSJ should stop commenting on CM post, he should not sound like power hungry (or) cry baby for that post. He should simply focus on people’s issues and let people take a call. The more he mentions about the CM post the more he will be ridiculed and atleast educated people will feel that he is in a hurry.
