బెజవాడవైపు జగన్ చూపు! ఆంధ్రభూమి
అమరావతి, మార్చి 9: రాష్ట్ర రాజధాని అమరావతిలో పార్టీ కార్యకలాపాలు ఇకపై మరింత ముమ్మరం చేయాలని వైసీపీ అధినేత వైఎస్ జగన్ నిర్ణయించారు. ఆ మేరకు శాశ్వత భవనం నిర్మించుకునే వరకూ విజయవాడ నగరంలోనే తాత్కాలికంగానయినా నివాసం ఉండాలని ఆయన భావిస్తున్నట్లు పార్టీ వర్గాలు చెప్పాయి. రాజధాని నగరమైన విజయవాడలో పార్టీ పట్టుసాధించాలంటే అక్కడ బలంగా ఉన్న కమ్మ సామాజికవర్గ హవాను ఎదుర్కొనేందుకు మరొక బలమైన కాపు సామాజికవర్గ సహకారం తీసుకోవాలని భావిస్తున్నారు. కాపులతోపాటు, నగరంలో బలంగా ఉన్న బ్రాహ్మణ, వైశ్య, యాదవ వర్గాలనూ సమన్వయం చేసుకుంటేనే బెజవాడలో ఉనికి చాటుకోగలమని గ్రహించిన జగన్, ఆ మేరకు వ్యూహరచన చేస్తున్నారు. అందులో భాగంగా కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలో నగర స్థాయిలో కీలకనేతగా ఉన్న బ్రాహ్మణ వర్గానికి చెందిన మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యేను త్వరలో పార్టీలో చేర్చుకునేందుకు రంగం సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పటికే వైశ్య వర్గానికి చెందిన మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే వెల్లంపల్లి శ్రీనివాస్‌ను పార్టీలో చేర్చుకుని ఆయనకు నగర పార్టీ అధ్యక్ష పదవి ఇచ్చారు. యాదవ వర్గానికి చెందిన పార్ధసారథిని జిల్లా అధ్యక్షుడిగా నియమించారు.

విజయవాడ, గుంటూరులో మీడియా సహా అన్ని రంగాల్లోనూ ఒకే సామాజికవర్గం హవా ఉన్నందున, ఇప్పటివరకూ మిగిలిన పార్టీలకు ప్రాధాన్యం ఇవ్వడం లేదని, మీరు వస్తే ఈ పరిస్థితి మారుతుందని పార్టీ సీనియర్లు సూచించారు. అదేవిధంగా ఆ సామాజికవర్గం దూకుడుపై రాజధాని రెండు జిల్లాల్లోని మిగిలిన వర్గాలు ఆగ్రహంగా ఉన్నందున, వారికి చేరువకావాలంటే మీరు ఇక్కడే ఉండాలన్న వారి సూచనలను జగన్ అంగీకరించారంటున్నారు. కాగా, జగన్‌కు తన నివాసం ఇచ్చేందుకు వెల్లంపల్లి సిద్ధం కాగా, సువిశాలమైన తన స్థలంలో ఇల్లు కట్టించి ఇస్తానని మాజీ మంత్రి, కృష్ణా జిల్లా పార్టీ అధ్యక్షుడు పార్ధసారథి పార్టీ అధినేతను కోరినట్లు తెలిసింది

కృష్ణా జిల్లాలో జరిగిన బస్సు ఘటనపై ప్రభుత్వం తనపై కేసులు పెట్టినా, ఆ సంఘటనలో ప్రజలు తననే సమర్థిస్తున్నారన్న విషయం సర్వే ద్వారా తెలుసుకున్న జగన్, ముందు విజయవాడ, కృష్ణాజిల్లాపై దృష్టి సారించాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నారు. విజయవాడలో తన సామాజికవర్గ బలం తక్కువయినా కాపు, బ్రాహ్మణ, వైశ్య, యాదవ వర్గాలతో కలసి తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీకి సంప్రదాయ మద్దతుదారుగా ఉన్న సామాజికవర్గాన్ని ఎదుర్కోవడం సులభమవుతుందన్న వ్యూహంతో జగన్ అడుగులు వేస్తున్నారు.

ACB: Cash-for-vote key meeting held at Naidu’s city house
TDP MLA Named Fifth Accused In Sppl Chargesheet
Telangana AntiCorruption Bureau (ACB), which is probing the `cash-forvote’ scam has named Sathupalli TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah as accused number five (A-5) in its supplementary chargesheet and urged the court to prosecute him under provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act.
The chargesheet also said Veeraiah and few party legis lators and leaders met at the Jubilee Hills residence of Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad on May 30, 2015, before proceeding to buy nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson’s vote in the MLC election in favour of TDP nominee V Narender Reddy . On May 31, 2015, ACB carried out a sting operation and arrested TDP MLA Revanth Reddy and others and seized `50 lakh cash from them.

In the latest chargesheet, ACB delved into the probable role of Naidu, but stopped short of making him an accused. However, there’s no absolute relief for Naidu as ACB said it will file a third chargesheet naming remaining accused in the `cashfor-vote’ case. It was by recording statements of drivers and gunmen of TDP leaders that the ACB could establish that a crucial meeting of TDP leaders took place at Naidu’s residence on May 30, 2015.

ACB filed the supplementary chargesheet about a month ago and the court took cognizance of it on March 6. TOI could access details of the chargesheet on Thursday .

In the first chargesheet, Revanth Reddy , Bishop Harry Sebastian, Rudra Uday Simha and Matthaiah Jerusalem were named accused no. 1 to 4. However, the high court quashed the case against Jerusalem, which is currently being challenged by ACB in the Supreme Court.After Veeraiah was named accused number 5, ACB court issued summons to the TDP legislator to appear on March 31.

In its latest chargesheet, ACB traced call data of the five accused, TDP Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath, MLC candidate Narender Reddy and his son Krishna Keerthan. It established that a criminal conspiracy was hatched by TDP at Gandipet from May 27, 2015, with aim of buying votes in the MLC polls. TDP MLAs and other accused met at Novatel Hotel, Hi-Tec City on May 30-31.

ACB said the `50 lakh seized in the sting operation was brought from Narender Reddy’s house by his son and handed over to Udaya Simha at Mettuguda. ACB recorded statements of drivers and gunmen of TDP leaders. Gopinath at one stage used his driver’s SIM card for precaution, ACB said.
